The tsukemen dipping sauce had a rich, tangy flavor with bits of bonito and green onions. The could have been vinegar but could be fermented. It was pleasant and cut through the richness. The flat noodle was chewy and cooked well. I recommend it hot. The menu recommended drinking the leftover sauce with the free unsalted broth which was nice. The chicken shio was good but nothing extraordinary. May be a bit too chickeney?!? The noodle didn’t have the usual chewy texture. Overall good value for money.

If you’re visiting the Portland Japanese Garden and want to extend your cultural immersion, this is a robust 17 minute walk. The food was ok and definitely hit the spot but not knock your socks off. I might be biased because the best ramen I’ve ever had was from my grandfather who made home made stock and noodles. Vegans/vegetarians - The menu is clearly marked, I ordered the vegetable ramen. Shiitake/kelp/miso stock, kale noodles, and vegan pork belly…which tasted slightly smoky like bacon.

Google
Great atmosphere and good service. But as a ramen chain store, I can’t agree on the quality of the food. Chasu was grilled but I can still taste the meatiness. Broth was probably from concentrate paste. And the noodle was not fully cooked. Not recommended overall.

Google
The food came out pretty quickly, and I went during a busy hour AND when it was slower. I loved their Yuzu ramen, but this time, I had their tonkatsu tsukemen, and it didn't quite meet my standards. However, one good thing that gets me coming back is how the portion sizes are filling and perfect! UNFORTUNATELY, the shrimp shumai was around 8 dollars for THREE pieces. That was just a little wild to me. Overall, it was a good experience! Their servers are very friendly as well.

Google
Wow I felt like I was back in Japan. Get the $9 matcha green tea blend it’s delicious and they will give it to you in a cute to go cup! The ramen is perfect !

Google
I have had ramen from this location many times before, but today was the worst experience. The broth was super salty and totally different from the last visits. The staff gave me the extra broth to fill for less salty but it didn't help much. The staff was nice, but sadly decided to not coming back. I tried Kizuki ramen from the downtown food court location and it was salty as well.

Google
This place is amazing! The lighting makes the perfect cozy setting for a warm bowl of ramen. Definitely recommend the tokoyaki balls. Wish I could give ten stars :)

Google
It was a great find with cozy and traditional interiors. We ordered Pork Chashu don, shrimp cutlet, potato croquette and vegetable dumplings. Will definitely Ramen next time that’s highly rated here. Everything was delicious and clean. The chef and rest of the staff were extremely friendly. The restrooms were clean too. It is definitely a place worth trying out if visiting Portland

Yelp
I got the shoyu ramen. The broth is clear and not too salty. The staff is also very nice. Cozy place

Yelp
Great ramen and taste, karate and assorted tempura, can't go wrong but still love it. Got the popular ramen less sodium option and taste is great.

Yelp
Armando (our waiter) wasn't kidding when he said gyudon was the most flavorful - I'm leaving placing Kizuki at the TOP of my list for Ramen spots!! The karaage, gyoza, and the tempura were thee perfect apps. I know I'll stop here ah-gain when I'm in Portland.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Clean, Bright and nice atmosphere. No TV's. Some bar seating, some bar seating along the windows as well. Other than that tables. Food: I got the Shoyu Ramen. The broth and toppings were nicely prepared. The noodles were a bit doughy. Perhaps this was an abnormality, but that was what I got when I came. Price: Standard price for ramen. The Shoyu and Shio are a little cheaper ($13.50 for a bowl) Service: Adequate Parking: Free parking lot for strip mall

Yelp
This was my first time going to this uptown location. Staff: Very friendly and checked on us numerous times and helped us divide the check with ease and was very nice. Environment: A little smaller than the other Kizuki ramen place I've been to but it was well decorated and kpop music in the background (hehe). Food: 1. Karaage for $9. I wish they would give us one more piece of chicken because for the price I pay...I felt like 1 more would be more satisfying haha. Anyways, the chicken karaage were larger pieces so it was really juicy and the batter was light but still crispy. It was piping hot so they def. made it fresh. The lemon and the spicy mayo were good too if you want to change up the flavors just a tad bit. 2. I ordered the low sodium shoyu ramen. I think it was much better, it wasn't as salty and this bowl was not as oily either. For $12.60, you get an egg, bamboo shoots, choi sum, and a few slices of meat. I thought it was very reasonable. The meat was on the dryer side but overall, everything was good. The soup was hot and I really liked the noodle textures, too.

Yelp
Convenient Ramen spot in NW. easy Parking as it's in that nw 23rd shopping center. Food was fast and good. Ten Don was decent - Tons and tons of tempura and piping hot. Shoyu garlic tonkotsu ramen was good

Yelp
This is their second location in the Portland area so I was interested to see the differences between this spot and their Beaverton spot. I really like the interior, it's bright and elevated. I was a bit surprised to see it was fairly empty when I came on a Friday night. I ordered the Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki, and the Spicy Chicken Tan Tan. All of the items were okay. The karaage was juicy but perhaps the pieces were a bit too large, the ratio of crispy outer layer to the inside was off. It was my first time trying the Spicy Chicken Tan Tan so I didn't know what to expect. The sauce flavor was overpowering and it was heavily seasoned with black pepper. Not sure I would get it again. I'd probably stick to the ramen. Overall the service was good, our server was attentive to us and very prompt when we needed something.

Yelp
Came by today for lunch and couldn't recommend more. I had the Hakata ramen and substituted for the yam noodles (gluten free). I've had noodle substitutes at other ramen restaurants that ruined the dish, but these ones were DELICIOUS. While I could go on and on about the food, I really want to highlight the service. Every person who helped us was so kind. Christian was our main server and went above and beyond! He even gave me 2 spicy miso packets to take home because I loved it so much. I absolutely recommend! We will be back!

Yelp
Went to this location for the first time last night for a date night. The space was nice. I wouldn't say it's as big as the location in Beaverton but it is still very spacious & bigger than the other downtown location that is in a food hall. We went around 7pm on a Saturday night & didn't have to wait to be seated. I really like that this location has a parking lot. Service was great, friendly staff that was quick to give us anything we asked for. Ordered our usuals, tonkotsu ramen and garlic tonkotsu ramen and they tasted exactly like the other locations, delicious & consistent! The egg in this specific bowl was a chefs kiss! The yolk was phenomenal. Think this is my new go to location, I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
The location is convenient with a parking lot & easy to find storefront. The food is quality & tasty, and is well-priced. The interior of the restaurant is brightly lit with ample seating. The staff are friendly & accommodating. We had the Takoyaki, green tea, Yuzu Shio and Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen low sodium. The Takoyaki was a bit too breaded for my liking.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Loved this ramen. Service was a little slow and had some unhappy patrons. We were not one of them! It was delish and a cute spot!

Yelp
This is my second time at this location and 3rd time at a Kizuki Ramen. I normally get their yuzu shio but was recommended the chicken broth and I'm glad I had it. It was super creamy. I had the low sodium and it was perfect. The service was professional and friendly. They were quick and helpful. The atmosphere is quiet. Perfect for a date night or a small group gathering or even just by yourself. They have ramen bar seating. But if you are here just for good ramen, there is nowhere else to beat.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Kizuki from their various locations. I am pleased to see this location open up as it is now so much more convenient for I ordered the Japanese curry w/ karaage, as it's one of my favorite comfort food. It came out to me pretty quickly. The curry was creamy, and the fried chicken was fried to my liking. The rice steamed perfectly. I am going to assume their ramen is just as good as all their other locations, this place deserves a 5 stars at this time.

Yelp
So happy about this new location that just opened up! We came in on a Monday around 11:15am and we were greeted and seated right away. Our server Erwin was very helpful and friendly and provided excellent service. He made sure to answer all our questions and checked in with us frequently. We got takoyaki for our appetizer and tsukemen and tonkotsu ramen as our main entrees. We loved the broth, both are rich in flavor! The interior of the restaurant is presented very elegantly with comfortable seating. They have lots of fun drinks and so excited to try next time!

Yelp
I've been to a couple of Kizuki locations in Washington state but I think this Oregon location is the best Kizuki experience thus far. I have fairly high expectations when it comes to my ramen, and overall Kizuki has been low on my radar based on past experiences being sub-par. This location was a well welcomed surprise. The quality of noodle, broth, AND chashu was way more than I expected and should I find myself in Portland again, I wouldn't hesitate to come back here. But only this location.
google avatar

Holly B.

Yelp
I'm upset because this is literally the best ramen I've had in my entire life. I'll have to come here till I've tried every flavor. It's that good. Boxer, get outta portland. Can these guys please open another location in the spot that just opened up in multnomah village??
google avatar

Valerie D.

Yelp
Definitely cures the ramen craving! The inside is super cute and well decorated. We got there around 12 and were seated immediately for 2. It started picking up and getting busier 30min later. The service was quick and the staff is super nice! The menu includes pictures of the different ramen which is very helpful. The chicken kaarage is their most popular appetizer and it was tasty! Recommend if you're in the area looking for something warm to enjoy
google avatar

Meghan Z.

Yelp
The vender itself is inside a food hall which I thought was pretty neat. There's a lot of seating and overall had a good vibe. The ramen was good and the pork gyoza was even better. The staff was friendly and food came out fairly quickly.
google avatar

Roger Q.

Yelp
The Ramen is pretty average. The chicken karaage and the Gyudon were too. Overall i'd say the food is fair. The service was excellent and the ambiance matched.

Yelp
Kizuki Ramen and Izakaya was great. I'm always down to try a new ramen restaurant and I was excited to see several weeks earlier that restaurant was opening. The service was friendly and the interior of the restaurant was nice. The restaurant has its own parking lot which it shares with several other businesses. There was lots of ramen to choose from, several rice bowls, and some izakaya options. I got spicy miso ramen which is a go to at most ramen restaurants for me. The spicy miso broth was flavorful, the toppings were great, the noodles were delicious but there wasn't enough spicy paste. There was too much corn. I also had a lychee green iced tea which was refreshing and good. Overall, I had a great experience and meal here. I recommend visiting the visit if you are in the area.

Yelp
Nom Nom Nom!! The Japanese bun with Pork is super tasty!! The bun was light and fluffy with sliced pork that melted in my mouth. It also had fresh cucumber for taste and texture and the sauce had a nice heat to it!! Highly recommend coming here & will be back!!
google avatar

Sally C.

Yelp
Kizuki is one of the better ramen places in Portland area. Came on their grand opening day and the food tasted exactly like their cedar hills location! Great service too. The mango iced tea was so good!
google avatar

Nikki G.

Yelp
The service here is always top notch; so attentive and excellent. The best veggie ramen in town!!!! And the broth .
google avatar

Meagan N.

Yelp
Grand opening! Always reliable and excited for this closer location! The lychee lemonade is delicious!
google avatar

Anders B.

Yelp
Oh the buttery/garlicky broth was what I needed on that rainy day. Fresh and fast service, dynamite cocktails, it was like being in a more upscale Japanese ramen house. keep it Up
google avatar

Somy K.

Yelp
This place is really good. They just opened this location recently and it is nicely decorated. The space is very clean, light and bright. I tend to order the house salad and geso karaage when I come. Both excellent and filling dishes. My go to ramen order is the garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen and upgrade to pork belly. It is superb! The broth has depth, the pork is savory, and the marinated soft boiled egg is jammy and perfectly cooked every time. Service is consistent here as well!
google avatar

Traci M.

Yelp
I'll be honest the decor is what got me to come in here. I was walking by on my way to one of the shops in the shopping mall and came back for dinner that same day. This place recently opened and is still waiting for a liquor license, so they are not currently serving alcohol despite it being on the menu. The place was pretty busy for dinner but we got a table right away and our waiter was very friendly. We ordered tempura veggies, perfectly crispy and no oily and a good variety of veggies, and I had the miso ramen with no pork but two eggs. I really enjoyed the broth and even got a cool bag to bring my leftovers home in! Definitely a cute place for delicious date night!

Jasmin L.

Yelp
The vibes are immaculate. The food was great. Overall I had a great time eating here. :) Armando and our other server were also very kind! *thank you for the extra spice*
google avatar

Yelp
The location is a culmination of multiple shops in one building. I got confused finding it on my GPS at first, but when I walked in, it was quite clear what the situation was. You just walk in, and there's kind of a common area where you can sit down after you get your food. It wasn't busy at all when I was in there, and similar to when I was in Taipei, you order at the counter then they give you a buzzer, take a seat and come back when the buzzer starts ringing. The employees were kind and delightful to speak to, the wait was super short, and the presentation of the meal was clean. The whole place has a very laid-back feel to it, so it's easy to come here and have a casual brunch alone with friends or some drinks (there is a bar as well). The garlic tonkotsu ramen I ordered was fire, and I loved everything about the dish (I am a garlic fiend). I've had a lot of ramen in Asia, and I can tell this was made with care. Highly recommended, well done
google avatar

Alanna D.

Yelp
Super clean and cute ramen place . Service is great and very attentive. The ramen and drinks are superb as always. I recommend this location because it has a lot more parking than the other one in Portland. Absolutely love the decor, will be coming back here again!

Yelp
I really enjoy going to Kizuki in Beaverton and when I heard there was a new location opening at NW 23rd, I had to go and check it out. This place did not disappoint! Ambience is great, interior design is beautiful, I enjoyed the music selection. The customer service was very friendly and welcoming. There is a parking lot outside with street parking available as well. I ordered the Tonkotsu Tsukemen and my partner got the Tonkotsu Ramen. We also shared the takoyaki which was hot but very delicious! I really liked my tsukemen! And I totally forgot that you can ask for clear broth afterwards to add to the dipping broth and sip. Definitely hit the spot on this chilly, rainy Portland day. We will back to this location very shortly!
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
I don't know what all the fuss is about. There's better takoyaki in town, multiple local businesses that have better ramen. I tried both the takoyaki and garlic tonkotsu shoyu ramen at Kizuki and left underwhelmed. Service was fine, the restaurant seemed clean, but there is no character in the broth, no nuance. The ramen is one note. If you have to advertise that you serve "authentic Japanese ramen" that's suspect. Kizuki is the McDonalds of ramen.

Yelp
A+ Just had fantastic weekend lunch w the family! 3 ramens all amazing including a veggie ramen w Kale noodles and super silken tofu -- just fantastic :) Shoyu ramen broth super solid as was Miso ramen Had starters of Agedashi tofu, pork bun (mantao bun) and edamame alll executed perfectly and fresh as Can be. Service super fast and very attentive and friendly I can see why it gets 5 stars.... It actually earns them We live across the river but surely will be back again!

Yelp
The food is very flavorful. They also have a very good selection. The service is amazing and friendly, as well as quick service. The atmosphere here is wonderful and is really comfortable to sit in. It's a very comfortable place that has a comfortable and relaxing vibe as well. All in all I'd rate it higher if I could. I love coming here and come by whenever I need a meal leaving me full and satisfied. I would definitely recommend: Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen Potato Croquettes Guidon And Pork chasu don
google avatar

Kay D.

Yelp
An amazing ramen spot with thoughtful details throughout. The utensils and dish wear were amazing quality, the food has beautiful presentation and was super tasty! The employees are also very friendly and accommodating. We will be going here to satisfy our ramen cravings!

Yelp
Very nice dining in experience; great food with awesome service, great place to dine in after the Japanese Garden visit, it is literally just 1-2 minutes drive.

Yelp
Wanting to stay with the Japanese theme after a visit to the netsuke exhibit at the Japanese garden, I found Kizuki in the nearby Uptown Shopping Center. It was my first time there, and I was delighted with everything! I felt as though I were in a nice little place in Kamakura! Ramen seems to be a focus, but wanting to avoid the carbs, I ordered their spinach goma-age (wilted spinach with roasted sesame oil and sesame seeds (which I will now make at home!)), the house salad (romaine lettuce topped with chicken, soft tofu, cucumber, seaweed, and miso dressing,) and the Japanese bun, (a soft, warm Peking duck style sliced bun filled with sliced chicken karaage, cucumber, lettuce and a little mild dressing.) Endless cups of Japanese tea served without waiting. Everything was attractively plated. The portions were reasonable but moderate enough to enable me to try three items, which I appreciated. It was a very satisfying dinner. The style of the restaurant was perfect: pin-neat, not oppressively traditional, not too "cutsie," just unmistakably Japanese, pleasant and relaxed. The manager was friendly and helpful, very on-the-spot without hovering. I felt well-cared for, have recommended Kizuki to friends and will return! Going in off-hours is a plus because parking in the area can be a challenge. Enjoy!
google avatar

Julia V.

Yelp
Finally, good ramen! The broth was well seasoned and delicious. I got the spicy miso ramen. Then I also had for appetizer the fried chicken with the spicy mayo. My goodness everything was so delicious! The service was amazing and the location is so nice! There is parking! Lol can't wait to go again. It's been hard to find some good Ramen. If I had to say anything critical, it would be that it was a tad more saltier, but that's because of the choice of meat that I wanted on my Ramen (spicy chicken). But I would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Katty T.

Yelp
This is a difficult review since the restaurant decor, location, menu and service all quite acceptable. Even the ramen is great until you get to the "pork". I've been by twice and each time ordered the pork ramen, should have learned the first visit. The ramen noodles, broth and accompaniments tasty, the pork on the other hand is a definite "no go". Both times I ordered the pork it tasted like a piece of cardboard. So much so that I just left it. Bump up the pork game and you have a winner. All in all,a great spot unless you order a pork dish.

Stephan ..

Yelp
Low quality food, too salty and over seasoned in general Staff were nice and tried to help

Sean G.

Yelp
High quality food with great service! The soft boiled eggs are cooked perfectly. I ordered the garlic Raman dish and added another egg and the pork belly. Masarap!

Karen G.

Yelp
Amazing customer service! Tasty delicious food! Highly recommend Ambiance is so wonderful especially sitting at the window! So happy this place opened!

Yelp
Very good food, quick service, lots of options, the restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and has a good vibe. The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the music, it was only okay.

Renjimon A.

Yelp
Favorite ramen place in Portland! They have great toppings, delicious ramen eggs, and excellent broth!

Yelp
We got take out for 5 adults and it was delicious. They did a great job packing it up to go, they even gave us a really nice reusable bag to carry it all in.

Yelp
Instantly my favorite ramen spot! They have yam noodles for us gluten-free folks, and everything I've tried here is delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great broth yummy egg and many options!! Wish the noodles were a little thicker but thats just a preference... mango tea finished my meal sweetly!! Thanks server Bruce for great service!

Lol M.

Yelp
One of the best Ramen in town. Specially enjoyed the thin noodle option. Staff there were always friendly, professional, and welcoming. Recommend

Yelp
Fantastic food. Tried the garlic tonkatsu, and it was killer. They have really cool and thoughtfully designed to-go packaging
