I got the Soma(grilled cheese). Looks great and have a lot of chess. Not expensive considering it's in the airport. Take off one star because there's no butter on the sandwich which is important for a grilled cheese.

Having lived in San Francisco for most of my life and several years in New York, I was excited to see Klein’s Deli (of Potrero) on SFO T3. The Castro Sando I got was: roast beef and turkey meats, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, tomato and pickle with Klein sauce. It was simple and okay! Reminds me of school sandwiches! 🥪 Comforting in a way!

Google
The most basic, boring sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Like one that came out of a vending machine. Flavor isn’t there. Too much bread (or not enough stuffing). It doesn’t taste horrendous, I was able to finish it. It is at best a somewhat mediocre sandwich. Not a bad price for Airport food, I see why now, but… it just tastes SO plain even though it looked kind of good. I got the Calvin (I think). It’s roast beef, turkey, pickles, tomato, lettuce, and “klein sauce”. Sounded so good. Bottom line: You would legitimately be better off at a small kiosk buying a pre made sandwich for half the price. Go here if you need food and there’s no line and you are late for your flight. Lovely customer service though, everyone was very nice. Sort of sorry to give the bad review.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent deli sandwiches and super quick service if trying to grab a bite and catch a flight!

Google
Great taste of egg salad croissant sandwich and late with oat milk was perfection. Highly recommend before your flight ✈️

Google
I wanted to Castro (14.95) without the turkey. She said i would have to do a custom sandwich. If I did that it would be 13.95 + 2.00 for cheese. So it's more expensive to leave off an ingredient? The portions of meat are measly anyways. On top of that they only use one knife (it's locked to their cutting board) so she used the same knife to cut my meat to cut my wife's veggie sandwich. Health department should check that one out... Definitely avoid if you have allergies.

Google
My go-to sandwich spot in this airport for years - and the only airport sandwich spot I always look forward to going to. They’re quick, you get to choose your ingredients, and if you ask for avocado, because it’s California, they give you lots of nice fresh avocado. I think I’ll go there now!

Google
If you need a quick and tasty breakfast or sandwich before your flight, this is a good option. There was a line but it moved very quickly. I was very impressed how quickly they had my sandwich out. It was good too!

Yelp
Good spot at SFO for healthy options. I got the custom turkey Swiss, veggies, on wheat. It was very fresh, healthy, and generous portions. Taste wise, it was nothing really special, mostly because it was healthy. So it's not their fault, but other sandwich spots with the same sandwich seen tastier. Over, I will be back.

Yelp
Klein's Deli is a standard airport deli with a good variety of options at moderate prices. There was the typical airport ambiance. The line moved quickly, and the service was average--efficient but nothing memorable. I was looking for something small, so I went with the breakfast bagel. The bagel itself was fluffy, and there was a generous amount of egg. They offer add-ons like cheese and bacon/ham for an extra charge, and I appreciated the option to choose my bagel type. With airport pricing, my plain egg bagel sandwich came out to $12, which felt a bit steep for what it was. It was decent, but I expected some seasoning or condiments to enhance the flavor. The sandwich was quite plain, and I didn't notice any available condiments to add. Overall, it was a typical airport food experience--convenient but nothing to go out of your way for.

Yelp
I ordered an iced mocha and got a plate of veggies/hummus at Klein's deli, the veggies were fresh and delicious and the coffee was INCREDIBLE. A perfect mix of coffee and chocolate. Not to mention, the staff was so charming and sweet, it made my airport experience such a treat

Yelp
Thanks to Mercy for the tastiest North Beach sandwich and for her cheerful service! Nice end to a long day at SFO!

Yelp
Located in United Terminal 3 near our boarding gate F16. They've got great deli sandwiches. The sandwiches are named after select San Francisco neighborhoods. What we ordered- * hubby went with the Fillmore comprised of pastrami, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, on rye. Toasted hot, * daughter & I with the North Beach. Comprised of salami, black forest ham, mozzarella, pepperoni, lettuce tomato on french roll. The sandwiches are moderately portion sized but satisfying. Klein also offers pastries and coffee.

Yelp
I've been craving this specific sandwich combo for a few days so I was happy to see Klein's had it on their menu. The pesto tasted super fresh and the grilled chicken wasn't chewy. It's a pretty big sandwich too, i finished the remaining half on the plane. The staff was helpful and quick. The fridge had non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks available. I got an apple juice and water.

Yelp
It's a deli. It's decent food for airport. Couldn't find any gluten-free options. They don't seem to care so I don't eat here. It's OK.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
a pretty mid breakfast sandwich, it was pretty dry in general and the bacon was hard. it was basically overpriced (I mean, expected for an airport but it didn't taste good either)

Yelp
I ate at this Klein's Deli in the San Francisco airport terminal 3, and it was such a delight to have a light and healthy option while traveling. I got the mission sandwich which was loaded with avocado and their special sauce. It's such a great cold sandwich! The meat and veggies tasted fresh and the bread was the perfect texture. I love that they carry the "Dirty" deli style potato chips and that they had my favorite flavor - Maui onion. It's definitely a nice spot for a quick sandwich while traveling!
google avatar

Lyn L.

Yelp
For an airport deli, I thought the food was reasonably priced and quite good! All too often, sandwiches are waaay overpriced but Kleins was great! The people there were very polite and service was excellent! I'd definitely stop there anytime I'm in SFO

Yelp
Never again. The service here has continually gone downhill over the last few years, while the prices keep increasing. The guys making the sandwiches are extremely rude to the customers. Same with the cashiers. When I was there a few days ago (July 2024), a guy who spoke no English was trying to buy a fruit cup or something and didn't understand anything the cashier was telling him. After he finally figured out how to pay with cash, he took the cup and the top flew off (obviously not on tight) and everything spilled on the floor. The cashier didn't offer to get him another, she just ignored it and the poor guy walked away after paying and getting nothing because he didn't know what to do. I'm still kicking myself for not intervening. I was so pissed off from my own experience at this point I just wanted to get away from there, but I should have helped him. The coffee tasted disgusting, like cleaning fluid. Couldn't drink it. Over $20 for a breakfast bagel sandwich and undrinkable coffee. The bar is pretty low in an airport, but for sure, I'm never stopping here again.

Yelp
Super decent visit here and will absolutely return- portions are big, food and drink are delicious, and it was quick considering they made everything fresh. I did the Nob Hill, a hot sandwich, and added egg to make it a breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend It's a little pricey, but that's airport food for you. Do note they add a 5% charge onto your order for employee benefits.

Yelp
Quick little two hour layover went to Klein's Deli for an avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato sourdough. The staff was friendly and professional, and made my sandwich quickly with fresh avocado with big chunks oozing out as I ate it. Big chunks of perfectly cooked bacon and fresh condiments on toasted sourdough side of thick cut kettle chips to complete my order a little over $20. Located in terminal E it's near gate six. The restaurant was nice and fresh and brightly lit very clean with all the fresh ingredients right in front of me. Perfect sandwich before my next flight back to Cleveland, Ohio.

Yelp
Solid breakfast sandwich! I got an egg and cheese sandwich on a sesame bagel. Bagel was tasty, but the eggs especially were really fluffy and delicious. It all tasted super fresh and was served hot. Also grabbed a hot coffee, which was a straightforward drip. The coffee wasn't watery at all, and had a nice bold flavor. You can add in your own dairy and the counter across from the register. Service was quick and straightforward. They offer other sandwiches, snacks and drinks including alcohol. I thought this was a great pitstop in the SFO airport. Bonus that there wasn't a line compared to some of the other coffee shops in the terminal.

Yelp
I had this sandwich like 10 PM at night. I was starving so I didn't really expect much. But what a Gem! I didn't even think much so I picked the first one from the top left, but all ingredient was so fresh!

Manuel C.

Yelp
Great sandwiches, love the option of hot or cold, pretty fast and friendly service, would definitely come back

Yelp
My review is for coffee and a pastry. My cappuccino was quite good. Good coffee beans, well prepared, bold and flavorful, not bitter nor burnt. My morning bun pastry was delicious. I placed my order online via QR code, which was quick. Two minutes later my ordr.er was ready. I doubt you can find better coffee at the airport.

Yelp
Love these sandwiches. The staff is always friendly. This place usually busy but worth the wait. My to go to is the Mission Signature Sandwich. Highly recommended it!!
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Why is this place rated lower. I love Klein's for a lox bagel and a latte. It's my go-to anytime I'm looking for breakfast in T3. The lox bagel is pretty simple as in bagel, cream cheese, capers, and onions. Maybe tomatoes too, but I don't usually get that. They are pretty heavy on the cream cheese, but the capers and onions are pretty light. I would say the only ask I have was if there were more capers and onions. Otherwise, it's pretty quick to order and jet. I ordered on their Kiosk instead of ordering online, but you can also order online so that it's even ready sooner.

Yelp
The sandwiches from Klein's deli at SFO are quite good. I've had several varieties and also custom made sandwiches from here. They are large, and if you're not super hungry, could be shared. The service is good and pretty quick considering it's usually very busy! I almost look forward to my sandwich at the airport LOL
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
I had a turkey sandwich that was very delicious. Service was fast, no complaints from me. It's a good option for food quality sandwiches in the airport.
google avatar

Scott J.

Yelp
A go-to in the United terminal. Good quality, generally friendly service (though sometimes a bit rushed). Quality ingredients. One of the few tuna sandwiches I trust besides my own. Prices are typical airport (as in: ouch). They have options for various dietary preferences and restrictions. If you're getting on a flight and are not likely to receive a full meal in business class, snatching a sandwich at Klein's is an excellent strategy, especially in this day of unpredictable delays.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Decent sandwiches as going airport-rate prices. Had the Veggie Breakfast sandwich. Could use more seasoning/flavor. Also got the chicken salad with mango chutney. That one was tastier. Service was good. Airport ambiance. Noisy, crowded, but at least they have their own seats with power outlets!
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
I like the sandwiches at Klein's Deli. The food is always fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is nice and clean. I appreciate the staff who is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend visiting this place.

Yelp
I had a really good customer service experience here. Efficient and friendly, which was a pick me up right before a red eye flight. My order was tomato soup and their egg sandwich. So grateful! :)
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
My burger was burnt. $25+ for a burnt burger. The cook was taking to a customer while my burger burnt!
google avatar

Jay H.

Yelp
This sandwich shop is located in SFO Airport. Customer service is excellent, and the restaurant is open and clean. I had the Haight, a BLT on sourdough and mayo. This sandwich saw so good I bought two. Enjoy
google avatar

Dallas T.

Yelp
The coffee is very good. The cinnamon roll was basic. I was not impressed by the service that was trying to rush the order by asking me what I wanted while the customer in front of me was still needing help at the counter. I told her I could wait for the gentleman in front of me to finish his transaction but she was still pursuing my order. I felt uncomfortable.

Yelp
The Embarcadero is one of my all-time favorite sandwiches. I used to work at this location and had the chance to try almost everything on the menu. Now, whenever I travel, I always look forward to enjoying my favorite Embarcadero sandwich from here.
google avatar

Sonila S.

Yelp
I had the mission sandwhich while waiting for my plane to start boarding. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious and hit the spot. Paired it with some jalapeños chips. They were quick and helpful. I recommend you have a sandwhich here while waiting for your plane :)
google avatar

Yelp
I don't have pictures but I've been getting the most amazing Cobb salads from Klein during my recent trips to San Francisco. The service is quick for those I'm a pinch. I'll definitely visit in the future. A quick tip there are two lines:one for those who want a made to order sandwich and one for those who want to grab and go. Folks always seem puzzled and end up waiting in the wrong line for their order. It's a good idea to ask, especially if you're crunched for time.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
The sandwiches here are yummy. My fave is the mission with extra pepper jack cheese on wheat bread! Ann always helps me and she's always so nice even when it's busy! This place is our go-to every time we are on this side of the terminal.
google avatar

Anderson D.

Yelp
I got the Embarcadero, but found myself checking out with a $17(!!!!) dollar charge. This is prohibitively expensive. It's a decent sandwich, but SF needs to calm down on the pricing... c'mon now

Alicson M.

Yelp
Terrible. 18 dollars for bland sandwich at sfo airport. And person working did not speak English
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
I had the Nob Hill sandwich and it was simply perfection! It was made with the perfect balance of vegetables, cheese and ciabatta bread! It deserved an applause!
google avatar

Kemberlyn R.

Yelp
Love that they have a express line if you are just ordering coffee. Their coffee station is well put and service is pretty quick.
google avatar

Rich H.

Yelp
**Warning** Do not use the contactless ordering. We used it since the line was really long. After I realized that people that got in line after us were getting their food, I asked about our food. They had never picked it up off the printer. What a waste of time. Food was alright. Always overpriced but isn't everything in SF?
google avatar

Maria B.

Yelp
best sandwiches ever we love the blt aka the haight quick, friendly, fresh ingredients,
google avatar

Yelp
Food is the best in the SFO terminal. Grab and go, you're good for 5+ hour flight. A cookie for an energy blast on La do g is a bonus.
google avatar

Barnabus S.

Yelp
Great sandwiches always. Fresh and made to order. Good service and hard workers. Nice culture of service to the customer v

Yelp
I love everything at this place. It's my little tradition to show up 20 min early so I can get a drink and the breakfast or Marina sandwich before I fly. I often get the Cobb salad to eat on the plane. Today however Kishori went above and beyond. I left my credit card in the machine and she came to the adjacent gate to find me and bring me the card back. She was so nice about it and wouldn't take a tip or me buying her anything! So now Klein's has my loyalty for good not just for the food but their kind employee.
google avatar

Stephen R.

Yelp
I visit Kleins nearly every trip, but I'm providing some feedback today. Two items that would result in a 5 star review and keep me coming back for years. Optional and consistently available included capers (not for $0.75 extra) and sustainable lox. (No capers were available today and often arent available. When they are, they upcharge 75cents which seems like a lot).
google avatar

Karen Y.

Yelp
This review is for the location in terminal 3 in the united concourse. There is a coffee shop right next to it where you can order a drink with your food. This deli isn't a terrible choice for airport dining, but there's certainly room for improvement. The Potrero Hill sandwich has chicken salad, mango chutney, raisins, almonds, and more interesting tidbits. The bread isn't toasted so it gets rather soggy with the wet interior ingredients (like the chutney); it becomes limp. The flavor of the chutney is mild and not very spicy, but more sweet and sour. The texture of the other ingredients is crunchy and keeps each mouthful interesting. The price is exorbitant but unfortunately normalized for airport food; this small sandwich is $16.
google avatar

Nadia R.

Yelp
Perfect sandwhich shop right next to my gate. Order the chicken pesto mozzarella on ciabatta. Bread was soft and sad which had the perfect amount of each ingredient. Great inflight meal 10/10
google avatar

Susan T.

Yelp
Sandos are amazing! Service quick! Great for plane ride. We eat half after takeoff and other half before we land. Carved turkey and corn beef are favs!
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
Good and interesting variety of hot and cold take out only andwiches. Prompt friendly service.

Darlene G.

Yelp
I travel 2-3 weeks per month, and my favorite sandwich place at SFO is Klein's. I've loved their Embarcadero sandwich for years. It's been my go to well before COVID. However, for at least a month their oven has been broken at the Kleins by the F Gates. Which basically means half their sandwich menu is unavailable--all the hot sandwiches. How hard is it to get the oven fixed? A month is far too long. The staff is very nice, but let's ensure they have the equipment needed to delight your customers.
google avatar

Josh I.

Yelp
Always quick & friendly service & consistently good food! It's my go-to when I'm at this airport
google avatar

Yelp
I had just flown 14 hours from Australia, and stopped at Klein's during my layover in SFO. The sandwich and coffee were fresh and delicious and the workers were incredibly kind and upbeat. Great atmosphere, great food, can't recommend enough.
