Yelp
Kizuki impresses for a chain Asian restaurant. I know I might get some flack for this, but Kizuki delivers on quality, service, and price in a way Din Tai Fung, Dough Zone, and Hokkaido Ramen Santouka just don't. Don't mistake me. These places are good...but over hyped.
Kizuki impressed me the first time I ordered their classic tonkatsu shoyu ramen for delivery. The bag they used was surprisingly nice (and reusable). Not that I cared what kind of bag it came in, but damn, that attention to detail left an impression. The quality of the ramen was even more surprising. For delivery, I don't expect much. But the pork chasiu was so soft and tender and not overly salty. The broth was savory and not too oily. I heated everything up and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. So good, that I could imagine just how much better it would be dining in. "If it's this good delivered..." I can't say that for a lot of places when it's delivered. A company that takes its time to ensure their delivered food is almost as good as dining in already tells me they take their food seriously.
Fast forward 2 years, and I'm still convinced Kizuki is doing something very right. They cracked the code on delivering excellent ramen for a chain, both in-house and to-go. My latest visit didn't disappoint. Service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious, and price was right.
I would easily recommend Kizuki for any ramen lover. Good ramen is good ramen, even if it's a chain.
