I had an extremely upsetting and humiliating experience at this location. The manager on duty took pictures of me without consent and called security when I questioned why. I came in wearing my work badge, asked about a frozen espresso martini, and was ignored by the two cashiers for about a minute while they talked. When I finally placed my order, they asked if I worked at the airport and said they couldn’t serve me because of my badge. I explained I worked for an airline, not the airport, but they told me to leave, remove my badge, and return without it while they checked with their manager.
When I came back without my badge, the manager refused service, saying I shouldn’t have entered with my badge in the first place. As I was leaving, he took a picture of me. When I asked why, he said it was so staff would know not to serve me and that it was “a public place.” He then called security and described me specifically as “an African American female,” which felt racially motivated. Security found no issue, but the manager also told me I could be watched on their cameras while waiting.
This entire encounter was unprofessional, degrading, and discriminatory. I felt targeted and deeply uncomfortable. I will not be returning.
