DO NOT go there when they first open or they'll sell you Old food! We paid $95.00 for day old food. I'm a cook so I know how freshly cooked meat should look. The chicken, ribs and brisket have a grayish tint to the meat with an ammonia smell. The food is old. Customer service is lacking. Very unfriendly owner. Like dude, you're selling food in the COMPTON! Your customers literally have to walk through mud to patronize your food truck. Get over yourself! We won't be going back!!!

BBQ hit the spot!!! It was really good better than a lot of other BBQ spots you’re gonna find. No complaints on my side, went on a Sunday and there was a very small line so in less then 30mins had my food.

The food and the service were amazing! We got there early enough that there wasn't a long wait for our food. I am in love with their mac n cheese! By far the best that I've had in a while. Parking is limited, but there is a shopping center across the street that has plenty of spaces available.

I regret giving Kitchen Corner, one of our Black-owned restaurants, a 2 out of 5 rating. I had eagerly anticipated visiting the truck for some time and was excited to learn they had opened a restaurant at 8320 Alondra Boulevard in Long Beach, as I am not a fan of food trucks. My few attempts to visit the truck on Rose St were hindered by large crowds and limited parking, as there were many food trucks on the main street. On Friday, February 20th, 2026, I finally tried the barbecue. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed upon returning home. The ribs were dry, resembling leftovers or possibly overcooked, reheated, or not—I couldn’t tell. The brisket included at least two pieces with excessive fat, which I plan to include pictures of. I spent $35 today after waiting so long out of anticipation to try this place, but I was ultimately let down. Not finding option to upload photos.

I will start with , The food was good. I paid over 43.00 for a two meat plate with an extra side. My Hot was not done, the Greens had a bunch of stems and meat, the potatoe salad that I paid 5.00 extra for was only 3 spoons, container was half empty. plus the wait was long to order, they really need more help. But again the food was good

The Mac n Cheese is the best being served to the public hands down! The pork ribs and brisket was on point! Highly recommend to those into BBQ!

The sides are the best 👌 but the ribs didn't do it for me going back to try different types of meat 😅 🤔 😕 stay tuned

this place was extraordinarily good and you don't even have to wait that long for your food big back activities I'm celebrating my birthday for the whole month every Sundaythe food never made it to the dining room table

First off very clean and inviting truck with a lady selling home made beverages like lavender or strawberry lemonade and cakes and desserts. When we stood in line trying to look at the menu a man working the truck called us over and welcomed us to try some of their bbq. Man oh man my kids are your typical picky eaters but not today. I couldn't decide so I decided to try a bit of everything with THE TRY MAN combo. My sons and I both thought everything was soooo bomb. Great smokey black pepper flavor. If you like a rich sweet brown sugar bbq sauce they got you covered. I tried the meat with and without the sauce NEITHER disappointed. I saw them on Instagram and normally I don't go find a place I see on social media but I'm glad I did and we will for sure be back. I would gladly pay the money for the TRY MAN combo again. Came with beef rib, brisket, spare ribs, chicken, hot link, I think chicken sausage, rolls and two sides. Just a heads up I originally asked for their Mac and cheese and some mashed potatoes but since they ran out I opted for the collard greens. Holy smokes! I've tried some before, but these sealed the deal for me that I do enjoy collard greens, well at least from Kitchens Corner BBQ

Ordered pork ribs they looked raw and had a strong pork odor Replaced with chicken which smelled like it was cooked under the ribs and the juice poured onto the chicken I Ordered on Xmas even the food wasn't good. I tried again today... it worst. The sides were GREAT! 1/3/26 Manchester truck friendly, customer service was great!

Went to order beef ribs at the Compton location. Little did we know when we got home, they gave us pork ribs. We don't eat pork at home. When we ordered the ribs there was no notice of the establishment not selling beef ribs. We got home and were extremely disappointed about the food. We went back and told them what happened, the person who took our order did not say a word as he was standing next to the person who gave us our $ back. I'm glad we were reimbursed but, DEFINITELY not returning again.

As a big foodie and Yelp Elite, I love supporting up-and-coming food trucks and small businesses, especially Black-owned spots that are getting buzz on social media. Kitchen's Corner BBQ has definitely been one of those Instagram-famous trucks that content creators have been hyping up, so of course, I had to pull up and see if it lived up to the hype. First, let me paint the picture: it's literally a BBQ pit set up in the back of a food truck with a white tent in front of the city library. Heads up -- do not park in the library lot unless you're actually going inside because the signs are clear and they do ticket/tow. Next to the truck, there was also a seasoned lady selling desserts and cold drinks (not sure if she's part of the business but it felt like a collab). When I ordered, I asked about the "3 for $30" special I saw on Instagram. The young man taking orders confirmed it was available, so I went with brisket, ribs, and a hot link, plus mac & cheese and collard greens for my sides. Here's my breakdown: * The Meat: Tender? Absolutely -- it melted in my mouth, and I'll give that a 10/10. But temperature and flavor? That's where I was a little let down. The brisket and ribs were just warm, not piping hot like I prefer, and the seasoning felt very heavy on black pepper. It seemed like the meat was waiting around for the next order, so the BBQ sauce carried most of the flavor. The sauce itself had a nice kick, but I personally like when the seasoning and smoke speak for themselves. For me, the meat was a 5/10 in flavor, but still cooked well. * The Sides: The mac & cheese and collard greens were the stars of my plate. They came out hot (how I like it!) and flavorful. No complaints at all -- these sides hit the mark. * The Vibe: It's a true street-food setup -- casual, simple, with content creators literally right there filming themselves hyping up their plates. I even saw one guy setting his food bag on the concrete floor while slurping up his greens on camera, calling it all a "10/10." That's when I knew I had to keep it real with my Yelp fam. Overall, I wouldn't say Kitchen's Corner BBQ is bad -- it's just not the life-changing BBQ that social media makes it out to be. It was good but not great, and for the price point, I think some people might walk away expecting more based on the hype. Still, the tenderness of the meat and those sides definitely deserve love, and I respect the hustle of Black-owned food trucks making their mark in LA's competitive food scene. Would I come back? Maybe, especially to try more of the sides and see if the meat hits differently on a busier day. But I want to be real with my review so folks know what to expect -- no exaggeration, just the truth of my experience. Look out for my next foodie adventure!

When I tell yall best barbecue in Compton I MEAN IT !! Their advertisement on Instagram got me there and I so happy it did . Shout out to the guy when I went that told me about the special they were having . They always have specials through the week. Mac n cheese and potato salad were so flavorful. Link was hot fresh off the grill . Brisket had so much flavor my only issue was it not being hot it's was warm for sure . It was so good I didn't wait to go home and eat it I ate it in the car. But if you're patient warming in up at the crib will do you justice . Other then that it's was TOP NOTCH . And we love and support black owned businesses!!!

Made the drive from Venice today and absolutely loved what they're doing with this side of the road operation. Arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday and there were 4-5 people ahead of us, but the line moved fast. Good thing we arrived when we did because the line started growing quite a bit while we were there. The pork ribs, brisket and chicken we ordered were cooked to absolute perfection. Super tasty bark without being overly salty. The BBQ sauce is super unique with an almost honey-glaze consistency, and our mac & cheese and collard greens were absolutely delicious. There are also some cool stands around it selling super crazy lemonades and homemade baked goods. Everyone running the various tents were so friendly. Worth the visit. We will be back.

I saw this BBQ spot all over Instagram and decided to try their $15 special, 1/2 brisket and a large side. After driving 30 minutes and waiting in line, I got only 6 small slices of brisket. That's a sad looking plate if you ask me, who would get full off that lol The brisket was just okay, nothing memorable. Sauce was average too. The mac n cheese was the only highlight, super cheesy and tasty. Overall, not worth the hype or the drive

I'm giving this truck 2 stars because I've eaten here before but this last time my brisket tasted like dried roast beef and I understand a pink ring from the bbq smoke but my ribs were not done maybe rare !!!! ... 40.00 down the drain

I have been wanting to try this place #kitchenscorner bbq for quite some time. I ordered simple stuff #ribtips #dinnerroll #macandcheese #hotlink it was yummy. The rib tips were very tender I tell they were slow cooked for hours, hot link was good too. Service was great the wait wasn't bad yesterday. Its a order and go place, parking can be challenging but I found a parking spot quick. I will definitely go back again and explore other items on the menu. Also wish I would have asked for more bbq sauce. Alma's has yummy lemonade and great desserts #eatlocal...

Overall it was just ok. Would I return? No. The wait was about 30 minutes. I got two meats ribs and Turkey Al Cart. There was too much peppercorn on both of my meats and the ribs was not done. I bit into them and all you can taste was peppercorn no real season and then I just saw red. The sides did not look good at all.

Every time I come here they are always respectful and helpful, the brisket is so good and soft it's falls off before you pick it up so delicious

I went to the Manchester location. Based on the feedback from those standing in line, this somewhat long line was much shorter than the Compton location. I arrived about 1pm, so roughly 2 hours after they open. There were about 10 people ahead of me. I wanted to try this place based on the IG and Tik Tok rave. My intention was to go with their smoked ox tails, ribs and brisket for my daughter and I. By the time I was up to place my order, they were sold out of everything except pork ribs and dino ribs. I went with the pork ribs and 1 side of mac and cheese. They didn't have yams today, they were sold out of collard greens. Hungry and eager to see what all the rave was about. Not bad, but certainly not great. The inconsistency of a few pieces were really dry and others were a bit more like pork chops instead of ribs. There was really no flavor to them. That normal BBQ rib on the grill taste of falling off the bone did not happen. The mac and cheese was actually one I wouldn't pay for again. You could taste salt and pepper, nothing else. Not sure what cheese they used, not sure how it was cooked, but the extra salty was huge no for my daughter and I. It just wasn't what I was expecting after so much hype. For the price (special was sold out), I don't think it was worth the drive nor the cost. The guys' service was great. I think they could use a better system for ordering food that's already cooked just waiting to be prepared. Overall, not sure I'd make a special trip for it again.

I've been following Kitchen's Corner on social media since it only had one location and was just a solo-operated tent, and I recently had the chance to try it with my friend and girlfriend. We both ordered two 1/2lb fatty brisket plates during their Sunday brisket promotion and it was FIRE. Genuinely some of the best brisket I've had, and the mac was on the same level, if not almost outshined the brisket. Portions were very generous, each plate (which was $17) was enough to feed my girlfriend and I and the service was awesome as well. The owner(s) are really easy going, down to earth people who are serious about putting out some fire food. Highly recommend and will be returning soon!

Ordered brisket, ribs (pork), rib tips, dyno rib, greens, beans, mac and cheese. Received brisket, ribs, rib tips, 2 dyno ribs, greens large amd regular, small beans. This was 150 and dis not received what was ordered Brisket was cut so thin could take the bark mild smoke flavor tender. Spare ribs we seasoned and tender, rib tips were good. Beans were ok basic bbq bean. Dyno rib was dried out at edges, bark was good, tender. Line was not so bad went to the Compton location. Over all I think a 4 star is appropriate. Flavors are good but not over the top.

After feeding into the hype wife and I went to this place and the mistake was being the 1st ones there at open. Price of meat tray was $30-$35 online however upon arrival was told by I suppose by a manager or owner that its $40. To make matters worst we spent $85.00 and was given meat that was not cooked on the spot but instead given ribs, chicken and brisket that was with grey texture that appeared to be old and not the freshest. Also had an ammonia smell. Customer service was dry and off putting from person taking order and just not a good experience. Got home and thoroughly disappointed with the almost $100 purchase of day before old cooked meat we were sold. I wouldn't recommend this place to a starving dog. Maybe they hype has went to their head that they think it's ok to serve and sale precooked old meat. MEAT WAS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! We wanted to call and complain but there is no number listed to call as we live way out. This place is a joke!!

I'll just say the food was unsatisfying and the portion of meat was disappointing. The guy that prepared my order, I believe on purpose put an empty 8oz container with no lid in my meal. The gentleman that took my order was very professional.

bruhhhhh, why was the bbq that damn bomb??? like i was expecting some dry as none flavorful brisket and it was the complete opposite. The BBQ sauce, OMG made you wanna slap somebody momma it was sooooooooo bombdiggittty. The Mac nd cheese was , the Collard Greens was my personal favorite since my fatass is on a diet. the service was actually not too bad. for being packed and everyone ordering big giant pans full of Food, they got your food out pretty fast. now the area is pretty Sketch tho. i'm from La puente but my family was raised in the 50's so manchester and western can get a little dangerous at any time. but if the food trucks are there people are more accepting and less on yo head about where you from. overall i think this is the best BBq spot around. i will be going back!!!!!! p.s. my only complaint is they need to make the sides bigger, and wish they had some yams on deck tho!

I saw a review that @latryguy recently did from a food truck in Compton, California. So I was recently in Pico Rivera so I decided to drive to Compton and have some barbecue!!! With the traffic it took me approximately 40 minutes to get there and with the line another 15 minutes to place the order. now I will say the gentleman taking the order was super kind and personable. He took his time explaining the different options and when I told him about the review I had saw on social media he even threw in a complementary side. While I was waiting, he offered to have me try a cornbread muffin that was not included with my meal and I will say it was very good. Onto the food ....when the meal was $90 and there was only a Dino rib, three pork ribs, two pieces of chicken, one hotlink, four slices of brisket along with two sides I do think that's a little pricey!!! oh I forgot about the rolls. The sides that we selected were mac & cheese and the greens. The side that was given to me, complementary was the candid yams.. now I will say this.... the mac & cheese was some of i've had!

It was good. I went after seeing a reel so I felt I needed to try. Purchased a two meat meal and some oxtail and upgraded to get sides with that since you can't pick oxtail or Dino ribs with the two meat combo. Realized after getting home that my two sides for the two meat meal were missing. No phone number to call so just bad luck for us. For the two meat meal we got ribs and brisket. Both of these meats were our favorite. Brisket was nice and tender and the ribs were flavorful. Didn't love the sauce, it was more sweet and sour than traditional bbq which is not our preference but I'm sure great for those that prefer that flavor. Oxtails were a little overcooked so they were chewy but had decent flavor. Potato salad had a little kick and was ok and the beans were super good. Sucks we didn't get to give the Mac and cheese and greens a try since they were missing. Recommend trying for yourself and glad I got to try.

This is my second time having the pleasure to eat at kitchens corner , and I must say both times were just amazing. The staff is very welcoming and inviting, it always has this home type of feeling that I love whenever I eat here. I have zero complaints, I guess I missed the train when they used to serve kool aid but big love to kitchens corner !

Went at 6pm on a Friday to the Compton location and there was no line. I did the insta special 3 meats for $30 (w/ 2 sides included) and it was so delicious! Definitely worth the drive and the service was amazing. I'm from Texas so I love bbq and was surprised by the juiciness of the meats. Highly recommend the beans and brisket! Try to bring cash as well, but they do accept card. Devoured it super fast, food coma speedrun. They really know how to cook soul food

Got to the truck at 11:18 ordered at 11:51 and it's now 12:31 without our food, plus 2 others in front of us who still need their order all while standing in the 90 degree heat. I don't care how good the food is, this kind of wait is completely unacceptable.I don't care about the food at this point. We ordered 50 minutes ago. I will never come back here again. We finally got our food at 12:43.

Top BBQ in the area. They always have a long line during mid-day so before it opens or after 3pm its the best time to come with usually 10+ or so people in line. I always get the 3 meat combo with ribs, hot link and brisket which was excellent. The entire plate was fire! They also have turkey legs, oxtails, chicken and sometimes i see fish on the menu.. The best you'll find around town and davidlee is one of the nicest people i met! Very friendly and helpful. I came from far away to enjoy this. If you come at 4-5pm its risky because they run out of items and its expected due to the volume of customers they get! Everything is fire, it's the whole rib,an u can see the seasoning on the rib and taste it,and the sides the greens mac&cheese off the chain, and the staff on point,but the most important person is the pitmaster, the bro got skills, and great people skills,,,we travel from riverside to kitchen corner to got our b.b.q,

Manchester Location: Check your order and ask for a receipt . The cashier gave himself a gratuity of five dollars via overcharging me ( paid cash). By the time I realized this, they had closed and moved on. In addition, I ordered a dinner that was supposed to have two sides and I only received one. It was a container with 3 bites of potato salad in it. In regards to the food. It was very good and neatly assembled. Be careful when you check your order though, because the aluminum foil used rips up easily.

Food was on point. The brisket ribs and links omg!!! I tried everything without the sauce and it definitely was the real deal. Will be going again.

I had to give 1 Star my Brisket was undercooked and had a Bad Smell to it, I was so Upset! They Need to be Ashamed of themselves Serving Old, Undercooked meat! The times I went before The meat Was thoroughly Cooked and Tender, that day totally turned me off and I'm afraid to come Back. The Sauce is watered Dwn, Mac n Cheese too Garlicy, beans(can), Sides Small, the little bread is Normally Soft n Fresh, line moves fast, not in a desired are but hey, Alma that's the Cake it's Too Sweet, No butter, don't waste your money.

This place is a hidden gem. Very good meat. You could tell they know what they're doing with smoking the meat. The seasoning is on point and the sauce is really tasty. The gentleman at the Machester location are very polite too.

First time trying this place.. mac and cheese salty, yams cold. It's over rated, greens taste okay . I like my food hot no cold. Never go back again. MEAT IS NOT HOT IT'S was warm.

my job used kitchen's corner to cater today for our a special event for 200+ employees. they were on time, and let me just say the food did not dissapoint! we had ribs, chicken, chicken links, brisket and mac n cheese and potato salad. ribs- tender and fall off the bone and not overcooked with a nice ring from the smoke. didnt need bbq sauce chicken- perfectly grilled, cooked just right and not dry. didnt need bbq sauce either to eat this mac n cheese and potato salad- these sides were made with l o v e.....the key ingredient missing in most of today's food! service- chef lee and his staff were great from beginning to end! even tho we had 200 hungry employees, there were 0 complaints and everyone went back to work happy and full! if you are in the compton area or south la off manchester n western area, stop by and show this business some love!! you will not be disappointed! come early and you will leave happy! if you have to wait, trust me if will be worth it!

Came here on a Friday. Been trying to get this BBQ for a while but the line is usually really long. Luckily I came on Friday at a great time. No line, instantly walked up and ordered. I got the Try Guy meal. Unfortunately they were out of chicken, but I asked if I can replace it with turkey and they did. The gentleman working that day were so nice, helpful and patient. I also got to sample the gumbo for that day which was also good. The meat was tender full of flavor. The worker was honest and said we wouldn't need the sauce, very true! Definitely had leftovers for the next few days. I would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Cannot rate Ambiance for a food truck. BBQ is legit! Chicken Sausage link was good with a little spice and not overcooked. Chicken was tasty as well. Food is served as take out in an aluminum tray covered with foil. Macaroni and Cheese was the best away from home I have had in awhile and the greens were good too. Food comes with 2 dinner rolls. I would go again as it is best BBQ I have had in So Cal since I returned in '22.

Today I stopped by Kitchens Corner BbQ for the first time, I've been seeing it on the gram for a while and could never just bring myself to travel from Palmdale to Compton for it, well after today I might have to rethink that because everything that I had was great, the brisket was tender juicy, not dry, the pot link was linkin and my chicken was very flavorful. The sides I got Potato salad and baked beans, it was tasty for BBQ it just wasn't mine but good all the same. Overall I loved it and will definitely be back. Also I can't for get Alma's Place her deserts reminded me of Grandma's and Kool-Aide/Lemonades are definitely an accompaniment to any meal whether Kitchens Corner BBQ or your own meal at home.... just get it trust me it won't disappoint ... i would take a photo but i couldn't wait to try it

I thought getting brisket out of a food truck was crazy work until I actually tried it and I never go anywhere else for bbq now. Hands down so flavorful and seasoned. The brisket is super tender and full of flavor not bland at all, the sides are good the Mac and cheese is so yummy, cheese all through the b! I like how they have deals throughout different days of the week, service is fast and reliable.

I had heard about this spot for a while. First thing was the music outside. it was so loud I had to shout to place my order. I got the 2 meat platter with rib tips and a link, along with a side of baked beans and potato salad. The rib tips were mostly gristle and fat. Only one link included. The bbq sauce was thin and terrible as were the beans and potato salad. All the food lacked flavor. This is by far the worse bbq I have ever had and I have been to several spots throughout the states over the years. AND an outrageous price of $30.00 for that disaster of a meal ! Both the L.A. Try Guy and L.A. Food I.E. Guy, who spoke so highly of this spot must have never eaten bbq before or maybe his taste buds were affected by Covid.

If you want a plate, get there before the truck pulls up and wait. It's worth it. We pulled up about 15 minutes before the truck arrived and there was already a small line. We got out and people were talking. A man told us he was there yesterday during his lunch break and had to come back for more. Someone else said she was there for 8 plates. The people come and they buy, so most days the truck will run out. That's why I strongly suggest arriving early. The food is so good! Everything comes in a foil pan with a cover that I really liked. The food was seasoned, hot and delicious. Good barbecue can be hard to find, but this place deserves all of the clout it has received so far. The chef is so nice and friendly. He knows his regulars. He knows his barbecue. 10/10 experience.

Best bbq I've ever had. However on my last visit and it's been a couple of months because the food was dare I say... not well prepared. It was a Friday plate special that he was running for ribs with brisket, and two sides for $20. I was very disappointed that the ribs were not tender or juicy like they had been in the past, and they cut off the rib tips, and the rub that was put on the ribs and brisket,were not good at all they were it was more like a coarse pepper and some other seasoning I just couldn't figure it out, I'm pretty sure this had to have been a different cook it just wasn't the same. The greens were over salted and so was the mac and cheese.

Came from Garden Grove to try this food. Be wanting to try for a couple of years. I have to say , this food was horrible. The brisket is the cheap brisket point that you use for corn beef and cabbage . It was very dry. The ribs were flavored good but had not meat. The greens tasted season with chicken broth. Much better than these other places. The Mac and cheese was dry. The potato salad was horrid. And the bbq sauce was watered down. The portions sizes are ridiculous.

Food was great, very tender and flavorful. The outside smells like most of La, reeks like urine. People waiting for their food were supper nice as. The employees were nice too. It's a bit pricy for what you get. I'm glad I came and ate here but more than likely won't be coming back.

I expected more flavor with meat... Sides not great, but if you live in the area it's good to patronize. But I traveled across city and I was disappointed after the travel.

But I didn't mind waiting which was about 15 to 20 minutes. But you have food that is fresh. This is not fast food. This is soul food.!!

I went to the Compton location. I didn't receive all the sides I ordered. Dino rib- WAY too salty Pork rib- not done enough & pink It wasn't the best I've tried and I wouldn't go back.

I thought I was going to be blown away. Brisket (point), was ok not very flavorful. Pork ribs, were also ok not flavorful or tender. Mac was not good. Potato salad was very mustardy. Just ok. Baked beans were also just ok. Nothing against anyone. I'm just a fat dude looking for good eats.
