The deluxe chirashi don is always a treat — they add little twists each time. My favorites are the seared salmon and mackerel, plus the sweet shrimp and uni. The shrimp head is fried crispy and so fragrant, and the roe is delicious too. Honestly, every piece was great (except I’m not a big fan of scallops personally). You can also order uni separately. Their Anh Ni tuna is amazing — firm, rich, and very satisfying. Among the appetizers, I loved the takoyaki the most. Overall, just order what you like — you won’t regret it!

Really bummed about my experience. I ordered sushi, curry chicken, and the gyoza app for pickup (through their preferred online ordering service). While I appreciate their consideration of an allergy, the rest of my experience was anything but positive. I arrived at the estimated pickup time, and was told it would take another 10 minutes. 10 minutes go by and my order is still not ready. Apparently my receipt was lost, and the gyoza wasn’t made? Anyway, it took about 40 minutes of waiting total after I arrived to get my food (over an hour after ordering). I think every other item in my order (sans gyoza) was done when I first got there and then just left to sit in the same bag together, because my sushi was warm and all the foods that were supposed to be hot were luke warm at best, despite a very short ride home after picking up (the rice was cold, and the breaded chicken was very soggy). When I opened the bag, there was a side salad open and spilled throughout the inside, and my sushi looked like it had been shaken before being bagged. Overall incredibly disappointed given the price of food + tip. Also an update after eating some of the food: there was a staple found in the miso soup.

Google
It has decent food But they have very limited vegetarian or vegan options in-fact the only vegan option is Sushi. I have been to many similar places in the past but have never seen this limited options for vegans or vegetarians. So I hope they have more. Most of the food they prepare has fish or meat broth that cuts down more options if you are a vegetarian or vegan looking to try ramen bowl. However if you are a non vegetarian then you should be fine. Ramen bowl are decent quantity and quiet filling. The service was very slow strangely we had to wait for 30+ mins to just get the sushi. Also the tables are very sticky so be careful. Staff 4/5 Food 3/5 Service 3/5 Price 3/5 Ambiance 4/5

Delicious sushi, interesting authentic Japanese appetizers and staff. Would come back for the sushi, but skip the ramen. Go to Mauraman for ramen instead that’s cheaper and more flavorful in my opinion. Don’t believe the hype from the Washington Post for their special changsu ramen—not worth it. My wife found a hair on her sushi. The owner was very understanding; explained how the staff complained about hair nets because of the hot summer. But because of this, she’s going to ask them to re-wear it. So the owner comped the shrimp sushi and gave us the Japanese ice cream sandwiches for free. I’d come back just for their delicious sushi. Also, one of the few places in the area with Japanese workers, versus Chinese or Koreans.

Google
Can not recommend this place enough! The Tonkotsu ramen was delicious, as well as the shrimp tempura sushi and kaiju gyoza! Loved everything we tried. Met the owner who personally greeted us and was so kind and humble. The food and atmosphere made it a 10 out of 10 experience!

Hyeongwoo K.

Google
A fine Japanese restaurant. Vibrant atmosphere. The owner greets everyone with a big smile. :) It's quite a popular place. Their sushi was ok, but tonkotsu ramen needs some improvement. Their chashu has too much fat, making the broth too heavy.

Google
Incredible sushi at reasonable prices. The non-signature roles are $7-$8 for 6 pieces, and the signature rolls are around $18-$20 for 8 pieces. The Kizuna and Ono rolls are incredible, 10/10. The salmon + avocado, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura were also very good.

Google
Have tried a lot of Ramen spots in the DMV and Kizuna has the best ramen by far. Honestly, this place is in top 3 I’ve ever had anywhere in the U.S. Very rich and flavorful broth, while not being overpowered with salt at the same time. My girlfriend and I always get the Toro Chashu ramen w/ tonkotsu broth (for +$1), which is a little pricier, but extremely worth it. They do not skimp with the pork belly and it’s so delicious.

Yelp
Almost 4 months of going here probably a dozen times, it has become one of my regular spots, originally for their chirashi, but now also their charshu pork ramen. I finally tried it in the restaurant and it was delicious! Service as usual was perfect. My request to move to a different table in a more quiet area of the restaurant was embraced with grace. Great food. Personal service. Relaxing and positive energy. Love it and will continue to visit them!

Yelp
Cute tucked away sushi and ramen spot near Tysons. They were very accommodating with our questionable party size. We ended up with 8 and they were able to accommodate. The food was pretty good. Staff did an amazing job accommodating our group. We ordered the aged dashi, chicken Karage as appetizers, and pork belly buns as appetizers. My favorite of them was the pork belly buns. They had pretty good flavor. Each appetizer came with 2 buns, so we ordered 3 so everyone could try. A friend and I ended up sharing rolls. We ordered the caterpillar, red light, dynomite roll, eel roll. All were good and highly suggest looking at what you want before hand because they have a lot of rolls and even some limited menu items (on a separate menu). I think the rolls were pretty good and I think the one I enjoyed most was the green light, red light roll. Nothing in particular stood too far out, I do really like eel in the dishes which surprising not a lot of specialty rolls included. I do wish they came by and told us again which rolls were which since they all came on the same platter. Definitely worth a stop. They also had ramen which a couple of people at the table ordered, so maybe I'll come back for that next time.

Yelp
Walking in, we were immediately seated and given menus. The ambience was gorgeous with high wooden booths. Drinks were promptly brought out and our server came back multiple times to check to see if we were ready. Age dashi tofu Spicy scallop roll: 10/10 The most amazing roll I've had in my entire life. The scallop pieces were big and melted with every bite. It was a perfect fish to rice ratio. I was left satisfied yet still wanting more. Salmon avocado: 10/10 You could taste how fresh the salmon was and I loved how the avocado melted into it. A good baseline roll I order at ever restaurant. Overall the service was great, the place was clean and well decorated, and the food was the best I've had.

Yelp
Great sushi for the price. Atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice and white. Staff is friendly and very fast. The buns for especially Good on the appetizer menu. Be cautious because spicy means SPICY for the specialty rolls . If you don't like heat, avoid any of the spicy sushi on the menu.

Yelp
Not impressed! The vibe of hostess and servers are so awkward and lame. No one had a smile on, they seeemed very very low on energy and just don't care. Food wise, it is just okay. Nothing special....I did like their kids' menu tho!

Yelp
Fast and good food. Stopped by for a quick salad and sushi roll. Service was quick, brought out our waters right away. We ordered miso soup and seaweed salad, both appetizers came out quick and very tasty. We got tuna avocado sushi rolls and shrimp tempura sushi roll. They were delicious and very fresh. Will definitely come back again. The ambiance was cozy and friendly.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by Kizuna for dinner this past Friday after a friend recommended the ramen here. The ambiance is warm and vibrant with a modern Japanese interior. The server gave us his recommendations and we got our ramens pretty quickly. TONKOTSU RAMEN - 15 Our server said he liked to tonkotsu over the shio, so I ended up going with this one. This one comes with two nicely charred pork chashu, garlic oil, ginger, beansprouts, scallions, and nori. Sadly, I do not think this comes with a ramen egg, so you'll have to pay extra if you want it. The broth was creamy and flavorful (I could definitely taste the richness of the fat) but not overly salty. The pork chashu was a bit dry, but good flavor overall. I loved the generous amount of scallions. The noodles (yellow egg noodles here) soaked up the broth well and and beansprouts provided a nice crunchy texture. It hit the spot, but nothing to write home about. Not the best ramen spot in the DMV, and the portion size is slightly smaller compared to other spots. I could definitely eat more, though. Also, no ramen egg comes with it, sad!

Yelp
Family-owned ramen bar with fantastic sushi. They use fresh in-house clean-label bone broths and ramen that are amalgamated with just the right combination to tantalize both the traditional and modern Japanese and Western palates. I had the Kizuna ramen and it was delicious! Premium Aburi Chashu (high grade pork belly carved and rolled, marinated overnight, braised for over 7 hours, chilled, sliced, and then chargrilled to smoky, tender perfection), delightful ramen noodles that are perfectly cooked and textured, and your usual ramen accoutrements, topped with a perfectly cooked and sliced Ramen Egg (Ajitsuke Tamago). Jinya ramen really can't compare with this, in my opinion. if you get the chance to meet the owner Rock or his family members, be sure to ask them about the story of the restaurant. it's a warm combination of east meets west!

Yelp
In the realm of casual elevated sushi and ramen places, Kizuna is one of my favorites. I've dined here countless times. Staff is welcoming and attentive, and food is usually served quickly. I almost always order the vegetable shio ramen - a creature of habit! The broth tastes homemade with fresh ingredients - hits the spot every time.
google avatar

Sanjana R.

Yelp
The Chicken Shio ramen was yummy, and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and was not dry at all. The Smothered Tater Tots were very good too, I loved how the pork was prepared, it was very flavorful and paired well with the tots! The service was great, our waiter was very nice and even packed my leftover ramen up for me. They checked up on us several times, which was considerate. The ambiance of the place is great too, it wasn't too crowded when we went on a Monday evening, and the decor/vibe is pretty and relaxing. Would definitely visit again to try the sushi out!
google avatar

Lily R.

Yelp
The inside of the restaurant and the bamboo garden outside are so pretty. The food comes out fast but the chicken wings take awhile. The ramen is the best here, definitely recommend any of the different types.

Yelp
The best sushi restaurant ever, authentic food, great service even if it needs to wait, believe me it's worth it!!! Happy to have it in Virginia!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been here two days in a row now. I've heard so many good things about their chirashi luxe! However it was a cold night so I ended up getting the pork shio ramen. The soup was delicious, the chashu is perfectly charred and tender, I loved my bowl and finished it quickly! The next day I came back to get chirashi bowl, they gave me a generous amount of fish, including premium seafood like uni, seared salmon belly and toro! I was so impressed by this bowl. I would definitely come back to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Excellent. Kizuna is our "go to" sushi and ramen spot in Northern Virgina. We've been at least twenty times in the four years we've been here. Delicious, made to order, sushi rolls, with fresh, top-tier ingredients. The salmon is top-notch, both the sashimi and nigiri. The pork and chicken Shio ramen are phenomenal, just the right amount "salty," and a perfect balance between well-seasoned broth and the noodles, not too soupy. The shrimp and vegetable tempura is our favorite starter, which is perfectly cooked, crisp exterior and moist shrimp/vegetables. Very respectable sake menu. Kizuna can get busy on the weekends, but the roomy, modern Japanese settling always allows for a relaxed atmosphere. The service is good, attentive without being overbearing, and I've never waited long for food, even on the weekends. The owner is very welcoming and greets every guest as she makes her rounds through the tables. A great spot for a celebration or a casual night out; Kizuna works for just about any occasion.

Yelp
The best sushi I've ever had in Virginia -- absolutely authentic! Excellent service , we even got to chat with the wonderful owner. For my husband's birthday, she treated us to a delicious dessert.

A T.

Yelp
A family of eight visited Kizuna Japanese Restaurant, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The food didn't taste Japanese at all and lacked flavor. The restaurant serve low grade soy sauce and wasabi. The décor felt more like a a generic Chinese eatery, and the staff showed no basic greetings/courtesy. The Chinese chef behind the counter was talking over the food without a mask, looking unprofessional and sloppy. Honestly, the sushi and sashimi at Costco are much better. I left Kizuna feeling frustrated and upset.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Beautiful restaurant, I went for lunch with friends and it was quiet but lovely. The staff were very kind. I love that they have both sushi and ramen. The sushi was very good, I wish the spicy mayo was mixed into the spicy tuna instead of put on top, but otherwise the food was delicious. Vegan options are alright but not phenomenal. The shio ramen was divine! There's only one other place that has ramen this good that I've tried.
google avatar

Emmesy P.

Yelp
This place is a really cute spot. The sushi was fresh and it was delicious. It has so much flavor. The staff were friendly and the prices match up with what you get.

Con C.

Yelp
I went to Kizuna for the first time earlier this week after hearing so many good things about it, and it did not disappoint! Each cut of sushi was extremely fresh and well-prepared, and the presentation was superb. I'd personally recommend the Sashimi Moriawase 16 piece combo to get a little taste of everything. Aside from sushi, the shio ramen broth is also phenomenal. The broth is rich but not too salty so you can drink the soup without feeling bloated or thirsty after! I'd recommend the Pork Shio Ramen or the Kizuna Ramen. Overall, a clean, well-kept restaurant with solid food, and amazing service. Definitely see myself becoming a regular :)

Yelp
The brilliance of Kizuna is that they offer both SUSHI and RAMEN in the same place. My sushi folks don't eat ramen so we hadn't been able to go to ramen exclusive restaurants. Now I can have ramen while they have sushi. This is genius! Having said that, I didn't get ramen this time Lol. I was feeling sushi so let's rate their sushi. Their signature rolls were outstanding even though I don't understand why some sushi rolls are so huge to fit into one bite. I was surprised they had White Tuna nigiri. I always look for them in sushi restaurants. I'd rate the ones here 9/10 - not the best I've had but good. The salmon avocado hand roll was spot on 10/10. There are so many more items on their menu I want to come back for. The pickled ginger here is one of the best I've ever had. Perhaps, they made it from scratch. The kick it gave was unique, unlike other restaurants. The miso soup, however, was watered down and tasted off. I'd skip it next time. Kizuna managed to find a secluded building in the Tyson area. It's a great location with many parking spaces right in front. This is a busy area to have such a dedicated building and parking space. The layout and presentation inside also welcome you in. I especially love the ceiling full of dim light. The restaurant is split into two halves - one half has tables like any other restaurant and the other half is like a ramen bar. To top it all off, the waitress was attentive showing up at the right time to order and delivering food without long pauses in between. VERDICT: so many good options, and amazing lighting, coming back for more!
google avatar

Don Q.

Yelp
Not sure what has recently changed. We take out from them usually, but the last two orders were mistakes. Prior they left out an entree, but I called and at least they took it off the bill. Last time both salads were missing. Sent a msg through the website, tried to connect on FB -neither replied. Food/value ratio has been good before.
google avatar

Blanca R.

Yelp
I stopped by for lunch yesterday and it was my first time at Kizuna and everything was amazing. Everything is flavored to perfection the pork belly baos were so delish. The caterpillar roll was so amazing. The pork in my pork shoyu ramen was cook to perfection. Service was 10/10 and I really like the ambiance is very unique. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
As a Vienna native, I have been to my fair share of sushi spots in the area. We tried Kizuna on a Wednesday evening and were sat immediately. How it was not more packed is beyond me! My husband and I got four sushi rolls, the homemade gyoza and the pork belly rolls. We were so blown away, we said "this place takes our #1 spot now!" Cannot wait to go back- 5/5 stars!
google avatar

Dylan S.

Yelp
FANTASTIC!! When I say that my wife and I have eaten a lot of sushi, I do mean A LOT. And that includes across the country and internationally. We stopped in for dinner and had four rolls, gyoza and steamed buns. The gyoza hit the table first and let's just say all other gyozas have been demoted now that I've tried Kizuna's. Not only were they extra large, they were cooked perfectly, and the pork was phenomenal. Next we had the steamed pork buns, also absolutely excellent although it was hard to top the gyoza. The four special sushi rolls we got knocked our socks off. The fish quality was ultra tender, melt in your mouth. We just kept saying "WOW!" The entire meal. We expected a great sushi dinner and we left with Kizuna being our new favorite sushi restaurant in NOVA. Additionally, the owner came to our table and was especially sweet and kind to us and even delivered some tasty Mochi as a desert on the house! 10/10 highly recommend. Stop reading this and go eat some sushi at Kizuna. Next time we'll have to give the ramen a try!
google avatar

Elena G.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, some of the best sushi I've ever had! Each roll was so delicious my boyfriend and I were fighting over who got the last piece! The service was really good, staff were very friendly. The owner even came over and chatted with us which was nice! The restaurant itself is nice and cozy, you have to check out this hidden gem in Tyson's.
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
Craving some good-tasting ramen for dinner, I came to this place. Food - Their tonkatsu ramen was pretty good, but their sushi was terrible. The alleged tuna was brown! Do you know what it means when the fish changes its color? it means it is not fresh and I could taste it too! Service - Good, servers were nice and relatively quick due to the restaurant being almost completely empty when I was there. Parking - They have a parking lot right outside. Overall, this place is okay. They used to be great, but in the last 3 years it has been progressively getting worse.
google avatar

Alice W.

Yelp
Came in for late lunch on a Sunday, there was ample seating without a reservation! Food took a while to come out but was very good! They are flexible with the sushi moriawase if you want to exclude any certain kind of fish or shrimp which is nice. They have a lot of other items on the menu as well such as ramen and katsu curry.
google avatar

Arista W.

Yelp
I'm mad I waited so long to come back. The sushi and ramen was so delicious and I loved every bite of it. The service is great, the place is clean, and every menu item is worth trying. Make sure you get some hot saki to wash it all down
google avatar

Christine K.

Yelp
messed up my online ramen order and never returned my call after leaving a voicemail about it. 6/3/25 the spicy tuna/salmon rolls are just regular tuna and salmon rolls with globs of spicy mayo on top.
google avatar

Hannah P.

Yelp
The food itself is average for ramen and sushi in the area. The ramen is decent and the sushi is mid. The road leading to the restaurant is also tricky. The server also charged us for something we didn't ask for and when we brought it up, she said we did ask for it and then left so we were shook. The inside vibes and decor is cute though.
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
I come here quite often since it's so close to me (3 min drive) and love their food, ambience, and drinks so much! The owner is also so friendly and sweet and will be there on a busy night to support her staff and to go around to greet / speak to guests. My fiancé isn't a big sushi guy (sad I know, I LOVE sushi) but we're able to agree to come here because their menu is so extensive has has great options besides sushi! He really enjoys their Kizuna ramen and pork bao buns. I always like to get the salmon avacado roll or some speciality rolls like the red light green light or valcano roll. For appetizer I like to get the takoyaki. They also have a nice bar with cocktails like the Water Lily that has Jameson, Peachtree, fresh squeezed like and agave. We also get beers here like Sapporo premium or Asahi. They have a matcha IPA which I'm also very curious to try! Overall I love eating here and it does get busy on the weekends so I would advise to go early! They also close their kitchen at 2:30pm. I was driving passing by and randomly decided I wanted sushi and they were nice enough to seat me at 2:25pm and let me order. Plenty of parking right by the restaurant but it does get very busy for dinner. I love this place and come a lot! Brought my mom a couple times when she's been in town.
google avatar

Bob C.

Yelp
Oh my Kizuna! We had a friend who recommend this restaurant. We came in around 4:45 with no wait. It gets packed around 5:45 on a Saturday. The service is amazing and the food is delicious. We had some sushi, the pork bao, and my son had the Kizuna ramen with a grape marble soda. We shared a few bites with him as the bowl was huge and he is little.
google avatar

Mingyu L.

Yelp
Excellent sushi ramen place. Very friendly service and owner. The owner walks around and talks to all her customers. Make you feel like home. Place has many seats. Plenty of parking. I saw a lot of door dash orders go out. The only small problem is trying to get to the restaurant during dinner rush hour may be challenging as VA drivers are not the kindest. I had the sashimi deluxe platter and shared a Kizuna ramen. Price is typical NoVA price.

David P.

Yelp
Wildly expensive sushi. You'll be rubbing your temples after ordering like 2 rolls and a Sapporo. Maybe even yelling out loud, "I'm gonna need a 3rd job for this one!"
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
We've been here a few times and it can be a hit or miss. We had the Kizuna ramen which was really good. Their signature rolls are also very good. The staff is super friendly. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of parking. We would come back again!
google avatar

PHAN D.

Yelp
Kizuna is a gem in Tyson's corner. Consistent food with beautiful presentations. The lunch special is my consistent go-to. Favorites: Red light/green light roll Onyx dragon Monkfish It can get quite hectic on nights and weekends. But service is always fast.

Alejandra Del Mar A.

Yelp
Y'all have to come here, best sushi place I've been so far in the DMV. Amazing food, the sushi delicious, service is excellent.

Yelp
We were very pleased with our dinner. If you are looking for entertaining seafood, it must be on your list. Nice ambience, helpful and attentive service. Enjoy!

Yelp
This must be a popular Japanese restaurant in the Tysons area. I suggest you call for reservations as opposed to storming in. We got there at 6PM. The host was wonderful, he provided us with a bar stool high table and it was bad for our backs. I requested to be moved to a table with chairs or possibly a booth and he took care of us. We eventually moved to a booth the moment it opened up. Sushi was fresh. What was surprising was that they had the hamachi Kama, which my cousin ordered to go. Owner visited every table, she's an older lady who's so vibrant and friendly and hip. Will I go back, I definitely will!

Katrina G.

Yelp
I love this place... fresh, fresh seafood, wonderfully prepared. Great service! I am there at least once a week. Their lunch menu is really reasonably priced. Highly recommend this sushi restaurant.
google avatar

Virginia H.

Yelp
This is one of a few places everyone at work chooses for lunch. The restaurant does seem a bit tucked in the corner so it could easily be missed driving around Tysons. I got the Sushi 'Zu' that comes with 7 pieces of nigiri and 6 pieces of spicy tuna rolls. Both the nigiri and sushi were fresh and filling. The order also includes a side of miso soup or house salad, but I remember dining in used to include both in the past. I chose miso soup and it was in the smallest container ever. Other restaurants use those kind of containers for sauce not soup so I was unimpressed with their take out. When I dined in their service was quick, but for take out it is best to order ahead of time because it did take much longer. I had a slightly better experience dining in at the restaurant than ordering to go for lunch.

Yelp
4/5! Decided to try this place out with a friend for dinner as we were trying to branch out and see what other ramen spots have to offer around this area. I can say, I'm a fan of this ramen spot. The Food: I went with the Kizuna Ramen and some sushi. Which had a pork stock and three pieces of chashu. Also had to top it off with the spice bomb to give it a kick. The flavor of the pork broth was delicious and the chashu was melt in your mouth pull apart. Overall, a very delicious bowl of ramen that is well portioned. As for the spice bomb, it can get very spicy, so I'd recommend putting a little at a time in your bowl. The Service: The staff were friendly and the overall restaurant was very nice. There was plenty of seating during dinner and we were seated almost immediately. There's also a patio that is very nice and lit, but it was a little too cold for our liking. Orders got out in a timely manner as well. Overall, 4/5! Great ramen/sushi spot.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and service!!! The hand roll was my personal fav but everything tasted so fresh. The ramen was also soooo delicious
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
The ramen at this place was pretty bad but the sushi was good. Ive had ramen at places like Ippudo and Ichiran to compare to and their ramen is not even in the same category. I still give them three stars because overall the service was good and the sushi was good.

Maria K.

Yelp
SO GOOD One of my favorite ramen spots in the DMV Broth is perfection and a generous amount of noodles Sushi and other small plates are also a must
google avatar

Elenna M.

Yelp
The food here is such high quality and definitely did not disappoint! I love the ambiance of the restaurant when you walk in as it gives off homey and authentic vibes. The presentation of the dishes were amazing and so appetizing. It is on the more expensive side, as expected since it's located in Tysons. Would highly recommend trying the otoro (the fattiest part of a bluefin tuna), it was delicious.
google avatar

Gissel G.

Yelp
The sushi was mid at best. It was overall plain. However, the service was very good. They were kind and patient, along with attentive, which is amazing of them.

Yelp
If you're looking for quality sushi and perfectly executed ramen- this is THE go to spot in the dmv. From the variety they offer in fish selection- to the diversity in the menu for any type of Japanese food craving you may have, they have it all. The food is out fairly quick for all the effort they pour into every dish. The ramen itself puts every other Japanese restaurant in the area to shame. As busy as it gets inside, the servers always remain attentive and polite. The interior makes this a perfect date spot that's cozy yet lively. Just make sure you go with your pockets full and your stomach empty
