Google
Honestly, not impressed. I got a cannoli and some turnovers. I should have known since the cannoli was prefilled that it wasn’t going to be good. Lacked flavor and was soggy. The turnover was okay, I could only eat half of it as the jam was incredibly sweet and just tasted artificial and not great. I know a lot of people like this place, and now I know it’s not for me. Staff was great, observant and ready to take orders and were friendly.

Google
Just absolutely Yummy! So glad to have stumbled across this gem. Their breakfast sandwich is delicious, the bread roll is so soft and fresh. Let’s talk about the donuts, 10/10! I look forward to trying more pastries from here!

Was so excited about this, but I don’t understand the hype. We got a bakers dozen and an Apple Fritter for 26 dollars. The doughnuts were stale, all tasted the same (derogatory) and crumbled immediately with human touch. The fritters was good but it has apples in it so you can’t go wrong. In the bakeries defense we waited a few hours after but they were beyond just a few hours. Would give them another shot in the morning but hopes aren’t high no offense

My great grandmother was 1 of the original owners of Klemms Bakery in Danvers. Ma way back in the 1960s. She was a strict , but loveable German lady who only provided top quality baked goods and customer service to her patrons. I am her 56 year old great granddaughter who has continued to support Klemms Bakery over the years in NH. I have always loved there baked goods and there is nothing like the German chocolate used in their Boston Cream Pie. My greatgrandmother Willimenia Klemm would be ashamed and disgusted with my most recent experience with her beloved bakery. I spent close to $20 on 2 bags of baked goods; chocolate chip cookies and hermits. I made thus purchase the Friday before Labor Day weekend in hopes of sharing some delicious Klemms baked goods with my husband's side of the family while visiting in CT. That evening we couldn't wait, so my husband and I broke open both bags to only discover, dry, stale, hard as rock s cookies and hermits. They were way worse than the day old section at Market Basket Bakery. Wheni I called to share my experience, not only did they put me on hold for nearly 10 minutes, when I connected with a "supervisor " and explained my experience and frustration given the cost, my tipping and my intention for the treats. she offered no apology, told me to bring back the items that were not eaten(over a holiday weekend) and that hermits were made fresh that morning. I then further explained my frustration given my family history and the fact that my greatgrandmother would never ever put poor quality baked goods out for sale and ask a customer to bring back inedible items on any day, large alone a holiday weekend. After I gave her my feedback she said she was not am inexperienced teenager and that I was incredibly rude. She took my name and phone # and told me next t time I'm in NH she woukd provide a refund. I didn't like her tone or her lack of customer appreciation and service. I'm no rookie in the world of baked goods. So I asked for her name and she HUNG UP ON ME! IM SORRY GRAMMY KLEMM thar your legacy has now turned into crap. Klemms isn't only incredibly overpriced, it does notf have any of the authenticity my greatgrandmother brought to all customers. I'm asking customers to rethink their purchases here. If you need a nice birthday cake take the time and order from ICIzNG ON THE CAKE in Newton. Ma . I promise you it will be well worth your trip for both quality and customer relations. If you need other baked goods, please go to Fredricks Pasteries in Amherst NH. The baked goods there are in an entirely different class than Klemm s with both taste and visual presentation All of their desserts are absolutely beautiful and have been huge hits at our family functions. More so forr my greatgrandmother than myself. I will never purchase another edible item from Klemms Bakery. They don't give a crap about people and. only want your money and are an absolute disgrace amongst their competitors in the wonderful world of sweets. I really hope this review saves many people from the stress, aggrivation. and extreme disappointment I experienced over a holiday weekend. They lost a steady customer over $20 and inedible, STALE treats. Save gour money, taste buds and stomach by selecting another bakery!

Google
Everything you need for baked goods is here. They even have quiche pies of all sorts. Pies, cakes, wedding cakes, birthday cakes, cookies, canolis, scones of many varieties, breads, rolls, carrot cake squares, pie slices I've never even heard of. They also have breakfast sandwiches! I love this place!!!

Google
It’s such a shame that the service is so terrible because the food is excellent. I’ve been in here multiple times when no one even comes up to the counter or acknowledges your existence for quite a while. I think almost 20 minutes to get a doughnut is a little excessive. After over 15 minutes this morning I finally just had to leave because I have an appointment to get to.

Ariel S.

Google
Absolutely delicious! We had a hankering for doughnuts, and Klemm's did not disappoint. Fast and friendly service, delicious doughnuts, and an excellent price.

Virginia M.

Google
Klemms did such a beautiful job on my son and daughter-in-laws baby cake! 2 layers, vanilla cake with raspberry filling, absolutely delicious! The women in the front were very friendly and the entire experience was great.💜

Yelp
I'm so lucky to live near Klemm's Bakery! They have the best doughnuts in New Hampshire. And now they've made the spookiest custom birthday cake! When I picked it up on a Saturday morning, they were packed and everyone who saw the cake ooohed and ahhhed. The tight quarters in the bakery facilitate a friendly camaraderie among customers. I'm disabled and the person leaving at the same time as me offered to carry my cake to my car for me! Note that Klemm's doesn't have a website, so you need to make a phone call or visit in person to place orders.
google avatar

Brian -.

Yelp
They definitely live up to their donut reputation! Hands down a big hit at the office!

Maria L.

Yelp
I went here to get some birthday donuts, they looked amazing. They tasted great and the service was awesome. Be aware that it is a small shop so if it's busy it will get a little crowded just order and get out to make it easy for everyone! I have to say some of the customers were unkind and did not understand the concept of self-awareness in a crowded environment where everyone's trying to order but the staff is excellent. These are young kids trying to do their job and they're doing great. I wish I remembered the young man's name who helped me, he is taller and had some glasses on. He was very kind and polite even when the boomers in there were being extremely unpleasant.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
A small bakery shop with mini pastries that pack a powerful taste in each little bite. Wish they had more but I know where to go for decadent mini delights for desert.

Erin F.

Yelp
10/10 recommend this Bakery in NH. I called for a last minute cake order for my birthday and they made it happen. My husband picked it up a few hours later and the red velvet cake was moist and fluffy and the cream cheese frosting ... chefs kiss. Will definitely be going back, plus my dog got treats too!

Yelp
Outstanding old school donuts. Irregular shapes, very fresh, bouncy product that still has plenty of life even in the late afternoon. The coffee ain't much, there's nowhere to sit except the nearby rocks, and the pricing is a bit high for basic flavors, but the donut quality is so high that it doesn't matter. Really great stuff. Boston Cream: Sometimes cut in half with the cream done like a sandwich, and sometimes injected. Very soft. Chocolate topping fairly strong chocolate and semi wet. You'll be happy. Jelly Filled Glazed: Much better than the powdered sugar-topped jelly, these have a nice glaze, ample jelly, and a soft vessel. All the plusses of a glazed and a jelly in one. I've had other flavors, all good, but these two are my go-to.
google avatar

Lin M.

Yelp
They have the best cupcakes and donuts. We always get our cupcakes from them. The buttercream frosting is very good and the cake is moist. The donuts are fresh and light ...great with a cup of coffee. We have had some misses when we have ordered cakes. A Carrot cake and A German chocolate. Seems like we did not communicate what we wanted correctly. The cakes were ok but not what we expected. I do not recommend Key Lime Pie that was a fail. They really should have just said we can't do it as it was not listed on menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Klemm's donuts are definitely a must get if your in the area! There donuts are very fresh and have good flavor. BUTTTTT the packaging they put them in when you get a bakers dozen is so small that all the frosting ALWAYSSSSS comes off against other donuts! They squish them in there and frosting is gone and ruins them! GET BIGGER BOXES FOR BAKERS DOZEN! If I'm paying ~$20+ for donuts I want the frosting to stay on themOverall though donuts are good just always disappointed when I get them and frosting falls right off onto other ones and ruined (as shown in picture)
google avatar

Yelp
On Super Bowl Sunday I had a hankering for donuts but not any donuts, I wanted fritters!! I love that Klemm's has two sizes of fritters. The prices aren't too bad and it the service was fast. It's a stable in the area for a reason!

Lucy A.

Yelp
The best fluffy donuts. And cakes super moist t hi k the glazed are my favorite always crowed so you know they are good

Steven S.

Yelp
The honey dipped donuts were. Not too sugary and fresh. I would go there again. They have a great variety. The display wasn't too visible.

Yelp
Dunkin Donuts is junk compared to Klemm's which for me is perhaps the best donut shop in NH. Yes you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a DD in New England which says more about Klemm's that I suffer the trip from Amherst to Derry. I've ordered from Klemm's about 4 or 5 times now before writing this review and they're consistent. Because the trip is a bit of a distance, I usually buy a couple boxes which one would think might be perilous. But do they dry up and taste nasty the next day like Dunkin? NO! These babies are soft for up to a couple days (they're consumed before they stick around any longer). I've ordered donuts, pies, cookies and cakes. All good! Needless to say I'm sold on Klemm's and wish they had other locations to drive out the mediocracy that is DD. I'm getting some Klemm's swag next visit.

Yelp
You can't go wrong at Klemm's Bakery. Donuts, cupcakes and pastries are fantastic. Service is always friendly and very helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Klemm's Bakery has a large selection of bakery items to suit everyone's taste. I chose the vanilla cream filled doughnut with maple frosting. It was a MASSIVE sugar rush and a little too sweet for me. It was tasty nonetheless. The doughnut prices I thought were a little high at $2.29 a piece.

Yelp
Klemm's has a fantastic reputation and for very good reason. They have a way of making every order feel like the most important. On a Wednesday, late morning, I called to place an order on behalf of my company for a large cake to help congratulate a colleague who was promoted. I had a request to have something drawn on the cake, in frosting, and the experts were positive they could deliver. The very next day(!) I went in to pick up the 1/2 sheet of chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. I was absolutely astonished to see the finished result. It was more incredible than we could have ever asked for! The cake was amazing, absolutely delicious, and the perfect finished product. We were blown away and forever grateful. We cannot thank you enough for the expertise and attention to detail. The cake was utterly flawless! Klemm's is the TRUTH!

Ashley R.

Yelp
My kids like the donuts they are soft and fresh, the pies are not great the crust is very bland and tasteless . Cupcakes are good and they offer a large variety of flavors other than that I'm not sure about the other items they look amazing the bakery definitely has a lot to offer as far as variety the selection is extensive. Service is slow and the standing room is extremely limited.

Jessica C.

Yelp
Best! Donuts! Ever! Get there nice and early though, they do sell out of certain flavors as the day goes on. Cannot recommend them enough.
google avatar

Sejal R.

Yelp
Wow. I'm a donut fiend and this place has some of the BEST donuts ever!!! If you like a light fluffy yeast donut come here !!! It's amazingly soft and sweet goodness.
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
They have a decent selection, but I was not impressed with what I received; also, they're incredibly expensive. I got a couple cream horns, dog treats, and cookies. The cookies were pretty run of the mill and the cream horn was super dry. My order came to $25, but there was someone next to me who had an order of 12 mini cupcakes and that came to around $30. Really pricy.
google avatar

Noy C.

Yelp
Great selection of cakes, cookies, doughnuts and various other pastries. Friendly staff and always stocked. One day we'll try everything.
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
The best apple fritters! Light, fluffy, yet crispy, flavorful. I also tried the blueberry fritter, which was really good as well. The apple is the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back again.
google avatar

Yelp
The abundance of fresh selections is overwhelming with regards to donuts. The made to order cakes are very well done and very professional looking. Recently, my gf went in to get deserts for a dinner party. They didn't have any chocolate cream pies in the display case but the person behind the counter offered to make one out back. Sadly, that chocolate cream pie was the only item that has not caused stomach issues in the house. Maybe the deserts are too sweet.... Maybe they use an ingredient such as lard in the donuts we have trouble processing. Not very sure. It is unfortunate; everything tastes so darn good!! Aside from the comments above it would be nice to have a larger selection of coffees, both iced and hot. The place is a stable in the community for the longevity they have been serving out fresh donuts and other desserts.

Yelp
Value:4 sub $2 for a hefty donut Presentation:4 the donuts do look nice and plump and beautiful some are more rustic than others but its not machine made and i love that. Taste:4 some of the best donuts around. Service:3 service was mehh, corona season sign on door says 3 customers at a time... they werent moving the customers quickly enough and being considerate of the line forming outside... Overall:4 the ppl of southern NH speak highly of the donuts here and that's all I have tried from here and they are good they do meet the expectations.

Yelp
3.5/5 ~12:30PM on a Saturday, a few patrons inside Pros: -Inexpensive -Incredibly fresh yeast donuts! Cons: -No seating -- $3.90 for 3 donuts Plain Glazed Donut Yeast glazed donut. This donut was so fresh it nearly fell apart picking it up. The glaze was slightly too sweet. Chocolate Honey Dip Chocolate (?) cake donut coated in glaze. This donut was such a light brown that I wasn't sure if it was actually chocolate. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but the glaze was so thick and sugary that it was overwhelmingly sweet/heavy. I don't think I'd get this one again. Boston Cream Yeast donut cut in half and filled with vanilla custard and topped with chocolate frosting. This donut was pretty small, which is a good thing when you're eating a bunch of other donuts. Just like the plain glazed donut, the dough was incredibly fresh. The custard was pretty standard (not overly sweet) and there wasn't much frosting on top.

Busy L.

Yelp
Was in the area and they are supposedly known for their donuts. I went around 2pm on a Sun and they still had a lot of donuts. Was not impressed. Ordered 1/2 dozen of both raised and cake style and neither was worth the trip again. The yeast raised donuts were tough. Cake donuts tasted very heavy of baking powder. The other items they had did not look appealing to try. Cannolis were prefilled so they would definitely be soggy.

Charlene M.

Yelp
Klemm's staff was absolutely amazing and really stepped up to donate 2 huge boxes of donuts for a prom for the Kimi Nichols Center that I work for. Our clients loved the sweet treats and Klemm's helped make this day extra special for them!
google avatar

Yelp
Fishing weekend up north means trying new donuts! I stopped in New Hampshire for the "best donuts in the state" on my way up to VT. I haven't had a lot of donuts from New Hampshire, but I've certainly had a lot of donuts and these were superb. Tiny place, just a bakery no seating. The only weird thing was the quiche sitting on the top of the counter with nothing covering it. Just asking for old man sneezes as seasoning. 4/5 will donut again.

M M.

Yelp
Great donuts. Small area tho if u want to get your coffee cuz it can get crowded Get there early
google avatar

Alex B.

Yelp
I'm from California, so im used to having access to a variety of the best local foods, treats, etc. But there is nothing like this bakery in Cali. Whatever home-made dessert you want, they some how have it ; pies, bars, donuts, cakes, cream puffs, strudel, cookies, quiche, brownies, coffee cakes. I have this place on top of my list for whenever I go back to New Hampshire!

Yelp
GF has been jonesing for a bismarck like the ones she remembered as a child. Never having had one, and wanting to surprise her for her birthday, I searched for these elusive pastries, saw that someone had posted something about them at a place called Klemm's, so I called the establishment, speaking to a nice woman who told me they were running low that day, but agreed to set a couple aside for me as I had a 1+ hour cross-state drive to retrieve them. They were packaged in a nice old-fashioned pastry box (with string, no less) and waiting for me just as promised. The place was wonderful -- a feast for the eyes. COVID-smart, too-- with high plexiglas over the entire countertop. I also snagged a couple of donuts because the day had a "y" in it. Had a messy but heavenly ride home. Long story short, GF declared the bismarcks to be absolutely perfect, and I came in a close second. Thank you, Klemm's !!

Rose M.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed with a cake that cost $89.99!!! It was like eating cardboard. Horribly small and over frosted. Wasn't worth even $8.99 I asked for a cake for a 21st birthday. It was literally the two number shaped cakes in seperate boxes with a too many un-edible plastic alcohol add ons as decorations. Black frosting and blue frosting stained everything. What the heck were they thinking. I am embarrassed that I recommended your bakery to the women I ordered it for. This is the first time I've had to write a not so good review. Donuts are great, amazing in fact . That cake... not so much.

Genevieve M.

Yelp
We purchased Napoleons from Klemm's for company. When we went to serve them, the pudding inside was TOTALLY frozen . embarrassing and totally unacceptable. I emailed Klemm's an didn't receive a response. will never go back.
google avatar

Trisha H.

Yelp
Donuts are good, however the pre-order service is terrible. When I arrived and wanted to check that the order was correct, they were extremely rude. It is a good thing I did check, because my order was incorrect. Overall, the actual food is great but other than that this establishment has some serious work to do.
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
My wife and I just find their prices to be excessive, charging $10.99 for a half dozen donuts and $18.99 for a dozen. I know that costs of living are not the same as years ago but this is just beyond the scope of reason, compared to what we've seen at other places.
google avatar

Daniel Q.

Yelp
I love glazed donuts. Not the baked ones like you can find at the big chain coffee store masquerading as a donut shop. My favorite until today were Spudnuts. After you have had a spudnut, it is hard to find a donut that comes close. I cannot get spudnuts in my area so I decided to try Klemm's due to the great reviews and awards. I purchased the baker's dozen and brought them home. Their plain glazed donuts are very light, fluffy and the glaze is just right. Perfect! Exactly what I was craving. Just like those spudnuts, the challenge is to not eat too many in one sitting. If you want a great donut, I recommend Klemm's
google avatar

Ian W.

Yelp
The donuts are pretty good here, especially the raspberry cream filled glazed sticks. This small strip plaza bakery (old fashioned goods) also offers turnovers, fruit squares, muffins, scones, brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, baklava, mini desserts & pastries, coffee cakes, breads, rolls, quiche, sheet pizza, and self serve Green Mountain Coffee. Sugar free, low carb and transfat free items are available too. Specialty and custom cakes for special occasions (birthdays, graduations, weddings) available. The prices are reasonable here and there's even a "day old" rack of bakery items ($2.99 or less). Local newspapers on sale here. HOURS: Mon-Sat: 6AM-7PM; Sun: 6AM-6PM, Open Holidays

Yelp
Be prepared when you go in to have stimulation overload. They have hundreds of (maybe even a thousand) different treats. We had no idea from the outside of the shop all that awaited inside. We had made the mistake of stopping at a super tiny bakery down the street earlier in the day, so seeing all Klemm's had to offer was well welcomed. The employees were very friendly and attentive. We got an array of treats; donuts, turnovers, pecan rolls, carrot cake, and cookies. Everything was delicious and the donuts alone are worth a drive back! We had bought a cupcake at the previous bakery which we regretted when we saw the size and variety Klemm's had! I feel the prices were extremely reasonable given the quality and size of each item. I can't wait to go back again and again!
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
My husband and I recently moved to New Hampshire and we were in need of a new donut go to place. This past weekend we went over to Klemm's and got some donuts, cupcakes, a Whoopi pie and loaf of bread. We were floored everything was beyond amazing as we are both bakers we can be hard critics but we have no criticism for Klemms! Everything was so amazing I went back yesterday for more bread and treats for the kids I take care of. This will definitely be our new go to bakery and wee can't wait to try some of their other products!!
google avatar

Amanda H.

Yelp
Amazing donuts, pastries, brownies and cupcakes!! We come all the way from Colorado to make sure we get a TV dinner cake and donuts! My husband grew up out here, and it's such a treat to pick up some every time we visit!!! The Boston crème is insane and the glazed blueberry!! Holy moly!!!!

Maura M.

Yelp
Best lemon donuts eva!! What a delicious treat!

Katie B.

Yelp
Best donuts in NH! It is worth the trip no matter where you live to stop at Klemm's Bakery. My favorite is the glaze and if you get there early enough in the morning you will get them warm. Nothing better than a fresh warm doubt to start your day.

Julie P.

Yelp
Their donuts are the best! They have the best gluten free desserts around. My daughter even eats the gluten free desserts and loves them.

Ellyse K.

Yelp
Klemm's Bakery never disappoints! Their desserts are always amazing and the Apple fritters are to die for. If I'm ever in the area I always stop in to treat myself!

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME The absolute worst bakery I've ever been to with even worse customer service. Was told bagels were made fresh daily... When my husband picked them up and brought them home they were hard as rocks, clearly old frozen bagels. Even in inside of the bagel was stale. I called the bakery and asked to speak to a manager, the response I got was "it's just a hard bagel, tell her I'll call her back I'm busy". Never got a call back. I called the following day and spoke to a different manager who wanted me to drive back to the bakery with the bagels I threw away. She asked to dig them out of the garbage in order to get a refund. When I requested the owners call me to resolve this issue, she hung up on me. Poor establishment - do not see them in business much longer with the this type of service and quality food.

Yelp
So here it go's. I woke up this morning and the wife said I want homemade melt in your mouth fresh donuts so I searched on Google for the best donuts in NH and wouldn't you know it Dunkins shows up first followed by Heav'nly Donuts and then Klemms, So we did like any other person would do me drove from Manchester to Windam to Heav'nly donuts and where so disappointed with there products we decided to drive down the street to Klemms Bakery. I feel they have the best donuts in NH. We bought a sugared Jelly, Jelly Crunch, buttetcrunch, blueberry cake, fresh, melt in your mouth. Sorry no coffee here but next plaza up had a dynamite coffee shop that's my next review.

Michael G.

Yelp
Fresh, local bakery. Donuts are sooo much better than the franchise donuts made in some far away factory. No comparison.

Gary B.

Yelp
You have not had pastries until you have tried Klemm's. All their pastries are excellent and they will bake a cake for your occasion. We had them make a chocolate cake for a birthday that was awesome. Not your corner doughnut shop, these are real pastries.
google avatar

Jamie C.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with the quality of food at Klemms. It is very over priced. Save yourself some money and go to market basket and you will not only save but get a better product. I bought 3 cupcakes, 3 cannolis, and a ginger bread man. I went first thing in the morning for fresh Pastries. I got day old instead. The cupcakes were dry. I got 3 different flavors and all three were very dry and lacked flavor. The icing was rock hard in a matter of hours. The cannoli were 2x more expensive then MB and they were soggy!!! I couldn't even finish them. The gingerbread man was rock hard! Almost impossible to eat.

Yelp
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I used to work at Klemms Bakery and they have a plethora of issues. One of the owners smokes inside the building while making food, their ovens emit gas into the air but have no flame, and the tables are improperly cleaned with only vinegar and water, not soap or any sort of cleaner. Every item there is overpriced and it isn't even worth it. Their coffee pots are only cleaned with water and no soap. Pretty much all of the food they have there is frozen, not fresh. The whole thing about fresh donuts every day? A lie. They have wires all around the bakery, water that smells like crap, ants EVERYWHERE, and no one who cared to take care of the issue. On my first day there, there was a donut on the bakery floor near the oven that had apparently been there for days, maybe weeks. It was COVERED in an entire colony of ants who had taken refuge in the bakery. I told my co-workers about it and they shoved it off and didn't care. I swept up as many ants as I could and put them outside. The employees and managers could not care less about the state of this bakery. The employees are severely underpaid and are not treated with respect like and employee should. I will never eat at this bakery again, and I suggest you don't either.
