Kizana - Review - Battersea - London - The Infatuation

"Whether Kizana is half full or, more likely you’re the only person inside this quiet spot on Battersea Park Road, you will be served some excellent food. Daily specials like spicy tuna crispy rice are on par with the best Japanese restaurants in London, and truffle tuna hosomaki rolls are snatched up quicker than you can say nori. It’s not the kind of sceney place where anyone will care about your Loro Piana loafers. In fact, we’ve rocked up in our Uniqlo leggings, straight from the gym, and felt right at home." - Rianne Shlebak

I had a really enjoyable meal at Kizana Japanese Restaurant. I started with the Shiitake Mushroom Salad, which was full of flavor and a great way to begin the meal. For my mains, I ordered the Tuna Ponzu and the Kizana Sushi. Both dishes were fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The tuna had a nice citrusy kick, and the Kizana Sushi was not only artfully presented but also packed with flavour and freshness. A true showcase of quality ingredients and attention to detail. What I loved just as much as the food was the atmosphere. The restaurant has a calm, relaxing vibe, and the art on the walls really amazed me it added something special to the whole experience. The service was friendly and smooth. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes on the menu. Highly recommend!

Food is amazing. Service is good. Feels like a family owned business. Atmosphere is just ok, but I wouldn’t come here for a special day. The rolls were really good, and I loved the truffle beef and the black cod. We will come back to try more things from their menu.

This place is such a hidden gem! Food was amazing, wouldn’t have changed anything we ordered. The spicy tuna special with crispy rice was phenomenal, you can’t come here without getting it. Presentation was great as was service and atmosphere, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience!

My wife and I visited this restaurant on Valentine’s Day, and we truly wanted to love it after reading the reviews—fortunately, it did not disappoint! Despite being extremely busy, the team made our evening fantastic. The host/waiter was an absolute star—genuinely friendly, attentive, and gave a brilliant recommendation on the sake, which I enjoyed so much that I’ve now bought a bottle to have at home! The menu had excellent vegetarian options for my wife, and she absolutely loved the truffle tofu, spicy edamame, and vegetable gyoza. I had the prawn tempura and the beef truffle—both were superb, but the beef truffle was next-level delicious. We’ll definitely be returning to try their sushi next time. The food, service, and atmosphere were all spot on. Highly recommend!

Picture this: Battersea park, 20 degrees (feels like 23 under the sun), lezgink dances, hummus chips, spit poetry. How gorgeous it is to discover you still have a world to make before sunset. You could have manta rays but you settled for beef truffle and black cod. When I think of things I love dearly - but not too much so the night steals from me only what I can afford to lose - this gorgeous homey Japanese restaurant comes to mind. Recommendations: Japanese Highball, Crispy Tuna, Black Cod, Beef Truffle, and all the sushi. Don’t sleep on the salad either. Thank you, Kizana, for the beetroot sushi reminding me how the generous the death of trees forms the Red Dragons of the earth.

Super delicious. Flavours were very well balanced and service was great. Just a small unassuming restaurant but the food is up there with the top restaurants in London.
