SF’s Best Casual Neighborhood Sushi Spots - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Three words: Spoonful. Of. Happiness. This spoonful of uni, quail egg, and delicious sauce at Koo comes with a shot of sake, and you would be highly remiss not to order one for everyone at the table. Besides that, the fish here is all pretty great. We usually get the Best Roll with salmon, lemon, asparagus tempura, and avocado and the crispy Godzilla tofu with spicy garlic miso." - taylor abrams, will kamensky

It’s 5 star for the price point. Otherwise, Sashimi quality wasn’t that high quality. Food presentation wasn’t consistent as some dishes came in nice plates, other dishes came in paper containers. Wasabi didn’t have much flavor and didn’t feel authentic as we could eat wasabi raw and didn’t feel a thing. Overall, it was good deal for the price point. Some of the rolls were pretty decent. And having drink included was a huge plus.

Lined up at 3:15 to get the first 20 spots for AYCE for $25! Not the *best* sushi I've ever had, but they had a couple of cool items on the menu - the Thai mango salmon was quite good, as was the chicken karaage and their sashimi tasting set. The all-you-can-drink menu is fine, definitely more on the sugary side. Interior decoration is super cute! Waiters were understandably busy but made time for every table. Overall, would recommend it at this price.

Love the all you can eat. It’s $25 for the first round of people only as the Happy Hour only lasts if you are seated before 5 I think. Then it’s $33 all you can eat + drink. The wait was not fun and probably not worth the saving $8. You can put your name down for the 7:30 round if you get there when they open. The food was good for $25 with the Salmon being my favorite. The sake was also good. They also have a $20 (I think it’s around this cost) charge for any leftover food on the table.

My son introduced me to Ko Sushi Restaurant. We missed getting in on the first seating at 4:30pm, so added our name to the 6pm seating. Service was fast and friendly, and each of the sushi items ordered were delicious, including the matcha cheesecake.

Type of food: All you can eat food and drink (sushi, some basic izakaya/cooked items, basic drinks including beer/tea/soda/sake) Date of visit: Mon, Sept 16, 2024 (Not a holiday) Price: $25 (seated by 4:30pm) ; $33 afterward (inclusive) Here's the scoop. It's a very popular instagram/tiktok spot so be prepared to line up early. We got there around 3:45pm on a non-holiday monday. There were around 35-40 people ahead of us standing in line. The restaurant is VERY small (as you can see from the photos) and it can fit maybeeee 20 people for each seating? We were a party of 5. We waited until around 430pm when the server started going through the line. We were told to come back at 6pm for the 2nd seating (and we were the last group before they started going for the 3rd seating!). I imagine the 3rd seating would start at 730pm. At around 545-6pm we came back and stood in line. Thus it seems like depending on whatever "seating block" you get, you just come back for that block of time and could potentially be seated first before people that were ahead of you in the 430pm line if you line up early for your assigned "seating block". Food/drink: -Good quality for price. More rice than some sushi places but not excessively so. Fish quality was relatively fresh - not the best/not the worst. -NO LIMITS! (unlike some other places that were trying to set an expectation in the bay like Ultra, cough cough) -Cooked food quality was pretty tasty! (like the fried stuff and the skewers) -Included beer/sake/soda/tea/some random asian drinks, what more can you ask for $33! Service: -Few staff, but they know what they're doing and were efficient. Since they have to be efficient they can seem a bit short but they are indeed friendly -Food came out at a decent pace, they don't hold back Atmosphere: -small, cramped, but nice vibe and nice decor -because it's all you can drink, some tables got a bit...lively Other notes: -Street parking, it's SF -Their menu will likely already have some crossed out stuff even at the very beginning -They have a sister restaurant with higher prices (apparently Ko sushi is a proof-of-concept) called Shoryuken (much less crowded I would guess though) -They have a premium add-on menu which we didn't try, but the prices look pretty decent

Google
what an amazing cute little spot!! they just stopped offering happy hour i believe, so we did all you can eat and each thing we ordered was surprisingly good. the portion sizes were larger than we thought, so we were so full by the end of it. our favorites were the pork belly skewers, fried oysters, and seaweed poke. the sushi and nigiri was pretty fresh, and the fried dishes came out hot and flavorful. they didn’t skimp on the quality even though it is high quantities of food. i think the only thing i didn’t like was the eel, it was too bony. they also had all you can drink for $8 which would be fun on a weekend with a large group. the servers were nice and attentive and the atmosphere inside is good for a chill spot.

Ko in the Mission is a bit of a hidden spot. Tucked away in the bustling district, it's easy to miss with construction around and a small sign. But what it lacks in curb appeal, it makes up for in its wallet-friendly happy hour. Their happy hour is a three-tiered wonderland, with options for $1, $2, and $3. Think $1 beers and oysters, $2 skewers and sake, and $3 sushi nigiri. It runs from 5-7 pm and 9-10 pm most days, with extended hours on Fridays (9-11 pm). Be aware, happy hour is for dine-in only. Get there early! This tiny spot, with only seating for seven groups, fills up fast. We arrived 10 minutes before opening and were second in line. By 5 pm, there was a decent wait. Service is efficient, if not overly friendly. Our server took our orders quickly and efficiently. The happy hour menu is a mixed bag. The chicken karaage was a bit of a letdown - the crispy coating was more limp than light. The oysters were decent, and the $1 price tag can't be beat. The American wagyu skewers were a disappointment - a bit chewy and tough. The nigiri was okay, but nothing special. For the price, Ko's happy hour is a steal. If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful spot for some bites and drinks with friends, it's worth checking out. However, based on the happy hour experience, I'm not sure I'd rush back for the full menu.

Google
This cozy little Japanese izakaya is a delightful find! They offer an extensive menu, and the food is fantastic. We ordered a variety of skewers, all of which were delicious. I particularly loved the bacon mochi and Jalapeno sausage!!!. Their dragon roll and fried tofu are also superb. Highly recommend for an authentic taste and a warm atmosphere!

Yelp
Came here for the $20 all you can eat deal. You have to be among the first wave of seats because the deal is only if you get seated before 5pm. They have a ton of variety on the ayce menu. Food came out really slow (almost an hour wait for some tables) but since my table ordered first all our food came out before everyone else's. You can get 6 raw oysters per person which we ordered but never came. The appetizers were huge bowls (too much for 2 people to finish) that was doused in so much mayo that you couldn't enjoy the actual food. The nigiri was good! The skewers were hit or miss. We ordered the wagyu, chicken thigh, shrimp, and pork belly. The only good things were the shrimp and pork belly because the others were very dry. Would come here again but have to strategize what you want! wouldn't order the appetizers or the skewers, stick to all the other stuff!

Yelp
What was my favorite restaurant in SF turned into the worst. I now have to send a message to all the people I recommended this place to, a warning NOT to come. My partner and I tried Ko after a few weeks -- waiting for the hype to die down. We were loyal customers who came often, we especially miss one of their workers (Eric! We miss you and hope you're doing well). Anyway, TLDR: the quality of the fish has gone drastically down. Every time we came before, we would lick the plates clean. This time, we left a few pieces of fish behind -- because it simply was not tasty. One of the servers came by (to whom I can only imagine is the owner because of what he said), said "that's $25 worth of waste" in such a demeaning tone and took it away. Maybe he looked down on us because we look young or I don't know -- but if your customers aren't eating your food, it's because it has zero quality. The fish is something you can easily get at a 7/11 or leftover at HMart. My stomach was feeling pretty bad at the end of the meal, and his attitude just inflamed it. On top of that, they automatically charge a party of 2 an 18% tip for gratuity. Are you kidding? After that treatment especially? We heard the pair next to us realize the same thing when they got their bill. Ko just lost two of their most loyal customers. Time to continue telling my friends to stop coming.

Yelp
Okay so you're probably wondering what's all the hype on social media about this place! Is it worth the one hour wait! Hell yes!! I recommend coming early to make reservations. I came right when it opened and was able to to getting seated in 30min - party of 2 I came on another occasion with a party of 5 and waited 1.5 - 2.0hrs Yes the wait was sooo long but we walked around the neighborhood was able to enjoy the local art and dandelion chocolate. About the food! All you can eat!!!! The price is sooo affordable and not just ALL YOU CAN EAT & DRINK!! What we ordered frequently - try the shrimp sewers- my favorite! - spicy deep fried California roll - Korean corn - salmon nigiri - agadashi tofu The quality is decent for the price and we loved trying all the different menu items. If you're looking for mid tier sushi this is it!! Good bang for your buck and you leave with fully belly and a smile! I don't think this place is kid friendly - as I wouldn't keep your kids waiting in the cold and too tight for strollers. Other than that Highly recommend this place for dates and friends!

Yelp
My new fave sushi ayce restaurant in the city. It's affordable & extremely delicious! So glad my bf came across this restaurant on socials ;) It reminds me so much of Japan's small sushi restaurants. It's intimate, tiny, & yet a fun dining experience. Servers are very attentive, because they want you in & out, due to the limited space & others waiting in line to be seated. (Let's be mindful:)) It is a 90 minutes seating time limit. So far, I've dine here twice in the last 3 weeks & price definitely went up (but still very much affordable). Street parking aren't too bad during the week, but the weekends can be a little tough. So good luck! Let's get into what we ordered: - Spicy tuna & spicy salmon hand rolls - Hamachi lime ceviche sushi rolls - Hamachi truffle carpaccio - Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Uni Nigiri - Sashimi sampler (10pc) - Spicy thai mango salmon - Korean cheese Corn - Honey garlic chicken wings (this was okay...) - Hokkaido curry lobster ball - Edamame - Beers (Asahi & Sapporo) - House hot sake - Yuzu sake (yummmmm) Bon appetite!

Yelp
Really good deal and incredible value but not the highest quality sushi - also, expect to wait at least an hour! I feel the need to preface this with the fact that you need to line up probably 90+ mins ahead of opening to get their HH pricing or wait at least 60 minutes to eat here at all. They open at 4:30pm and offer their AYCE + AYCD deal for $25 (at the time I went) if you're sat by 5:30pm, which is a crazy deal in the city. They are also a super small restaurant with a 90min eating time, meaning if you are not in the first seating, you will not get the HH pricing. I think even past 5:30pm the pricing is really cheap but something to keep in mind. Again, the line gets huge and they only have about 20 seats in the restaurant so line up early if you want the deal. As for the food, they have a pretty large variety of items you can order from skewers to rolls/sashimi/nigiri to cold and hot apps. We really enjoyed the apps like agedashi tofu and dynamite shrimp. Also the beef and shrimp skewers were pretty good. Some fish is definitely higher quality than others, though overall it was decent when we went. My big complaint is that the rice in the nigiris wasn't at all seasoned which was not very good. Pretty large slices of fish though, we though salmon and eel were both pretty good. AYCD includes sodas + beer + sake which is a super good deal. They had a few items (flavored sake and hotate) marked unavailable when we went, which was a bummer. Service can understandably be a bit slow but it took us over an hour to get our complete first order of food. Overall, it's a fantastic deal but I don't think it's worth the wait.

Yelp
Okay so we all saw the viral tik tok right? Hear me out besties, I was super excited to try this place so I got in line at 3:15 on a Friday. I thought it was a little early but people hold spots for their friends so the earlier the better. The inside is pretty small with one bathroom in the back. The decorations are cute, they have a lot of hanging flags and lanterns. The food itself is pretty good quality for the price. We got the sashimi platter, which is a must! The hamachi truffle carpaccio and spicy thai mango salmon were fire. I usually skip out on appetizers at happy hour but these are totally worth. Now, the only downside I felt was that a lot of things I wanted to try were not on the menu, like their oysters and their soju cocktail. And the amount of rice they give you is in fact the standard amount lol. Overall it's 100% worth it. Definitely different reality than the video but for $65 (including tip) for two people it's the cheapest in the city

Yelp
I'll say it now: I'm not an avid fan of AYCE establishments. Dare I say, I'm a hater of the AYCE business model. More often than not, the price comes at the expense of quality, the duration you stay almost always gets cut shorter than listed, and the service is subpar. Ko, shockingly, does none of those things. The modest storefront boasts a hip, Japanese night market-inspired interior with only a handful of tables, making a seat here one of the more coveted dining spots in SF. More pleasant than the design is the $20 happy hour menu which simply cannot be beat, the allure of which entrapped even me, the strongest of AYCE haters. Though the quality wasn't outstanding by any means, the sushi is decent and what you'd find in non-AYCE establishments. Standouts for me were the sashimi platter (limited to 1 pp), the trumpet mushrooms, and truffle hamachi carpaccio. Honestly, our bill would have been over 150 had we chosen an A La Carte restaurant yet we paid less than half this price. Additionally, when considering the fact that we had two sakes to share, what more can you ask for? It's truly no wonder why Ko captivated thousands on social media platforms after a meal like this. Though this hidden gem is no longer concealed, I hope Ko receives lots of foot traffic for years to come.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday for their Happy Hour deal! There's a wide variety of food and drink options all for $25 and it's AYCE! Ko opens at 4:30 pm and my boyfriend started lining up around 3 p.m. Even then, there was already a party in front of us?? They stop seating people for the Happy Hour deal after around the first 18-20 people. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. The food also came out really fast which is a plus! We ordered the Dragon Roll, Sashimi sampler, Cola chicken wings, Takoyaki, Agedashi tofu, garlic shrimp skewer, trumpet mushroom skewer, albacore nigiri, and (Fried California roll or Shogun??). Everything was delicious and I love that it was a small portion so we got to try a good amount of dishes! Will definitely go back again even if it's the regular price for the AYCE ($32).

Yelp
Okay, so I fell for it. I'll admit it. Tik tok had me convinced this hidden gem would take me in a time machine when $25 AYCE was going to be quality. I waited 2 hours in advanced on a sunday and was 2nd in line. The only things that were really worth it weee the mango salmon sashimi, cola wings, and the drinks. I would not suggest the beef ribs, they are not that great and you have to finish all of it. It just was not worth the AYCE price for the lacking quality in food.

Yelp
$25 per person for all-you-can-eat + drink in SF?!? Yes... but there's a catch... You need to be the first 18-20 people in line when they open at 4:30 PM. The price is unbeatable for the quality and variety of food + drinks. The sushi was fresh, the service was super fast, and the menu had everything from sashimi to Korean BBQ. The drinks were solid too, but I wish they had soju. My partner and I lined up at 3:00 PM on a Saturday and waited for an hour and a half. People in line often save a spot for their party as the opening time gets closer, so you might see others jump ahead of you. Not the restaurant's fault--it's just gone viral, so expect a long line and lots of people. From what we saw, there are about 18 seats inside, and the first group gets 90 minutes to eat before a waitlist starts. The vibe inside is cozy, and the food options are impressive for the price. Honestly, $25 for this much in SF is unbeatable! I'd definitely go back, but maybe on a weekday when it's less hectic.

Yelp
Notes: 1. Solid fish to rice ratio. Not too much rice. 2. There isn't the largest variety of seafood, but the freshness makes up for it--you know it's good quality when it simply melts in your mouth. Generous cut, as well. My favorite was the scallop. 3. Korean short rib is a formidable portion size. Great flavor, but would not recommend if you're saving your stomach for sushi. 4. Fun little popular Asian drink menu. Highly recommend: spicy thai mango salmon, spicy scallop hand roll, trumpet mushroom skewer, takoyaki, inari crab, 49er roll We started waiting in line an hour before opening and did not make the 4:30 round and waited until 6 to be seated. Regular hours price ($33) is still an unreal deal. Two servers ran the whole place and were top notch service. Interior is warm and cozy with authentic Japanese izakaya vibes. Loved, loved this dining experience.

Yelp
My friend and I came to check out this spot and didn't realize they are an all you can eat spot. There was a short line but got in within 15 minutes. The place is tiny - very intimate, very close to other tables. The menus were on the table but we weren't explained the process of ordering until we asked. There was a regular menu + drinks and a premium menu. We opted for regular menu and you mark what you'd like to order. Drinks came out pretty fast (all canned / bottle drinks) then we ordered a mix of sushi dishes, Yakitori and some dishes. All the Yakitori came out at once fairly quickly - they also didn't mention how many skewers were with each order so we ended up over ordering that. Each order came with two skewers which wasn't described anywhere. The sushi dishes / cold dishes took an entire hour to come out and the only reason they did was after we asked. It was then AFTER the fact that they mentioned a surcharge for any leftover food which spoiled the experience. Had we had the proper introduction, disclaimer and if the food had come out in time, then we would've adjusted accordingly. Not sure if it was because of a new menu (overheard from one of the patrons) or not. At least the food was solid otherwise I would've knocked a star

Yelp
Finally got into the infamous Ko for AYCE (after happy hour, it's priced at $33). The verdict is that this price is too good to be true. Starting with the just ok thing, the nigiri were as good as you'd expect for this price point. The fish was decently fresh and the rice held together. We got scallops twice and the first ones were sweet, but the second was bland and fishy. The lion king and double crab rolls were also serviceable - both were very standard California rolls dressed up with extra toppings like seared salmon and krab salad. The best bites of the night were the skewers! You can't go wrong spam charred with honey or cumin lamb. Both were very tasty bites! The downside, the hamachi definitely made both me and my partner ill. It was chewy and fishy, unlike any other negi hama roll I've ever had. Usually it's tender off cuts of hamachi toro chopped with onion. But, this was excessive rice with dubious hamachi at best. The corn cheese was literally just that. The service was fast and friendly enough, but even at this price, I wouldn't be jumping at the opportunity to dine here again (even during happy hour). It's just not worth the hype or hours of waiting.

Kiana L.

Yelp
Ko is probably the cheapest AYCE sushi you can find in the city - but not worth it in my opinion. If you're the 1st seating your AYCE price is $25/person, & every other time you come it's $33/person. It's small with 8 tables & they have a chaotic system of putting your name down & telling you to come back at a certain time, but if there's a table open before you come back they'll sit whoever is on the list. The food is subpar, the hamachi sushi really grossed me out and ruined my appetite. The hamachi was tasteless & SUPER chewy - I had to spit it out I couldn't bear to swallow it. The double krab & lion king rolls were decent, as well as the 1st round of hotate nigiri. The 2nd round of hotate nigiri tasted completely different. You definitely get what you pay for & Ko is really cheap for AYCE sushi and easy to eat your worth, but I would rather pay for better quality sushi.

Yelp
Arrived at 3:30pm on a Monday and there were already about 15 people ahead of us. At 4:30pm, the restaurant opened and we barely made it in for the first seating! The hype is real and expect to get there early or you'll have to come back for the second seating. Luckily, it seemed like if you missed the first seating, they would take down your name and number so you didn't have to wait outside for 90+ minutes from the first rounders. On to the food - Many items were already crossed off and unavailable despite the restaurant just opening. This was disappointing. In the 90 minutes, you only get two rounds. They make this clear and kept reminding everyone that you will be charged if you over order and have leftovers. The options that they did have were pretty solid. We had sashimi plates (1 per person) but they ran out of hamachi for some plates and only gave us salmon and tuna. The fish from the sashimi sampler plate was much better than the nigiri. Favorites were sashimi sampler, spicy Thai mango salmon, mirugai (geoduck) nigiri, and the garlic shrimp and trumpet mushroom skewers. Drink options were great. We enjoyed a few (full) bottles of sake so a great deal for ayce + drink for only $25! In all, amazing deal. Would I wait again for it? No.

Yelp
Wow. My friend had heard about this place, so we decided to give it a shot! We came and lined up at 3/310pm on a Saturday in the heat wave, and we were the first two in line (surprising that we were the first, but I think that was due to the heat wave!) We were seated promptly at 430 for the $25 AYCE + drink deal. We immediately ordered coconut waters, Sapporo and sake. One thing I'll note is that they had almost all the sake drinks crossed out, except the cold sake (this is not a complaint at all as this deal, whether at $25 or $33 is beyond great!) As far as what we ordered: *Double crab roll - there was so much crab! It was delicious *Salmon nigiri *Ikura nigiri *Scallop nigiri - so good that we got seconds! *Mirugai nigiri *Ebi shrimp nigiri *Walu nigiri *Sashimi sampler - there was so much fish! My friend and I noted that some of the pieces were on the thicker side - i.e., not the greatest knife skills, but also, this deal is amazing and the fish is actually very decent, so I'm hardly nitpicking. *Garlic shrimp skewer *Cumin lamb skewer *Hokkaido oyster *Spicy tuna roll This was a ridiculous deal! Not only was the deal ridiculous, but the actual fish was good. The service was absolutely solid and I would happily come back... though maybe not in a heat wave, and I'd be happy to show up at 430, put my name down for a later seating and go have a drink elsewhere.

Yelp
There's been a lot of hype around this restaurant after KO made this place as an ayce and I was finally able to try it. From a price point, it is super affordable ~$42 pp including a 18% mandatory service fee for any party size. We put our names at 5pm and came back around 8pm and waited till 8:30pm for seating. Now for the food.. it was honestly terrible. The quality and taste has to be one of the worst I've had. I feel like they mask the fishiness with sauce and other means. They give huge portions which is harder to try everything since you have to finish what you order. If you come here for the drinks and some bites like sashimi and galbi it may be ok otherwise I would avoid.
google avatar

Kimberly G.

Yelp
Came here for the $20 AYCE sushi deal, which you only get if you're seated by 5pm (when they open at 4:30), so you have to be seated in the first round to get the $20 deal, which is fine(?) I expected this place to be super busy so we lined up by 2:45pm, and we were maybe the third group in line. we essentially waited 2 hours, which i don't think is really worth it? We ended up also getting the ayce drinks, and wanted to try the Yuzu drink, which was already out by the time we wanted to order, which was disappointing. It seems by the second round of orders that we did, there were already a few things that were sold out on the menu. It seems that if you were seated in the next round and had to pay the full ayce prices, i wouldn't necessarily say it's worth? it seems like the rice in the nigiri was pretty warm, which made the fish kinda warm and weird too. like it was definitely good for the $20 price, but mayhaps not the full price. the service was definitely super busy running around in the small, i appreciate that they were very helpful!

Yelp
Came for an early dinner a couple days ago on Monday. You definitely have to come early and wait for a while, but I think it's worth it for the price! Details: all you can eat + all you can drink for $25 pp before 5 pm, and $33 pp after 5 pm. The restaurant opens at 4:30, so realistically you have to get seated in the first seating in order to get the $25 pricing. My friend got in line around 3:10 pm and we got the very last table for first seating. We got a bit lucky because there was a single guy ahead of us, but they opted to seat the next party of 2 for a 2-seater table instead of seating a single person. Because of this, I don't recommend coming here as a single person, since it doesn't seem like they prioritize seating for individuals. Inside, there are 20-24 seats. To be specific, there are 2 tables that can seat 4-5 people, 4 2-person seaters, and 2 tables that can seat 2-3 people. As part of the first seating for us, they let in 24 people, but the number can vary a bit depending on the party sizes ahead of you. I definitely don't recommend coming as a large group of 6+ as I'm not sure whether they can accommodate that. Despite the small interior, they do a good job of making it feel cozy. The decor inside is very colorful, with lots of banners above and posters on the walls. For drinks, we got an assortment of soft drinks as well as hot sake. For alcohol, they offer beer and sake. For food, they give you a menu and you can mark whatever you want to order. Make sure to not over order as they charge extra for leftovers. We tried a ton of different stuff from the menu, and my favorites were the dragon roll, the sashimi sampler, the hamachi truffle carpaccio, and the shrimp and pork belly skewers. In general, I thought their raw fish was decent quality except for the tuna. Stay far far away from the tuna. Our tuna nigiri and tuna poke were both terrible. Also, if you're not sure , ask about the portion sizes before you order. For example, I thought the fried Hokkaido oyster in the appetizer section was going to be a small order of 1-2 oysters, but turns out one order comes with 4 oysters. Portion sizes here are bigger than you'd expect for an AYCE place. After all the fees and taxes, including a mandatory 18% service fee, we paid almost $33 pp. That's such as steal for how much food we ordered!

Yelp
My friends & I wanted to try the $25 AYCE on a Monday and we arrived at 3:15pm. There was around 20 people in front of us already, which became about 24-28 people since people held spots for others and other couples left. Any groups that came with 6+ people did not get seated with the first group. If you're not seated within the first group, you can still enjoy the AYCE/AYCD option at 6pm for $33. The server signs people up for slots and you're expected to come back at that time. The line was so long that he offered sign ups for the 7:30pm seating. We opted to do the 6pm seating and did a quick HH at Picaro. We came back at 5:45 and were seated right away. What to order - sashimi plate, nigiri and skewers. The rolls did not look appetizing as you can see in the picture. The nigiri was also ok; the rice had way too much rice vinegar in it. We continued to order the sashimi plate and nigiri along with 2 bottles of sake. The server even let us try a yuzu sake that was really good. I would say it's worth the wait if you get into the first two seatings. A lot of items on the menu run out fast by the time the 7:30pm seating comes around. So definitely arrive early and have a plan B if you don't get seated in the 4pm slot.

Yelp
WOAH! Discovered this place because it blew up on TikTok. I was told it would open at 4:30 but people line up way before that. Got there at 3:07 and we were 12,13,14 in line. Heard they only seat around 17 so we made it! An hour late the party of 2 at the front had 4 join. Not cool. Was super worried we were not gonna be seated since that made us 16, 17, 18. Around 4:15 the waiter came out and wrote down our name and party. Luckily the seated around 24 people! Our party of 3 had to share a table with a party of 2 but it was okay. All you can eat and drink for $25 is such a steal! The service was great. The quality of the fish was good for what you pay for. There is more rice in the sushi than I would like so I would recommend starting off with the sashimi sampler and getting a lot of carpaccio. I would come back again once the hype has died down. Waiting 1.5 hours in line was kinda rough. Wish the people in the front didn't add to their party so late. It's not on the restaurant but there should be a better system so people don't stand in line thinking they're going to make it.

Yelp
This is my second time at the restaurant; the first time was late night during a weekend before the AYCE format came out. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday at 2:50PM for the AYCE/AYCD $25 deal. We were second in line; by around 3:20PM, the "first seating" group had already been chosen, which is less than 20 people. This is the full list of what we ordered (and we ordered two of each!) -tuna nigiri -albacore nigiri -salmon nigiri -ikura nigiri -unagi nigiri -hamachi nigiri -walu nigiri -spicy thai style mango salmon -sashimi sampler -chicken yakatori skewers -korean short ribs hot plate -panko fried hokkaido oyster -asahi beer -strawberry ice cream My favorite nigiri was definitely the salmon nigiri. The Panko Fried Hokkaido Oyster was well-seasoned, and the Spicy Thai Style Mango Salmon was my overall favorite. The Korean Short Ribs Hot Plate was slightly bland for my taste. Overall, regarding the price for the AYCE/AYCD and the focus of sushi, I would say it is worth it. I am willing to come back and pay full price & not wait in line too much!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by KO! It's a small hole in the wall type of place with an excellent happy hour! Probably one of the best happy hours I've had. Their happy hour includes $1 beer, $2 skewers and $3 nigiri and hand rolls! We each ordered a beer (Sapporo), a variety of skewers (wagyu, pork belly, bacon mochi), unagi and salmon nigiri, chicken karaage and hand rolls (spicy tuna, spicy salmon and tempura shrimp). The skewers were good but not amazing. My friend and I both agreed that the wagyu and pork belly could've been better with some sort of sauce. Our favorite skewer was the bacon mochi one! The chicken karaage was perfectly crispy and in big pieces! The sauce with it was nice and spicy and complimented the chicken well. We also enjoyed the nigiri and hand rolls we got. Our bill came out to around $50 which I thought was a deal since I felt like we had a lot of food plus the beer. When you get to the place you do have to wait in line outside because there isn't a sign in sheet. We did have to wait for quite awhile (about an hour) to get seated and we just made it for happy hour. There was only one server but he was great and took our orders and brought out the food quickly! I think it's best to come during happy hour but make sure to come early to avoid waiting too long!

Yelp
$25/person all-you-can-eat-and-drink if you come before 5:00pm. Before it was too hyped up, it used to be $20/person for all you can eat and then an optional $8 more for all you can drink. I came at 3:00pm on a Friday thinking no one would be earlier than me. I was wrong! I ended up being 12th in line. The restaurant can fit 20 people. So you can count where you're at in line once you arrive. Someone comes out at 4:15 to take down your name and number. If you don't make the first round, then I think the AYCE/D is $32/person. Throughout the meal, there were consistently a bunch of people who tried to put their name down but they were turned away since the waitlist was full. The quality of their fish was good for $25/person. I would come back if I didn't have to wait 1.5 hour in the line again.

Yelp
All you can eat sushi place at mission. It also include free unlimited sake or beer. Limit 90 min. To be able to get the $24.99, you need to line up before the open. I believe they only offer it for the first batch. After that it was above $30. It also has happy hour on Friday and Saturday for $20 but alcohol is not included. The restaurant is small and only have 7 tables if I am not mistaken. We arrived at around 3 pm and get first in line. The line get crowded pretty fast. Before the restaurant open we are handed the menu for us to order. The moment we are seated, our order start coming. Everything we ordered are yummy except the sashimi. Not sure how to describe it but we didn't enjoy it much. The drink was great. You can order hot sake, cold sake, beer and non alcohol. If you go don't over order. You can always reorder within the 90 min. Please come earlier to beat the crowd.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday for happy hour. Current happy hour is from 5pm-7pm and 9pm-10pm but for Saturday and Sunday it's until 11pm. There are about 17 seats. Prices range from $1-$3 which is pretty incredible. Big rule here is you can only place your order once. So make a list prior to ordering. The $1 beer is restaurant's choice. It was Asahi on this day. Got seated as soon as they opened at 5pm but our order wasn't taken until 5:15pm. Eric was the only server for all 17 diners. He stayed calm and was as efficient as he could be. Our waters were filled without needed to be asked. Unfortunately on this day oysters were not available. He could not tell us if it would be available later or if at all. Which is fine as there were plenty of happy hour choices. We ordered nigiris, sashimi, sake, karaage and skewers. Karaage is a must order, large pieces and were juicy. The nigiris were alright. I wish the mochi bacon skewer would have been cooked a little longer so the mochi was nice and soft instead of slightly hard. The chicken thigh skewer and shisihto peppers was also a favorite. I recommend either coming just before they open at 5pm or at 6pm on a weekday. When we left around 6:15pm there was only 4 other people in line. Overall the happy hour prices can't be beat and the food was pretty good. I don't recommend big groups.

Yelp
Was looking forward to trying out this place after hearing amazing reviews about it online, only to be met with its questionable service and its 1.5 hourly schedule that ultimately left me with an almost ruined night. First things first - this place does not accept walk-ins. I don't know if there was something I missed, as I was under the impression that the groups of people were holding paper take-out menus because the wait was that long and they wanted to get the ordering process out of the way. I admit that was on me for getting one of those menus that was left in a basket, but in my defense there was no sign saying "Reservations Only" or "Walk Ins Not Allowed" anywhere, or even a person guarding the door to clarify things. I don't think there was any need to act snarky about it when there was genuinely no way to tell since there was no actual indication, both online and in-person, that this was a reservation only place. Overall not a pleasant experience. I wouldn't have minded setting up the reservation normally had someone clarified it normally, but after this experience I'm not even sure if this is a place worth coming to again. There are other sushi places within the same area of Ko, who are not only friendlier but will not shame you for breaking rules that they never bothered to tell you about to begin with.

Yelp
I do want to gatekeep this spot but they deserve a review. I have been coming to their happy hours every week and it is literally the best happy hour in SF. $1 oysters - literally so good. They come with a light ponzu sauce and green onion, haven't had a bad one yet. $2 karaage - a must order. My friends love it so much we order one per person every time. The chicken is so juicy and the outer layer is so crunchy. One thing to note is the spicy mayo has an interesting cumin flavor but I enjoy it. $3 nigiri - hit or miss depending on the day. Some days fish is better quality and one time I went the rice was hard but generally it's decent for the price. $2 skewers - a must order. My favorites are the pork belly, chicken thigh, and bacon Mochi. American wagyu is worth skipping, it was very tough when I had it. $3 handrolls - I enjoy them but they are probably the weakest order. The seaweed is veryyy chewy but the rice and fish have been pretty decent. Overall, my must orders are karaage, oysters and skewers. I have no complaints at all for the price and the restaurant is so cute. This is probably the only place in the city you can get a full meal + drinks for under $20.

Yelp
friend found this hidden gem through a tiktok video highlighting $20 ayce sushi when seated by 4:30. naturally had to try out. waited in line by 3:30 (in the rain), and by 4 pm, we put our name on the sheet. they gave a sheet to order. they opened up a side for those not drinking, we were seated there and it was filled right away. it sat maybe 25 people. while waiting, there are snacks and drinks in the fridge (so many good options). they had mostly asian bottles juices/carbonated canned drinks. the sushi itself was fresh, with no hint of the unpleasant fishy taste. the unagi (eel) is my personal favorite and it was absolutely tender and flavorful. the rolls were so good, cannot go wrong with rice and a bunch of sauce. we were three girls that had eyes bigger than our stomachs. 2/3 of our way in we were so full, so it was a food challenge the other 1/3. after they also have a freezer full of ice cream. overall, lesson learned: come with more people to try more options and with an emptier stomach...

Yelp
Visited on a Monday at 6pm with three other friends. The restaurant is fairly small and was full when I arrived, so had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Plan to get here a little before 5pm if ya want a spot for happy hour which now runs 5-7pm. Food: Nigiri - 2 pieces per order, we ordered the salmon, Hamachi, tuna, walu, unagi, albacore and tomago - all were okay nice small portion of rice with a generous portion of fish/egg on top, not the highest quality but decent for the price point Chicken Karaage - came with 4 large pieces, served with a spicy mayo, was piping hot when it arrived, chicken was fairly moist, very lightly breaded didn't have the crunch exterior I usually expect from karaage, okay overall Skewers - ordered pretty much one of each, all the veggies were well grilled but minimally seasoned the mushroom and shishitos were favorites on the veggie front - Jalapeno cheese sausage was spicy and sprinkled with grated cheese a little odd but if you like spicy sausage a decent option - Chicken thigh and pork belly was a bit dry so would probably skip next time - Calamari was okay a bit chewy and again minimally seasoned would probably skip unless your big on grilled squid - Shirmp was pretty good came with 3 decent sized shimp per skewer and the garlic was a nice twist from the other options - Chicken meatball was good well seasoned and glazed in a teriyaki like sauce - 49er roll - pretty good fatty salmon and avocado with a fresh tart hit of lemon - Toro tataki - really rich but good, generous with the spicy tuna and well seasoned and flavored - Spicy scallop - okay, not a ton of spice, rich creamy mouthfeel a bit more rice to protein for this roll - Signature super Ko ramen - nice creamy savory broth, lots of protein a bit light on the ramen noodle in comparison to the amount of protein, fairly tasty Service was okay a little abrupt but not bad. Server dropped off water and we were ready to order but they had to circle back with the actual order pad. We were also asked to move tables to optimize seating in the restaurant but this was before food arrived so minimal issues there. They did ask us to place all happy hour order in one go, water was re-filled throughout the meal as needed. We were able to add to the meal as we progressed but off the regular menu not happy hour. Overall a solid happy hour spot with lots of variety on the food menu, be prepared to wait for a table and best for small parties since the restaurant is very small. Off the happy hour menu the veggie skewers and chicken meatball skewers were good, would probably skip nigiri next time and dry more of the basic rolls instead. Non-happy hour menu ramen was a highlight.

Yelp
A really great deal for happy hour! We came here at about 8:45 PM for the 9-11 PM happy hour on a Saturday night. The decor inside is colorful and beautiful! We had to wait a bit because there are not that many tables. They offered me and my friend one of their larger tables but told us that we would then have to share the table; we opted to wait for a smaller table to be available, so we waited for about half an hour. There were only two servers, so at times it was hard to get our order in because people order often, but we were satisfied with the service and had a lot of fun. We got the salmon sashimi, different skewers (American Wagyu, chicken nankotsu, chicken thigh, pork belly, and garlic shrimp), a few hand rolls (spicy tuna, salmon and avocado, and rock & roll), nigiri (unagi and hamachi), chicken karaage, beer, and the house cold sake. Unfortunately, the oysters were not available when we went. Skewers: American Wagyu: 3/5, was overcooked and chewy but had good flavor. Chicken nankotsu: 3/5, decent but still chewy. Chicken thigh: 2/5, not a ton of flavor and rather chewy (but not raw). Pork belly: 4/5, great flavor but not as crispy as we hoped it would be. Garlic shrimp: 5/5, great flavor and best skewer of the night (we got more orders of it after). Hand rolls: Spicy tuna: 5/5, very generous with the tuna portion and so tasty! Salmon and avocado: 5/5, thick pieces of salmon and avocado was great texture. Rock & roll: 4/5, liked the unagi a lot. Nigiri: Unagi: 5/5, generous slices of eel and a great sauce. Hamachi: 5/5, a beautiful color of fish and so tender. Salmon sashimi: 5/5, thick slices (a little small but they are $1 so a fantastic deal regardless). Chicken Karaage: 5/5, it's 4 pieces per order and so hot and fresh. Love the sauce as well. Beer and sake: 5/5, so cheap and a good deal. For how much food we got, we definitely got our money's worth. The place definitely gets loud during happy hours as people take full advantage of the cheap alcohol, and it creates a fun, happy environment. Definitely worth it!

Yelp
If you've been on Tiktok, you would know that this place BLEW up for its cheap $25 AYCE+D option BUT it's only if you're the first couple of groups inside. It's normally $33 which already a good price for SF! The wait is absolutely insane like they open at 4:30PM and you need to be in line by 2pm and I've gone like 3 times just to be able to get a spot for the deal because I failed to get in the first couple of times. The sushi itself is pretty mediocre like rolls are pretty messy with rice falling apart and some of the sashimi freshness is questionable (don't get the tuna - it's a wack looking color like bright pink). They forgot like half of our order but was very nice when we reminded them. The restaurant is very small and you can only fit like 7 ish small tables. Overall, it's what you pay for.

Yelp
It was actually one of the worst experiences I had over in SF. I only came to know about this place because of TikTok and Instagram so my friend and I decided to check it out. We got in line around 3:30pm and were the 3rd party there. Around 4pm, one of the workers came out and got our name down and then started handing out menus so they can speed up the ordering process. At 4:20pm, we were led to the restaurant space next door and honestly it looked like a warehouse with minimal decor. Our table had paper plates and trays for us and a mason jar of chopsticks. The waiter came and took away our menu and soon the food came out one take at a time. I want to say that it took over 30 minutes for the food to come out for the 7 or so tables we had there. The fish looked fine at first but the only thing that was good was the salmon. But even then, we could have gone to Hmart to get better salmon sashimi. The hamachi was watery so you know it was frozen before coming out here. There was no tuna and the albacore kinda disintegrated in your mouth and was really mushy. The cuts for the sashimi weren't even normal sashimi cuts, it looked like they just cut some of the fish into sticks and called it a day. The appetizers were not good. We tried 1 roll and it was fine but after eating the fish, we didn't want to order more. Another thing was that since we were in the space next door, the waiter had to bring it from the restaurant, go outside, and come into the space, so by the time the hot food got to us, it was cold. They also ran out of a lot of things because they did not get their shipment. For $20, we got the AYCE sushi and unlimited snacks, ice cream, and nonalcoholic drinks. The snacks were whatever, they had a good selection of drinks, and the ice cream was rock solid so I had to thaw it before eating. I would not come here again just because the quality of fish was so bad and their other food selection was just not worth it, even at $20.

Yelp
Food: for the price point, it doesn't get better than this. Great quality izakaya bites. The portions also felt fair for the price, do note that some things are on the smaller side so it may be best to order more than you would think. I recommend the Unagi nigiri ($3 for 2pc), chicken karaage ($2 for 5-6pc), pork belly & chicken thigh skewers ($2/pc), salmon sashimi ($1/pc), and $1 beer. The oysters were also delicious for $1/pc, but are on the smaller side. I would skip the hot sake entirely, unless you enjoy a more astringent flavor profile. Service: it appears there are not many people working in the kitchen, so some food can take longer. It's worth the wait! It took about ~15 mins before we started receiving our food. Servers are kind but direct. If you have a bigger group, have your order typed out in advanced to make ordering easier. For happy hour, you must order everything you would like up front, you can't go back and order something. make sure you know what you want! We had a group of 6 and shared a table with 2 other customers. It worked out well, though, & felt like a true communal Izakaya experience! Ambiance: beautiful charming decor with lively colors. This is a cozy izakaya with minimal seating. There is one large table near the window that seats 8, so if you are bringing a bigger group you may need to split up. Tip: if you're coming here for happy hour, arrive early if you would like a spot. It gets packed fast! So far, this has to be my favorite happy hour spot in the city. Fantastic value!

Yelp
Heard about this place so we tried last week, the day after thanksgiving. We went there around 3:10pm and there are about 17 people ahead of us...so we waited til 4:30pm when they opened. Small place, around 8 tables, give or take and nice decor...we were the last one but since we're 3 people group the guy took us to 2 doors down to an addition seating area where just tables/chairs and drinks coolers and ice cream refrig for all you can drinks/eats. They didn't informed us that here they only do sodas and juices and teas not beers/sakes which I came here for...when ask to move to the other side, they just say no and if we decided to leave then we have to wait in line again for another 1.5 or 2hrs. SO disappointed but we decided to stay and we ordered. The foods came within 20-30mins from the other place through the street and it was decent (this is AYCE for $20/person during HH and $25 with liquors). The service is good, she was nice, very polite and very helpful. I think I still not happy that I came here from LA and unable to get sake or beers especially with the guy from the other place that took us to this room without asking us if we're drinking....we do look like we are alcoholic people so...that's why I only give 3 instead of 4 stars. We ate and left to another Japanese place 2 doors down this place for sake and beer and ramen. I still don't like the guy!!!

Yelp
I came to visit during their happy hour. Their happy hour menu is a great deal - it runs from 5-7pm (it got extended from 6pm!!) and also 9-10/11pm. The prices look very attractive as well - $1 beers, $2 sake, kaarage, skewers, $3 nigiri, hand rolls etc. However, this is one of the examples of "you get what you pay for". Fish quality is just okay. The rice in the nigiri was a little mushy. Sake also tasted pretty meh. I didn't get the beer but it's canned asahi/sapporo so I don't think you can go wrong with that. We tried the wagyu skewer and it was definitely overcooked. I was also a little put off by the fact that the sake cups were these weirdly shaped plastic containers. Service was, unfortunately, also just okay. They're definitely understaffed wtih only 1 waiter taking orders, serving food, managing the waitlist and clearing tables. There were many instances where a table was empty but it took a while for the table to be cleared and even longer for the new party to be seated. I'm glad the happy hour time got extended because we arrived a little before 5:30pm but ended up being seated around 6:15pm. They ask you to leave your phone number on the waitlist but most people wait outside and are present when they are called. Given how busy the restaurant is, I am not sure if people are even given a call so you better be there when they call your name. The waiter there was also a little sassy, but I guess I can't blame him since he must be stretched thin. Ko used to be Chome - the decor and menu are largely the same. Although I think Ko is a little cheaper, I liked Chome way more :/

Yelp
The oysters & salmon sashimi or nigiri were tasty! The skewers come with 2-3 skewers (they don't mention it on the menu) we made the mistake of thinking it was only 1 so we had excess. They were also pretty good! Skip the tuna. It's that artificial pink frozen tuna that's usually used for searing- not raw preparations (although we should be using the all natural stuff all the time) it was unpleasant. The scallop nigiri was too soft and mushy. Honestly, just get the sushi & oysters. Try a skewer or two but it's nothing you'll want to keep ordering.

Yelp
The $20 AYCE sushi was such a good deal, it all tasted fresh and was serving of each order was paced very quickly and efficiently, so you can really get the most out of the limited time there. I liked the nigiri over the rolls, honestly, because just the fish taste was really great. Also, do not get the wasabi raw octopus unless you really like wasabi! It was like wasabi soup, hahhaha

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night. We missed the deal but thought that $30 for AYCE sushi seemed still pretty good. The service was ok, it did feel a bit rushed as we only ate for an hour and then already gave us the bill when I thought the limit was 90 mins. I also thought the sushi was just alright, but I thought the skewer options were pretty good!

Yelp
We came here for the happy hour, and I do think a lot about the quality of food in comparison to the price point. The food was delicious given its affordable prices as well. I especially enjoyed the $2 skewers and hand roll. Ko is small and intimate but can get quite loud due to its casual nature. The service is also speedy!

Yelp
Great spot for AYCE sushi! They have a large variety of items, as well as alcoholic drinks. It's $25 before 4:30pm and $33 after, they also only have AYCE and don't serve a normal menu. I do think that the quality does match the price point, so don't expect amazing high grade sushi but I still thought it was great! All of our proportions were pretty big/full sized, so prepare yourself when ordering in large amounts.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my time at KO. We tried coming for the happy hour that starts when the restaurant opens but on a Sunday the line was already long an hour and a half before opening so we ended up getting the regular menu (which is still a great deal!). I truly believe that for this price in San Francisco, it's hard to find anything better. The sushi is not the best you'll ever find of course, but it was honestly pretty good and tender. The only fish that really disappointed was the poke, it felt rough and frozen and the flavor was off. Everything else however was great, and we were even pleasantly surprised by the cooked items like the karage and the galbi. They also weren't too too strict about having a couple leftovers which was honestly really nice. The restaurant itself was very cute and well decorated and we were very surprised by how quick the service was ! You could definitely order a few times in the time provided which we were not expecting, so don't be like us and order everything at once ! I can't wait to go back, and hopefully a day where I can actually catch the Happy Hour as well !

Yelp
Incredible happy hour deal -- $1/raw oyster, $2/skewer, $3/nigiris (2 pieces)! We ordered: - Oysters So fresh seasoned with ponzu. No fishiness at all; can't believe this was only $1 each! Skewers: - Chicken Nankotsu - Chicken Thigh - American Wagyu - Garlic Shrimp - Shishito Peppers - King Trumpet Mushroom Everything was 10/10 except the wagyu which was tough and not tender at all like wagyu should be. The garlic shrimp was surprisingly good; I'm not usually a fan of shrimp, but this one was seasoned to perfection and had a nice bite to it. My favorites were the mushroom (so much umami!) and chicken nankotsu (scrumptious texture but definitely an acquired taste; if you like cartilage and chicken feet, you'll like this). My group thought each order came with 2 skewers when it's 1 in reality; this would be the perfect arrangement for a solo diner to try a variety. Nigiri: - Salmon - Hamachi - Walu - Unagi - Albacore 10/10 for all 5! I had lower expectations because of the low price, but the sashimi was so fresh and tender. Happy hour is only 1 hour from 5-6pm, and there are only about 8 small tables. We dined on a Monday and arrived at 5pm sharp; within a few minutes, the restaurant filled up. I had also tried to no avail for happy hour on a Friday arriving at around 5:30pm. Both the menu and interior reminded me of Lower Nob Hill's Public Izakaya; if you like them, you'll like it here, too.

Yelp
I'm sad to say that Ko was incredibly disappointing. Like many others, I saw this place blow up on tiktok recently for their great price on AYCE sushi. So we went by on a Wednesday to try it, and unfortunately it did not meet our expectations at all. We got in line at about 3pm for the 4:30 opening. We were about the 4th group in line, so we felt good about being able to eat when it opened. I wouldn't recommend getting there to wait in line much later than 3pm if you're hoping to get the Happy Hour special of being seated before 5pm. When it opened at 4:30, we went in and were seated quickly since we're only a party of 2. The group behind us of 4 did not make it since the larger tables inside were already full, so they unfortunately waited for no reason and ultimately left, since it would be another 90 minutes before they're be able to sit down. Note that there are only 8 total tables inside, 2 of them being larger tables that can seat 4-6. We ordered and submitted our menus at the same time as the other groups, and then the waiting began. Shortly after, food started coming out. But only for some people. Despite ordering at the exact same time as everyone else, we didn't get our first dish until over HALF AN HOUR later. And it was only a 2 piece nigiri. That wait time was incredibly frustrating. Not only that, but every other table was served AT LEAST 2 dishes before we ever got our first. Even other customers were talking to us and laughing and wondering why we hadn't gotten our food yet. And to be clear, we had ordered the exact same dishes as the other tables, so there was absolutely no reason for our ridiculous wait time. When our 2nd dish finally came out about 45 minutes after we ordered (note that the AYCE time limit is 90 minutes, so half of that had already expired) it had a hair in it! So i obviously sent that back with the waiter, meaning we had to wait even longer for our 2nd dish. And then once again, other tables got theirs first before we got our replacement dish. It honestly felt like a joke at this point. Throughout the night, the same one table kept getting served faster than everyone else which was frustrating. The service in general was very slow which made it difficult to order what we wanted in such a limited time frame. I am understanding that it's a very small restaurant and likely understaffed, but it seemed as though they were biting off more than they could chew unfortunately. In addition the poor/slow service, an 18% service fee is automatically included on the menu. I don't mind tipping at all, but I think this is a bit ridiculous for such bad service and dining experience overall. The food itself was not bad, but also wasn't amazing. And considering we had waited for over 2 hours total, the experience overall was pretty much already ruined. It would have to be really really good food to make up for everything that had already happened. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place, but hopefully you will have a better experience if you give them a chance. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Food was amazing sad they didn't have oysters though :// got in line at 3:15 pm on a Saturday and we were the last group to get the before 5pm deal but we had to share a table with another group. The place is small but service was amazing and fast. What could make it better is if they had a Yelp waitlist instead of waiting in line for over an hour. But none the less I would be back but probably on a weekday next time

Yelp
Very small but cozy restaurant, maybe about 8 tables, super friendly staff. Happy hour is an amazing deal! $1 salmon sashimi $1, $1 fresh oyster,$2 skewer, and $3 nigiri (2 pieces) and basic handrolls. Everything was fresh and tasty. For skewers, I recommend pork belly, chicken nonkotsu (cartillage), mushrooms, tomato, shishito pepper. For nigiri, walu (escolar ie super white tuna) and yellowtail were great! tamago is big and good for kids as well. For handrolls, eel avocado and shrimp tempura are both fresh and tempura was hot and crispy. Thanks for the warm service!

Yelp
Met up with some high school friends, and Ko had a good vibe for it! Seating is a bit limited, so make sure your whole party is there / you have a small group. I didn't realize, but their only menu is AYCE and drink, $33pp. Honestly, not a bad deal but we didn't drink... the fish cuts are thick and decently fresh. Menu is not giant but has a good variety. My favorite was the truffle hamachi carpacio, but our table also really liked the chicken karaage. Would go again and try to make happy hour ($25pp).

Yelp
The BEST deal for AYCE sushi, skewers, and drinks in town! No where in the city can you get such a variety of different rolls, nigiri, sashimi, skewers and appetizers for such an affordable price. As of September 2024, the AYCE price is $33 for after 5:30pm. I believe before then, it's a bit cheaper. But honestly, they could probably afford charging a bit more since the fish is extremely fresh, portions are decently sized, and service is super friendly. My recommendations for AYCE are the nigiri (geoduck is a must!), mushroom skewers (surprisingly enough), sashimi plate, and chicken karage. The line can be a bit intimidating, but my party of three was seated within an hour on a Monday evening (after arriving around 6:50pm). Definitely check this gem in the Mission out!
