The History of Indiana’s Pork Tenderloin Sandwich | Eater

"An annual county fair where standing in a long, steamy August line for a pork tenderloin sandwich is a childhood rite of passage; the sandwich is a thinly pounded, breaded, deep-fried cut that famously hangs over the bun, and at its best features crisp, crunchy breading, juicy well-seasoned meat, a toasted bun that holds up to grease, simple condiments, and often comically oversized edges that may need to be nibbled or cut off before biting." - Samantha Weiss Hills

I've not been to the fairground in years. I took my family up there to see junkyard racing wonderfully exciting they moved over to the fair which was highly disappointing as I recall they used to have a Midway that was lit up and lots of things going on this time I walked onto the Midway I wasn't for sure where I was at it had three games and about four rides that was the entire just of the Fair so disappointing 😞

Kids get the chance to work hard and show off their 4H animals and adults get to have all the fun racing in motocross, the tractor pull, or hog wrestling! Of course the food is great too! We go every year and have a blast.

Not at all impressed. First of all not well marked where to turn into the place. The track was not a good track. They would start the next race before all prior race bikes were off track. No concern for saftey!! The flaggers -- 4 total starter, finish line, and 2 that were side by side which sat under a tent most of the time. Even when riders would fall down. If they did come out from under the tent they flagged in front of the fallen rider??? No concern for safety!! The starter stood on the track to start practice races then for actual races he moved so he could sit down next to fence. For younger riders it was confusing. No concern for safety!! No ambulance on site if needed. The grandstand area grass had not been mowed for weeks and. was very tall. The grandstand area trash cans were full and overflowing when we first arrived. Positive point: The trophy plaques were very different and very nice!!
