The Best Ramen Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"This ramen chain, spawned from a chain in Japan known as Kukai, opened its first shop in Bellevue in 2012 and continues to spread throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Kizuki offers a variety of ramen types. The garlic tonkotsu shoyu is good, and even better is the yuzu shio with a light broth that achieves a nice balance of salt and Japanese citrus flavor. The thin-sliced chashu is grilled, imparting a smoky flavor. There are also tsukemen options for those who prefer to go soupless and instead dip their noodles into a cup of rich broth." - Jay Friedman

Google
Tried veg spring rolls and it's tasty. In delivery apps please mark veg and non veg clearly to quickly order the food . For items like momos and spring please clearly mention ingredients used. Like if it contains mushrooms or not in delivery apps. This helps us make decisions faster. Apart from no concerns about taste of the food. It's really great

Went in for solo lunch date on a Sunday. They have a bunch of different soups to pick from which I love because sometimes the options are limited and repetitive. Cesar was my server, he was polite, attentive and not at all pushy which I appreciated because I wanted to be alone. Soup came out quickly and hot, I liked the extra chili on the side. Egg was runny/jammy and the noodles were delish.

Google
A fantastic Thai restaurant in Seattle for vegetarian food (no eggs, no meat). The atsuage is a must-try appetizer—the tofu is incredibly soft and unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere. I highly recommend it! The vegetable ramen with kale noodles is another standout dish, packed with flavor and perfect for anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian option. Great spot for quick bites or a full dining experience.

I always wanted to try the Kizuki branch of ramen shop and it’s is pretty good! Although the seating was unclear and disorganized, the waiter at the front did try to seat us once she noticed us waiting along with other people. We sat at the bar and the ambience was nice and calm. I came with someone, and we ordered the chicken ramen and miso ramen—both had very nicely seasoned broths and noodle textures. The broths did have a nice smooth and creamy texture and rich taste for both ramens. Although, I would say that the pork for a miso ramen is rather pathetic with it being a thin, one sheet of pork. I understand the different styles and cuts of pork, but one piece only? The service was fast enough and the food came out quickly. Overall, it was enjoyable if you want a casual quick bite. I would go here again!

Google
Broth is good but not that much better than your standard authentic Ramen shop. My noodles were slightly too hard and the pork was ridiculously lean and difficult to chew. Somehow the appetizers were surprisingly good, probably some of the better Takoyaki and Karaage I've had from a Ramen joint. Service was subpar, our waitress checked on us once and then pretty much disappeared. Several minutes after we finished our meal we had to get up and find her to get our bill.

Google
This location is smaller than most kizuki, but it feels more intimate like other traditional ramen places. Food here is exactly what I expected from kizuki, and our server was so sweet and helpful. Service was a little slower than I'm used to but it was 6pm on a Friday and their drink machine was malfunctioning. Overall? Solid kizuki and good vibes. Got the chicken rich and the lavender bees knees. Weirdly amazing combo.

Google
Unfortunately didn’t try their ramen as I was not as hungry. Gave alternative dishes a go. It was good and filling.

Google
Went at 9 pm on a Sunday and it was still crowded which I think speaks to the quality of the food served here. I had their Tonkotsu ramen with chicken chashu and loved the broth. This place would have definitely been my go to place if I were a local! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good ramen and ambience.

Yelp
Wanted some ramen while I was in Seattle. Reddit said to go here and I did. Now first off: The food is delicious. The all star ramen was really flavorful. The karaage was pretty standard but it was piping hot. Food was great. The reason for the low score is the service. Absolutely bad experience. It's a busy place so I expected it to be busy as staff did their best. But that doesn't excuse the lack of care. Checking in was fine. Then we waited. There were 2 groups that were called and they kept saying their party wasn't there yet. So the server/host would skip to the next one in line. Seat them. When a seat is available. They would ask those 2 groups again if they weren't ready. They weren't ready for 20+ minutes! At that point. Just move them to the end of the line. This also caused problems because it was becoming out of order. People got skipped. We eventually got sat down. And the server leaves. Doesn't bring us water. I had to ask twice for water. Still didn't get it. I waived down the bartender and he got us water. - haven't came back for our orders either. Someone else gets sat next to us and they got their orders taken before us. The same problem with getting the check. Server never came back after we got our food. So I had to flag down a staff. They said to wait for our specific server they will get them. Time goes by and nothing. I wave to the bartender who says he'll get the server. Finally the server comes. There is being busy. There is being slow. And then there is just plain bad service.

Yelp
The chicken karaage and takoyaki are always solid choices, and the garlic tonkotsu ramen has a nice, flavorful broth. However, the chashu quality has noticeably declined over the last few visits, which takes away from an otherwise good dish. Although maybe more importantly, dinner service on this visit (3/12/25) was frustratingly slow and inattentive. My party was overlooked multiple times and there was a clear lack of urgency or follow-through by the wait staff (though the busser was great). It took repeated efforts to get basic service, and by the end, the experience felt more like an afterthought than hospitality. Kizuki still has good food, but the declining meat quality and today's poor service made this visit a let-down and has me hesitant on returning.

Yelp
Rich savory ramen in an excellent central Seattle location - I had a great lunch experience! Staff are efficient and the vibes are fun. I had their Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and can highly recommend. I found this spot while wandering around the Capitol Hill area doing some sightseeing. The entrance is a tad inconspicuous so be sure to keep an eye out. The decor is vibrant, chic Japanese style and very inviting. They have bar style seating next to their open concept kitchen as well as intimate tables. They have quite a wide variety of ramen styles - including Tan Tan. I went with their Garlic Tonkotsu as it's their most popular and they only have limited quantity daily. It comes with bamboo, green onions, a boiled egg, and some chashu - I opted to add extra pork chashu bc the server said it only includes one piece. When my ramen arrived it had 3 pieces. Next time I would skip the extra chashu or try the Tan Tan bc their chashu is extremely tough and chewy and I just couldn't eat it. That was my only complaint. Everything else was excellent - the broth is complex and delicious- packed full of garlicky yumminess! Their ramen noodles had a flawless texture and were cooked perfectly. I added jalapeno as well for an extra kick and it was lovely. Prices are pretty standard for nowadays - especially for being in the core of Seattle. My server was attentive and efficient. I visited at peak lunch time and got seated immediately. All in all this was a great lunch choice. There's another ramen spot about a block down and the line was out the door and down the block lol - not sure why but I'd say this is a great option and you can avoid the crazy lines.

Yelp
A solid bowl of ramen in CapHill! I've heard good things about this chain and glad they lived up to the hype! Got the spicy ramen, karaage, and the yuzu mango green tea. The karaage was really juicy and flavorful. The ramen broth was rich. I really enjoyed all the garlic that was added to the broth! They give a lot of noodles so I wasn't able to finish but glad I had leftovers. The yuzu mango drink was good but wish it had more yuzu flavor. Came on a Friday night around 7:15pm. When you get here, you have to put your name on a tablet. They had empty bar seats but weren't sitting people at them. Had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get seated but once we sat down and ordered, our food came within 10 minutes. Would come here again for ramen!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this restaurant while I was in Seattle for work and had a fixing for ramen. It was a rainy day so it was the perfect weather for something soupy. We were seated pretty quickly and the servers were quick to help us. I ordered a sweet cocktail, takoyaki, and their tonkatsu ramen. The portions are quite large and super flavorful. The noodles had a great texture and the toppings/protein were delicious. I tried my friend's karaage as well and it was really good. Overall, the food here was really good and I highly recommend this spot to someone looking for a new ramen spot.

Yelp
Food - Consistently high quality food & rich ramen every time I've gone. Decently large offering of ramen and appetizers. Can modify your ramen or addon to your order. The ramen here is served with thick noodles. The softboiled eggs are very good and deserve a special mention. Service - Fast service and friendly servers. No complaints at all, got us in and got our food to us quickly. Ambiance - Wall decor is Japanese aesthetic with shoji wall inspiration. Well lit and is great for casual friend dates. Sometimes they have collaborations - current one at time of writing is an Attack on Titan collaboration.

Yelp
Came by for some late dinner around 9pm. We were quickly seated by the servers at a large table for 8. We all ordered a bowl of ramen and some drinks. The noodles were good just that the seaweed in some of them were a bit soggy. Other than that service was great and we had a great time.

Yelp
One of my tops picks for recommending to people looking for a good place to eat. Very clean, good atmosphere, offers bar seating, quick order outputs, and my friends always tell me thank you for recommending the place!

Yelp
This place is a solid four star. Ramen is tasty! Gyoza are good. They have nice Japanese whiskey I would. Service is fine depending on what restaurant you're going to.

Yelp
My cousins spoke highly of this spot so we tried it and now here I am speaking highly of it too!! The interior was gorgeous, decorated beautifully with comfortable seating. The staff were amazing, quick service. The ramen broth tasted rich and the noodles fresh along with the toppings. I loved how the menu included pictures and noted that all the toppings in the picture came with the ramen. They also had cocktails, assorted ice teas and toppings, and other dishes with rice. I ordered the Miso Ramen and added woodear mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. I'm highly impressed by this place, and it's arguably better than the spots back home in California!
google avatar

Yelp
Loved their Yuzu shio ramen! Very refreshing and delicious! My husband and I came here on a Wednesday night around 7pm and we were able to get seated. The interior of this restaurant is really nice! The ramen is priced pretty average for the city. I got the Yuzu Shio ramen and my husband got the Shoyu ramen, we both really appreciated how flavorful the broth was without being overly heavy or salty. The egg was made to perfection and the pork was tender and not too fatty like other spots! I also really liked that there were veggies in the ramen, it felt more balanced. Noodles were really good as well! Overall, my husband and I really liked this ramen spot and will be back again soon!

Yelp
Any ask for more. Great food, great service, great environment. The pork in the Tonkotsu was cooked differently from most other ramen houses: it was way better. It looked like it came off of a grill. Loved the boiled tea egg as well; it was perfectly cooked with a runny yolk and great Flavor. Really good broth. Tea is complimentary and the very kind server kept it flowing. When in Seattle, this is a great choice for ramen. The setting is really nice. Japanese flair, clean, takes you out of the street environment surrounding it.

Yelp
I ordered the Chicken Rich Ramen when I went here recently. I was glad that this place had several chicken ramen options as many ramen places I've been to only have one. The broth was hearty but the chicken itself was quite cold. The service was a bit slow but our waiter was very nice. The seating was very comfortable.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
If you like spicy, get the Gekikara ramen! I love spicy foods and have a high tolerance, so I loved this ramen. My friends tried sips of the soup, and started coughing from how spicy it was, so be cautious! Other than that ramen, it's a standard ramen spot. We also got the takoyaki which was decent. We came in on a Sunday evening and honestly thought it was closed at first because the wall decor looks like upside down chair legs (as if they were closed and cleaning up) lol.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service, nice atmosphere, tasty food. Seating is first come first served but they do offer take out. We were lucky they accommodated 6 of us on a Saturday evening. There was something on the menu for everyone. Prices are reasonable!!!

Yelp
My hubs and I found out about this place when we saw their gift cards at Costco. We love Japanese food so we bought the $100 gift card for $80. So glad we did! We went here two weekends in a row and both times, the food was delicious!! The agedashi tofu is * chef's kiss*. So good! Probably my favorite agedashi tofu around. It is lightly battered and fried tofu served in a flavorful ginger and soy dashi broth with bonito flakes and green onion. Loved the karaage chicken don. It's perfectly seasoned and fried chicken on a green salad and rice. Comes with a tasty sesame dressing that we got on the side. We liked the karaage chicken curry with rice but the curry was advertised as sweet and mild and it was actually spicy (as in hot!!). Still delicious but definitely NOT mild. We also enjoyed the house salad that comes with lightly dressed lettuce, soft tofu, shredded chicken, toasted seaweed, and the delicious sesame dressing again. Lastly we had the onigiri (rice balls) which were fun to look at and eat but were kinda pricey for what you get. This is the only dish we tried that we wouldn't order again. The service was also friendly and on point. Nice waiters. We will definitely come back again!

Yelp
Went here at around 5:40 on a Wednesday afternoon, the place was pretty empty and we were seated instantly. It took about 15 minutes and noticing that someone who was seated after us already got their meal for us to get the attention of a server so that we could order, he came back quickly to give us water and a tea we had ordered. Half an hour later we hadn't received our food and we had to wave down a server to check, about 10 minutes later we were served our food and told that the server had forgotten to actually submit our food. They did comp 50% of our food as an apology which I did really appreciate. The food was fine, I thought my yuzu ramen wasn't very flavorful. My friends shoyu was better I felt but I just didn't find anything to be very good. I liked the egg though. Overall I just found the service to be bad, even without the error on the submitting order. My friend and I both found it really hard to catch their attention to ask and check on our food and didn't want to be rude and found it surprising how they didn't check on us at all or even give us water until 15 minutes in. The place is at a nice spot in cap hill and well decorated but I wouldn't come back again for the food or the service.

Yelp
We were at the Museum of Air, my son demanded ramen. This place was highly scored on yelp, so we drove over. The place is charming, well decorated, with nice view of the fall colored trees. The staff was very attentive, and the ramen came fast. Of course I ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen. The pork was nicely seasoned and lightly grilled, a nice touch. The egg was really well marinated with a nice a creamy center. The broth was so flavorful! Very satisfied !
google avatar

Roselyn D.

Yelp
My favorite ramen place! I love the yuzu ramen with less sodium. The last time I was in town, I came 2-3 times in the same trip and I always get the same thing- yuzu ramen. It's super light and not what you would expect from ramen, and I had to come back! The egg is also perfectly cooked as well. I'll be back for more!
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Solid ramen spot! I loved how many options they had for both ramen orders and toppings. I got the popular garlic tonkotsu ramen. The egg was delicious and perfectly boiled. I thought the broth was a bit salty so I'd definitely ask for less sodium if you're more sensitive to salt levels. Otherwise the ramen was really yummy, the garlic flavor was great, and I was happily full after! Staff was very helpful and attentive as well, and there was no wait when I went on a Wednesday night.
google avatar

Yusuke S.

Yelp
Foods were okay. Yuzu ramen was great if you are looking for this kind. Tonkotsu ramen (pork broth one) was okay. Nothing special. Kinda pricy for what they offer. Service was normal. One thing that we like was fast serving - once you ordered it, ramen came pretty quick. Although it was a dinner time, there was no wait and that was good too. We were able to have a conversation without screaming. You can stay unlike other ramen places. So, If you want to have a ramen and have a chat with your friends, I think it's a good place to go!

Lauren A.

Yelp
Had a fantastic time at Kizuki with my friend before they left town. Kim was very nice and helpful and got us seated quickly at the bar. And she made sure we had everything we needed!! I really appreciate how accommodating she was given how busy the restaurant was tonight. Thank you, Kim!!
google avatar

Queenie H.

Yelp
Thought this was more of a fast casual ramen place. The decor was nice and modern and the restaurant was pretty clean. Parking can be a bit tough to find and we ended up parking in a lot for $20.. Anyways, service was quick as we were on our way to the airport so our server made sure to expedite our orders. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were nice. Included was a full soft boiled egg which was generous as many places only give you half. My only gripe was the pork slice which ended up being stringy and kind of tough to eat. Should have added the chasu but didn't wanna spend an additional $4 on my already $16 bowl of ramen. Not bad.
google avatar

Mark Y.

Yelp
This place consistently serves up a decent bowl of ramen and used to be pretty exclusive but now like that they've got multiple locations around the greater Seattle area. Liked this location because they're open much later than most. The service was good and they stopped by at times to refill our water but my one drawback as we got there near closing time was a few workers were mopping while we ate. The ramen noodles could have been a bit more al dente and seemed to have been slightly overcooked but overall the bowl were piping hot and filled with extra goodies. The vibes of this location were alright and matched up with other Kizuki's.

Alex A.

Yelp
Ive had plenty of ramen, the best I've ever had was in japan called Karashibimisoramen Kikanbo, Kanda but the best so far in the US is definitely here. Kizuki is phenomenal in flavor, I got the limited curry ramen it was delicious noodles cooked to perfection the karaage complemented the ramen perfectly. The service was great very polite and attentive. If you're in the area please check them out.

Wade N.

Yelp
ramen spot in Seattle right next to Starbucks reserve. Not gonna lie though....not one Japanese person behind the food counter. The ramen was mid. People speaking Spanish very loudly while not taking great care to present the ramen. Another dude spit in a garbage can on his way to the back kitchen. Just not very Japanese like. Need to take more care in smoking the chashu or pork belly.... It's just not good. Not fresh and not tender at all
google avatar

Jasmine N.

Yelp
great accommodating service in cap hill! the ramen was super flavorful and the broth was garlicky and rich. the soft boiled egg was amazing
google avatar

Sheila L.

Yelp
This was an amazing ramen meal! We are still working our way through the ramen places of Capitol Hill. We walked in and out our name on the list using the machine in the corner. We didn't have a long wait before we were seated at the bar. We all ordered the garlic Tonkstsu ramen. It was amazing! The noodles and the meat were perfect and the broth was amazing! That garlic broth is so good! The ambience of this place is neat, they have some neat combos with Japanese comics and ramen. Overall this was a great ramen experience & we would def eat here again!
google avatar

Aly F.

Yelp
service was quick & the food was delicious!! fairly priced as well- i think you get a lot for your money with the chicken shoyu ramen
google avatar

Yelp
Order tan tan chicken spicy, garlic ramen, chicken karaage for the kids Really good!

Yelp
Delicious food and good service my favorite restaurant and server and music!! Prices excellent

Yelp
First time trying this place for take out and it was good. I ordered the Large Pork Chashu Don and it was a very large and generous portion but I probably wouldn't order it again. I also got the chicken karaage and it was delicious! Very crispy but also juicy. One of the better karaages I've had for sure.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Solid place to get ramen! The wait wasn't too bad, despite being extra busy due to the anime convention the last weekend of March. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and great at checking up on us. The food was just okay, which is why I deducted one star, at least for the vegetarian ramen. I was surprised that their fancy fruity and boba drinks were served in the same water cups we were given! That was a bit of a turn-off, I must confess, lol. Overall, not bad to satisfy any ramen cravings, but I have definitely had better. My sister said the same about her meat ramen--good but not out of this world amazing. I suggest you still stop by and try it yourself!
google avatar

Ishita K.

Yelp
This is a decent spot for ramen--definitely not the best, but it has its perks. They offer great spice customizations, which is a nice touch. The real star? The fried lotus root. It's spicy, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. Worth a visit just for that!

Chelsea T.

Yelp
Been waiting for 22 mins and not a single person has greeted me, I walked in at 8:55pm I'm a party of 1 literally just wanted a bowl of ramen.. I ended up doing the take out option.. they finally just came up to me after seeing me take a picture for this review. They close at 10pm on Fridays which is the day I'm posting this. I've lost my appetite for food seeing as it's been filled with annoyance.
google avatar

Terry K.

Yelp
Ate here with a friend. It's only street parking from what I could tell...and finding a spot can be challenging in this part of town. This place had nice and welcoming environment. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. I tried the Chicken Tan Tan. It was good and the portion size definitely filled me up. My friend tried one of the udon dishes but I don't recall which one. She's been here before. Apparently, this is a local chain restaurant with several locations to choose from. Prices are on par with the changing times. No objections to eating here again or at any of the other locations.
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
Service is just slow to a crawl. Is there only one server during lunch rush? Sat almost 10 min and was not offered water or approached. Decided to leave and tho to the Alderwood location. Much friendlier and much faster service. If there was a second server, they must have been hiding somewhere. This was the worst time-to-service I've ever had at this location. I prefer north gate or Alderwood.
google avatar

Ashika G.

Yelp
This place is a great bang for your buck! The classic ramen options are ones you can't ever go wrong with! The vibe is mostly the reason that I give this a 4. The servers are quite slow to get folks seated despite several tables being available at this location. The food itself was good, if I recall I had tried a good black garlic type broth which was a classic ramen staple! Now, this is a good quick ramen stop if you're in the mood for a hot broth on a chilly day, but I've had better ramen in the city. I will say this place has good options for other options outside of Ramen for those who may not be as keen on it!
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
For our dinner the first night we arrived, we saw the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. Fast seating and friendly welcoming. They gave us waters right when we sat down and the food arrived pretty fast after that. We ordered a low sodium tonkatsu ramen with pork belly and a chicken karaage plate with rice. The flavors were delicious and perfect for a rainy day type of weather. The ambiance was inviting and really cool decor. I enjoyed it very much and will love to come back again!
google avatar

Annabella V.

Yelp
Everything about our experience was really nice! The servers were really friendly and respectful, and ask really fast with bringing us our food once we had ordered. The food itself was really good, and the portions were quite large. I had also gotten the mango iced tea, and it wasn't overly sweet which was nice. The restaurant itself was quite cozy, and it was really nice for a rainy afternoon.
google avatar

Amy L.

Yelp
The service is quick and fast, the restaurant interior is traditional and cool, but alas the ramen leaves much to be desired. I got the garlic ramen noodles with mushrooms and pork belly, I'm really disappointed. It looks awesome and the presentation is nice. The noodles in the other hand are super firm and aren't fresh. The pork belly meat to tough and hard to chew. The broth is basic and salty. There are also several tiny flies inside the restaurant and it's annoying to brush them away from the food.

Yelp
Incident that happened 02/27/2023. We were in town for Vocation from a warm place like California and we wanted something warm in Seattls nice cold weather , took 35 minutes to bring our 2 Ramen orders in an empty restaurant at 2pm (not a big deal we can wait). An hour after leaving the restaurant to continue exploring the beautiful city of Seattle we felt heavy and my stomach start hurting after on the other hand my wife start feeling dizzy and start vomiting , we spend the rest of the day in our rooms .

Yelp
High quality ramen, tsukemen and appetizers in a nice setting. They accommodated our large group of 10 people (4 of them being kids) on a holiday. Food was on point and the kids menu is very well priced. The waiter seemed understaffed so we weren't offered any water but other than that the meal was enjoyable and the hostess was quite friendly/helpful. Hoping to try it again once they expand to the SF Bay Area.

Karla A.

Yelp
Service 10/10 Food 10/10 ! Perfect pick for soup weather in Seattle, something for everyone (even picky eaters). Fellow spice lovers: spicy hits the spot ! Beers, app & ramen for two less than 75. Win/ win
google avatar

Andrew S.

Yelp
Kizuki Ramen is for me, the holy land for excellent noodles in the greater Seattle area hands-down. The service is always friendly and I am well greeted. Sometimes there's a long wait but that just reinforces how other people see the value in the quality of food and I've been here so many times I've never had a bad dish.
google avatar

Eric Z.

Yelp
The overall atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant itself has ample seating and the inside is very nice and elegant. The service is very nice as the waiters we're constantly checking in on us to see how we were doing. Food: The food was came very quick and was very well plated however the veggie broth was very salty and I didn't get to taste much of the broth flavor since it was mostly salty. My friend who got a different broth voiced the same opinion. Other than the broth I was pretty pleased with the amount of toppings and the noodles were perfectly cooked.

Deva M.

Yelp
I'm a vegan ramen enthusiast and this is the first time I've ever come across house made shirataki noodles! I always order whatever fresh made noodles are available and these guys make 4 types of different noodles. Excellent all the way around. Very high quality experience.

Yelp
Excellent food selections, especially the chicken Karaage and squid tentacles! Wonderful garlic flavor in the Tan Tan.
