The Best Korean Restaurants and Food Carts in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"Grillers can find the same savory solace at Kkoki Korean BBQ with less of the party atmosphere of K-Town. Nearly all of the spacious wooden booths have tables housing a gas grill, ideal for slabs of galbi. Diners can order standard cuts of meat a la carte or go for one of the all-you-can-eat combinations, with options like marinated and un-marinated pork belly, beef belly, and pork jowl. The premium option adds things like LA galbi, beef tongue, and gopchang — ox intestine marinated in a teriyaki-style sauce. When it comes to the sauces, red meat goes with the classic garlicky soy-based version and the pork with seasoned sesame oil." - Rebecca Roland

The Korean Mama (and Son’s) Guide to Portland, Oregon Restaurants | Eater Portland

"For Korean barbecue the Kims almost always go to Kkoki, where Jane praises the quality of the meat; she performs a ritual of cleaning the grill, drying the provided ssam greens, and cutting the lettuce into bite-sized pieces, and they reliably order beef brisket, pork belly, beef belly, and LA galbi every time." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Where to Find Korean Fried Chicken in Portland and Beyond | Eater Portland

"While Kkoki is mainly a Korean barbecue spot, the fried chicken here is no joke. Kkoki only serves the yangnyeom chicken, which is a small speck on the menu under the special dishes. The chicken should be accompanied by other dishes or sides on the menu, but comes as a heaping mountain and can easily feed two diners. Kkoki has two locations, one in SE Portland and the other in Beaverton. Both are doing indoor dine-in, takeout and delivery." - Seiji Nanbu

Our first Korean BBQ experience was lovely. Walking in we were greeted kindly by a host then lead to a table after 3 minutes of waiting. The restaurant decently full, for a 12pm rush... yet everyone was quiet and a nice hum... of conversation filled the air. Every table filled with good cooking smells and smiling faces and something told me we just found gold. Our server was fast and intelligent, Knowledgeable of the menu and helped us figure out what was best. They made it really easy to navigate and I really appreciate that. Food came fast. As fast as blinking. Ha. And everything looked great. We very much enjoyed eating at our pleasure. My children thought it was so much fun too. And they didn't make me feel too bad about burning the first pan they gave me haha. I would highly recommend this place. And I will definitely return and bring people here in the future. Amazing energy clean great food good price.

First time with tabletop grill. Went to a different place and they had an hour wait, came here and we got a table in about 5-10 minutes. The food was good quality and lots of options, plus plenty of sides and rice. I found the staff to be very friendly and attentive, and the price seemed pretty reasonable for what you get. Bulgogi was my favorite. Though I ate a lot of Kimchi and rice haha.

Google
It was alright. I felt like it was really crowded in there, and there were about 10-15 people waiting in the line to come in for a seat. I saw that there were also fewer options for veggies and other items that I was hoping to get. We had to wait multiple times for the waiter to come and switch out the stove top and get refills. I felt like it was decent and pretty clean overall.

Google
The place was clean, the service was friendly, and the food was fresh. We liked that they had a salt/pepper/msg shaker at the table! We would come back!

Google
First time ever at a Korean BBQ. Went with a party of 7. The food was okay. The quality was decent. But the side and sauce selection were really basic. Would have been nice to have more flavor with my food. Waiter showed up a couple of times to check on waters and see if we wanted more sides. All in all it was pretty good but nothing that amazed me or changed my mind about going to a restaurant to cook my own food.

Google
The servers were super nice and we got a seat pretty quickly. The food was delicious too and I really really liked the kimchi here. Update: Went here again, we had a little bit of a wait but still very delicious.

Brian Saechao

Google
Portion size has gone down (table of 4). It felt like they intentionally waited longer to put in our request for more items. At one point they just forgot that we put in our order already. Basically, the 2 hours time limit was shortened to 1 hour due to waiting for our next round of food to be sent to the table. Customer service was pretty good outside of the wait time. Probably won't be back though.

Google
This place is amazing, the staff are so nice and explain to you the menu. The food is extremely delicious 😋 We drove 3 hours away from home me and my family will definitely come back! Thank you for your great customer service!!

Yelp
I am soooo stoked to find this place! My friend and I ate here on Feb 10, 2024 to celebrate the Lunar New Year. We were able to do 3 rounds! They make you pick 3 meats per round with a 2-hour time limit. The last call for your last set of food would be at the 1.5 hour mark so you gotta finish what you can in 30 minutes. I believe they charge ~$10 if you have excessive food waste which is a brilliant way to remind customers to be mindful of the amount of meat they order. We only did AYCE but on my next visit, I'm looking forward to try other dishes. The ambience is great and the place is well-lit. The waiter/waitresses were always making rounds to make sure everyone is accommodated. They play a lot of K-pop songs and I really enjoyed the food better as a multistan. Especially when they played Seventeen. My carat heart was so thrilled. I couldn't try the soju but if I had a driver I would have. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
We went on Saturday Mother's Day weekend and the service was excellent. Our waiter changed our grill 5 times for 4 rounds of meat we ordered. The food was fresh and yummy as usual. My meat loving teenagers were fully satisfied after a long day.

Yelp
Came here twice recently and noticed some changes since my last visit. I like their new business hours especially since not many places in the area stay open until midnight. It was great to find an Asian dining option after a late movie ending at 9:30 PM. This place still doesn't have good ventilation so you will stink when you leave. All-you-can-eat BBQ price is more affordable than other places in the area even with the supreme package. We had a party of 3 and opted for the supreme package only for the squid, but it wasn't worth it for me. They brought out only one squid at a time and 1.5 hours passed quickly, with last call at 1 hour. The side dishes were different every time I came here, not in a good way. The BBQ tasted average, and specialty items were below par. I ordered the most expensive specialty dish on Kkoki's menu but it didn't taste as good as the one I had in a city with almost no Asian stuff where I lived for four years. There was a piece a tiny piece of bone in the food that almost cracked my tooth. The wait time was long for specialty dishes and I would not order them again. Service was a hit or miss. I waited and waited and finally had to go up to the cash register. Then I waited even more before someone showed up to give me the check.

Yelp
Arrived here to have a dinner/business meeting. When I arrived, the person I was dining with had arrived and was waiting for me. After 2-3 minutes, we were greeted and seated. We were asked if we had dined there before and since neither of us had, the menu was explained to us. They made it very clear that the all you can eat menu is limited to 2 hours and if there is a lot of meat leftover, a $10 fee would apply. The food was good and the service was poor, which is the biggest reason for the lower rating. We had to ask for water refills when we could catch someone as everyone was moving so fast. We were checked on once in the two hours. Any other time we needed something, we had to flag someone down to ask. Thus, the meat did not keep coming as I would have liked considering this is all you can eat. The food that we did get was good. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I would not go back due to the service.

Yelp
Great food for the best value. This place knocks out all other kbbq places I've been to. Service is ehhh.. but it was the only 1 server that threw us off. Everyone one else is veryyyyy attentive. Everything was delicious. Best all you can eat Korean bbq. Quality of the food, is top notch

Yelp
Drove 40 mins to come dine here, started around 4pm on a Saturday, no wait time pricing is still comparable $29.95 for premium (differs from standard that it has shrimp and LA galbi) Still comes with unlimited side dishes, kimchi is a bit more fermented than usual and doesn't taste as fresh orders come stacked now on the same plate instead of spread out, looks messy and it was messy picking through the marinated sauce and some of the blood dripped down to the other meats that were not yet ready to be grilled. Fast pace and quick service, for getting grill changed. Knocked a star off for poor ventilation, duct does not come down to table like some other kbbq places do (i believe seating at the very far side is the restaurant it does have those pulled down vents). Ample parking meat quality has gone down a bit in the last 2 years; this place used to serve very high quality prime meat. Thin slice pork belly still very good. Beef belly broke up very easily, maybe it was shaved too thin? Would corn back again if in area

Yelp
I've gone to many Korean barbecues before and never been told I couldn't go by myself. Very disappointed as I am from Phoenix out of town and this is just kind of ridiculous. I'm probably going to have to look into this with the Oregon health association to see if that's even legit. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I recently visited home for vacation to visit family. One of the places that I've always wanted to try but never did was Kokki Korean grill. I ended up visiting for their all you can eat Korean KBBQ and then sat down to order entrees a few days later. Korean BBQ: -All you can eat BBQ with different price points based on what cuts of meat you were looking for. -I ended up choosing option B for my general KBBQ my go-tos. For the pricier options, you could get seafood options but is unnecessary because the menu is so large. -The quality of their meats were great for the price. None of their meats had significant fat. Any "marinated" meats were freshly sliced raw meat with the sauce poured on top, so the marinade doesn't have adequate time to flavor the meat -The impressive aspect of Kokki is their service. Most other Korean BBQ or AYCE restaurants focus on giving out the first order (which is typically the largest) quickly before being slow to provide subsequent rounds of food. Kokki was NOT like that. Extra rounds of meat were promptly ordered and came out in similarly large quantities.   Galbi Tang (beef short rib soup): -Beef short ribs with sweet potato noodles -I ordered it per my friend's recommendation. While they got it spicy, I chose to go with a mild spice and glad I did. The broth was extremely savory and flavorful. The beef was extremely tender and easily fell off the bone while the vegetables were perfectly cooked to the point they were soft but didn't just disintegrate. This was perfect for a rainy Oregon night! I'd highly recommend ordering this dish if you're contemplating between two items (or just order both)!   Overall, Kokki impressed me with their AYCE KBBQ and entree meals. Their quality of Korean food is some of the best I've had in Oregon. As you can see, I was back within days of going the first time. If you are ever in town, I would highly recommend going to Kokki!

Yelp
They are definitely not open late. Someone needs to update their hours. Thanks for wasting my time!

Yelp
Coming in there were 3 different all you can eat packages. We got package A which is 26.95 per person and has a good portion each round. There are 4 meats per round and 1 veggie with unlimited sides. The sides were pretty good and the meat was all together very good. Our server came not very often and turned our grill up too high and it got meat stuck to it and burnt. Btw you have 2 hours to eat it all and there's a $10 fee for leftover meat.

Yelp
On a tour of the Korean BBQ spots in Portland, my family and I landed on Kkoki. It's an all you can eat spot, which is fantastic. There's a 2 hour time limit like most places. You can order up to 4 items per round. The portions aren't big compared to other places. Which is nice because you aren't getting massive portions so there's a variety and option to get more items. We ordered corn cheese and steamed egg, both were okay. The meats were okay in taste and okay in freshness as well. I liked that they came by and changed the grill without us asking. Some places won't do it until you ask and it will be limited to only one grill change. Love that it's nicely ventilated as well, some places you can visibly see the smoke and it's thick and uncomfortable. We ordered soju and we had a blast. I highly recommend soju with your kbbq. It's always a great time. There was a point in the night that we were looking for our server so we could order another round. We weren't the only table that were looking to order another round.

Yelp
Place is actually pretty good, got the standard package for me and my wife and it's a lot of food that has a lot of good flavor. The spicy marinated pork was our favorite, had the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. The service was also pretty good, the gentleman who served us was constantly swapping our grill which got dirty pretty fast. Only complaint is the $10 is you don't finish your food kind of pressured us to over eat a bit but all and all would definitely recommend if you want to try a Korean BBQ place with a few friends or family.

Yelp
I come once a month. 저는 한국어 음식은 맛있어요. Buddaejiggae is ok - ordered once. Combos are a good first choice. 3 meats, soup, and lots of banchan.

Yelp
Solid all you can eat Korean BBQ spot!! We really enjoyed the Samgyeopsal and LA Galbi.
google avatar

Tram N.

Yelp
This place is the best all you can eat KBBQ in Portland. They're the only place that has the radish wrap that I absolutely love to eat it with the meat! The service can be a bit slow because they're usually understaffed but just be patience! The banchan is also very good too.

Zalayah H.

Yelp
Customer service was amazing both times i went. I got the second package twice idk why because the shrimp isn't all that good i suggest you go either way the basic package but overall food was 10/10!
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
The service is usually pretty good, but I'm beginning to think the establishment is only good if you bring an Asian person with you. My service has always been great and the food good quality with a real relaxed vibe in the place.. that is until I had some family in from out of town and decided to bring them there for their first experience! We are all pasty white! When we went in our waiter wasn't refreshing our veggies or kimchi without us asking (which was unusual from EVERY other time I had been there), and it seemed like we got brought the oldest food available since it was on its last leg (budum cha). I am so sad to having this experience has made me feel like in order to be able to come here and enjoy it I have to be dining with my Asian friends. Racism isn't cool no matter which way you try and spin this. 3 stars instead of one because I have hope for the future and my past experiences were really great.

Yelp
First time having authentic Korean BBQ and it was quite the experience. Saved this dining experience for our last night in Portland and it was well worth the wait. I didn't know what to expect but my manager who lived in South Korea before said this would be good and it was. We did have a 30-45 minute wait for a table. I had called ahead but they only take reservations on weekends or for parties of 5 or more. Once we were seated, we perused the menu and picked some vegetable and settled on the premium package with bulgogi, spicy chicken, beef short ribs and la gulbi as our meat choices. We got some rice and some different small dishes with different things to eat. These was kimchi, zucchini, bean sprouts, pickled radishes and another dish I don't know the name of and a dish of rice. It was all delicious. I loved being able to grill my own meat at the table to my desired doneness. We at a lot of meat and even ordered a second round though we overestimated the size of our stomachs. It seemed like we got a bigger portion of chicken and bulgogi the second round so had a lot more to eat. We did our best to make a dent I. All the food and left very full and happy. It is all you can eat but be mindful they do charge $10 surcharge for excess cooked or uncooked food at the table, so order in moderation and don't fill up on the rice. One of the best dining experiences I've had this year!!!

Yelp
Went here with some friends last night! Had such a fun time! It was pretty packed for a Sunday evening but we got seated after like 15 mins of waiting which wasn't bad. We did the premium AYCE and a pancake. Everything we got tasted delicious! They came and changed our grill a couple times during it which was nice. The sauces were great, my favorite was the soy bean one. They had metal chopsticks. The rice cakes were also amazing! I would totally come back. They did seem understaffed as we had to track down waiters to get some refills on water, but no big deal.

Yelp
We took my best friend who came from Canada , here. The restaurant was very clean, the service were very fast and the food was the best with very good quality. We really enjoyed our time there and we definitely will go back. The 3.5 star at the beginning scared me a little ! But after I went I saw , that is far from reality! This place deserve 5 star .

Yelp
One of the best Korean bbq in Portland! Highly recommend the pork belly everything. Place gets full fast so come early. Awesome staff too.

Teresa N.

Yelp
As the other reviewers say, service is complete ASS!! You never get checked on, or to get a refill. And you just end up wasting time because you're waiting to have service. It was our first time and I stated that to the girl server. And she didn't explain anything to us. She just handed me a laminated sheet and walked away. Even when we sat down first. Someone else a table away got serviced really fast. They got waters and sides before us. I don't think that was fair and it rubbed us the wrong way. Food is alright, I think the quality is alright for what you get. I say K-Town KBBQ is better in quality and service. The Galbi at this establishment is basically bones. So it wasn't really worth getting it again. Ambiance is okay. Overall we won't be returning here. If you're wanting kbbq I would say save your money and go elsewhere. Save yourself the hassle and time eating here.

Yelp
We were excited to eat some BBQ to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, but the service here definitely diminished since the last time I came here in Nov. 2020. We had to flag down a waiter 2-3 times because they didn't even walk by or look at our table. I even had to get up to ask a waitress for something since no one came by, but all she did was look at me without a response. She did come to our table later though. The side dishes were... interesting. Apparently they have some kind of macaroni salad now? It didn't really match the BBQ style and seemed very "Americanized." We ordered the Premium Package B for $29.95 per person. The LA Galbi and honey chicken were really good, but it would've been so much more delicious with authentic side dishes! The grill got very burnt often and they don't come back to change it unless you ask! A bit disappointed in the service today, although the food was delicious, it gets a bit annoying to try and flag people down. They weren't even that busy, but there was no one in sight for a long time.

Stanley G.

Yelp
The food resembles Korean food, but does it taste like Korean food? It's a stretch, and a restaurant that can't make a decent kimchi soup should be regarded with suspicion. Kkoki is best known for its $27+ per person AYCE grilled meat fest. It's OK at best. The rest of the menu should be dismissed: it's bland and mediocre. Service at Kkoki? What service? We had to get up and go find a server to ask for drinks, to ask for napkins, to ask for more kimchi, to ask for the bill, and to pay. Embarrassing. The waitstaff? Remarkably Vietnamese or Caucasian. Did they know anything about the food they're serving? Not really. Did they care? Not really. Where are the Koreans? Your fourth best option for Korean food...in the same intersection. Just eat elsewhere.

Peachie C.

Yelp
It's a hit and miss. Who doesn't love korean bbq...the quality of meats are good, can't go wrong with the banchan but the things threw me off....the garlic pork belly or other garlic items, literally a few slabs of pok belly or meat with garlic powder thrown over them, not mixed in or marinated in anything else...we got the corn cheese, though delicious definitely not worth $8 for a layer of canned corn and cheese.

Teri C.

Yelp
I thought the food was very good, outstanding service! The portions are big and very flavorful.

Yelp
Always a bit of a line to get in but once we do we do not regret it. Really good selection of meat. Kpop plays in the background which makes it really fun. Servers are reallly friendly. Service could be a tad faster though. But great place to ear

Yelp
Summary: a la cart or AYCA. Nice clean place with good portion. Bulgogi and spicy pork are good. Great portion and tasty. Chicken gang Jeong is good. Japchae- kids fav. Sooduboo - ok.

Yelp
Very good Korean BBQ! My Bf and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was not very busy. They had very good standard meats available. The staff was attentive. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant in the area this is the place!

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing. Eaten there a couple times now and it's been great each and every time. Try to avoid trying to walk in during dinner time as it can be quite a wait. We go early and are sat pretty quick. Great selection of veggies, meat options and beverages. Their soju is pretty refreshing. The fans they use for the smoke work much better than other KBBQ places I've eaten at. The waiters/waitresses are always kind and answer any questions you may have.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and I've left satisfied for the most part but my biggest complaint is the meat quality. I think the best meat option is the beef Bulgogi only. My boyfriend and I ordered the brisket and once cooked, it was so tough and chewy. TMI but I even had to spit it out a few times because it was that bad. We also ordered the spicy pork Bulgogi and it was mostly fat so we didn't even bother cooking most of it. The beef bulgogi was the better option of the 3 meats we ordered - seasoned well and the meat was tender. I'll say that there are a lot of protein options to choose from and they break it off into 3 different price tiers based off of which items you choose. 'Standard' being the cheapest at $25/$26 per person. I can't remember what the other price tiers were but the price does increase with each tier. We arrived around 6:40pm on a Thursday night and we were seated immediately. The crowd definitely picked up after though so a few parties had to wait. Service was actually attentive and I appreciated how the workers would check in periodically even if you didn't ring your bell. Kkoki is located in a pretty spacious plaza so it's easy to find parking in the lot.

Yelp
We decided to come here after going to their Beaverton location. The Beaverton location was good but not Ayce and slightly expensive. We hoped that their meats were the same as the ones at the other location. And the pork belly is!! It is the same good pork belly so I was very happy. Their Bulgogi here was a little inconsistent. The first order's marinate was a little bland. The second orders was much better. The pork jowl was not seasoned so i recommend dipping in their sauce. The brisket was very nice, the quality of meat was good. Overall, would recommend and come back again.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Korean BBQ for quite a while so when my friend came from out of town to visit, I knew she'd be the perfect person to do it with! She LOVES Korean BBQ and was able to give me all the tips and tricks to make it a good foodie experience. There were 3 of us and we all got the supreme package of AYCE. From there we got bulgogi, pork belly, squid, garlic shrimp, cross cut beef short ribs, and boneless beef short ribs. We did get a couple other dishes to share with the proteins which included chicken gangjeong and japchae. We also ordered soju and saparro to drink. This was my first time having soju and it was AMAZING. I think the food was pretty good. My favorite was the short ribs and bulgolgi. The two reasons I have to give this spot 3 stars is it was SO smokey. No ones vents were on and it was really hard to finish enjoying our meal when it got packed. And just like most reviews you read here... the service is indeed SO SLOW. Slower than any restaurant I've been ever to. My friend is from LA and lives in K-Town. She eats A LOT of Korean BBQ. She had mentioned that service is normally super quick and she was shocked herself at how slow it was. They do have a call button that you can use to have a server come over. It didn't do much for us though, one time we had to press it 3 times (within a 25 minute span) to get someone to come over. Anyways. I'll be back but will also be checking out the other Korean BBQ spots Portland has to offer! I do think this spot is worth a shot because the food was good, but service... not so much.

Yelp
Ummm, not worth the wait. We waited 1.5 hours and I'm still thinking that we would've had a satisfying dinner at the Popeye's down the street. For dinner we really wanted to get AYCE Korean BBQ. We attempted to go to another Korean restaurant nearby, but learned that for the three of us it would've been an hour. Therefore, we landed at Kkoki Korean BBQ. When we arrived to Kkoki on a Saturday around 6:30pm, we put our name on the list and there were only three parties ahead of us. We were told that it wouldn't be too long for three of us to get in since the parties ahead of us were larger. Sweet. But half an hour turned into 45 minutes then 45 minutes turned into an hour and you get the idea. My friend and I had to drive back to Seattle, so said that if we didn't get in by 8pm, we were gonna bail since the drive back is gonna be lattttte. They called us in right at 8pm! The restaurant was packed. We were escorted to a table with one grill, which worked out fine for the three of us. There were three AYCE options, ranging in price. For more selection it's $35 and for the least amount it's $25, which is what we did. You can also get a 35oz. pitcher of soju for $15. Sweet. We ordered a range of meats, as they only allow three different meats at once. For the first round we ordered the thin beef, pork belly and garlic chicken. For the second round we tried the spicy pork, spicy chicken and more thin beef. We were also provided unlimited banchan, which was good. I liked the kimchi and fish cakes the most. We were each given our own bowl of rice. The meats weren't bad, but they were A-OK. Not the best quality of meat, but it was tasty enough. Of everything we ordered I liked the beef the best. It was also the fastest to cook, as the other meats were thickly cut, so took some time to grill. The scissors came in handy! I would not wait an hour and a half again for Kkoki. It's good for like, a 30-minute wait if you really want some AYCE Korean BBQ, especially at an affordable price. But I have a feeling Popeye's would've been better and we would've been back home in Seattle a lottt earlier.

Yelp
Amazing! We have been in multiple times now on weekdays and weekends and everytime the place is great! If you want a lot of good meat at a low price this is your place. Currently, 2021, their lowest BBQ option is $26 per person. With it you get to select 3 meats on the menu and once you're done with those you get 3 more until you're full or 2 hrs is up. The meat is really good, as is the steamed eggs, veggies and tteokbokki. It is a bit loud but in the booths you can hear those in your group. I do want to note on weekends and later in the evenings there is a bit of a wait for a seat and you may have to push the call button twice when they are packed but honestly, the staff is always great and will help you out the best they can. Highly suggest!

Yelp
We had a nice dinner out on a Sunday evening. We went a la carte since we wanted to try a bit more than BBQ, and I'm glad we did. The flavors were great (though honestly I think KTown in the same strip mall may have better flavors). Service was friendly.

Yelp
If you're going with a group this place is absolutely delightful. Their soju cocktails were super delicious and they didn't shy on the bonchan. They were super nice since I had a big group and weren't annoyed when we kept asking for refills on meat and sides. I would definitely come again!

Yelp
meats seem a little better in quality and taste but other than that, nothing special about this kbbq place vs others. service can be subpar sometimes but i've noticed it just depends on who your server is. like any kbbq place, if you plan to drink soju or any alcohol, i'd advise doing so prior to eating unless you want to pay double the price for soju.

Yelp
Edible but overpriced and lacking flavor. We only had the soups and not the bbq which looked better but didn't feel great paying for meh food. Wouldn't return.

Yelp
Before stepping foot in the door, I turned to Yelp to find the tragic reviews of this place. As a rule of thumb, usually Asian restaurants with bad service are the most authentic/tasty, so my friend and I decided to give this place a shot. The service was indeed very slow, but the worst part is that they didn't bring out any dipping sauces for us or change the grill plate even once. I have never experienced this at any other Korean BBQ place that I've been to! They also utilize a paper system for ordering meats and a buzzer system that is ineffective.

Yelp
Surprising still pretty busy during covid. We had a party of 6 and were able to seat fairly quickly. The waitresses were really nice and quick with service despite having to accommodate so many requests from multiple tables. The room felt lively with your typical kpop music playing in the background and on the monitors. They were showing sports on another monitor so defiantly was a nice place to eat and chill. For an AYCE kbbq, the meats all felt pretty good quality. They were marinated well and tender. We really liked the galbi pork and the spicy pork. The cheapest package is A and costs $24.95 per person but all the meats on it are really good. The constructive criticism I had was the pace. They seemed to rush us a little bit. Everytime they brought the meats out, they would put all of it on your grill immediately. Typically, we like to eat at our own pace to keep the cooked meat more fresh. This resulted in all the food getting finished at once and inherently sitting around. Other than that, we really enjoyed the meal and experience and would recommend anyone to going here for the AYCE.

Yelp
Quite subpar for the experience and price point... I didn't expect to use a tabletop propane grill at a Korean barbecue restaurant and have to worry about the open flame and slipping pan. I would have done that at home if I knew this was what I was getting. The meats, even the most plain, are quite expensive for what you get and not all you can eat either. Other Korean barbecue places have nicer ambiences, attentive staff, and not tabletop propane grills. Take a chance elsewhere

Yelp
We love Kkoki BBQ when we are in Portland. They are not stingy with their meat or side dishes. The service is on point and their staff is always on top of everything. Our side dishes were constantly refilled by our server. I tell everyone to try Kkoki if they want great KBBQ in Portland area.

Yelp
"What kind of restaurant makes you cook your own food?" - Bob Harris (Bill Murray), Lost in Translation Answer: the best kind! Oh my goodness, why has it taken me so long to go back to a Korean barbecue restaurant? This place is phenomenal! All-you-can-eat Korean BBQ for 50 bucks (two adults) is a pretty amazing deal, especially considering the variety of options at your disposal. We had the miso pork belly, bulgogi, shrimp, short ribs, and a few other items, including a bottle of citrus shochu. Each cut of meat was perfectly lean, thin and not too fatty, marbled excellently in the case of both the pork and the ribs. The servers were very efficient and attentive, and even assisted us when we stumbled through a few things I forgot how to do properly. And if you don't like the cooking, you only have yourself to blame! Kkoki is among the best options outside of some family restaurants in Beaverton. I didn't realize how much I missed Korean BBQ, so we will be back MUCH sooner then later.

Yelp
We recently visited Portland and tried out this kbbq spot. It was alright. I thought it was a bit on the pricey side. They didn't offer any rice paper which I believe is a staple to any kbbq place. The kimchi and other sides weren't that great. 7.99 for corn cheese. Service was okay, meat quality was decent. I don't think I would come back here again.

Yelp
Meat was very good, high quality, the other dishes we got (kimchi soup) super delicious and the ambience is good as well. But it is not buffet like others mentioned.

Yelp
Waited 45 minutes for a table, so it's gotta be great, NO. Some of the worse Korean food I've had in a long time. Our order was taken by one person, order brought by another and we had to ask for our sides. We also had to ask for the check. First and last time here.

Yelp
Usually don't have a bad experience at this place since I come here every so often with my friends. One night in particular I came with my family of 10 and there might have been some miscommunication with the staff that made the experience near the end not the best. 4 people from my party arrived first and I had told the host that I was waiting for 6 more people and did not want to start the AYCE option until everyone arrived because of the 2 hour limit they had. The host proceeded to say it was ok if we sat at the table and waited for the rest of our party. After the 4 of us got seated, one of the waiter came over and asked if we would like any beverages. I asked the waiter if our AYCE timer (2 hour limit) will start after we ordered our beverages. He informed us that the 2 hour timer does not start until after we put in our first food order. We proceeded to order drinks. 30 mins later the rest of my party arrived and we put in our first AYCE food order. After an hour into our meal, we had another waitress come tell us that we were at our last call and that our time was up. I informed them that we had only been eating an hour and that last call should be at least closer to the 2 hour mark which they even have notated on their menus. The waitress proceeded to argue with me that our time started when we ordered our beverages but I told her that the other waiter that took our order for beverages told us the time does not start until after we put in our first food order. There was some back in forth until another waitress came over and told us we would be able to have our full 2 hours of the AYCE. It wasn't a great experience that the wait staff had mixed information for us and then in the end it looked like we were in the wrong. It got resolved in the end but maybe they need to tell all their staff the same information regarding when the 2 hour time limit starts. Other than that I enjoy the AYCE KBBQ here. Good selection of items and a fun experience to try a variety of items. You are able to order 3 different food items for the AYCE at once. The service isn't the fastest and sometimes the wait staff forgets things you ask for even after asking for them multiple Times. One thing I do really like about this kbbq verses others is that at some of their tables they have the air exhaust comes all the way down to the grill so you don't end up smelling too much like food or smoke after the meal.
