A New, Regularly Updated Round-Up of Nashville Restaurant Closings | Eater Nashville

"I noted that the casual Jefferson Street wing-maker Knockout Wings posted in early January that they are closed “until further notice”; they were known for serving some of the city’s best wings and for their well-loved “rope a dope honey biscuits.”" - Delia Jo Ramsey

The boneless chicken is not real chicken breast bites or dark meat for that matter.. It’s more like the Dino Tyson Nuggets but with legit batter on the outside, you know the spongey consistency with a few hard peices of meat thrown in there..Not at all what I was expecting and quite disappointing. The bone in have no choice but to be real 🤔🤔🤔. Anyways the fries were good, I like soggy fries and they were seasoned. Next time I try a new chicken establishment I’m going to ask if the boneless chicken is actual chicken breast. Don’t know I needed to do that.

The wings were incredible -- super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The flavors were bold and well-seasoned, especially the spicy options. Everything came out fresh and hot. The fries are also have a very good seasoning, well done and crispy. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. They were very kind.and treated us very well. Overall, a great spot for delicious wings and a chill, welcoming vibe. The place is soo pretty on the inside. Once you enter it smells really good! It has the best wings I've ever tried! Definitely coming back!

My husband and his friend just thought their wings were OK. I ordered them lemon pepper and Jamaican jerk. The restaurant did not separate them or identify what kind was what. Based on their opinion, they did not taste any lemon pepper at all. I ordered the boneless honey, gold wings, and they were delicious to me. The gentleman offered me a slice of Keylime pie. He was very nice. The young lady working the register was decent as well. Location was nice and clean and a vibrant atmosphere. I am actually back today to get the honey gold wings for a second time. I wish they would allow you more flavors per order and also the ability to substitute the side item.

Amazing and beautiful atmosphere! Very welcoming and clean. Julissia was very sweet and quick. They didn’t have a high chair but was very accommodating to get one for us! The food looked amazing! We got the Korean barbecue chicken! It was a tad too salty but the fries were magnificent! Overall 10/10 experience!

We visited around the time they opened and loved it so much we have to come back. The wings are packed with flavor and so fresh! Every flavor we ordered did not disappoint! The pricing was amazing, especially for bone-in wings. The vibe is nice too! With the decor and complimentary drinks was a nice touch. This is my new favorite wing place here in OKC for sure!

Edit: I posted my review, few hours later, 2 positive reviews appear of the flavors I mentioned. Fake reviews by the owner to balance out real ones. Not a good look. Yikes..changed to 1-star The atmosphere and service were great but unfortunately the food was a huge let down. Wings tasted frozen, they were not fried properly, had little flavor and all needed more sauce. We also received two broken wings, for a brand new place they should have better quality control. Fries were soggy and lukewarm, definitely not fresh. Did not look like other people’s review photos. There was a lot of potential with the flavor choices but we expected bold, exciting, crispy wings full of flavors, with homemade sauces and dips, that knock you out. Maybe we went on a bad day, but we left disappointed. Unfortunately, the saigon wings were definitely not proper saigon. Extremely fish saucy, missing flavors of brightness, no tang or zesty flavor or any spice to them. Just straight up fish sauce, it was borderline disgusting. Missing any aromatic base to create the sweet and savory balance saigon wings are known for. Buffalo, severely under sauced. Overcooked. The menu picture showed them drenched in sauce the ones we received had little to no sauce. Not sure what the bayou flavor was supposed to be as they didn’t have much flavor at all. Thai chili was tasty, but was expecting a bit more flavor. It did not taste homemade rather tasted like any grocery store sweet chili sauce with sesame seed added to it. No tang, no zest. The drinks were tasty. Employees are kind, unfortunately the wings were mediocre at best.

Complimentary tea is so good, matcha tea top tier and wings are so good!!!!! I ask for all flats extra crispy and got just that. The workers are so friendly, helpful and patient. They also offer military discount. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I posted on google, but it was so good, I had to review on here too. This hidden gem will not disappoint! Every wing flavor packs a punch and is so hot, fresh, and crunchy with every bite. Our boxes are always filled to the brim. We liked the size of the wings, and they definitely don't skimp out on flavor. We got the mozzarella sticks too and they had a good cheese pull with a nice crunch. They've only been open a short amount of time and we're already repeat customers. The service is amazing! Every employee we interacted with was so friendly and gave great recommendations. The servers who brought us our food and desserts were the sweetest and gave us everything with a big smile. It made our day for sure. This place has a great vibe to hang out with friends or family, cause they have tons of seating to choose from. We loved the decor as well! I also loved the fact that they offer complimentary drinks such as water and sweet tea. All in all, this place is a new favorite. It's hard to find a good wing place with great prices and tasty wings. I would recommend stopping by and giving it a try!

Yelp
We were in the area and noticed a new place in the shopping center. I ordered the 10 piece boneless wings with lemon pepper seasoning and another person in my group ordered the 8 piece bone-in wings with a couple of their sauces and another person ordered the Philly cheesesteak. We got our food rather quickly. However, the speed didn't make the experience better. The Philly wasn't very flavorful and tasted bland. We didn't put too much thought into it since it is a wing place. The boneless wings were just okay. They dumped a lot of the lemon pepper seasoning onto them so you tasted more of the seasoning rather than the actual chicken. There was really no flavor to the chicken. The breading was dry and hard as a rock. I got ranch with them but that didn't help with how dry the wings were. The bone-in wings were kind of the same. Lots of sauce but not a lot of flavor. Overall, we probably won't be back. There wasn't really anything to write home about. Could get better chicken from either the Raising Cane's across the street or McDonalds.

Yelp
Well I was looking forward to trying Knockout, and I knew I was taking a chance going on day one. As expected it was pure directionless chaos. Fried okra tasted Syscoish. Had to throw out. Wings tasted old... Had to throw out. ‍‍. But... I will try again. Unfair to judge on first day open. Just wanted to relay my experience.

Yelp
Their wings are great! They have a lot of different flavors. All have been really good so far. I ordered online and picked up twice without issue.

Yelp
Great service with a very friendly staff! The wings are unique flavors that meld classic with innovative. I enjoyed the fact that the spicy wings had actual spice and heat to them!

Yelp
While the food was okay, our two visits we never got our complete order. They staple the brown bag shut, and I trusted them both ties. The ambiance is nice but there is never many people (talking 6 total), if any at all in the dining room. Do not recommend considering it's literally wasting my money.

Yelp
As an avid wing lover when I saw this place online I had to try it, walking on on a Sunday there was not that many people. I ordered the 10 piece bone in Lemon pepper and their most popular ( knockout punch )with fries and their dumplings was not too badly priced but the wait was about 20 mins, the restaurant had a nice dining area with good music playing. I got home and the fries were soggy (probably because of the drive) but had good flavor, the dumplings tasted a bit overcooked but also just okay The knockout sauce reminded me of buffalo wilds wings blazin sauce, not a lot of flavor with a lot of heat. And the lemon pepper was good very lemony, overall the wings were just okay, really disappointed I didn't like this more. Might go back to see if it's different next time

Yelp
Service was good and friendly. Nice clean place. Wings were ok. Probably won't be going back. I'm giving it a 3 star because the place was cool and the service was good.

Yelp
I tried this place today bc the reviews but I see this place was recently know for suspicious reviews and it makes sense. We spent over $40 and the wings was hard and must've been cooked in old oil. the ranch couldnt be homemade. didn't taste well. We didn't like the flavors on wings either. I WOULD'NT RECOMMEND !!!!! I love to support small businesses but I leave honest review and this place ain't it.

Yelp
Wanting this to be as constructive as possible for the management/owners. I'll start with the positives: 1. The staff was kind. 2. The flavors were tasty. 3. The prices were fair. The negatives: 1. More than once, the cook made it very apparent to the cashier that she made a mistake. It felt gross to me. 2. The bone-in wings were very small. Both flats and drums. Might not be the restaurants fault, but the fact remains. 3. The orders were not prepared in sequence (the 4 person order after me was finished before my 2 person order). 4. Had to wait a bit for my order, (not the problem), but all the TVs were off and unplugged on a CFB Saturday. 4. Taking everything into consideration as it is right now, for the price and quality, I'd rather go to BWW.
