Claudia was Amazing! This was a Grupon experience and sometimes you don’t know what to expect but as soon as I got there Claudia greeted me with a smile. Her knowledge and warmth were both valued and noticeable. I had the most relaxing facial in a long time. She knew her craft and it showed. HIGHLY recommend this place and Claudia!!!

Knots in Knead offers a plethora of services and the building (both inside and out) is so cute and decorated perfectly! I had an enzyme facial with Giselle and she was responsive to my needs and professional in all manners. I walked out feeling relaxed and refreshed! They have so many great deals and memberships available. I will be returning monthly!

Monthly member here. I've had both massages and facials at Knots in Knead and I can truly say that everyone on staff is a professional! Great experiences every time I come. The membership is a great way to schedule yourself some self-care every month. Shout out to Daniela, the massage therapist I really resonate with. She has an intuitive sense of the muscles and skeleton, and works hard to make sure your massage is perfect. She listens to you, adjusts her pressure and technique, and really cares about her craft. Giselle is my esthetician and she's great too. Her recommendations are spon on, and she is so gentile with extractions. My skin always glows after a treatment with Giselle and I've adopted much of her advice into my skincare routine. Thank you all, and see you again next month!

I got the 50 minute facial with enzyme exfoliant. Giselle did an amazing job. I've never been so relaxed before. All the products they used smelled like candy. This was my first facial treatment and I'm definitely going to come back for another!

This was my first time ever getting a facial, and I found a Groupon for Knots in Knead (my appointment was easy to schedule online). I was able to find a space in the small parking lot in front on a weekday morning. The space and decor were really cute, and the atmosphere felt very tranquil overall. The massage/facial room also had a very soothing atmosphere, and they played music in the background. I had Kaia for my facial, and she did an amazing job. Her hands were really gentle, and my face felt super relaxed (I felt like I could fall asleep). I believe she used various moisturizers and products for cleansing, and did exfoliation and extractions (the extractions were surprisingly uncomfortable though and felt like pricks on my skin). The neck and shoulder massage was also nice. Afterwards, my skin was glowing and it felt more hydrated (probably from the steaming too). I would definitely return to Knots in Knead for another facial in the future.

April is the best massage therapist in San Diego! She takes very good care of you, listens to your needs, and overall she's just a great person! I highly recommend April to anyone looking for a great relaxing massage!

Got accupucture today with Dr Ellly. It was fabulous. I feel so relaxed. I grind my teeth and had a headache when I arrived. My headache is gone and my jaw feels so loose. I highly recommend!!!

I've been going to Knots in Knead for monthly facials for about 2 years now. Jess runs the place like a pro offering many reasonably priced "add-on" services. Today I'm giving a special shout out to Kaia. I asked for an add-on treatment and she recommended dermaplaning ... which I had never done before. My skin has been glowing and Kaia did it with skilled detail. I feel pampered and love the way my skin looks. 5-stars to Knots in Knead.

This new salon is amazing. I just walked by and decided to give it a try. Amanda is very friendly and her attention to detail is much appreciated. I recommend this salon to everyone, you will thank yourself for the great feeling.

This was my first visit my friend & I found a Groupon, so we decided to try it. We weren't able to get two appointments at the same time. We did back-to-back appointments. Daniela gave a wonderful massage today. She really understands her craft & does an amazing job. If you want deep tissue she can deliver great pressure. I will definitely be back. The parking lot is small, but the inside is very cute. It's clean & relaxing. The girls are very friendly & make you feel welcome.

Disclaimer: I get both massages and facials at this location. I am a member, and I don't forsee myself ending my membership anything soon because consistency is lovely. I actually might upgrade from 50 minutes to 80 minutes because the need is there. Anyway. So, the massages. I LOVE my visits with Daniel. He is an absolute gem. He is my first male masseuse, and honestly, I am so happy that we got paired together because I feel so safe/comfortable, and I feel so much better after every visit. I've been seeing him for 4-5 months? Something like that. Daniel is such a smart guy, and he is very knowledgeable about the body and the ways in which things connect. He does deep tissue, thai, stretch, and maybe more? Either way, he is very attentive and very considerate of the pressure you are comfortable with, and he will check in if you react or feel any pain. No one massage is the same, and we work together to establish what the plan is going to be the day of. Daniel will ask me what I want to work on for the day, and he's flexible when it comes to making adjustments if new spots come up during the massage. Additionally, he has taught me little tricks to do at home when I want to massage myself while we wait for our next appointment. Off topic, but on topic, I really enjoy the atmosphere and the vibe when I go into his room. The music, when we play music, is always great, and the conversation is always fun and consistent. I genuinely feel like he cares about my day and what's going on in my life, and I feel comfortable asking questions in return. To me, having good rapport with the professional I am working with is super important, especially when I trust them with something as key as my health. I have had a slew of injuries since 2018, and I have been in and out of doctor's and physical health professionals' offices consistently since then, so having someone reliable and trustworthy matters. Now the facials. So, right now, I am seeing Claudia. She is great! When I scheduled my first appointment, I was very transparent regarding the run around I had gone through with all the suggestions beauty stylists would give me at Ulta regarding what type of skin I had and the products I used. When she asked me what my goals were regarding my face, I had no idea what to tell her beyond, "I want to establish some routine and figure out my actual skin profile." That was all she needed to move forward with me. My first session was super easygoing and informative. Claudia explained the products she used and what they did, and she walked me through the entire facial, answering any questions I had. She made suggestions based on what she saw under the light, and she gave me samples to take home! I've only gotten two facials with Claudia, but she is very pleasant, and I enjoy my visits with her and the atmosphere of her room as well. She is very relatable, and she is honest regarding her suggestions and her experiences that led her to be where she's at. I really enjoy both team members I work with and am happy with the services I have received so far. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to create a self-care routine. Parking is available. Depending on what time you go, that'll determine what's open... but I usually find street parking just fine in the morning and late afternoon. This is an "appointment only" location, but appointments are super easy to set!

I purchased a facial and massage package for my bday. Both Kaia and Alex were amazing! Kaia left me glowing and my skin feeling hydrated with her facial! Alex gave me an awesome massage with amazing pressure, she left me feeling like I was walking in the clouds. Thank you ladies for making my self care day so special!

Such a great experience and little gem. I treated myself to a deep tissue massage from Ryan and 30 min. sauna. Ryan has a great personality and talked me through what I had wanted to focus on during the session! Felt welcomed and definitely helped me relieve stress. Their membership prices and Groupon deals aren't that bad (currently an extra 25% new customer specific groupons). Process was easy, just made my appointment, redeemed the voucher, and signed a waiver before starting. They have soothing music that plays throughout, and each room is cleaned well. I was provided a bath robe, cold towels with essential oils, and cold water for the sauna. You may adjust the temperature as well, which was nice.

Very knowledgeable and work through my sciatica discomfort. Highly recommend Daniel and the Thai massage.

I have been searching for a new massage spot since mine closed after the Covid shutdowns (*sad*). Yesterday I had my first massage with Daniel at Knots in Knead. He offers Thai massage, which is one of my favorites, and that is what I had done. It is not exactly a "relaxing" experience as it requires intense stretching and pressure, and you will have to be ok with having someone climb on you, but you come away from it feeling amazing! Daniel also performed an abdominal massage which I really enjoyed for just the breathing exercise alone. I woke up feeling fantastic this morning and can't wait for my next session. And about the facility... don't let the "precious" decor fool you. This place is legit. The feeling is uber-girlie and you half expect to see pixies flying around, but it made me smile IMMEDIATELY when I walked in. It sort of set me up mentally to expect a wonderfully pampering experience. They seem to do an exceptional job of combining a fun frilly aesthetic with a very clean and organized facility. I was impressed! I even bought a membership because I just KNEW I would be a regular!

I have been enjoying my experiences here. The waiting area is a great place to unwind before or between services. If you need some self care and are looking for somewhere to go, this is the place!

Firstly, Alexandra gives a killer massage. Her deep tissue is no joke. And some passive stretching too which can really make a difference. I'll visit her again for sure. The room is cozy and the linens are soft and comfy. The music is relaxing. Staff is friendly. The only thing I noted this time and with another massage I had here a year ago is that the assigned time was short. I signed up for 120 minutes at 2:15. She started a few minutes late (2:25?) and ended at 4:05. I arrived by 2:10. I'm used to my massages being the full assigned time, not including changing time. Does this place do if differently? My 80 minute ended short by 10 minutes too :/

Found this place on Groupon and thought I would give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! My masseuse, Jenn, was amazing! I told her about pain in my right shoulder and she still massaged it but went much lighter. Overall a great experience and highly recommended!

I need to write a review for Daniel! one of the best massages I have had. he pin pointed the exactly where my pain was located. located afyer not sleeping for three days of pain it's now much better and able to sleep. He is very knowledgeable! and I plan to go again next week. Thank you for helping me with sciatica!!!!

I had my first ever facial done by Kaia and I now understand why it is the ultimate self care. Kaia made sure to ask me about my skin issues and was respectful of my concerns. She did such a such a wonderful job helping me relax and making my skin feel better than it ever has. Plus the shop is so cute and inviting!

First time here and had such a wonderful experience. My friend recommended this place and I found a Groupon for a facial so I definitely had to go. Claudia did my facial and did such an amazing job. I addressed some concerns and she customized my facial to my skin needs. There were add ons available and she recommended one that I could benefit from and educated me on the product. I felt relaxed during the whole facial and left glowing and rejuvenated. I'm already thinking about when I could go for my next visit! Place is clean, easy to find, and there's parking.

I did a Groupon facial back in September and I remember that one being much better and the person helping me was very informative and took her time with the extractions. I came back today for a facial and for $125 (facial + $30 for dermaplane) it was just average. Not sure if it's because I'm a returning customer but she definitely just did 4-5 places on my face for extractions and then was done (took only a few minutes). To my knowledge extractions are to clear pores, and from previous experience they always took their time and made sure to get the gunk out. I was confused to see a bunch of gunk in my nose area and chin area when I went home. Would come as a Groupon customer but not as a returning one. You can get a better facial for $125.

Love love love this place! You wouldn't think this gem would be found in the middle of Eastside San Diego but there it is. All the girls are just sweet and lovely, making sure they greet you right as you walk in. The decorations is Iike my inner princess's dream. Filled with pinks, flowers, lights, and smells so clean and fruity. I've been going here for awhile now seeing Kaylei for my facials and she is just the sweetest. Always making sure she's educating me on what's going on with my skin, while encouraging different treatments without pushing me or forcing me to do add ons. I highly recommend coming here. Jessica and her girls are delightful. Great prices and overall great service.

My favorite massage yet! I entered with a welcome from who I think was the owner. I had a Groupon and I didn't have to pull up the info. She had it on hand and asked me to fill out a quick form that asked about myself and massage expectations. I really appreciated that there was a box that asked if I wanted my therapist to be masked. I opted out but it's nice to know that they care about all people's comfort level. After i was greeted by Leslie, the massage therapist i chose. She asked me what areas i wanted her to focus on. I didn't really know what to say but mentioned that i tend to have tension in my neck and shoulders mostly. Throughout the whole session, Leslie focused on my neck and shoulders. She found knots and really did her best to relieve the stress and tension. Each time she heard me cringe a bit from the pain, she would ask me if I was ok and to let her know if she should go lighter. I appreciated that because im a quiet person that doesn't always say what i want. I didn't ask her to go lighter though because the pain felt good on my neck and shoulders. She also told me about my tension causing me headaches. Im so glad i found this spot on Groupon. I think i found my go to massage place! Oh another plus is that i was able to book on their website even with a Groupon. No need to make a phone call. That added on to my stress-free experience. Nice aesthetics too.

Calling all Veterans! If you have chronic back, shoulder or neck pain, you need to come here! I had chronic pain right between my shoulder blades for the last 7 years of my active duty military life that would not go away no matter what I did. I had to give up cycling due to the pain. My wife got me a Groupon to try Knots in Knead out. I am so glad I went! Jessica, the owner, somehow "combed" my back and shoulder muscles and then suggested cupping. I was skeptical, but had nothing to lose. After a couple of sessions, the pain I endured for 7 years of my life was gone! It's difficult to comprehend how massage can change one's life. It is priceless. This is what I use my disability check for and it is well worth it. Just get a membership and don't look back. I always look forward to my monthly massage at Knots in Knead. Awesome owner and staff!

Came back for Ryan's massage session . I went over 80 massage spa in past 20yrs I had only one gentleman was 10/10 skilled. Today I met Ryan he is another 10/10 skilled masseurs . He is and I guarantee!! H has highest massage skills . I thought he practice sports meds or eastern meds or something ..." that GOOD " if you request Ryan " ahead you won't regret . After great deep massage did facial with kaylie again very very satisfied. AGAIN I THANKS TO OWER JSSICA AND STAFF RYAN AND KAYLIE ! I received a facial with giselle she is absolutely amazing, she speaks spanish which i loved. She is very gentle and shares alot of her knowledge i didnt feel pressure to purchase anything. I arrived late and they were not rude at all about it. The thing is that theirs hardly and parking so arrive early just for parking

Not exaggerating; I've had 100s of massages from 50+ people all over the world. Leslie, you are the best massage therapist I've ever had. She hit knots on my body that I never knew I had, and she would point them out before she would work on them, I am convinced she has mutant power of knot seeking. Her knowledge of nerves and muscle connections, more than impressive. It was hard to keep a conversation going cuz she'd keep finding more knots mid sentence, but she knew I've been recently getting headaches and I sleep on my side without even telling her. The facility was great, it shows a lot of personality. The place is a lot bigger than how it looks outside. Plaza parking lot is a bit tight, but you can park in the street. I'd park miles away to get a massage from this place. Thanks for the experience, and for being here and being a part of my life. Definitely coming in the near future and recommending others to do so.

This place is super cute! It is evident the owner put a lot of thought into decorating every corner of the spa. Mr. Jackson was a wonderful masseuse! My massage was the perfect blend of relaxation and deep pressure, and the sugar foot scrub was eye-rolling. Thank you so much!

I wish I could give more than five stars! I haven't even been out of my facial for 30 minutes and I needed to make sure to leave a review. My niece gifted me a Groupon to have a facial done because I had never gotten one before. I was excited but didn't know what to expect because I have quite a few issues with my skin. I checked out their reviews before going and couldn't believe how great they all were. After going, I can say that the very few negative reviews were a bit silly. I will say that you should definitely give yourself a bit of extra time to find parking because it is in a weird area. Don't let the area fool you though, this place was beautiful! The decor was so nice and relaxing, I did expect it you smell like roses or something, and it didn't, but that's not a big deal. Claudia did my facial and I don't understand why there are not more reviews calling her out. Maybe she's new, I'm not sure, but I don't think I will go to anyone else the next time I get a facial. She gave me some great suggestions and made sure to not use products on my skin that she thought might harm it. She was so knowledgeable and I am so impressed. This was only my first time there and I have not used any of their other services (yet) but the experience was better than any type of spa treatment I've had before. I was able to relax which is hard for me to do. I could go on and on but then people might stop reading lol. Go here!!! I will 100% be back!

So cute! Everyone there was so sweet. My aesthetician was Bella and she was so sweet and had such a calm energy. I got the enzyme exfoliating mask and my skin is so smooth and even. Might be my new favorite treatment.

What a hidden gem! Went for the first time today for a facial and I loved every part of my experience. Walking in the atmosphere was so cute and cozy. I was seen by Claudia and she couldn't have been nicer. The room were very clean, soft music played and I felt relaxed the entire time. Smash or pass? It's a hard SMA-ASH! This was my very first professional massage. I also, typically don't like being touched and have a hard time undressing in front of strangers but... KHYRAN! Made this experience very magical. I felt very comfortable from before we started to when we had session. I swear his hands are made of Unicorn. If you're looking for deep tissue massage and stretching I definitely recommend KHYRAN. He took his time to get to know all my pressure points I had and gave me a lot of relief from all the tension build up I have. He also provided me with after care things I can practice to help. Found this slice of pink heaven on earth thanks to Groupon. I am a sucker for an infrared sauna and they had a package where you could add it on to massage or facial! Fanny was wonderful and left my skin glowing with hydration Can't wait to go back, they might have a new member on their hands

If you are looking for a quaint spot for relaxation...definitely recommend this spot. Cute, Tranquil Vibe to get lost in for the busy hustle & bustle of life. Got the foot detox & infrared sauna treatment and was just what me & my wife needed. Different massage services are offered as well, excited to check out the different packages. Extremely soothing & great customer service from entry. Will be back soon!

I had a great experience here. This was my first ever facial and Claudia made me feel so comfortable and offered to explain what she was doing step by step. The facial was the custom facial + microdermabrasion and it was amazing. It was so relaxing and everything that happened to my face felt so good! They seem to put a lot of care into what they do and the comfort of their customers. Plus the place itself is very cute and calm. I'll definitely be back.

This place its amazing! I had a great experience with the Sauna infrared and a massage. Jessica was phenomenal! The Sauna experience it's very pleasant, they provide a cool towel to refresh, very nice touch to the whole experience.
