We did the Holston River unguided trip with our family and it was a great experience. It was very easy to set up online. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions and got us going right on time. We had a change of the number of kayaks at the last minute and they handled that with no complaints at all. We plan on giving them more business in the future and I highly recommend them.

My boyfriend and I rented two single kayaks and had such a great time! The service was fantastic—everything was super easy and smooth from start to finish. The staff were incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend!

Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. I even learned a cool trick to keep the straps holding the kayak down from flipping in the wind. I rented a kayak for the day and took it out to Oak Ridge with my dog. We had a great time, the kayak was perfect, and there were no issues at all with it or anything else that day. I’m in the market for my own kayak, but until then I will certainly keep Knoxville Adventure Collective in mind for any other day trips I want to make! Thank you all!

We had a great paddle down the TN River (and Holston River). The people at Knoxville Adventure Collective were extremely friendly and helpful. I was nervous about finding the take-out spot, but their directions were fantastic. We will definitely do more trips with them in the future!!

This was a fun, family friendly activity. The river was nice and calm. So it was easy for those of us who have never kayaked before. Definitely recommend this for an outdoor adventure.

I 100% recommend this place! We're from IN and visit TN at least twice a year. There were 5 of us this time (2 adults in 40s, 2 adults in 20s, and a 10 YO). We rented mountain bikes. We reserved them ahead of time to ensure we could all get one. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. They have bottle holders if you want one on the bike. Helmets and locks were included. I did have a small issue with my bike tire, but I returned once it was noticed and they fixed it right away. We rode to Baker Creek and did the trails there, then rode to Market Square, with finding another mountain trail along the way. We ALL had such a great time! We're definitely using Knoxville Adventure Collective again, for the bikes and to try their kayaking! Thank you for providing this service!!

I used them to rent a boat to canoe along the river downtown. They made the whole process really simple and were exceptionally accommodating for me, even when we couldn't quite get there during their normal business hours to pick-up the boat. I will absolutely rent from them again. We had a great time and they were really a pleasure to work with.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Put in at Holston River Park and paddled past the nature center and downtown on the TN River. It was a bit of a workout paddling against the wind but fun! Everything was provided, including a free drybag I borrowed.

Yelp
Great rates! Supportive staff. A fun afternoon kayaking the Tenn River! We had a party of 12-all ages and little experience and the staff hooked us up. They even treated us to free popsicles.

Yelp
This is a great place to rent kayaks, bikes (including mountain and e-bikes), and they have great merchandise. The full moon float was fantastic! We also rented e-bikes and traveled around downtown Knoxville and had a blast! The owner is super helpful and a great adventure coordinator! If you are looking for a good launching point for adventure in Knoxville this is a great stop!

Yelp
Lovely staff, beautiful building, nice quality equipment, I had such a wonderful experience overall. Had a blast paddle boarding up the river and I am so excited to go again!

Yelp
Five is not enough stars! I came to Knoxville for Big Ears on crutches. I realized that I could bike, and these guys set me up, going way way out of their way to accommodate me. BTW, even if you're not disabled, biking around Big Ears is the way to go. They gave me a sweet, light bike that was well-maintained, a helmet and lock, so I could cruise from venue to venue and then back to the hotel. I hope I can come back again and try one of their kayaks. Nice, nice people.

Yelp
We recently moved to Knoxville and were looking for different ways to explore the city. A friend recommended renting kayaks from Knoxville Adventure Collective and kayaking down the Tennessee River. I wasn't sure what to expect with kayaking in the middle of a city, as we typically opt for traditional, middle of nowhere kayak experiences. We popped into the shop mid-morning hoping to beat a storm that was headed in that afternoon. Matt greeted us and walked us through the rental process. He was super friendly and equally helpful! The kayaks were in great condition, and the location, skeptical as I was to start with, couldn't be beat! It was SO cool to see Neyland Stadium and so many other things from the river instead of from the shore. We had a great time paddling around and will definitely be back again!
