I stopped in on Tuesday for a quick lunch. I had the winter market salad and it was so dynamite! I absolutely love the unique yogurt sauce that it was over and there was copious amounts of goat cheese. Super fresh veggies I’m not typically a huge salad person and this was amazing! I was met with friendly and super speedy service. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area. The inside is so beautiful as well and was all decorated for the holidays! Great spot to grab lunch with a friend!

We came in on a Sunday around lunch time and the tables had a 30 minute wait, to avoid waiting my friend and I sat at the bar. So glad that we did, we were waited on by Stephanie (brunette Stephanie) and she was amazing! We were so indecisive and she was so patient and gave us great recommendations, despite juggling other customers she was tending to. The food was delicious and the drinks were just as good. If you were thinking about the blackberry matcha, you should definitely get it. Stephanie was not only attentive, but provided stellar customer service and exceeded all our expectations. Bartender Stephanie gave us fun facts about the place and even brought Kai to us to answer all our questions. He told us about all the bread they make and it was fascinating to learn about the whole operation. They both went above and beyond and made our experience a great one. We had good food, good conversations with both Stephanies, and overall was a great time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an enjoyable experience with good food and drinks.

This review is for bartender brunette Stephanie! We interacted with two Stephanies, the other had braids and glasses we chatted with her too, but she wasn’t our angel of a bartender who waited on us! I can’t say enough about Stephanie. She really gave thorough food recommendations, went above and beyond to give us info about their bakery, told us about their classes and joked with us about legoland lol. She was clearly busy also helping with tables, but that didn’t stop her from giving amazing, prompt service. She’s great vibes, will absolutely be back because of the service alone. And the food here never ever disappoints. That ham and cheese croissant was so yummy, great sauce and portion! Worth a visit for legit any dish.

Spending time in Maryland at the Baltimore Inner Harbor has been quite an experience. It's been around 30 years since my last visit, and I have noticed a lot of changes over time. The hotel situation here has really improved, with a plethora of eateries and, of course, the Inner Harbor Aquarium. While exploring the city, we stumbled upon a bakery that left quite an impression on me. The sheer size of the bakery indicated that they likely have a booming wholesale business in addition to their retail sales. They also had a charming souvenir shop and offered a variety of freshly baked goods. Although the restaurant itself was not very crowded, the bakery was bustling with activity. It appeared that they were preparing for the next day's wholesale deliveries as well as catering to the restaurant's needs. While we did not dine there on this occasion, I am eager to return and try the restaurant in the future. It looked very inviting, and I am sure it is a popular spot during the work week.

Possibly one of the best vanilla lattes Ive had! Great service, no wait (Tuesday, brunch time), huge bacon/egg/cheese biscuit! Tried the cinnamon roll and coffee cake as well - both were great. After brunch we looked at the bakery items and checked out the little shopping area off to the side which had great (fun) items to purchase. Loved the ambiance with the walls of windows right on the corner.

Stopped in during a brief visit to the inner harbor of Baltimore. Picked up a sweet potato whoppie pie to have later. It was DELICIOUS but a little on the pricey side. The cashier who helped me October 19th at 6:30pm was so helpful and aided my quest to collect stickers from my travels.

Stopped by Kneads for breakfast and overall had a pretty good experience! The service was genuinely lovely, friendly, attentive, and warm, which really made the visit feel special. I didn’t end up eating much. I wasn’t as hungry as I thought, but the food I did try was really good. The standout for me was definitely the almond croissant: flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. My brother ordered the steak, egg, and cheese on a sesame bagel with sautéed onions, and honestly, I ended up eating more of his food than mine, it was that good! The vibe was laid-back and welcoming. The service was one of the highlights: friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The coffee was decent, though I’ll admit I’m a bit spoiled by my espresso machine at home, so my standards are pretty high. All in all, a lovely spot for breakfast. I’d definitely come back. Hopefully with more of an appetite next time!

Google
The food was amazing. I had very good service. Until I got the belt. Waitress was happy to remove my coffee off the bill because they ran out of drip coffee and I was switching to Cafe Ole. My first time visiting and she offered a complimentary donut. When the bill came and I didn't look at it because they wasn't provided a physical copy. I paid too much money and now realize I should have looked at the itemized bill. I will say the food was outstanding. The physical appearance of the place is great. The bread was amazing. Just one slate error on the bill.

Yelp
Overall: incredible bakery, restaurant, Coworking space, small local goods shop, great vibes, fine service, and delicious food, with multi-stall gendered restrooms and a changing table available My partner and I spent most of the day here to plan our upcoming year. It was the perfect spot for it. You can purchase items fast-casual style and bring them upstairs to lounge or work or sit down at tables or a bar for full service. Everything looked delicious. We got tuna salad, fries, and the winter grains salad with shrimp and everything was delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the salad was unique and balanced. I loved that they had lots of fun drinks and a martini flight. I do have to say the martini flight was WAY too sweet for my palette, but it was still fun. We loved the vibes, the food, and the variety of offerings in the shop. The host was nice. Our server didn't check on us much and when ordering said "a side of fries okay with that" like the fries were included with the sandwich. They were totally separate item, so that felt super misleading, but they were delicious so we didn't complain.

Yelp
summary: good vibes, lots of space for a variety of seating, and yummy food. Basically, everything that I hope for in a cafe environment all in one. Knead's bakeshop offers kind of a modular experience based on what you want. When you walk in, you see a small section that highlights small businesses with crafts, apparel, candles, etc. There's also a bakery/cafe vibe with freshly made treats with a selection of coffee items (there's a few unique speciality drinks mixed in there too). Aside from the bakery/shop, there's also like a mini sit down restaurant area that includes a bar. And there's also an upstairs that has more loungy seating whether you're trying to eat or get some work done. Really cool venue and I feel like your experience might be dictated based on what you're trying to do. For me, my partner and I went to the sit-down restaurant area. The food was delicious. Everything was super fresh and had great flavor. The martini flights were definitely on the sweeter side, but the Americano was great. Service was honestly a bit spotty and I felt like our server snuck in an extra side of fries for us by making it sound like it was part of my entree, when it was actually an additional fee. I wasn't too mad about it because they were delicious. Cool spot and I would recommend whether you're looking for a great meal, a nice cup of coffee, or a place to sit down and knock out some work.

Yelp
And as usual my stop at this spot was without doubt a plus. I ordered my danish and banana bread latte at the front; it came out fast and tasty. Went to the bar and was seated quickly. I ordered an espresso martini with Bailey's as they were out of the syrups for all the special martinis. I then ordered smokes Salmon omelet that comes with spinach mix greens tossed in a vinagrette. An of course it was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and chill. Customer conversations were quiet and the mood was great. Nothing less than good service today.

Yelp
What a cool gem to the city! This is a pretty popular bakery in Baltimore with a few locations. There were options for sit in or take out (with first come first serve seating available). I found my drink and the danish to be delicious. However, my boyfriend had the cinnamon coffee cake which felt rather dry and the hot chocolate seemed to not taste too much like chocolate. It took around 20 minutes to get our drinks, though it was busy it felt like a rather long wait than what I am used to at popular bakeries

Yelp
I'd give this place 4/5 except for the fact that when I filled my water bottle at the water station, I ended up with hair in my mouth (ew!), and in addition to it not looking like my hair, mine is braided so I *really* doubt it was mine. The music is kinda loud so it's not the best place to work/study unless you have noise-canceling headphones and head upstairs. First floor is a dining area with table service, while the second floor has outlets and comfortable seating, with ordering done at the takeout counter. I tried the almond croissant and it was hard from sitting in the display, but I imagine it's legendary when fresh. The interior was still moist and buttery, somehow without making the bottom soggy. The whole exterior had a nice crunch to it. I also got a cappuccino and was surprised by how good the espresso was (it wasn't burnt!!). The pricing for these items wasn't terrible, but it's definitely dependent on what you order.

Yelp
Came to this area for a weekend trip with my boyfriend and ended up visiting every day for a coffee because it was THAT good. The aesthetics are beautiful and I loved that they had a dining area for reservations, but also a space upstairs for those who just wanted to eat quick or do work on their laptop. We loved our blueberry muffin iced latte and their baked goods. It was pretty busy almost every time we went, but well worth the wait!
google avatar

Maricia H.

Yelp
Really close to a 5 but the service was not the best. However the food was amazing. The cornbread surprising was different but good. It was beautifully decorated and had a little of everything. There is also a little shopping area.

Yelp
Delicious bakery with great coffee. Service is fine, waiters are friendly. Cookies are delicious. We had the egg and cheese biscuit which was nice and buttery. The crispy potatoes were well seasoned. The pistachio croissant was a fine finish for breakfast. Afterwards we were overstuffed. Lots of bread and other baked goods available for taking home. There were only three kinds of bread on the day we visited.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and customer service. Parking can be rough because it's in the inner harbor.

Bansari S.

Yelp
Food was amazing, wait was about 5-10 mins, nothing crazy, and the service was quick! The waitress was quick and able to put our order in table side and it felt like we got our food within 5 mins! Hah it was pretty busy and they had a lot going on but our server was very patient and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for large groups or even just a place to grab coffee and breakfast with a friend. The bagels were delicious too! Definitely going to be a place to revisit when in Baltimore again!
google avatar

Rachel D.

Yelp
So I thought since I loved the tea so much from here I'd order some to go breakfast since I'm in town again... I will not be doing that again. The pistachio croissant came rock hard like it had been sitting out several days..... The egg and cheese bagel while a generous portion, was soggy on the bottom, it tasted ok but the sogginess was a turn off.

Yelp
Had breakfast here today before hitting tye road back to Pgh, we had a Great server Victor, he was very efficient and friendly. Spinach quiche was really good, cold brew was delicious, and the multigrain bread was fantastic! The fruit cup was filled w super fresh berries and pineapple. Definately a great spot, cool vibes, open space and nice decor.

Yelp
Stopped by Knead for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. I expected a simple coffee shop but found a full-service restaurant with breakfast, lunch, dinner, a bar, and a retail area offering candles, soaps, and jams. Our server, Victor, was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and gave great food recommendations. The space is open with plenty of seating, and there's a separate room with a full bar called The Bake Shop. Drink: Blueberry Lemonade - flavorful and refreshing. 4/5 Entree: Turkey, Bacon, Ranch Sandwich tasty turkey and perfectly crispy bacon. 4/5 Fries: Hand-cut and well-seasoned 4/5 Overall, great service and a solid meal. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Yelp
The ambiance is calm and charming -- the kind of place where you can sip coffee, matcha, catch up with friends, or get a little work done. The service was excellent -- everyone was kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help you choose from the beautiful pastry case. And the food? Absolutely delicious. The quiche was light, fluffy, and full of flavor -- the perfect balance of creamy and savory. The croissant was buttery, flaky, and baked to golden perfection. You can taste the craftsmanship in every bite.

Yelp
Kneads, I usually am pleased with whatever I order, but this time, I have been extremely disappointed. I ordered an egg biscuit and added bacon which cost me $14.84 and got a burnt muffin passing as a burnt biscuit. I hope you step it up and never serve something like this to your customers again
google avatar

Yelp
I think they are prime example of a spot that opened and expanded too fast too soon. This is their first location. I have been avoiding this place with my friend who had never been, and wanted to try it out so I figured I would give them another shot. I absolutely despise the way that they have two very odd stanchion lines. It's very unclear when you walk in, you immediately see an ordering counter where the café is, but then there is a small little stand with a hostess, and that is where you need to go if you want to dine inside. We went to the café to order, but then was told that we needed to go back to the front of the line and wait for a hostess to be sat. Honestly, with the way that they have the space it could've easily built a clear glass wall to make sure that they differentiate between the café and the restaurant. It's actually very bad customer flow. And a really bad experience because you have to wait in line twice and the service is never good there. The only redeeming factor about this place is that they sell local items - Avelee farms coffee and mt royal. The coffee used to be the redeeming factor but today they gave me a latte when I asked for a Cortado and a full caffeinated coffee when I asked for decaf. Listen, we are no longer in Covid and with larger corporate restaurants they need to be able to bring full service and the value of the products which they charge you for. The food this time around we got the broccoli cheddar soup, cause it was cold and rainy and the orzo salad, which was great, but it actually didn't have any orzo in it. Overall, it's such a disappointment. It is beautiful on the interior, but my only redemption was their coffee in this time the coffee was so absolutely disgusting. There are tons of other bakeries with better food in the area, especially Ovenbird, which is right next-door (but do avoid their croissants there!)

Yelp
The menu has changed since the first time I came here, and idk if that's a good thing. We ordered the donut trio which was pretty good. As an entree, we both ordered the steak and eggs dish but it was nothing like the steak and eggs I had the last time I was there. It was basically like a steakum- not well seasoned and very dry. The sauce was a bit overpowering, too. Service was nice and quick and the restaurant area was still clean and welcoming-just please go back to the old menus!!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Get their $4 focaccia loaf!!! It's delicious and soft and so much bread for the price. Bakeshop itself is a very cozy space with two floors, one for mainly dining, and the other as a study/work space. Very large menu, from coffee to gelato to baked items to bread. There are also a gift shop and the bread-making factoring attached. Friendly service. Hope to be back!
google avatar

Tamara J.

Yelp
I stopped to grab lunch at Kneads. I had the tuna salad sandwich. It was tasty but a little wet for my liking. But it was still tasty. I also got the cinnamon sugar donut holes for desert. Delicious. I did not get a coffee or tea this visit but there is a nice selection of coffee, lattes, and cappuccinos. As well as a good assortment of hot and iced teas. I did take out and they prepared my order pretty fast. I still had time to look around the shop at all the gifts and take home items for sale. Overall this is a really nice place to sit down and eat or for ordering to do. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing if you want to dine in. There is also a bar in the back if you are looking for cocktails instead of coffee or tea.

Yelp
Stayed across the street at the Hyatt and saw this spot while walking. I love pastries and saw interesting reviews and and to see for myself. 1st impression was off putting. No one greeted us and not being a regular, we just stood and looked at the pastry case for a good 5 minutes before anyone behind the counter said anything. The ambiance was nice. Not sure how the dine in experience is vs to go but ... Ordered 4 pastries and 2 drinks. 35 dollars and the 1 drink I ordered, they were out of. There was someone who tried to remedy the hiccup but the drink wasn't that good that she made. Strawberry lemonade. Overall, the pasties were ok.
google avatar

Nancy O.

Yelp
My go-to when I want a decadent donut or savory egg dish. They currently have all the holiday flavors and a variety of syrups for all your coffee needs. There's a cherry chocolate cold brew that is on my list to try next!
google avatar

Dwayne J.

Yelp
Decided to stop by and try their new doughnuts. At the harbor east location. Service was great and didn't wait too long. The bakery was clean and I enjoyed how you can see the bakers making other pastries. Got the cold brew doughnut Dunkin' Donuts like texture. The icing wasn't sugary and the mini balls added a great crunch to the doughnut. The coffee flavor wasn't overbearing either and It tasted natural rather than artificial. Gave It an 8/10 The ube donut was horrendous. Off rip you taste this very artificial purple color with a hint of ube. Please skip this 2/10
google avatar

Nelia F.

Yelp
Cozy vibes, modern decor, and a smooth latte that hit just right. The setup is aesthetically pleasing--great for a quiet moment or getting work done. Loved the thoughtful details like the vintage typewriter and clean wooden shelving. The coffee itself had a nice balance, not too bitter, and came with some simple but pretty latte art. While it wasn't the richest cup I've had, it definitely satisfied. If you're nearby and looking for a peaceful spot with solid coffee and curated ambiance, it's worth the stop.

Yelp
I like Kneads! It's really good quality food and ambience! Desserts are very tasty! Soup and salads also very good. All bakery products are fresh and tasty. All day breakfast and lunch menu... I love the salmon bagel. We were visiting more often when we're living close to here...
google avatar

Keisha R.

Yelp
Kneads is great for a sweet treat down by the Harbor. The food is decent - but sometimes the long wait doesn't lend to quick lunch. I like that it's down near the Whole Foods so I can guilt free grocery shop afterwards.
google avatar

Omar S.

Yelp
I finally checked out Kneads, what a cool space! Lots of fancy pastries of the type that are not nearly as common in B'more as I'd like, a cozy upstairs seating area, and even a view into the working bakery. I was sort of confused about what to expect from other reviews, so here's a run-down: * Takeout-only cafe line with delicious pastries. So many pastries. The downside here is your coffee is in a paper cup, for those of us who prefer nice coffee in glass/ceramic. * Full-service restaurant. There's a bar but unclear if it was staffed at noon. Make a reservation. * Upstairs seating area, lounge-style with mostly large sofas- perfect for families or couples. There's some more standard cafe seating along the edges (with power outlets) and a view into the bakery operation. * Interesting side gift shop, also a pickup window for online orders. Other thoughts: On a Saturday early afternoon, every table was full and the coffee line was slow-moving. Plan accordingly. Staff should probably empty the upstairs trash more often.

Yelp
I want to give this place a 5 star BUT the service wasn't good. At one point we were waiting for the tea we ordered and our server was literally leaning against the wall with 4 other servers telling a long elaborate story that took at least 15 minutes. The BLT had the thinest single slice of tomato that we literally had to search for. The lattes we ordered were great tasting but so cold/room temperature. And on top of that I think at least 2 maybe 3 of our first orders were sold out. We went at 11am and it was open till 3pm. That was my experience in person. The only other time I had anything from this place was when I first moved to the neighborhood and didn't have anything in my kitchen, so I ordered from here on UberEats. I ordered for me and two friends and while I was charged for the 5 things I ordered I only recieved 3 things. Two things were missing and I never got the money back.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Beautiful bake shop and coffee shop. It's a little confusing of a model - half is sit down and half is walk up with some more "co-working" style seating upstairs. Quiche took about 15 minutes to make. I may have opted for something else if I had known. It's not very busy. It was good but a little too wet for my liking. Coffee was great. I got a honey nut iced latte. I thought the service was okay. The people I interacted with weren't super friendly but that seems par for course these days.

Yelp
A trip to Kneads on a long weekend was chaotic. Popular place at the flagship and staff after the lunch crowd seemed a bit stretched. An hour wait was posted on a board at the entrance, I stepped in and immediately the smell of all things baked goods and roasters hit you not to mention very strong perfumes (whew, ugh) on a very wet day. Loud, indeed it was. The host at the stand that day made sure I knew of the hour wait. Right on. I didn't plan to dine in, and went on to the take out line. The loaves on shelves by the gift shop area were nearly empty and the pastries offered was sparse. I was overwhelmed by the time I got to ordering, I completely ordered the wrong drink and went for the pistachio chai. I requested less ice and with oatmilk. My son chose the cookie butter chai (I switched it to oatmilk) and smoked salmon on everything bagel. We also tried the ube and baklava donuts. It took about 25min for my drinks and another 10min for the smoked salmon bagel. Nearly half an inch less filled, my chai was rich which was yum however too sweet for my liking. The ube donut was picture perfect but the ube flavor was missing. The baklava donut is a great creation and need to mention this one only had a dolop of that creme... whatta tease. My son enjoyed his cookie butter chai and inhaled his smoked salmon bagel. On my way out I learned that Kneads does not replenish items throughout the day and only put out a day's worth of loaves made that morning. All in all it was OK first experience. Parking on the weekends is easy. Accessibility is limited once indoors, and note there is no elevator to the 2nd floor loft space.

Yelp
This was one of the most amazing croissants I've ever had. I walked back by the bakery at night and smelled such fresh bread that I knew I had to come here in the morning. I ordered the banana bread latte, which tasted exactly like magnolia's banana bread pudding. It was not too much banana, just the perfect amount. I ordered the almond croissant, which was the perfect amount of sweetness and flakiness.
google avatar

Sejal S.

Yelp
The place is very busy during peak breakfast and lunch times so avoid going there as the service is slow. There seemed to have been only two servers when we went and we barely saw our server. The food was good but their coffee selection and bakery items are great! Their bakery items are freshly made each day. I recommend getting a bakery item and coffee to-go.

Yelp
Wow, I really enjoyed eating here! The inside is so bright and modern, and I loved being able to see the employees making dough--it adds such a cool touch to the experience. I had such a hard time ordering because the menu has so many delicious-sounding options. I ended up going with a gingerbread latte, which was just right--didn't really get a strong gingerbread taste, but it was still really good. For food, I ordered the cream of crab soup and the steak and cheese hash with a fried egg. Let me start by saying that soup!!! So meaty, so delicious--I got full off that alone, and now I NEED it every time I come here. My steak and cheese hash was also very good--the steak was seasoned well, though I could've used a little more cheese. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and while I only sampled the sauce (which is tomato-based--not my personal favorite), it was still flavorful and filling. He also got the pineapple mimosa tart and bubbly and a prickly pear mocktail--both were sweet, bubbly, and came garnished with a candied fruit, which was such a cute touch. I would definitely love to come back and explore more of the menu. Can't wait for my next visit!
google avatar

Yelp
The staff at Kneads were AMAZING--friendly, attentive, and even at closing, they sent us home with some bread, which was such a thoughtful touch! The lattes? Soooo good--definitely a highlight. As for the pastries, the store mentioned that all the best ones were already sold out, but we tried what was left anyway. They were okay--not bad, but nothing standout. If you're looking for something sweet, the spiced cherry tart (pictured) isn't very sweet. For food, I got the steak and hash, and it was very good--a big portion, definitely worth it. My friend got the crab cake sandwich, and she was impressed--big lumps of crab meat with no filler, which is always a good sign! I also love that they have a store attached where you can shop for soaps, clothes, and other cute finds. It makes the whole experience feel special. Definitely a great little spot!

Yelp
Kneads is what you need! Besides being your standard coffee shop, they serve brunch everyday, the coffee shop has a bar and you can reserve the space for private events. There is street parking available and parking garages nearby. The service was good, the food was tasty and the portion size was generous. I went for a midweek birthday brunch celebration. The French toast was fluffy and flavorful as well as the grits. My wife enjoyed her two handed sandwich and potatoes. The food, the vibe, the ambience was too good to not return back.

Mitasha P.

Yelp
Have to say I did not have the best experience at Kneads. The food was okay, but for the price, probably not worth it. The service is extremely slow, but our server was pretty good to us. I ordered a mocktail and I basically finished eating and still did not get my drink. It's not like it was very busy either. They have a lot of bakery items, merchandise, and a nice bar in the back. There is limited parking as well. FOOD: Burrata Caprese Foccacia - $17 (plus $3 for Prosciutto): focaccia was nice and crispy, but the sandwich could have used more acidity. The paid an extra $3 for prosciutto, but I got NO prosciutto! JP Mac Burger & Fries - $19: came with cold and soggy shoestring fries. Burger tasted good, but was also pretty cold. Cream of Crab Cup - $11: good flavor and came with bread. Still a little too rich and they skimped out on the crab meat. HALF Caesar Salad - $9 (plus $9 for Blackened Chicken): a little pricey for the portion of just a half salad and then to add $9 for a small chicken breast that was dry was well not worth it. DRINKS: Hugo Light Mocktail $8: too sweet and came with no mint at all. Bloody Mary with Tito's $13: wanted a mocktail, and I felt like that was what I got, until I looked at the bill afterwards and saw I was charged for a cocktail. White Chocolate Macadamia Latte $6: all the syrup was at the bottom so I couldn't even drink the last parts of my coffee. Came with a nice heart design though.

Yelp
[We visited the location on S. Central Ave] Upon entering the restaurant, it initially appeared to be a small establishment, but once I entered, it was astonishing. I loved (almost) everything about the interior- from the decorations to the ambiance. I will say, some of the chairs were not as comfortable as others. The bakery is in the rear, which there is also small giftshop as you enter the restaurant, along with a very long bar area, the main dining room an then a small quaint coffee shop. You have a bird's eye view of the bakery itself as you dine (or drink) inside. We visited on a Monday afternoon, and even with many people there, it still had a very cozy feel. The menu was OVERWHELMING, as there seemed to be many diverse food options. The portion sizes were huge! So be prepared to share or take food home We ordered a few items like the chilli, the BLT, caesar salad and the italian Piadina. We also got custom mimosas- I ordered and Apple Cider mimosa [befitting of the season], and it was DELICIOUS! Be sure to order the bread. It was scrumptious! I will say that anytime I am in the mood for a good lunch spot, I will for sure return. Even to just purchase from the bakery, it would be well worth the trip.

Yelp
Kneads is very pretty and very convenient, but I'd not return. The first time I visited, I waited at the host stand. Staff behind the bakery counter just stared at me. After a while, someone came to seat me, and advise they were understaffed. Which is fine, but some could have let me know that a host would be over shortly. On that first visit, my server was awesome, and I loved my latte. I thought the shrimp and grits were fine. Not the best I've had but decent and I enjoyed the homemade hot sauce. On my second visit, we were seated immediately. It took our server a while to come over, and they were fine, but it was not like the service my first time. We ordered lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and a pistachio baklava donut. The donut was so good. The breakfast sandwiches were awful. We both hated our sandwiches and the cheese was not even melted. I cannot believe the the kitchen staff prepared that and the expediter and server both saw that and thought it was acceptable to serve. I knew right then I'd never return. Seems Kneads has a culture of poor customer service and unknowledgeable staff. I still bought some bread here because I didn't want to walk over to Oven Bird and I saw they had savory pastries, which are harder to find, so I figured I'd try, as the donut was good. I regret both decisions and do not recommend this place at all.

Yelp
I love the layout of this bakeshop. The service was slow to the point we almost left. But the food came out pretty quick. I had the steak egg cheese bagel which was just ok to me. The bagel was soggy because of the short rib. And it overall was just missing that extra flavor to take it to the next level. My mom had the quiche which was a bit more wet than we would've liked. That was also just ok. The baked goods looked great though. Should've stuck to basics would come back and have regular baked goods.

Yelp
I like that the take out line goes by pretty quick and there's seating while you wait. They do not offer sugar free coffee flavors but a regular latte was still very good, I'd probably get that over flavors even if they offered them. Very very good! We got 6-7 different pastries and baked goods.. all of which was great. The croissants were out of this world light, flaky, amazing... but we paid for a chocolate croissant and received a plain one. Didn't realize it until we were already on the road back home to Virginia.

Yelp
I have been to Kneads in Harbor East several times, which is always a pleasure. The place is huge. I have only gone on the weekdays and I have been able to get a seat with my family. I'm not sure what the wait time is on the weekends. The first time I went I had a smoked chai latte that I dreamed about for some time afterwards. I had a chorizo skillet, my mom had waffles and said they were the best she ever had. My brother had a fried ham, cheese, and egg sandwich that had a generous amount of melted cheese. The service was friendly and we were not rushed as we hung out and talked. The second time, I forgot I had the chorizo skillet the first time. They no longer put plantain chips on the skillet which is good. It was what I liked least about it the first time I had it. My mom had quiche and my brother had a smoked salmon omelet. They were both wonderful and I will get one of them next time. The sizes were generous too, which is good because the entrees are almost $20 or more. But you know what they say about quality... Also, this place has booze!!!! I had an adult Pumpkin Spice Latte and I feel like I should start my day with a little special something in my latte whether I have to go to work or not. I went to an Afternoon Tea which was cute and I left full. I look forward to checking this place out for dinner.

Yelp
I have been to the harbor east location many times and have never been disappointed. The service is fast. the food is amazing and the drinks are even better I'm saying the lattes and non alcoholic drinks are to die for. The ambiance is chill, when the weather is nice sit on the patio. The decor inside is literally amazing and you will not see anything like it in any cafe in baltimore area. Whether it's dine in or carry out, you will not be dismayed'n

Yelp
Great coffee and amazing cinnamon buns, banana Whoopi pie, crème brûlée and ube donuts. I've tried several of the lattes and coffee drinks which are all middle of the road but decent.

Yelp
Been wanting to try Kneads since I moved to Baltimore a year ago, so fitting that I finally got to try it on the day that I am leaving. Parking itself is really difficult to find because of the area, but if you're lucky there's a few metered parking spots right outside the building. There's a "to go" only area where you can get breads, pastries (croissants, donuts, etc.), or other desserts (Bundt cakes, cheesecakes, etc.). For lunch, I had an Arnold Palmer to drink (which was great-- the barista did tell me she only put 4 pumps of syrup instead of the usual 6, and I think that was a great call). To eat, I had the tuna melt, which was pretty average. It was lacking just a little bit of salt and seasoning. To go, we ordered a couple of pastries-- ube donut, basque cheesecake and carrot cake Bundt. Can't wait to try them over the next few days!

Yelp
Smoked Chai Latte This was the star of the day! Excellent smokey smell and taste! I love a good smoked tea and this was a winner. My absolute favorite of all the items I got. Apple Cider Doughnut Great apple cider glaze, hits you on the forefront and back. The yeast donut was good. I would have preferred if they had not refrigerated it, cause the cold air messes with the bread molecules making it a tad tougher. Other than that a solid donut. Pistachio Baklava Filled Doughnut A neat take on a beloved dessert. It was good in concept. The pistachio filling was light and not overly sweet. The doughnut was soft, again I think placing the good in the frig is taking away from the fullness that the flavor could have had. It would've been better if the baklava had more of a honey presence and wasn't as dry. Baltimore Brew Doughnut Presentation drew me in for this one. Sadly it was just, meh. The coffee filling needed a stronger bolder coffee. They also rushed mixing cause there were chunks of flour that I bit into. They definitely knock it out the park with presentation. The drinks to me were the flagship and the doughnuts were pretty good. Service was nothing to write home about, nothing bad and nothing reportable.

Yelp
I came in for Sunday brunch. There was a little wait to be seated (no reservations on the weekends). Ive been several times, but this experience was not as stellar as the last time. The service fromThe hostess and server was really good, but I didn't enjoy all of my food. I ordered the smoked chai tea latte which was really good!! But then I ordered the burrata caprese on focaccia. The sandwich was advertised as being pressed, and I don't feel like it was. The combination just didn't come together well for me. Perhaps using mozzarella instead of burrata to really melt and get a genuine cheese pull. Ive had the focaccia as a starter in the past, but this time it lacked flavor and did nothing for the sandwich. I also got a side of turkey bacon which was overcooked. Each visit the potato preparation is different. This time they were topped with old bay and brown sugar, which was quite tasty. My friend noted her apple cider mimosa didn't have much apple cider flavor. As always the restaurant is beautiful! I'll stick to the pizza on another visit.

Yelp
I hate that kneads is owned by atlas group because they really are taking over the city and they couldn't care less about customer service and the locals. But, I had to try it. The place is beautiful and they have quite an extensive menu. I especially like that they have breakfast, lunch and then also a late night menu. I didn't get a particularly warm welcome when I walked in, but my order was taken quickly. There's a walk up counter for quick to go orders, or a sit down area. I went with a latte (decent) and a pumpkin muffin (delicious) but overall it was way overpriced and the staff didn't make me want to rush to come back. There are so many other places in the city that I want to give my business to over this one.
