"Both Jennifer Curtin, general manager at Providence luxury hotel The Beatrice, and Brock Anderson, executive chef at Sea Crest Beach Resort in North Falmouth, Massachusetts, recommend Knead Doughnuts in Providence. Anderson takes half a dozen up the hill to Prospect Terrace Park 'to enjoy a very New England afternoon, with scenic panoramic views of autumn colors.'" - Adam H. Callaghan

While donuts could be considered uninspired food, they really have a great formula: dough, sugar=happiness. Sometimes, people tinker with a good thing and it goes sideways. That is my opinion of Knead. We ordered one of each donut and tried them. Interesting flavors but nothing that makes me say, "I need to go back there to get that.)

Google
Super cute on the inside, great customer service- the employees were so kind and helpful. They did not have crounuts? when I went (on a weekday) but I did try their jelly donut and coffee cake donut. The raspberry jelly was good but it took many bites to get to the jelly, because it was so sweet and rich, it was overwhelming at the end and I couldn’t finish it. On the other hand, the coffee cake donut was delicious- award winning. Everything was super fresh and tasted delicious.

Google
This is a really cute doughnut shop with a nice variety of fresh high quality donuts. We came on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t too busy and they had a great selection of donuts and pastries to choose from. The service was great too. We got a brown butter pecan donut and a mocha old fashioned donut. The brown butter pecan donut was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. It was so big and fluffy and had so many little pecan pieces coating it. The mocha old fashioned was good too but the texture wasn’t quite as good and I didn’t taste much coffee flavor. This is a great a great spot with delicious donuts! We’ll be back for sure and will recommend it to friends!

Google
First visit to Knead and found the store immaculately kept and the staff knowledgeable as well as friendly. The selection of donuts was diverse and the added selection of vegan varieties a plus. Both vegan and non-vegan donuts were rich and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
Nifty little donut shop near Providence. I could tell that they make everything in house which is nice compared to big donut shop chains. Overall my experience was good. I ordered a strawberry flourless, blueberry rhubarb, and vanilla frosted donuts. Unfortunately my vanilla frosted donut was actually a vanilla glazed donut. I was visiting from out of town so I could not return to rectify this error as it was too late when I finally noticed what had happened. I will gladly give the remaining two stars the next time I can come in to visit.

Google
We were so excited to try these after hearing rave reviews that these were some of the best donuts in the area. We tried a small assortment - chocolate frosted, vanilla glaze, and a nut covered and overall felt disappointed by all - the brioche were a bit dry and closely textured. They also forgot to add oat milk to our coffees which was a bummer. We will definitely try this spot again to give it the benefit of the doubt - perhaps we were too late in the day and fresher donuts will be better!

Google
The donuts were delicious and the staff were friendly and funny. 10/10 experience!

Yelp
Believe the hype about Knead Doughnuts. Incredibly fast service, unique offerings, and comparable prices to other competitors. If you are whimp like me I might caution I against the coffee as it's super strong. I would actually like to meet another customer who drinks the coffee and lives to tell the tale. Oh and try the vegan and/or flowerless doughnut. You're welcome in advance!

Holly W.

Yelp
The chocolate chip donut is still my favorite! Not over powered with chocolate, not too hard but dense with flavor. Loved the white chocolate dipped portion of the donut. It's just the best! Tried egg nog and it was good but I couldn't eat a whole donut of egg nog.

Jenny C.

Yelp
Knead is the best of the best. The freshest glazes, the softest brioche, and the distinct lack of deep-fried aftertaste. I also love their old fashioned (best in state - Allie's fans can fight me) and cake donuts. They all have their own personalities. The raspberry fritter is my all time fav but I love all of their seasonal fruit flavors - so fresh!!! This was my husband's postpartum treat for me, while I was still in the hospital after giving birth. I had gestational diabetes, and the one thing I repeatedly mentioned wanting to eat after the baby was born was Knead donuts. That's how much I love them.

Yelp
15 minutes before close & it was a dream! So happy their employees welcome customers right until the doors are locked, to me that's a wonderful quality they have! Wow.. I LOVE Knead!!!! Knead to go here more often! Their vegan menu and selection is spectacular, the 3 that I tried are absolutely to die for! I know they have a huge menu but I truly wish they made MORE vegan options I'd buy them all! My partner and I also enjoyed nitro cold brew. The employee was very sweet, she didn't rush our choosing and was very attentive. She offered to place the pastries separately since mine were vegan, 10/10 very thoughtful, I love when people go the extra mile. This is a place I wish I could come once a week! Since we arrived so close to their closing, she gave use a few of the donuts for free. Best experience; even coming so close to closing! We would've sat inside because it was also so beautiful, but all the chair were up. No biggie, we sat an enjoyed out pastries and donuts at the park! My partner LOVED his selections as well. The nitro is super strong!!!!

Yelp
Came here for some breakfast. The staff was super friendly. The cafe had a nice seating area inside as we all an outdoor patio out back. We got a couple items to share. The popover was underwhelming. We wish it was heated up. The top had nice flavor but the bottom was so dry. The chocolate almond donut was too sweet. Standard glazed donut. The drinks were good. The matcha latte was not overly sweet.

William K.

Yelp
Donuts were good but not great. I thought they were very pricey for what you got. Interesting selection. I was hoping it would be better but unfortunately it wasn't.

Rachel M.

Yelp
Favorite donuts in pvd. Especially the old fashioned. Need to try the savory things next!

Stephanie T.

Yelp
I had some Doordash credit so what better way than to use it by ordering Knead Doughnuts. I ordered the chocolate, strawberry shortcake, jelly, chocolate chip old fashioned, and an Arnold Palmer. I really like that there are always alternating flavors so you can try different donuts and also still get the ones you like from before. This was my first time having the Strawberry Shortcake and it really did taste like eating a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar. That was my favorite ice cream bar growing up. This donut was a vanilla cake doughnut with a fresh strawberry glaze and topped with house-made shortcake. The Arnold Palmer was fresh brewed Tea Pigs iced tea, topped off with Natalies Fresh Lemonade. For me, this was a bit too much lemonade and not equally distributed. I probably will not get this one again and stick to their donuts. Doordash was great in delivering the order.

Rachel N.

Yelp
I don't care what the day brings... sometimes you just have to stop and have a doughnut. Get to Knead Doughnuts early as they will sell out of some of the flavors if you wait too long! Some of my all time favorites are the Chocolate Chip Old Fashioned, the seasonal fritter (my ABSOLUTE favorite is the Raspberry Fritter), and the Passion Fruit Glazed. The merch is also a must have - they have t-shirts, hats, travel mugs, etc. The cafes are small but adorably decorated, and it's a great spot to meet with some friends or bring your laptop to get some work done. The staff is always friendly and attentive! Pro Tip: Download the Toast app so you can order in advance and join their loyalty program!

Zoe S.

Yelp
Knead Doughnuts is a charming coffee shop! Tried a variety of treats - cinnamon bun and ham and cheese were standouts. However, the Popover wasn't as impressive. Overall, a cute spot with some delicious treats

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Still our favorite donut place in the tristate area. The raspberry fritters and so fresh the glaze has seeds in it and is slightly tart. Also love the old fashioned, both have a wonderful brown crunchy exterior. Just a seriously high quality place.

Cydney M.

Yelp
STALE PRODUCTS =============== My husband should have returned everything for a full refund. If they charge such exorbitant prices I expect their products would be fresh. Everything tasted over a day old. I took one bite of the muffin and that was it for me. It was hard and tasted bad. My husband ate the regular doughnut because he was hungry, but he said it wasn't good. He was sick to his stomach. Need to check on my in-laws to see how they are feeling. They raved about this place and I am sure they are mortified.

Caitlyn Z.

Yelp
I stopped in today as a part of the RI food fights. Parking was easy in, easy out. The place is clean and cute on the inside and has outdoor seating as well. I ordered a flourless lemon poppy donut. It was to sweet for my liking from the glaze on the outside but the inside was perfect. The pineapple coconut was AMAZING. And the coffee, the reason I went there... felt too bland. They only served vanilla and chocolate coffee for flavors. And you had the option of milk or oat milk that you measure out yourself. I would return if I was in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Joyce L.

Yelp
I love me a good donut. But I admit I am a traditionalist. I need a good plain cake donut to determine if I like a donut place. Why? Because that's basically. I'd they can make a good plain cake donut, they can make any other unique variation well. They didn't have a plain cake donut. I got the maple salt glazed and a pumpkin muffin. Both were good, although I could do without the maple icing. The pumpkin muffin was very good.

Volkan G.

Yelp
Hear me out. Saturday morning, you feel like having freshly made doughnuts with your morning coffee. Stopped by at Kneed in East Side to buy two. Excited to break my morning routine and have two guilty pleasures. As soon as I bit on one ,it felt like what I am eating is stale, not made on the same day. Paid nearly 10$ for 2 doughnuts, if a business charges for a gourmet product, my minimum expectation is, a least, to have a fresh product. Not being picky, just asking for my money's worth.

Theresa R.

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and hospitable. That being said the doughnuts were not particularly good or bad in my opinion. I think they are worth a try if you're in the area but I much prefer other doughnuts shops in the area.

Vivian R.

Yelp
Very friendly, fast, and attentive service. Doughnuts are very fresh and made daily. The vanilla doughnut was very tasty and their cronuts are amazing! Their lattes are also delicious! We have been here 2 times and will be back when we are in the area!

Yelp
KNEAD DOUGHNUTS Cromwell Street (West End), Providence To be straight out honest, I've only been to one of the Knead Doughnut shops. And only once at that. Keep that idea in the equation with the rest of this review. First off, the Cromwell Street Knead is easy not to find. it's in an odd location for a business which tends to rely on foot traffic. Just past South Providence into the West End, Cromwell is almost free of obvious landmarks. A couple of new tenement rehabs and an old manufacturing building on one side. Knead is in that building. With the rave reviews and the fact I was there at 9 AM on a beautiful Sat morning, I expected the line of people to guide me to the door. It wasn't there. Apart from one guy walking a dog with a donut in his mouth the only evidence I was on the right street was a little wooden sandwich board. The low-contrast lettering did read "Knead." Stepping up into the cool, cavernous machine room cum donuttery there was a single woman drinking coffee. Great! No line, I thought. Followed immediately by, Why isn't there a line?? I ordered and ice coffee to give me time to look at the selection. Pretty sexy looking pastries, I gotta say. Had no problem picking six. The kid at the counter taped my box and off I went to the car. Next stop - donut tasting with my kid at college Before driving off, I opened the box and reached for the Brown Butter Pecan. We had connected visually in the shop. The coating just fell off in large shards, dashing my dreams of getting it out of the box intact. The Sour Cream Old-Fashioned looked structurally sound so I had that instead. But first a sip of iced coffee. It was like... It had this flavor like... What the hell was it like??? Since I was actually prepared for that sour, burnt tire broth most modern bakery cafes serve, Knead's brew threw my tongue a riddle. It was not bad at all. It was even really good but it didn't taste like regular ol' joe. There was a sweet spice in there. Something Chai-ish maybe? Who knows? It was cool and didn't burn holes in my esophagus. It also came in handy after the first bite of the old fashioned. It was assertively dry. Maybe stale? Perhaps overcooked? Let's just say it was the latter since the glaze, in a nice, crisp layer complete with solidified drips and a dry surface, was indeed fresh. The coffee helped but the donut just didn't have the inner moisture to encourage eating it all. The moistness lack was a them in our box. The Vanilla Glazed Brioche: also on the dry side. The delicious jammy raspberry jam of the Jelly Filled was moist! It's brioche enclosure wasn't. We did eat the coating of the Brown Butter Pecan and there was fun in that, even if the inner donut never made it to anybody's mouth. The Chocolate Peanut Butter. Well... there was our winner! Hit on all counts: Chocolately, Peanut Buttery and very Moisty. Could there be an explanation for the inconsistencies? I'm hoping it was just the location. Not enough patrons to eat the donuts in their freshest state, perhaps. While there does seem to be room for improvement (at least at the Cromwell outlet), Knead does have a great base array of flavors. At 4+ bucks a pop a donut should shine. And there is that coffee which keeps lingering in my head (Kind of a deal at $3.40!) I'll go back just for that and to give the donuts a second try. Lastly: It was awfully nice to walk into a shop and not face a pastry case full of goodies covered in breakfast cereal. From Fruity Pebbles to Froot Loops, this trend of hiring unicorns to barf all over the donuts has worn pretty thin. How about we lay that one to rest?

Vivian A.

Yelp
I have nothing bad to say about this donut shop! They have great customer service, I told them it was my first time there and I would like them to give me the best donut they have and BOYY! It was delicious. I had the brown butter pecan which is hugeee and had a nice crunch with the pecan. The do have complimentary water, which I appreciate and the water was filtered which was a big plus for me. This was the first location I been too that offered a small little sample which I thought was nice. Parking is not the best since it's only street parking but definitely worth stopping by.

Elisa F.

Yelp
Great visit to Knead which has been on our list forever! We went about 30 minutes before closing so there wasn't very much left, but we were able to try a classic glazed and pumpkin donut. I loved the candied pepitas on the pumpkin donut! Such a good cake donut, not too sweet either. The glazed was classic and still fresh the next day. Can't wait to try more on our next visit!

Fawn C.

Yelp
We were driving by, heading to a brewery near by when I saw out of the corner of my eye a large van that said Knead doughnuts. I quickly pulled up Yelp and saw that Knead Doughnuts was indeed a doughnut shop near by and they were open! We quickly found a parking spot. If I'm completely honest, we were wandering around trying to find the entrance and we were not having much success. That is when a stranger took us for tourists and asked us what we were looking for. He was so kind, he badged us in the back way. We made our through the fabulously, industrial warehouse, to where Knead calls home. The smells were fantastic. I discussed with the employee behind the counter saying that I had read on yelp that they offered vegan donut options. She said absolutely. That thrilled us because so many of these specialty donut shops use eggs in their donut recipe. Don't get me wrong those donuts are delicious, but my husband is allergic to eggs, so we were stoked to hear they had eggless donuts! When in Rome, I asked the employee which donuts she suggested for me. I went with the professional suggestions both the goat cheese danish and the berry and lemon donut. They were both soooo good. I particularly loved the goat cheese danish. But I was thrilled with both donut choices. Her suggestions were spot on. My husband enjoyed the vegan donuts. It was so nice for him to get to eat a quality donut and not worry about death (just kidding, kind of)! He had both the vegan chocolate donut and the glazed vegan. It was hard for him to pick one favorite. He was so happy with both. If we lived in the area, we would definitely frequent Knead doughnuts. If you happen to live in the area, drop by for us once in a while. Order yourself the goat cheese danish, it will not disappointed! Enjoy!!!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Ohmy Lord ship. I have never had so many good tasting donuts in my life, until I walked into Knead Doughnuts. Made from scratch in a nice family environment donut shop. We ordered 20 donuts for a hosting of a party we were invited to. I ordered chocolate, Cereal donuts, and many other flavors real common today. Taste is amazing and different from what I usually eat. Great staff working here. The coffee is bomb too. I hope I can come back on my next visit.

Kien T.

Yelp
Loved the set up of the store and the staff were super friendly. They even have a cute area in the back for little ones to enjoy the donuts.

Dasle K.

Yelp
Brown. Butter. Pecan. Doughnuts. OMG. When I walked up to the display window, it immediately caught my eye. The doughnut was COVERED in pecans and I just knew.... this was the one. Don't get me wrong - the others are great as well. I tried the old fashioned, passion fruit, and a bunch of others but the brown butter pecan one exceeded all of my expectations. If you're visiting from out of town (like me) don't miss Knead. Worth the stop!

Maria C.

Yelp
Finally, a place opened on a Monday! Went here after two places Were closed. I was pleasantly surprised to see the big space inside and a TODDLER AREA!!! They are family friendly and have a changing table with a diaper disposal. Will definitely be back and I live closer to other knead donuts.

Calley S.

Yelp
I have been visiting Knead since they first opened their doors so I'm going to make this review short and sweet. My favorite doughnuts ever! (Vanilla and Brown Butter Pecan are my favorites) The End

Julia H.

Yelp
i would say the donuts here were decent. I dont know if id choose to come again, but it is supposedly very popular. the interior was very cute and the service was great so if id give them a 5 for that. also if you order online they make your drinks only after you arrive. the coffee was also pretty solid. as for the donuts, ive definitely had better. the best one was probably the cinnamon roll and the passion fruit. i think they generally really nailed the brioche. the gingerbread was kind of mushy even though the spices were good and the old fashioned was way too sweet and hard

Phillip M.

Yelp
Dropped by on a Sunday morning around 10 AM. The place was hopping with a lot of families and rambunctious children. Still, the donut case was full with some really beautiful pastries. My friend ordered the cheddar jalapeño scone, chocolate babka, and coffee while I ordered tea, a savory popover, and a sour cream old fashioned donut. I loved the popover. While these are usually best a little warm (the heat that escapes from its open, craggy, eggy center can be great) this was decidedly room temperature and covered with everything bagel seasoning. Nonetheless, it was hearty and sufficiently light while also being substantial. The sour cream donut with vanilla glaze was ok; crumbly without being mealy and not too sweet. I think it was missing something, possibly more of that greasy/buttery crunch that coats some great old fashioned donuts. My friend's scone was flaky and packed with cheese and jalapeños. Their babka had a lot of nuts and chocolate inside but was missing some of the vanilla-scented buttery richness of a good brioche-style babka dough. That said, I look forward to shoving more of their beautiful donuts in my maw. I hope to next try a standard glazed (which is, imho, the difference between a good and great donut shop) and probably another popover. And maybe, on a Sunday, I'll just pick up and go. Some of the kids were clearly having a really good time, which wasn't shared by all of us adults.

April Y.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of living within walking distance of this Knead Doughnuts location this summer; great place for quality time with friends and great doughnuts! Unlike its rival PVDonuts, I have been to Knead several times, on weekends and weekdays, and have never had to wait in line! I'd have to say my favorite is the Passionfruit brioche, though I've enjoyed their seasonal varieties to mix things up (lemon blueberry basil cake, sweet potato fritter, pumpkin spice cake and, most recently, the cranberry crumble). Heads up: the drip coffee is very bold! But that's just fine with me; I am from Seattle so I'm into it. I like the atmosphere inside and often choose to sit near the windows. Nice and cool (read: air-conditioned) in the sweltering summer, and warm and cozy in fall/winter. I like to meet my friends here to catch up because even when the place is at max capacity, we can carry on a conversation! :) The flower wall mural is beautiful! This place has a great neighborhood vibe. If you're feeling especially lazy, the online order-ahead system works great! I've done it twice when I've had larger orders for special events or gatherings at my place with friends. I picked up the orders on time without a hitch. Ultimate convenience! Also, every time I've gone I've been able to find parallel parking easily within a block and a half.

Una D.

Yelp
This is my favorite donut shop in Providence in particular. I especially love the passion fruit but all of them are delicious including their jelly donut. My mom doesn't even like jelly donuts and she wolfed it down after she got one bite. Definitely would get more if I was in the area.

Nathasha S.

Yelp
Our favorite was the chocolate donuts! The chocolate ganache was delicious. My husband also liked the pineapple coconut and pecan one. We didn't love the jelly or passionfruit donut.

Janet Q.

Yelp
Delicious doughnuts and super easy and safe to order during these times. This local business has been around for several years including the downtown location, but I first learned to appreciate Knead when I tried their passionfruit doughnut at a partnered restaurant. This time around, we grabbed a box of 6 plus a ham and cheese croissant. The brown butter pecan is perfectly airy, sweet, and crunchy all at once, and the lemon curd pastry was satisfyingly tart. Croissant was nicely flaky and buttery with the ham wrapped in the center. Didn't dine in but wanted to note the interior is beautiful. Ordering online ahead was easy and fast. No long, round-the-block lines for orders that you need to place days to weeks in advance. ;)

Yelp
People love to compare Knead and PVDonuts. Please stop. They are not the same. If I have a craving for Knead, it's totally different than a craving for PVDonuts. They're simply not the same thing. It's the same with Allie's. If you want Allie's, you know what you're in for. I go to all donut shops for a certain purpose. If I want a classic donut, I go to Allie's. If I want something crazy, I go to PVDonuts, if I want a go-between, I go to Knead. So, I give love to any kind of donut that is good. And Knead is just that: really freaking good. I love Knead. I've always loved Knead. Their donuts are unique but simple. It's like they're halfway between all the new-age donut shops and the classics. Their sour cream old fashioned is an ode to the classics while their brown butter pecan is more quirky but could still win over the hearts of a classic-donut-loving person (like me). My husband is in love with all of their donuts as well, but his heart is set on their chocolate chip old fashioned. He asks me year-round if they have their chocolate chip donut yet. Besides the vanilla old fashioned and brown butter pecan, my true love is their raspberry fritter which is around in the warmer months. So be sure to snag that flavor-packed piece of dough when you have the chance. I've been to donut shops all over the country and Knead does something that other donut shop like it fail to do: their fresh taste, their simplicity, their appreciation for what tastes good and not just what is "crazy." This particular location is larger than the original and has more parking. I don't prefer any location over the other--just depends on what's convenient. More than one location? Sounds good to me!

Lauren M.

Yelp
This location is deceptively large. My favorite part is the kids kitchen toward the back where kids can play. It's such a nice family-friendly touch. The store is welcoming and very clean, with lots of seating, including a few tables outdoors. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to donuts, but the chocolate glazed is always delicious.

Caitlin J.

Yelp
Some days are better than others, some Knead doughnuts are better than others, but they are pretty solid, tasty doughnuts. I like the variety of textures and flavors. The cake doughnuts, a little warm, with a hot cup of coffee, are the definition of comfort food. The passion fruit glazed is a household favorite when they have it- a perfect combination of sweet, tangy, fluffy, and indulgent. They also make great savory popovers.

Megan S.

Yelp
I am a huge donut girl and I love love love these donuts! My two favorites are the chocolate chip old fashioned and the raspberry fritter (patiently waiting my for its return ). You can order an Arnold Palmer with any kind of tea. My go-to is the fruited tea -- very tasty and very pretty! If you're looking for good donuts in Providence, look no further. This is it!

Albert K.

Yelp
YOU NEED KNEAD These are the doughnuts you didn't know you needed. DOUGHNUTS - Choc Chip Old Fashioned: Like C'mon. Chocolate freaking chips. Delicious. The key touch is that they use MINI chocolate chips. Mindblown. It's perfect. - Sour Cream Old Fashioned: Nice, pleasing taste. It was my first time having a doughnut made with sour cream. It added a sourness to it, and made it fluffy too. Cool stuff. - Boston Creme: My favorite donut. This has always been my go-to. Unlike a boston creme from DD, this is different. The chocolate tastes fresh. Dark chocolate and not overly sweet. The inside creme is light and spotted with vanilla beans. Not too sweet either. It tastes healthy and you don't feel like crap afterwards. If I ever consider moving to Rhode Island, it would solely be because of Knead Doughnuts. Recommended: Choc Chip Old Fashioned is a no-brainer, boston creme for the refined palettes COVID Version: Pickup and go. Enjoy!

Jesus S.

Yelp
Oh jeez some of the best doughnuts I've had! This place is super delicious and has a great variety of doughnuts. The passion fruit SLAPS, and it is absolutely delicious and sweet. Perfect with an orange juice pairing. The maple sea salt is my favorite. Literally the best. By far. Just make sure you eat it in a surface that you're okay with it spilling a lot so you can pick them up and eat the crumbs. Perfect pair with a hot cup of coffee.

Sarah B.

Yelp
I love Knead donuts! They always have flavor specials which is fun, and their more classic donuts taste so good. It definitely gives home made comfort food donuts vibes for me and I love it.

Perri V.

Yelp
I stopped in here to grab a few donuts, since I've heard good things. I went for the chocolate chip old fashioned, jelly, and brown butter pecan, since they seem like Knead classics. There were a decent number of options available around 10:30 when I got there, including some pastries as well. The staff member who served me was very friendly and made sure to double check with me that my order was correct. Pricing was a little high in comparison to other local donut places. The donuts were all good, but all had small issues that stopped them from meeting my expectations. The brioche donuts were nice and fluffy and not too dense. The jelly was my favorite of the three, but needed to be filled more and the jelly was on the grainy side. The raspberry flavor was delicious, though. The texture on the chocolate chip old fashioned was awesome- nice and crisp on the outside. I didn't feel like it needed the white chocolate because it made the whole donut overly sweet, and there weren't nearly enough chocolate chips. The brown butter pecan needed more brown butter flavor and the coating all fell off as I ate it, but I liked the crunch of the pecans and it was really big. Overall this is a solid donut spot, but the flavors didn't totally deliver for me. I would definitely come back and try some other options in the future.

Yelp
I don't know if they tweaked their recipe or I just got less crotchety, but I like Knead Doughnuts a lot more now. This new location in the East Side / Blackstone area is a gem! The popular brown butter pecan option is a bit too sweet for me. But other flavors, like blueberry lemon basil, passionfruit, and mojito, are just right. Try some free samples to see what you prefer! I'm especially partial to their old fashioned doughnuts, which crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I probably prefer the brioche at PVDonuts, but I wish people would stop comparing the two. PVDonuts and Knead both have excellent specialty doughnuts, and their styles are completely different. Knead is like an elegant poodle and PVDonuts is like a playful, exuberant labrador retriever. Which one you like better totally depends on your own personality and mood! The doughnuts run from $3-3.50. Iced coffee is $3.25 for a small (12 oz) and $3.75 for a large (16 oz). Yes, Knead is a little pricey, but justifiable for an occasional treat! They pulled out all the stops with decorating this new location. It's absolutely beautiful, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I will definitely come by to do work, but I forgot to check if they have wifi. Oh well, just an excuse to visit again!

Yelp
Pre-ordered online for curbside pickup at their Elngrove location on a Sunday. Pickup was quick and friendly! Donuts were just OK. A little too dense for my liking, not soft and pillowy. None of them were mind-blowing I'd choose PV over Knead any day.

Yelp
Love the Elmgrove shop and ordered vegan donuts online last night for pickup today. So easy. Plenty of free street parking. Order was ready to go on time. They don't have a huge selection of vegan offerings, but some is better than none. I ordered passion fruit and vanilla vegan donuts. They were healthy in size, fresh, and not dry. Highly recommend this bakery!

Yelp
Knead doughnuts always impresses me and they recently have added SO many vegan flavors!!! I just tried the vegan mango doughnut and oh my goodness it is a must try!! Their doughnuts are stunning but the flavor profiles are really the most impressive. I love how they're elevated classics like PB&J or birthday cake. They also often have delicious specials. In my opinion, they are the highest quality and yummiest doughnuts in Rhode Island! You really can't go wrong with Knead. My favorites are the mango, passion fruit, and raspberry fritter!

Yelp
Mmm...so good!! My experience was Love at first bite. These are considered gourmet and in a class of its own. Their brioche donuts are scrumptious, coming in different flavors, like Raspberry, Cinnamon Roll, Maple Sea Salt, Vanilla Glazed, and Passion Fruit. The brioche fritters were delicious. My personal favorite is the double chocolate, which is similar to a ganache--rich and chocolatey. I like this location in particular because it's within a residential area away from crowds and is perfect for families with young children. Getting a treat here after class with your special someone would definitely provide bonding opportunities and create fond memories. Warm, welcoming service and vibe. Very clean. Excellent venue for birthday parties. A must-visit spot if you're visiting from out-of-state. Great tasting coffee. Can't wait to try everything!!!

Yelp
SHOOKITH.... What happened knead? I was gobsmacked when we opened the box from the online order we placed.. it's like a scene from "honey I shrunk the kids...". The size?? Are you kidding? Your donuts are now small than, dare I say.. Dunkin'.. Beyond the shock of the size of the donuts, the quality of the flavor/taste.. The Pear fritter was missing any essence of pear.. I so wanted to have the seasonal experience that you have always delivered on.. but this fell flat.. You should immediately stop selling Apple Cider.. they are completely missing any flavor of apple and any spice whatsoever.. the texture and consistency was off putting.. it's like a commercial cake donut mixed was used and just some granulated sugar and cinnamon was scarcely added to the exterior.. I have been a loyal customer of yours for years.. even ordering donuts during the pandemic as our Saturday or Sunday morning escape.. Really, Really, Really disappointed..

Yelp
I love the new light-filled and gorgeous space! (It's accessible for those who can't navigate the Custom House location; no stairs here, so come!) The doughnuts have creative flavors and are all delicious. Nuff said - I need my fingers back to shove more chocolate cake doughnut into my face.

Yelp
It was close to closing, selection was low. To be expected. I think a bit pricey for the size. Unique flavors and none of the preservative taste as with big brands.

Yelp
Attended a Yelp! Sponsored family event with my friend and her daughter. Great space in the heart of Wayland Sq. Area on Elmgrove. My pictures do not do justice how beautiful and big the space is. It's great for birthday parties and special events. There are kids size work space where you can do you own crafts and make donuts. I only had samplings of munchiken size donut holes - lemon, maple, raspberry and plain flavored ones. They are so much better than what you would get from Dunkin. Way better tasting and better textures. The glaze were more flavorful and actually taste like real fruits and maple syrup. They were not overly sweet and can actually taste the fresh fried dough. I will have to come back and check out some more of their selection.
