"Knead is a local institution you’ll want to pick up and carry back to LA with you. The pastries at this little bakery are great (get a sticky bun), and the very simple bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich is even better. You can get it all to go, but why sit at the awkward wobbly table in the place you’re renting when you can sit inside and watch all the locals coming in to pick up a loaf of bread and gossip with the owner. Although you should get a loaf of your own too." - Jess Basser Sanders

Delicious healthy food. Nice little outdoor area under the canopy of a tree. No credit cards accepted, so bring some cash.

We went for diner here, and they were testing out pizza options. We had a bacon, date, and nectarine pizza which was ridiculously good. The crust was sublime, thin and crispy, but with a good chewy tooth. We sat outside in their cute little seating area. The staff was very friendly, and fun to talk to. This was a great casual date night dinner in walking distance from our hotel. Very glad we found it.

I love this place! They have great desserts! They are the only place in town that you can get a great birthday cake, wedding cake, cupcakes and amazing tarts. I've referred tons of brides to them for wedding cakes and they are gorgeous! I bought tarts for birthday party's, and they are alway's beautifully done. You get what you pay for. This is a family of true artisan's that take tremendous pride in their work and only source the best ingredients.

We went there after 11 am to have brunch. Ordered veggie bagel, avocado on toast, sides of salad and 1/2 of avocado because there is not much substantial to eat. And the place is not cheap, not expensive just not cheap. Low value for money. The salad was 4 leaves of romain lettuce with some chopped red cabbage. I have to say though the outdoor seating area is very nice-in the shade of a tall tree. Each food item was very oily including the salad. Go there for the outdoor environment, not the food!

Not much of a bakery in my opinion. They have a few types of deserts and some bagels, but the baguettes they were selling didn't resemble any baguette I've ever seen before and they were charging $8 each. I will say the butter cake they had was very nice, but they are more of a cafe than a bakery.

Had lunch here, paid $14 for a salad, just arugula with some crumbled goats cheese and tomato and a few crackers. No imagination, nothing special. To top it, when I asked for some butter to have with the crackers I had to pay another 50 cents, really?? My fried had a sandwich for $11, with one fried egg, a few rashers of bacon and some cheese shavings. It all tasted ok, but nothing special, it really was way overpriced. To top it the outside seating wasn't very comfortable, and we were eating of plastic plates with disposable cutlery. Honestly, go elsewhere, this annoyed me until the next day!

$3 for a small drip coffee, $5 for a sticky bun that looked good but wasn't, $10 for a small loaf of bread. No vegan options, not even non dairy milk for coffee. Counter service was extremely slow for no particular reason (didn't look understaffed, wasn't crowded).

Wonderful breakfast with outside dining. We ordered a birthday cake that was both beautiful and tasty. As good as any of the bakeries in my home town, Portland. OR!
