Ambiance: 5/5
The restaurant’s interior reflects the simplicity and elegance of traditional Japanese ramen shops. It’s clean, inviting, and has a warm, cozy vibe that enhances the overall experience.
Authenticity: 5/5
This is a truly authentic Japanese ramen place. I ordered the Hakata Ramen, a traditional tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen, and it had the richness and depth of flavor you’d expect from a bowl in Japan. The noodles were thin and firm, exactly how ramen should be. On top of that, I loved that I could customize my noodle firmness, which is crucial for avoiding soggy noodles—a big deal for any ramen enthusiast like me.
Flavor: 5/5
The broth was rich and packed with umami, creating a perfect balance with the tender chashu and fresh toppings. I also ordered a side of tonkatsu (Japanese fried pork chops), and it was phenomenal. The breading was light and puffy, and the pork itself was juicy—exactly like what you’d find in Japan.
Cost: 4.5/5
The prices are fair for the quality you’re getting. While it’s not cheap, you’re paying for an authentic experience that’s well worth it.
Service: 5/5
The servers were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. They were quick to refill drinks and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit.
Final Thoughts:
Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya has quickly become one of my favorite ramen spots. The ability to customize my noodles to perfection and the exceptional authenticity of both the ramen and sides make this a place I’ll be returning to. Highly recommended for ramen lovers looking for a genuine experience!
