What a pleasant surprise Kitchen 57 was. I didn’t have any expectations coming in, but left super impressed. I’m not the biggest fan of American fare, but that changed after today! Each dish was different than the last and everything was phenomenal. The food was amazing, Sebastian, our server was just as amazing and the speed of service was phenomenal. I left STUFFED and I was happy about it. The cocktails and mocktails were amazing too. Check this place out asap!

We went here for happy hour to celebrate a birthday. We sat in the bar area. On Thursday’s they offer free campaign for woman and they have a great and reasonably priced selection of happy hour food. Every thing tasted great and Ana our waitress was friendly and always available. Some of the seats in the bar area were not comfortable to sit for long periods of time. The noise level was very loud and if someone was not sitting next to you, you could not hear conversations. There was plenty of paid street parking that required an app but was easy to use and to add time if needed. Street parking can get expensive if you are parked for any length of time. This place is very popular and it appears to be a local spot. It can get crowded and very loud.

Let me tell you about Cricket he is the best bartender in town, he is entertaining, vibrant full of passion about his job.. jokes are non stop! I recommend the food and drinks with a passion mind you I’m super picky. Adrian the manager came out and greeted us which was a nice personal touch to our visit. Love this place try it out !

Carlos (excellent server) and Adrian (manager) were awesome tonight. The food was great, much better option than eating at home! Everything is made from scratch and we loved the Brussels sprouts and chicken Parmesan. Also highly recommend the chicken breast from the simply grilled menu. The staff are friendly and very quick.

Google
First time! Love their social hour! Great options. The food was exceptional! The portions are generous. The staff is very attentive. Can’t wait to come back for dinner and try the short rib. Love the different seating options.

Google
The food was outstanding and the service was Top Tier. Thank you to the bartender Cricket made sure I had a great experience! Will definitely be back very soon! Great happy hour specials!

Google
Good was absolutely excellent!!! We enjoyed the happy hour menu such as the chicken wings and sliders. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the ice cream sandwich, not the usual flavor of vanilla or chocolate, having it with mint chocolate chip made it even better and the homemade cookies was awesome, plus the serving was big enough to share. Service was excellent, Carlos was our waiter and he was amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable about the options and made great recommendations. He was outstanding. If you have not gone to Kitchen57 it’s definitely a must to try

Stopped by on a work project with two co-workers in the greater Miami region. Our server was awesome. Food was pretty good. Definitely fresh in an area with lots to do by walking / touring. Had Wings and a salad. Would come back!

Yelp
The short version: Nice new place in a corner that has seen more than 3 restaurants in the last 5 years. Delicious food and very accommodating staff, they take reservations and make you feel welcome. Hope it survives the corner. The Experience Well, we had a birthday event so we had reservations for 12 and a couple of us went early to put on some table decorations and warn the servers we may very possibly have a "complainer" among the guests. (you know who we're talking about: always finds something wrong with everything.)... and, by the way, we're each getting our own check to avoid issues... We were greeted by the host, and who would be our server, Noelle, who thanked us for the heads up and was really, really helpful both with the setup and through the brunch itself (spoiler alert, our "complainer" behaved so well that the heads up was unnecessary, but I just needed to let you know you are not alone: every group has -at least- one). Anyway, back to the Brunch. Everyone said their dishes were good, but I can only speak for mine, which is the only one I tasted: Short rib eggs Benedict with truffle hollandaise. It was delicious. I would have liked a bit more meat on the short rib part, but it was good. The music on the restaurant was low enough to let you talk, and sweet enough to create ambiance, Noelle and the rest of the staff were awesome throughout the whole affair, and our birthday girl had fun and a good meal so we all left happy. Overall, a very good experience. Will come back!

Yelp
For starters, a homeless man named David kept intervening in my private conversation, then after feeling poorly for the homeless individual and offering him food, he was approached by the staff and brought a RedBull. To my surprise, David had been lying from the start, as well as the managers and servers. After a long day of work, NOT a good experience.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of meeting the chef owner Michael Altman and his lovely wife Cari at the Coral Gables Tour Of Kitchens and they were wonderful, we had to go visit them and of course we went for brunch and it was excellent! Drinks: Fizz Peanut Butter - super creative! Chef Altman said "it tastes like a peanut better jelly sandwich"! It does!! And wifey had bottomless mimosas (her usual) Feast: 57 Migas: sunny side eggs, crisp white corn chips made in-house, black beans, chorizo, roasted tomato picante sauce, sour cream, scallion, Mexican blended cheese * Short Rib Truffle Benedict: Braised beef short rib, bacon, grilled tomato, two poached eggs, English muffin, truffle hollandaise - the truffle with the sauce and everything, ufff! Popovers: fresh baked explosive bread with maple butter (made in house) and their berry jam 'Two Chocolate Bread Pudding: served with vanilla bourbon crème anglaise This might be a new family ritual monthly!!! And dinner is next!!!!

Yelp
Be sure to check out this gem in South Miami before there's a line around the block. Mouthwatering food at reasonable prices with amazing service is a rare find in Miami. The buffet salad is good enough to be a meal on its own. I also tried the veggie pizza with a cauliflower crust. It was thin and crispy and perfect. The key lime custard was a delightful end to the meal. It was tart and creamy and absolutely delicious. The other delight was our server, Carlos, who went out of his way to take special care of us. I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
Amazing! We came here with a group of ladies and it was fabulous! We started the evening with a French 75 and all of the courses were paired with different wines. The chef created a special dinner for our group and it was really great! If you are looking for an exceptional meal, this is the perfect place!

Yelp
Soooo yummy! Came here for brunch and had the S'mores Pancakes and also had the Philly Grilled Cheese and Cesar Salad, which was phenomenal! The Grilled cheese had a little spice to it that made it delicious. The pancakes were perfect and an awesome treat for my kid! 10/10 experience! The workers were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back! The restaurant was beautiful inside and made for a perfect brunch spot with delicious food worthy of pictures!

Yelp
We ate here for brunch and sat outside, as the weather was still nice out. Our server was friendly and the food was tasty. I had the sourdough egg sandwich which was yummy. Hubby got the burr-avocado toast which he liked as well. My son had the challah french toast and devoured the entire thing. Will come back for brunch again!

Yelp
This is my second time here! First time I came in I sat at the bar and was taken care of by Jay and by Abraham (the bar manager). They were so friendly and outgoing , I came alone and they kept me company and held a great conversation while still attending to other guests. I tried a few cocktails and was highly impressed. My first cocktail was the Hibiscus margarita, not sweet and not too bitter , just right ! Second was the Beer highball ( I was super intrigued by this cocktail and had to try it because it was paired with beer reduction pistachos) lastly I finished with the Old 57 , which contains chocolate bitters, the balance was great, it was very exquisite. As for my second time , Yoli was my server , very attentive , friendly and recommended a lot of great dishes. I sat in a table outside in the far corner where I can see other guest interactions and she was so sweet to all her tables and made them laugh a few times. Great service! Overall , I'm getting great vibes overall- food runners and bussers were on point. As for the food , this was my first time trying anything here. I ordered the shrimp pot stickers and they were SO delicious, not fishy , just right. Secondly, I ordered the wings . LISTEN, I am the queen of craving wings at least 2 times a week. By far one of the best wings I have had lately. Crispy , fresh, just enough sauce. I mean I wanted to stop eating and I could not. Overall this place is getting a 5 stars from me. I will be a frequent visitor , can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves! Till next time. Cheers

Yelp
Everything was very good and the service was the way service should be very friendly and easy-going. If this is a local spot to you, you have a great weeknight date night spot, but I have to say I was so surprised that the burger was absolutely delicious. Maybe the best thing I had. I got it with mushrooms and blue cheese and literally my mouth is drooling as I write this I would go back for this burger.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Very Nice ambiance-- they had live music on a Sunday afternoon and felt like I was on vacation somewhere in the keys. Food was great-- and they easily accommodated my request for a lettuce bun. Thank you-- I would recommended this restaurant to anyone looking to eat in the south Miami or Pinecrest are.

Yelp
Went for the lunch special yesterday, which is amazing! For $17, you get a large meal and an appetizer. I had the yucca fries and the chicken sandwich and both were delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Really good as always. Lovely and LIVELY happy hour on a Thursday evening. Excellent service! Thank u.

Yelp
The food is exquisitely prepared and plated very creatively. Service is really good. My party reserved the private dining room for a recognition lunch. We were treated special. Of the twenty guests everyone had a great meal.

Yelp
We have been here a few times and this is a perfect neighborhood restaurant. Our first time here we were exited to see Austin working here and he took excellent care of us. His recommendations were on point, and I have to say it's very refreshing to see that they offer an excellent salmon dish. Most restaurants salmon option is usually an afterthought, a plain grilled salmon with broccoli. Not here, the Miso Salmon is highlighted with a delicious green papaya salad. You can also request the temperature you would like your salmon cooked at unlike most places that serve it well done and dry. The Rigatoni Pomodoro and their Thai Chicken wings are also amazing. As I mentioned at the start, we have been here a few times and we have found the staff to be friendly, on point and very familiar with the menu. Sunny is hilarious and gave us new recommendations that were delicious. Marlin rocked it with the Chicken Melt and shoutout to Jacob for his attention to detail and hospitable service. The only miss we have had so far was with the Garbage Salad. It was swimming in the dressing so you could not taste anything but the ranch dressing. All that said, we can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Julia A.

Yelp
So far we have been pretty happy with the food in this place except that they are extremely stingy with their full priced drinks. They call this a full drink even when it's obvious they only poured less than 2oz when martinis are always 3oz.

Yelp
Kitchen 57 has great food, ambiance and service. Chef Michael was the executive chef at Town Kitchen and Bar and is now the chef/owner of Kitchen 57. He kept a few favorites from Town and has created some great dishes for this new menu. It's a great place for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. The outdoor seating is terrific - comfortable and plenty of it !!

Nika S.

Yelp
First visit & immediately appreciated the welcoming experience from owner / executive chef Michael! The summer lunch special simply cannot be beat! The food portions were great and the bartender, Tony, was a perfect balance of attentive & friendly but giving us our space. We ordered yuca fries, Brussel sprouts, Italian pizza and a plain cheese pizza. Yum!! Even the crust of the pizza was delish! A must try for locals and tourists alike.

Yelp
Terrific food and service! Loved the pizza and cocktails. Lots of options to share. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Poor service. We waited 15 minutes after being seated and many wait staff walked past us, never making eye contact. I had to go and let the host know that no one had come by. Finally someone came, he was not very attentive. Food mediocre after waiting another 30 minutes to get the food. We were also informed that they were closing early. We arrived at 1:25. They were closing at 3:30. Not sure why they felt the need to tell us when we came for lunch. Overall disappointing

Marcia S.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were excellent. We had small plates during happy hour of shrimp potstickers and sliders. They were delicious. The salads were large and they gave you plenty of protein. The wine was very good. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a delicious slice of bread pudding for us to share. The waiter- Noah was excellent. Very attentive and patient. The manager stopped by and appreciated our compliments.

MarthA G.

Yelp
I was disappointed with this food and service at this place. My friend were also complaining about the food and service. If you go, I would just do drinks.

Martha R.

Yelp
Just went there for a birthday party. The staff were so attentive, the food was delicious, and just so nice overall. Loved the miso salmon, perfectly balanced. Their appetizers were tasty. 10/10

Yelp
So glad this place opened up and offers a great neighborhood ambiance! We've been twice in the last 3 weeks for Happy Hour as a group of 15. Both times they have accommodated us in the lounge and it's been so nice. The waitstaff is attentive and very nice. Bar bites and drinks are amazing!!! We'll be back for a nice dinner in the near future.

Yelp
Love this new neighborhood restaurant. The service was fantastic. I ordered the BBQ Ribs and they were some of the best ribs I have ever had. My husband had the mahi Reuben and my daughter had the cheese pizza and they loved theirs as well. I appreciated that they had a diverse menu so everyone in the family is happy.

Allen S.

Yelp
Excellent service from Brittany. Great food very good value. Short Rib Grilled Cheese was amazing! Will go again soon.

Andrea J.

Yelp
The food was very clean and fresh. Service and ambiance great. I'm from New York came here on a whim and I was very satisfide.

Sophia D.

Yelp
Born and raised in Miami, have not had true hospitality here like this in a WHILE. Carlos was our server and he was excellent. Made great recommendations. Everything we had food-wise was excellent as well. Ambience caters to just about anything. Upscale casual? (For Miami lol take that as you will). Highly recommend.

Romeo M.

Yelp
Even better the second visit. Sat in the breezeway for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon . South Miami is a beautiful part of Miami to dine for lunch. Will be back soon.

Yelp
Finally a quality family style, neighborhood restaurant back in South Miami! Everything was great, especially the short rib tacos, pizza and chicken parm. Love the vibe and atmosphere. Definitely my new watering hole and local spot to eat.

Maria C.

Yelp
Sebastian was awesome and very understanding. He showed exceptional service which is important for me when eating with my baby considering she is usually very active and can make a mess. He brought over some carrots for her to play with and enjoy herself and that really helped us enjoy the experience.

Dominique M.

Yelp
slow service, too much sauce on rigatoni the table clothes which are wiped down with dirty rags very disappointed

Lynne P.

Yelp
Food was very good. Pretty noisy but when a restaurant charges $1.50 for a side of salad dressing, it is absurd. After paying over $300 for dinner, we would been fine if our bill was $301.50 and it was just built into the price

Jill K.

Yelp
Horrible service aside from bartender, food below average, costs high for what you get. I wonder it is absolutely empty! Avoid!

Lois G.

Yelp
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant is back only it's actually new and improved! Updated reasonably priced menu with some improvements and some mainstays! Salads, pizza and steak all terrific! Service great. We sat outdoors bc it's quieter.

Nan E.

Yelp
Great food, hospitality, and ambience at Kitchen 57 last night, which happened to be New Year's Eve. My roast chicken was fantastic, tender and full of flavor, with a medley of roasted vegetables. Hard to do something so simple this well. Husband said his Cioppino (seafood stew) was the best restaurant meal he has had in a long while. Bowl was wiped clean with bread that came alongside. What a welcome addition to fine dining options in South Miami.

Rafael R.

Yelp
Good food and ambience. We had reservations set back a short while but the staff more than made up for it. Will go again!

Fran F.

Yelp
I don't leave many reviews but we had such a delightful meal at this restaurant. The hostess was very accommodating and arranged some tables together so we could sit our party of 8 outside. The outside dining area is great. All of our food was delicious, I particularly loved the grilled salmon over the papaya salad. My husband loved his short ribs. And you really need to get the bread pudding for dessert , it was amazing and I don't even like bread pudding! Our group left happy.

Harold K.

Yelp
We had an awesome meal. There were 6 of us and everyone found a dish they liked. Finally a go-to place in South Miami.

Allison R.

Yelp
The drinks are amazing. Perfect atmosphere. Such a great experience. I love the bartender. I think his name is cricket. Definitely check him out. My go to spot from now on

Eric W.

Yelp
This place just opened so we had to check it out. It is a fun place to grab a cocktail or glass of wine and a nice meal! Very approachable menu with a wide variety of food at reasonable prices, along with really interesting and tasty cocktails. You can get anything here from a burger or pizza and beer, to a nice steak, seafood or ribs, all with great service and a comfortable atmosphere! We had the short rib grilled cheese sandwich and the chicken parmesan dinners and loved it! Don't skip the bread pudding or mint chip chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich for dessert --- yummy.
