Kitty’s is the best!! Their cheesecakes are delicious. They have the Superman cheesecake, too, which is a yummy Detroit staple! A must try! Kitty’s always helps me out when I’m in a pinch, too. They have saved me many times with last minute cheesecakes! My friend came in town last minute for his birthday and I ran in there hoping they had something available. They had a banana pudding cheesecake available last minute, I grabbed it, and it was absolutely delicious! None of them disappoint. Try all the wonderful flavors. You won’t be disappointed! :) Plus they have ready to eat slices! Yummy.

Love them down! Being a recurring customer for years I brought in new people to experience the deliciousness that is Kitty's Cheesecakes. They absolutely loved the choc chip cookies, I ordered the strawberry swirl cheesecake for a bday which was loved as well, and the sweet potato (which is my november favorite). Absolutely amazing! Also recommend if you can order it in advance the gluten free cheesecake.

Very nice lady not sure if she’s the owner or what but didn’t rush me helped me make a good decision on what I wanted it’s hard to choose everything looks so good prices are good $7 a slice my favs the biscoff and the Cinnabon parking was the only thing that was kind of a issue

HIDDEN GEM! My first impression of Kitty's Cheesecakes & More struck me before I took my first step inside. As soon as I opened their door this afternoon, I was greeted with a wonderful, fresh, sweet smell of baked goods. I was pleasantly overwhelmed with all the variety of options I had to choose from. From common choices like Plain and Cherry Cheesecake to ones I've never heard of like Purple Rain (Faygo Grape Soda) and Sweet Potato Pie (regular cake & cheesecake double decker). All looked to be the traditional New York Style Cheesecake. Kitty's had other sweets for sale but I was only there for the cheesecake. I purchased 4 slices of cheesecake: Strawberry Shortcake, Pecan Pie, Orange Dreamcicle, & Caramel. Caramel: perfectly dense, mild in flavor, 7/10, I wish it had a little more caramel on it. Orange Dreamcicle: perfectly dense too, nice flavor, creamy for both Dreamcicle and cheesecake, 100% recommended, 9/10 Pecan Pie (husband's choice): again dense, smooth, small pieces of nuts in pie, very very mild in flavor (almost wouldn't know what flavor it was if I wasn't told), 5/10 (for being cheesecake it's still good) Strawberry Shortcake: LISTEN, this is my favorite so far!! Also dense but smooth, LOTS of flavor, taste almost like those Good Humor strawberry crunch ice cream bars, 100% recommend as well, 10/10. The staff was extremely courteous and polite. They had smiles on their faces the whole time and greeted us upon entry and wished us well on our exit. The price is reasonable. Similar to any other place that offers a slice of cheesecake as a treat or dessert. I will be back!!😍🍰 Next time I'll be trying the Lemon, Oreo, and maybe the Lion Cheesecake (inspired by the Detroit Lions I assume).

Every time I visit I walk out with a smile. Not only are the cakes delicious, but the staff and shop itself is a delight. They are always so helpful and patient. They deserve all the business they get! ☺️ Some of my favorites are the Biscoff and carrot cake cheesecakes.

My mother-in-law is not a huge fan of cakes, and her birthday was coming up. We wanted something to have at her birthday party which would add to the birthday celebrations and that she would love. After spending some time doing research on the best cheesecakes in Detroit, I came across Kitty’s Cheesecakes… And was immediately drawn to the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. They have lots of amazing flavours to choose from, with beautiful colour options to match - yet and still, the Sweet Potato was what I was most drawn to. I made the order over the phone early in the week, which was super easy & we were given very clear instructions on when we could pick-up the cheesecake on the Saturday! Our entire family could not have been happier with the cheesecake! It was soooooo incredibly delicious. The base had the perfect crunch and you could tell that it was freshly made and most importantly - made with love. Next time I’m in Detroit, I would love to try more of the options that they have with cakes as well as cheesecakes!! Amazing service, kind and professional staff and management, and DELICIOUS cheesecakes that are moreish!!!

Glad to have been able to experience kitties cheesecake I'm not a huge fan of cheesecake, but they had so many options that I was able to find something that I liked. I got around three different cheesecakes and let some family try them, and they love them Kitty cheesecake does not have a lot of seating at all so people normally come in get their cheesecake and go when you first drive by you'll see that there isn't really parking but you can park right in front of the store on the side of the road and that's what the staff members told me if you love cheesecake definitely stop here and pick your flavors. They definitely have cheesecake for everybody. The interior design could use some upgrading or not, it gave a feel of back in the day. Definitely a hidden delicacy. Thank you for the cheesecake!!

I stopped by on a day they were shut down for the holidays. The holiday hours were not updated. There was a paper signage on the door indicating holiday hours. From what I could see, the establishment looked clean and well organized. I heard the cheese cake was phenomenal and really wanted to try it. I traveled from downriver to try. I will stop by if ever I am in the area again. I based my ratings off of word of mouth positive reviews.

Looking for very good, local business cheesecakes? This is the place. Where by the slice which is nice, that way you can try it first, or a whole one, their variety has many many flavors I never would have thought of. They also bake cakes as well, and offer slices or whole too. I would just recommend ordering ahead of time if you want one. Kitty took care of us, great customer service and very personable. Will definitely be back!

Such a cute little spot with lots of choices for dessert deliciousness!! I got the banana pudding cheesecake and the plain cheesecake with strawberry. All baked fresh and served to go! Yummy!!

Came for the yelp event. Location is along the road and may be hard to spot but there are signs in the sidewalk leading to the shop and parking lot. I chose the brownie cheesecake- 2 layers brownie and 1 layer cheesecake in the middle. The cheesecake layer itself was not my favorite but the brownie layers were delicious and had a light fudge layer on top. Brownie was crispy, fudgy, and generous.

Mother and daughter run operation here. The vibe here is incredible remember to ask for kitty. The cheesecake selection is the best I have ever seen. I swear to you that this place gets a lot of customers. I lost count at 5 as one by one they kept walking in the door. The purple rain cheesecake is my favorite grape tasty cheesecake. The only thing this place is lacking is just coffee. I guarantee you will come here again and again. Just make sure you give yourself some time around the holidays. That is all. Ms Kitty was friendly and personable when we stopped to sample the cheesecake for a Yelp event. We enjoyed the strawberry brownie cheesecake, but what really caught my attention were the mile high cakes on the back counter. If I make my way back, I'm definitely going to try the cake. The interior is cute, but I would recommend getting your dessert to go and enjoying it as a midnight snack.

Every single cheesecake here is delicious! I haven't yet found one I didn't like! Creamy and full of flavor! Only downside is the parking! lol but the cheesecake does make up for it!

Kitty's is fantastic! The perfect place to stop for a special sweet treat. With a plethora of varieties including strawberry topped, chocolate varieties, superman, red velvet, peach, and my favorite, banana pudding, there is a flavor to suit everyone. The cheesecake is creamy and dreamy. I usually stop by for one or two flavors by the slice, but also available are whole cheesecakes, cakes, ice cream and cobblers. Oftentimes I can't wait to get home to eat it. I find myself stopping at red lights to have a forkfull. It's conveniently located on 8 Mile Road across the road from the Meijer strip mall. Great prices and customer service. I highly recommend!

I love cheesecakes. My favorite dessert so when I saw this I had to stop. The owner Miss Kitty was there she was friendly and sweet. Her daughter waited on us and it was great to know that this was a family owned Black business. Love supporting small family businesses. Well we had so many choices but we stuck with three. Strawberry Shortcake, Purple. Rain and Birthday cake. All smashingly delicious but the birthday cake was beyond amazing the cake with cheesecake combo was priceless. If you're in Ferndale stop in and literally treat yourself. Say hello to Miss Kitty. She's a sweetheart.

I haven't been in forever since I'm trying to lose another 75 lbs (I've lost 125) but if I splurge, this will be my first stop! Every flavor I have tried has been decadent and I have tried quite a few of Kitty's flavors! Each time we go, we get 4-5 slices so the 3 of us can all have our own slice and share the others! Absolutely delicious

It's a non-descript shop on 8 mile, more or less across from meijer. Cars speeding by in excess of 50mph. Only street parking available. The Snickers cheesecake is super light and airy. It's not a thick or dense cheesecake at all, not what I am used to at all. The cheesecake has cream cheese in it, but it's almost too subtlety dosed with cream cheese for some odd reason. I really can't decide if I like it or not. It feels oddly mushy but not bad, just an odd texture overall. It's not my thing in the end. My husband enjoyed it more than me at least. Their most popular is the strawberry shortcake, not my thing, but I believe they. $5 for the snickers cheesecake slice.

Kitty's cheesecake is an experience for the cheesecake lover. Kitty's Superman cheesecake is so creative and delicious we brought home 3 pieces and 1 of the Superman cheesecake/cake combo. Another delicious slice was the purple rain. If you like grape Faygo this one is for you. Last, the strawberry cheesecake was Kitty's husband's favorite. He was spot on. Yum! This place has the best, most inventive cheesecake you'll ever dibs anyway. Kitty is a delight, and her husband is so kind to come help her on weekends. I advise you to run not walk here for some delicious treats. Kitty is awesome, and deserves huge recognition!!!!!!

The cheesecakes are amazing and the staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful! I bought slices to take home and two full cheesecakes for an office party. They sliced everything and took great care of me in an emergency!!

Yum! Our family has different tastes in desserts and Kitty's Cheesecakes is a great compromise. They have lots of fun flavors like grape Faygo, Fruity Pebbles, or Superman. My husband picked a chocolate flavored one, my son picked one that resembled a strawberry Good Humor Bar, and I got a cherry topped slice. We sampled each others when we got home. Although we all loved the one we picked, everyone got something delicious. Staff were patient and courteous as we took our time picking our slices. The cakes looked tasty too but I'm glad we got the cheesecakes.

Excellent! We've only had them once. We had them make 4 different cheesecakes in the Hogwarts houses for our wedding. They weren't familiar with the whole Harry Potter thing, but the came through for us anyway. People were raving about their cheesecakes at the wedding and I think we sent a few customers their way.

Overall, Kitty's bakes a pretty decent cheesecake. Each cheesecake flavor has its own unique characteristic which generates the need to try them all! What makes Kitty's unique is how they mash together different cakes/flavors and layer their cheesecakes uniquely each with their own signature characteristic or flavor. My Ranking (so far): 1. Cherry crumble - It just crumbles so perfectly on the top it just is amazing. Cherries in cake weren't special, be really really nice if they used Luxardo cherries. I think it be a prize winning cheesecake if they did that. 2. Cinnabon - Center layer is the Cinnabon layer sandwiches by cheese cake. The Cinnabon layer is less density and is almost like whipped custard. 3. Strawberry/Cherry - Good cheesecake flavor but nothing special just fruit jam topped cheesecake. 4. Oreo/Superman - Oreo: Oreos are in the cheesecake like a full Oreo. Which ultimately is like a layer of Oreo cookie on ur cheesecake. Was meh... suppose was good to try but I rather eat an Oreo or a different cake. Superman: Was my first Kitty's cheesecake I ever had due to being intrigued by the vibrant colors. It tastes just like Superman ice cream flavor which is a tad on the sweet end for me, especially when you keep eating it. I wouldn't do a whole cake, unless it was a birthday party. It's like buying a pint of Superman or blue moon ice cream the first bites are great and then it just ends up sitting in your freezer for years. 5. Strawberry shortcake - What I thought would be my favorite ended up being my least. Was way too sweet, especially the red cheesecake parts. The artificial strawberry flavor tastes just like the shortcake ice cream bars. Great? Nope, ends up making the cheesecake taste cheap and artificial and ruins a good thing IMO. The only thing I really don't like about Kitty's is their crust along the perimeters of their cheesecakes. The crust part of the cheesecake is a lot thicker & has more of a bread or cake texture than I'm used to. Since I'm not a fan of bread nor cake, I am truly disappointed with how thick the crust is in relative to the whole slice. It's like over a third of the cheesecake is crust. I'm

I've been traveling back and forth on 8 mile for a while - why haven't i seen this place?! Luckily ad from Yelp suggested I might enjoy this location - thanks Yelp you're always looking out. Parking in front - but make sure to be careful opening your door. I walked in and there's a variety of cheese cakes available; of course I got BIG EYE when i was ordering until i found out price... $5 a slice. (That bought me back to reality) Lol! I ended up trying PURPLE RAIN and SUPERMAN - which were good and i appreciate the unique flavoring. Next time I go - i'll make sure i'm not hungry and split them when i get home and please note don't eat them right away because they are a little hard at first. I will be back to try something else. A few years ago we found Kitty's by accident. I had a cheesecake craving and we were in the area. Didn't even check the online ratings, we just went. And we were extremely happy with such an awesome find! And given the current cream cheese shortage, I'm so glad Kitty's has been consistently putting out at least a dozen different kinds of cheesecakes everyday at fair prices. Heck, I'd pay more if I had to, it's just that good! For Christmas, instead of getting the usual cake, I said I wanted to get one of everything from Kitty's. A s much as it pains me to share, the family's gonna be thrilled with all these flavors!

Do yourself a favor.... Get your cheesecake from kitty. You won't regret it. Superman, Oreo, brownie and purple rain are our favorites. And strawberry shortcake....

Cheesecakes are pretty good. A little too soft for my liking. It's like the cheesecake is melting? But this place is definitely my top favorite and the staff is super super welcoming and friendly! I personally don't like the superman cheesecake. It is very appealing but it tastes like bubble gum or something to me. It was worth the experience. Also I can't believe they changed their names! I guess Bc there's already a luckies cheesecake and they didn't want any misconceptions

Could not decide so I bought 2 pieces!! **UPDATE** I purchased the Turtle and Butter Pecan and I am torn as they are both sooo delicious!! I bought my daughter a Strawberry and she just messaged it is the best she has ever had.

The people that work here are super friendly! They give you an at home feel. I came just for the Superman cheesecake I kept hearing about. Awesome creation, kudos for that alone. The taste is indescribable, and fun, kind of one of those things you have to check off your must try list. Not my favorite in life, but I bet their other cheesecake flavors are amazing and I look forward to trying others. I also got the black walnut homemade ice cream. Not super impressed. Tasted like butter pecan which is cool, but not smooth or creamy, almost icecicily. And they had no cones no biggie tho. I'll be back! Just not in a hurry!

I had to try.. got the Superman, German chocolate, turtle, banana pudding, and a couple others I CAN'TREMEMBER.. OMG! It will be my go to for buying cheese cake! I will be back.. I did not even try their delicious looking cakes or ice cream yet! So many treats so little time! Service was great! The young lady that assisted us was very nice and was very helpful with the million questions we had for her! Great experience and well worth the drive. If you already live near by, count yourself lucky. If not make the drive! It WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

Kitty's offers a variety of cheesecake slices. They have a Cinnabon cheesecake, key lime, and even Superman. Slices of cheesecake are small in my opinion, but have a good flavor. They are also slightly chilled so you can't just buy one and eat it right away. I like the cake slices they have the most. At $5, they are huge slices with caramel cake and a banana cake that were moist. Buy a couple of slices of cheesecake and try all the flavors with friends or family as a cheesecake sampler. You won't be disappointed.

First stop today after seeing delicious photos of Kitty's cheesecakes for a while on FB. With out a doubt some of the creamiest cheesecakes I've come across. Got the cherry cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, yellow pound cake with chocolate frosting and a small container of homemade vanilla ice cream...all were delicious. The ice cream texture is more of an icy milk similar to a soft serve as opposed to a custard but still had great vanilla flavor. I would get everything again. The lady who waited on us was super friendly with a warm smile on her face... I will definitely be back!

The cheesecake here is fabulous. Much more so than that other local place which gets all the attention. The strawberry shortcake ranks at the top of all time. I also had a slice of coconut cake which was also very good. I'm definitely returning to try other flavors of cheesecake.

I just heard about Kitty's Cheesecake even though I live in Ferndale and have driven past it a million times without even noticing the sign. Once I saw a picture of the superman cheesecake, I knew that I had to have it. I ended up going the day of a friend's birthday and bought four individual pieces of cheesecake - the superman for me and oreo, turtle, and plain/original for her. There is a cooler full of different types and flavors ready for you to choose from, which is hard to do because they all look good. The woman working the counter (maybe the owner, I'm not sure?) was super nice and chatted with me a bit while she packed up the goods. I could barely wait the 20 minutes for the superman piece to thaw, but when I did, I was amazed at how delicious it was! It really does taste like superman ice cream and takes you back to feeling like a kid eating it from an ice cream cone on a summer day. The crunch on the top is just an added surprise that gives it a fun texture. A friend of mine stopped by and tried it even though he said he doesn't like cheesecake, and he still said that it was delicious and that I should eat the last bite before he did. My friend texted me the next day to say she felt like a golden girl eating her pieces and that she thought they were all good but the plain was her favorite. If you're in the area, check it out and choose from the many different flavors available daily!

Cheesecake: 1) superman - I know this is their most popular cheesecake, but its too sweet and doesn't taste natural. 3/5 2) strawberry shortcake - this was incredible. A ton of cheesecake to choose from but not every kind on the menu is always available. It wasn't as good to me as I hoped. I ordered 4 different slices and they were all a bit dry, like it was leftovers from a few days ago. The lady who helped me seemed like she wasn't having a good day. I would probably go back and try some different flavors in hopes for a better outcome.

My son wanted a cheesecake last minute for his birthday. Called kitty and she had a gorgeous turtle cheesecake ready for my after work....I may have had to buy a single slice of cherry cheesecake for the ride home. Did I mention I hate plastic ware! Anyway, both cheesecakes had such a rich, velvety texture and great taste! When I opened the turtle cheesecake at the party everyone was amazed at how amazing it looked! They were even happier when the tasted it! This cute lady must be getting her space for a song because as everyone mentions: not the best store location. But the product is absolutely worth it! Wish we were closer, I'd be eating LOTS more cheesecake

I flew into town last minute for my bf's birthday and was left with two hours to find a place with good cheesecake who was willing to add a decoration. One shop said no, one had terrible quality reviews, another offered to put a plastic disc on it. Kitty's not only agreed to figure something out, but made it happen in 30min and for a good price. Simple, delicious, he loved it.

The caramel cake is unbelievable. That was my favorite thing my Aunt made growing up and this takes me right back to those days. The variety of flavors of cheesecake is almost too much to handle (in a good way) I ordered 6 different slices (almost 1 of each flavor) took them to a party and they were a huge hit. Not a single bite leftover! If you are in the area, you have to try it!!!
