I was disappointed in the Philly, the gentleman at the counter said it was voted one of the best in Atlanta and honestly it was just ok. The chopped up meat is different from what I’m used to on a Philly and there’s a lot of cheese. The atmosphere is great and the service was good though.

Google
I had a wonderful turkey, ham, and cheese sandwich, the bread was so fresh- makes it a step above all other sandwich shops. The service was INCREDIBLE too! The sweetest young man helping me. He was so kind. I believe he said his name was Jackson. He went out of his way to make sure my sandwich was just perfect. I will definitely go back!!!

Google
One of my new favorite spots to go. The staff is so friendly. Absolutely love their food for a quick and filling lunch. Very generous on the meat portions of the sandwich in my opinion. My favorite aspect of this sub shop is that they shred the lettuce so fine and it makes the sandwich taste uniquely satisfying. Highly recommend!

Google
Just had an Italian and a Chipotle turkey club there and they were good! The service was great and Brittany and Lauren were very nice and the restaurant was very clean. They also checked on us a couple of times even though they were busy with pickup orders and other customers. We appreciate it and will be back!

Google
The counter person was friendly and helpful with placing our order correctly. The place was clean, and the food was messy but delicious. This building and location are awesome if you are in the Milton Alpharetta area.

Google
My first visit to Knuckies was delightful. Let's begin with the ambiance—I appreciate a clean dining environment. The staff was exceptionally friendly, wearing smiles and displaying patience as I customized my "turkey and Swiss" order (quite the task!). The food was incredibly delicious, ensuring that I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you Brad and John Sidenote: being from Philadelphia, I really appreciate seeing (cheesesteak) and not Philly cheesesteak… because if you’re not in Philly it’s just a cheesesteak 🙃 I look forward to trying that next

Google
Love a good sub. Really fresh ingredients well stacked homemade bread. Lots of great side options or accessories if you will. I had the half size Italian with all the options. Great - delicious, bread is soft the meat stacked, cheese , lettuce tomato, everything fresh - you can taste it. The half size is like a regular at other places so it’s a lot of food, they pack it in👍🏽 Clean place, friendly, great service and great attitude. Definitely worth having a sub here! Note that’s not an L in the name it’s an i. I thought it was knuckles. 😂😂😂😂 Would I go here again? Yes.

Google
We had a great experience for lunch. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Most of all, the sandwiches were delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Yelp
So my son and I went into knuckies to grab a quick fountain drink and they were nothing but great to my 3 year old son giving my son a free fountain drink just to be nice! Their Goucho subs are my favorite but I've never had a bad item here and we are frequent customers! Thanks again guys for be outstanding people!

Yelp
The service was ok. I am vegetarian and for me there was an option. However I had asked them to make it a certain way. They missed a couple of items and also when requested avocado on the side. It was not fresh at all. I would try standard sandwich to not take the chance.

Yelp
To charge $7-8 for their mini, baseball sized sandwiches is pretty unpleasant. My "hot sandwich" was also given to me cold. Paying Milton prices for low quality. Besides that, cute name, clean and normal service.

Yelp
I was in the area for work and decided to come here on the recommendation of my coworker for lunch. This place is located in the shopping center of Old Blind Dog off of Crabapple Rd. Parking can get alittle tight in peak lunch times but they do have a gravel parking lot where you can park in case the street parking is full. Upon walking inside, I noticed how it had a very home feeling to it. I was immediately greeted by the super friendly female employee. I ordered the Roast Beef with provolone sandwich (regular size) which was approximately 8 inches. I opted for the combo option which included a drink and chips (or cookie). My sandwich was amazing. The roast beef was shaved and had incredibly flavor to it. It came with lettuce and tomatoes and had a right blend of mayo to it. The sweet tea was blended perfectly as it wasn't overly sweet. I really enjoyed my salt/vinegar chips. The price of sandwiches weren't bad for the portion and even subway has more expensive sandwiches than here with less quality Ingridents. I will definitely be back to try out their other sandwiches! I highly recommend this place if your in the area and want a good homemade sandwich.

Yelp
I ordered a couple of sandwiches to go today. Got to my house to eat them, and my roast beef sandwich was missing roast beef. I paid for roast beef, all of my other sandwich toppings were correct, but roast beef was completely missing. Never happened to me before in my life. Pretty pathetic to forget to include the key ingredient. They always seem a bit disorganized over there but this is just terrible.

Yelp
Pretty good hoagies! I had the mini Chipotle Turkey & my spouse had the Knuckles Ultimate. The hoagies were good & the ingredients were fresh. I knew we ordered minis but I guess I expected a 6 in. A mini truly is a mini so it's more of a snack than anything. After seeing the size it makes more sense to get a reg. I'd try them again to see what other creations they have.

Yelp
I've only ever had takeout. Once a sandwich, once a salad. Both were decidedly okay. It sounds really good, but the actual product feels like you got some Oscar Mayer deli meat and put it on some iceberg lettuce or a Kroger bun and called it a day.

Ian C.

Yelp
Weak Philly cheesesteak . No flavor. Charge for peppers and onions but put maybe 4 pieces on here
google avatar

Kiki K.

Yelp
The Italian sub is delicious!!! Each week that I traveled to the office, I would order from Knuckies using Door Dash. The only thing I would recommend is that during the hot summer months, they put the sandwiches in a better container to manage the integrity of the product.
google avatar

Courtney L.

Yelp
Great sandwich restaurant in Crabapple market. We ordered the Italian sub and the blazing buffalo ranch chicken sub and I added their cherry pepper relish and oil and vinegar. Their subs are really fresh and have lots of flavor. Definitely different than your regular sub shop. They have a happy hour special during the week 3-5 I want to try that includes a mini sub, chips and a drink for $5! Definitely check this out if you're in Milton and want a good sandwich.
google avatar

Joyrina H.

Yelp
I was visiting my eye doctor and he recommended it because he visits often. Since I was over in the area I decided I can check it out. It was not busy at all. I noticed they have the Happy Hour from 3-6 pm and I got there around 2:15. There was an older guy who greeted me but didn't help me, he seem confused or lost, not sure. I asked since I was new and I didn't want a big sandwich would they be willing to let me do the happy hour early, but obviously as the young guy, Dusty said he couldn't because it was a set button in his system. No problem that wasn't my point. So I ordered the Ultimate which didn't allow me to order as half. The young guy had trouble remember what I wanted removed and added as I emphasized several times I did NOT want Mayo. Over $10 for this sandwich for only the sandwich. I noticed when Dusty was taking my order with gloves on he wiped his face more particular his nose. I then asked was he going to be preparing my sandwich once he replied yes I told him I saw he touched his face and nose and needed him to change gloves. As my sandwich is being made, I then asked because no one asked me can I have wheat bread, in which the white was changed to wheat bread. I ate my sandwich and was very underwhelmed for the price. The meat which included, Turkey, ham and roast beef was very bland and watery tasting. It was loaded with lettuce and oil. The pickles had no taste and could barely taste the mustard. Overall I was not impressed with the service or the food, although it was recommended and looked nice and clean.

Yelp
Great sandwiches. Fresh ingredients and always very quick to get in and out of. I visited location Crabapple and everyone was very friendly and food was delicious.
google avatar

Courtney B.

Yelp
Favorite sandwich shop in Milton! I get the Cuban every time, so I've yet to try much else but the quality is always great
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
Was an OK sandwich. Ordered gluten free and they only have Gf square sandwich bread and charge it as a hoagie with an up charge for the Gf bread. If you're Ok with that as a Gf eater then salut Ordered the Cubana and can't say I was very impressed. Drinks were soda with no high fructose corn syrup and the chips were Miss Vickie's. I admit I am from a deli type area so I come with a pre set notion, but still it was a one and done for us.

Tasha D.

Yelp
Don't ever order a salad here. They are $10 for an huge bowl of iceberg lettuce, two tomatoes slices, maybe 1 slice of turkey meat and a half a slice of bacon. I was absolutely shocked when I got it. I am so disappointed. I won't be back.
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
Second time coming here. Wondering why so long in between visits. Oh yes, way out of the way. The sandwiches were delicious. The bread in my opinion is the best of the best for hoagies. Just wish they would open closer to the Avenues, Avalon, Halcyon
google avatar

Lori H.

Yelp
We haven't been a few months because they seem to never get the order right. My husband decided to go today and order while there instead of online to watch to make sure they did it right. He must not have been watching close enough because I had ordered 2 sandwiches and when he got home mine was a salad not a sandwich! we are done...never going back!

Ken S.

Yelp
I find the subs from public's far better at a lower price and at public's you can get bores head meats.

Martha Y.

Yelp
OMG. Playing at a tennis match and the opponents hosting the match provided food which included sandwiches from Knuckies. I only tried the italian sub and it was delicious!!!! I live in John's Creek and I'd make the drive to come back and buy a sub from this place.

Esteban Q.

Yelp
Very slow and employees messing around in the kitchen. Frustrating when you're in a rush and the place is empty. Food is whatever
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
I had the Cuban which is a tough sell because I'm regular at Papi's. It was great but not quite as good as Papi's and definitely smaller. I could have eaten two. The bread is supposed to be the key to the perfect Cuban and I have to say Knuckles bread is terrific, and very reminiscent of the real thing. I ate on the patio and thoroughly enjoyed my reentry into social undistancing. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I think given the cleanliness, ease of ordering (I ordered online, and it was ready as soon as I came to pick it up), quality of bread and overall taste, I really can't drop lower than 4 stars. But the Philly Cheesesteak was quite disappointing. I guess no one really does it right outside of Philly, but I had high hopes for some reason and it was just an okay cheesesteak. It didn't satisfy my craving and I'm still looking. I also got the Ultimate, because why not - try their best and biggest. Granted, I ate this after a day of sitting in the fridge, but it didn't seem that special to me. It was tasty and I ate it all (in 2 sittings, it's very large) so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt that if I ate it fresh it would be better. All in all, I'm okay with it, if I was in town and walked by it, I wouldn't mind trying another style hoagie, I'm sure it would be good.

Noel B.

Yelp
Great subs. Love the shredded lettuce. Great service! Love the outside eating area as well.
google avatar

Matthew D.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick hoagie. I always pass through crabapple while I'm working and decided to tour the shops. I was looking in the mood for a nice sub so I'm glad I came across Knuckies. The customer service was great. I ordered a #5 which had pepperoni, salami, and provolone. I ate outside on their spacious patio. I really enjoyed the sub. The toppings and meat tasted super fresh and the hoagie roll was phenomenal. I definitely plan on stopping by again when I'm in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
I usually go to Publix for a sub but I was in the area and figured I would give this place a shot. They have quite the list of gourmet sandwiches available. One of the sandwiches ordered was the caprese turkey - the bread was tasty, the lettuce was a shredded nicely, the mozzarella cheese was tasty, the problem was there a very limited amount of turkey on the sandwich! Only Two slices! Ugh. The other sandwiches we address were basic Meat and Cheese - once again two slices of meat and that's it. Skimpy in the world of hoagies. Great if you are on a special diet that's watching your meat intake. At an average of 8 bucks a sandwich - not on par with what you can get at a number of other places. I think I will stick to Publix for good, full sized sandwiches in the future.

Yelp
Awesome sandwiches, had the Italian, great beard, clean store and good service. Great job!

Yelp
I came here on a weeknight and there was a steady crowd. Parking was easy in the back. I really wanted to like this place because it is close to my house and the Italian hoagie sounded so good from their menu. I got that along with a couple of meat and cheese only sandwiches to dine in and it was ready pretty quickly. The staff was nice during the whole process. We sat at one of the few indoor tables (there are some outside as well) and began eating. The bread was okay, fresh for sure, but not as hearty as I usually like, it is more fluffy. The combo of toppings on the Italian was good and the sauce was good as well. The meat and cheese only sandwiches were the real disappointment. It was literally one thin layer of salami and cheese, 90% bread. I recommend staying away from the "M&C only" sandwiches.

Diana E.

Yelp
food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. The 35 Knuckie wonderful. Tons of pastrami and melted swiss on top of house made coleslaw and 1000 island dressing. Will be bringing my friends with me next time!
google avatar

Helen P.

Yelp
New sandwich spot in downtown Milton, ordered a sandwich to-go and went with their signature sandwich since it's the first time trying. #35 Knuckie Sandwich: pastrami, melted Swiss, coleslaw, dill pickle aoli ($8.49). I was not impressed by their signature sandwich...the restaurant name claims to be 'gourmet hoagies' but I wouldn't consider the sandwich to be gourmet--just a slightly overpriced sandwich. The pastrami was good quality and the homemade hoagie roll was good...light and airy. But the sandwich was mostly just bread and meat very little coleslaw and couldn't even make out the melted Swiss--for a gourmet and almost $9 sandwich I was expecting something decadent and over flowing. They have a section of the menu for sandwiches that are just M&C...meat and cheese so expected a lot more from their signature.
google avatar

Lauren E.

Yelp
Never heard of this place but stopped in for lunch as I was in the area. Delicious!! My husband and I split a Knuckies Reuben and the Italian. The bread was so soft and all the ingredients were fresh. They also made both sandwiches super quickly. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Amber J.

Yelp
I've frequented here a few times. The sandwiches and menu variety is great. Additional plus, the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Glad they are finally open on Sundays too!

Julie J.

Yelp
First visit was good. Friendly service. Grilled Cheesesteak was excellent! Super fresh bread.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Had a very good gluten free Italian sandwich here. It's much improved from when they first opened. Love that gluten free bread is an option (slight up charge, maybe 75 cents). There was a lot of meat in the sandwich and it tasted great.
google avatar

Austyn J.

Yelp
Went on the first day it opened. Very nice staff. As my dad said over and over "they have good bread" lol the sandwiches were really good. Got the Cuban and the buffalo chicken. my dad went two days in a row. So yeah it was good !

Yelp
Just Ok. Potential is there - but.... I was headed home to watch the Bills in the playoffs....was going to just make food, but you know - support local business, so I have been thinking about this place -let's stop in. The headline of this review is - could be a massive hit, but some strange practices will doom this place to - "so-so".....would not go out of my way to come here again..... Let's start with the good - Extremely clean. Good covid precautions. The menu is decent. Plenty there. Love the Zappos chips. The staff - really all student types is friendly enough - maybe new, so not totally great at this but friendly. The bread was good, Fresh. The meat was good, tasted high quality. OK here is the silly stuff - I read some of the past reviews - and it seems obvious to correct some of this stuff- why don't they? I do not know.....It's higher end pricing for sure....Regular sub, make it a combo - at base price you are in the 13-14 bucks....that's a lot for a sandwich chips and a drink. The idea you gotta pay a quarter extra for other toppings is just silly. I mean come on - stop it. You can make it a combo with a regular but not a mine - again, stop it - you are just limiting how you can make money. So on top of negotiating the menu, I have to negotiate ordering - (noisy, cashier can't hear with the plexiglass, rules, rules, rules....not the best customer experience....how about - sure, it's a sandwich (not brain surgery), we can make you what you want.....and won't nickel and dime you......how hard is that. I think overall, this is a competitive space - Subway, Publix, Jersey Mike's and yes there is some quality distinction but the price distinction is much much more. It's so easy to make people flock to your place, especially when it has potential. It's also easy to make your place irrelevant with silly practices that may make sense on paper but make no sense in real life. I hope the owner takes the feedback from this site.....it will be so easy to make this place a knockout. Hope you guys figure it out.

Stacey S.

Yelp
Pretty good sandwich spot all in all. The bread is great and I enjoy their Original Italians. Usually quick service. The kids behind the counter always seem to be in training, but it's the suburbs and I love the local feel of it.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Nice soft bread, good meat and the Knuckies oil & vinegar is awesome hard to find a decent sub shop
google avatar

Troy A.

Yelp
I was craving a good Hoagie. Haven't had one since my last trip to Philly. This is my first time in this place so I was Cautiously optimistic. The employees were nice and the place had a good atmosphere. Still, it's all about the Hoagie! Wait time wasn't bad, and then here it came, all wrapped up. It's the moment of truth. Will I be disappointed? Will I be meh? It's unwrap time and there it was, a perfectly formed cheese steak hoagie. Ok so it looks good but how does it taste? Then the moment of truth... the first bite.
google avatar

Su B.

Yelp
Well, where do I start? Staff: pleasant, clean and food was prepared quickly. Location: good, limited parking, outside tables with umbrellas Ordering: there is limited customization of your sandwich. If you want a ham hoagie with lettuce, you pay for a ham and cheese whatever sandwich, and you'll for the cheese anyway. Based on the other sandwiches, you won't even be given an extra slice of ham. Bread: fresh and thick, nothing remarkable Sandwiches: sauces delicious- Little cold cuts. My sandwich, and the 2 others we purchased each had exactly 2, that's right 2 slices of meat! My sandwich wAs 8.99 with 2 slices of turkey. Thank goodness the bread and lettuce was bountiful, or we would have left hungry. I want to spend my money with small businesses, particularly now, but Knuckles is off the list. It was expensive and unimpressive.

Rob S.

Yelp
Was hoping for something good here. Love hoagie sandwiches. Ordered the special pastrami hoagie through uber eats. Sandwich was cold, the paper it was wrapped in was stuck to the sandwich and it was smaller than a Jimmy John's sandwich. Not sure what part of the country this is a hoagie from, but not what I am used to. I took a picture of half the sandwich. You can see that is has very little meat and is barely bigger than a ball point pen. Not worth the money. Way better options out there.
google avatar

Katherine C.

Yelp
Glad to have a lunch option in the shops at Crabapple, but I wasn't too impressed with the hoagies at Knuckies. For $6.5, I maybe had three slices of mozzarella, two tomatoes, and a sprinkle of lettuce on my hoagie. My dad echoed my thoughts on his turkey sandwich as well -- good taste, but minimal fillings. For ''gourmet'' hoagies, I might suggest layering them up a little more and/or offering free veggie topping additions (peppers, onions, jalapeños, pickles, etc). That said, I'm sure we'll be back given the great location.
google avatar

Chad R.

Yelp
Great sandwiches! Friendly staff! Some outdoor seating as well. Come here, don't go to Subway.
google avatar

Josh A.

Yelp
Decent sandwiches but a bit overpriced in my opinion. $1.50 for 2 ozs of Cole slaw was kinda offensive and the Cuban had a little too much Mayo and mustard but that's a personal preference. The ultimate sandwich was delivered as ordered and was tasty. The bread is wonderfully soft. Curb side delivery was non existent as no one answered the phone the 3 times I called so I ended up parking and walking in.
google avatar

lew m.

Yelp
Great place. It's always clean, the staff always friendly and you're guaranteed a great sandwich .
google avatar

Adisuda B.

Yelp
Just like other reviews. Potential is there. They could do better. Soft yummy bread and that pretty much it .. the rest you can compare with Publix or jersey Mike's. And pretty Pricey.

Keith K.

Yelp
I got the mini Italian sub and I wish I ordered the whole sub. It was very good. The hoagie was fresh and soft. The staff was friendly. I will come again to explore the menu.

Jimmy Y.

Yelp
All around great! I had a chipotle turkey club hoagie with potato salad. Really good flavors in everything, and good ingredients. I like that the bread is soft with a slight chew to it, not dry and crusty or tough. Drink selection is unique and interesting, with some different types of soda to try. Very friendly crew behind the counter and everything came out quick. Banana pudding was excellent. Fluffy texture, nice amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Will definitely stop by whenever I am looking for something fast but good.
google avatar

Rob R.

Yelp
Just came here for #35 The Knuckie - CAB Angus Pastrami and Swiss - it was awesome - there was a more than generous helping of CAB (Certified Angus Beef) I also got their Banana Pudding both excellent. I saw this on Nextdoor App - and it did not disappoint - thank you we will be back.

Karen B.

Yelp
Saw "hoagie" and thought perhaps someone from Philly/Chester area of PA might have found their way south. Steak Hoagie was fine but my quest for a real "hoagie" continues
