One of Seoul’s Coolest Korean Restaurants Hojokban Is Opening in LA | Eater LA

"Also occupying the same building at 734 East Third Street will be another GFFG Hospitality concept: Knotted, a cream-filled doughnut shop with 16 locations in South Korea that served over 11 million doughnuts in 2022. The pink-and-yellow-themed shop presents colorful fritters inside illuminated glass pastry cases and is slated to open around the same time as Hojokban in 2025." - Matthew Kang

Tried to take my girlfriend here on her birthday, but they were closed. They never updated their Google hours of operation to indicate they’d be closed over the holiday’s. We drove 30 minutes to get here. Very disappointed.

I’ve been coming here for years to buy my quality yarn products. The customer service is always warm and welcoming. They have a rewards program, which makes me as a frequent buyer feel even more appreciated. The only place I will buy my yarn wonders 🧶.

Fantastic customer service! I saw an absolutely wonderful canvas on social media and I instantly ordered on line. Canvas arrived wrapped beautifully as well as extremely fast. I cant wait to order from this wonderful store again soon.

Very aware of Covid protocol. Has packages for pickup. Still has small groups meeting. Set me up for knitting and helped figure out what I was doing.

Yelp
Two months ago I came into the store looking for some angora thread and Becky had a few cards of it, which I purchased. I still needed several more, and as I discovered, it was very hard to get. Fortunately I eventually was able to find the remainder I needed to finish my project. This morning I received a voicemail saying they found 6 cards for me. I was so impressed with their follow-up! It's hard to find that kind of service any more!

Yelp
Great store with everything a stitcher needs. I Becky doesn't have what you want she can get it for you or guide you to something better.

Yelp
I saw this business online first and the pictures do not let it down! The shop is beautifully organized and picturesque! I wish I could snap a photo for my Pinterest board haha. The staff are very nice and keep in mind their customers when considering what to do about Covid. They provide you with hand sanitizer in the front and back of the store, and the employees wear their masks to ensure customer safety. A lovely shop! :)

Yelp
Took an outstanding needlework class at this beautiful shop-wow selection of threads for every project. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. A must visit!

Yelp
Have purchased high quality thread here for past projects, always shopping with my wife (a knitter). Stopped in without her the other day, and wearing a mask I was barely allowed in the door. Employee yelled at me from the moment I stepped inside , "Where do YOU think YOU'RE going?" I think she meant I needed to sign in and use some sanitizer before I shopped, but she did not make this clear first or use an iota of kindness before she turned aggressive and mean. I was taken aback, and asked her if she didn't want me as a customer. She scoffed, and as I attempted to shop she followed and harassed me, not giving me space, making me very uncomfortable, and interrogating me with questions like, "Why are YOU here? What are YOU shopping for? Can I help you find something?" I knew exactly what I wanted, but she refused to leave me alone to look for it. She then ranted about how I must be there for fly fishing material and how I was looking in the wrong place for the fly tying thread, and it occurred to me why she had been so antagonistic the entire time: somehow she didn't think a man could or should shop in this store. According to the sign up sheet, I was only the second customer of the day, and it was clear that I was not welcome there and the store did not want or need my money. If men are not welcome to shop at the Knotted Needle, I suggest they put up a sign outside to make that clear. If that is not the case, perhaps the staff needs a little training about the diversity of the fiber arts community and how it's not good business to make outmoded assumptions about customers. I was hoping this employee was just having a bad day, and attempted to contact the store by email and Facebook message to find out if that was the case before leaving this review, but was ignored. So I can only assume that ownership/management tacitly approves of treating its customers this way.
