A Truly Wonderful First Visit to Ko Thai During Thanksgiving. This was my first time visiting Ko Thai during the Thanksgiving season, and it turned out to be an exceptional experience. The restaurant is beautifully and elegantly decorated—clean, organized, and spacious. The layout includes indoor seating, outdoor seating, and an upstairs dining area that can even be arranged for private gatherings or special events. I chose to sit inside, where the bar area was not only stylish but also very inviting. The food exceeded my expectations. The crispy cream cheese appetizer was delicious, and the Yazo Thon Roasted Duck served with rice noodles was outstanding—the duck was tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was amazing, not too sweet, and beautifully prepared. The cocktails were refreshing, creatively decorated, and you could really see the bartender’s attention to detail in every drink. The service was excellent. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and enthusiastic from the moment I walked in. The owner was friendly and made the atmosphere even warmer and more enjoyable. I truly appreciate choosing this restaurant to celebrate such an important holiday. I am very impressed with Ko Thai and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!😊

One of the best restaurants I’ve been in DFW area! Highly recommend. The owner is incredibly kind and attentive. I ate the crying tiger sirloin steak, tom yum soup, the duck, the red snapper, and the cowboy bowl. Would order everything again! The decor is so beautiful, with giant statues in the dining area. Every single cocktail was stunning, and tasted impeccable. Will be coming back again and again. Best Thai food in Fort Worth!

Really enjoyed this elevated take on Thai Cuisine. Fairly new place on Magnolia was just the ticket for something different for this birthday girl. The restaurant gives an elegant vibe with dining available downstairs, upstairs (elevator available), and on the patio. The waitstaff was attentive but not overbearing. I think our server was a little new, but he did a good job. I really enjoyed my go-to Pad Thai for the most part. I'm fairly picky about my tofu and it was a little overdone for how I like it, but the rest of the dish was delicious. We also had the roasted duck breast - and then the mango sticky rice was a nice change for a birthday dessert

We were really looking forward to trying this Thai restaurant, as we’re frequent Thai food eaters and love exploring new spots. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit disappointing. We ordered takeout for dinner, and while the staff was friendly and the food was ready on time, several things fell short. The chicken fried rice lacked flavor and needed more seasoning or sauce. We were happy the rice to-go container was full. The yellow curry had a delicious flavor, but it was missing the carrots that were listed on their online menu. On top of that, the portion was only half full even though it cost $17, which didn’t feel worth the price. The Thai tea was excellent — creamy and flavorful — but it was filled with mostly ice, so there wasn’t much tea to enjoy. I should have asked for light ice. Overall, while the flavors were mostly enjoyable, the lack of flavor in the fried rice, missing ingredients in the curry, and small portions made it a bit of a disappointing experience. We may try it again, but not sure if it stands out enough to pay the extra amount comparatively. I will say just walking into the restaurant to pick up the food, it is a lovely decorated restaurant and the staff was kind.

Really cool new restaurant. I love the decore with the huge statues. Service was wonderful. Employees came by frequently to check how everything was. I loved the thai tea. The lemongrass edamame was my favorite thing I ate. We enjoyed how fresh the shrimp and chips tasted. I enjoyed the red snapper dish as well. The spice level on everything was perfect. I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful cozy restaurant with excellent service. Prices are standard although the vibe would make you think you were about to pay for it! Really near upstairs that you take via elevator. We had their Garlic Chicken Thai Rice, Yellow Curry with Tofu, and Tom Yum Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious except the Tom Yum Soup. Not the best I’ve ever had and only had a single lemongrass. Luckily my daughter liked the soup so not removing a star, but i was not a fan. The rest of the meal was great. Service was excellent. Friendly and Always available and never pushy or overbearing. It is a smaller restaurant so i advise to make reservations if you go Thursday to Sunday.

This is our second time going and each time was phenomenal. Atmosphere is really nice. Dim, quiet, and lowkey good for a nice night out. Service is subtle but great, and the food was so amazing we talked about it for weeks until coming back again. Highly recommend the tom yum soup and the mango sticky rice dessert. They were out of the dessert the first time we came and our waiter told us it’s best to call ahead and ask for one to be set aside. That’s what we did today and they did just that, no questions asked. And then that same waiter recognized us and checked up to see if it was worth the call ahead (which it obviously was.) all that to say, I’d tell anyone this is a must have.

I absolutely love the atmosphere and food here! I ordered the papaya salad and grilled chicken — both were so delicious. The papaya salad was fresh and flavorful, and the grilled chicken was perfectly tender and juicy. Definitely a place I’ll come back to again!

Yelp
Overall, the experience at the restaurant was nice. The ambiance, setting, and sculpture made the environment enjoyable. I loved having the option of the patio or the full bar. The music was chosen very well, and the warm colors gave the setting a cool and cozy vibe. The food was also good. I tried the cream cheese, which was a nice take on the crab rangoon, which was nicely filled and paired well with the sweet and sour sauce. The dumplings had great flavor and a nice coating of sauce. , However, there were also some areas of improvement. The server did not introduce himself and checked in too early once the food arrived. This made the meal feel rushed. These little things make it a four-star experience rather than a five-star experience. The main dish was delicious, but had a few problems. The red curry with chicken came in a bowl that was too small. Also, the carrots looked like frozen vegetables rather than fresh ingredients. There was also too much food in the bowl, not enough of the curry base. The tropical chicken's carrots again had a strange cut and lacked flavoring. The chicken, however, was tasty and resembled a take on orange chicken. In addition, the restaurant should offer seasonal specials with in-season fruits and vegetables. Overall, I would go back again. I would recommend this restaurant, and I would hope that the service continues to improve.

Yelp
Incredible dinner at Ko Thai - a must-visit! We had dinner at Ko Thai and were blown away by the experience. Even though they've only been open a month, this spot is already a standout. We had a reservation (thankfully!), as the place filled up quickly not long after we arrived. Right away, you're struck by the amazing ambiance--rich red tones, dramatic lighting, and beautiful statues create a warm, elegant vibe that still feels fun and inviting. The staff was outstanding--incredibly attentive and welcoming without hovering. We started with four appetizers, and each one was a hit visually and flavor-wise: Cream Cheese - Beautifully presented like little golden purses, perfectly crisp and paired with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Fresh Salad Rolls - Packed with crisp veggies, served with both creamy peanut and sweet chili sauces. Super fresh and satisfying. Chicken Satay - Tender, perfectly grilled skewers with a flavorful curry marinade, served with classic peanut sauce and refreshing cucumber. Curry Puffs - Flaky, layered pastry filled with savory chicken, sweet potato, and warm curry spices. A bite-sized burst of comfort. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir from their surprisingly solid wine list--served chilled and a great complement to the spice and depth of the apps. For our main course, we went with the Yellow Curry with Jasmine Rice. It was creamy, perfectly spiced, and loaded with tender chicken, onion, and potato. Comforting and full of flavor without being too heavy. Everything about this meal was delightful. From the food to the decor to the service, Ko Thai is clearly putting in the work to get it right. We can't wait to go back and try even more from the menu. Pro tip: Make a reservation--they're gaining popularity fast, and for good reason!

Yelp
The place is beautiful with large Thai statues flanking both sides of the restaurant. The food is presented on beautiful looking earthenware. I enjoyed the Pad see ew. Loved the flavors just would've loved the carrots slivered instead of French fry cut. Don't get me wrong it makes the dish beautiful but a little tough to eat along side the tender noodles. The Thai tea lemonade was really good so make sure to give it a try. The service was quick and efficient.

Yelp
My wife and I came up here for lunch today and we were both very impressed. I feel like not many Thai places around the area have been up to these standards. I will be coming back for sure for the ambience and wonderful meals.

Yelp
"Thai Me a River" - A Love Letter Dipped in Peanut sauce First, the cream cheese puffs. They're not just cute. They're offensively adorable. Golden, crispy, flaky little parcels of joy, filled with warm, melty cream cheese and served with a sweet dipping sauce. I made eye contact with one and whispered, "I love you," before eating it. No regrets. Then came the salad rolls--the fresh, veggie-packed diplomats of the meal. They're like the friend who drinks herbal tea and remembers your birthday. Crisp lettuce, perfectly cooked shrimp with fresh herbs. The pad see ew? Oh, honey. Thick rice noodles, perfectly chewy. Broccoli that somehow managed to be both crispy and perfectly cooked. I would order this again and again. Now, let's talk wine. The selection here included wine from William Chris and the Mendoza region...sold! Atmosphere? Cozy, elegant, with lighting that made me feel like the main character. Service? Friendly, attentive, fast, and somehow managing to make me feel both pampered and chill, like I was at a spa that also served Thai food, which honestly should exist. Final verdict: 13/10. Would eat again. Would recommend.

Yelp
Loved this place! Really nice inside and great service. We tried their gyoza which was amazing I had never had it with cheese on top and was pretty delicious. We then got two of their noodles the pad see ew and pad kee mao and 10/10 for both. Pretty big portions as well, my friend and I shared both and still had left overs. Overall great food and vibe.

Yelp
This place is nice and the food was pretty good. Ordered the Tom Yum soup. It was a thicker than what I'd expect from Tom Yum but nevertheless it was good. And for the main, I ordered the green curry. That was tasty. The portions are perfect in my opinion, not too much. The place is really big so, guessing there may be a rush on weekends or evenings. The staff was attentive and overall I thought this place was good. I'll come back again to try something different and review again

Yelp
Ambiance- from the patio walking in, to the high ceiling decor - this two story restaurant with patio dining & bar is gorgeous. Light music playing in the background, enough to hear it but can also have conversation at your table. Tables well placed. Beautiful bar as well. Clean restrooms, which is always appreciated. Street Parking or parking garage directly behind & they'll validate. Service- Friendly & welcoming. Helpful with menu suggestions & explaining dishes. Anticipated our needs, but didn't hover too much. Food- The reason we will back! Love a cute restaurant that has amazing food as well. Win win! Everything we ordered was quite delicious, we have items that we MUST order again next time and discussed what we can't wait to come back and try. Ordered- Smoked Salmon Salad Rolls Shrimp Pad Thai Curry Puffs Dumplings

Yelp
Ko Thai is a new restaurant on Magnolia, in the medical district. The food is excellent, very fresh. The restaurant is very modern and beautiful, with two floors (with an elevator), and upstairs & downstairs patios. The service is friendly. Over all, we had an great dinner and are already taking about going back.

Yelp
The most beautiful Thai restaurant, ambience is amazing, there's patio seating, upstairs seating, you can tell the owners put in thought to all the touches including the menu, flatware and take out bag. They are in soft opening still. Location is prime and the area was in need of a good Thai restaurant. I got the Thai tea, veggie eggs rolls and pad Thai. The Thai tea and pad Thai were good but I found it to be too sweet, both the drink and dish are already on the sweeter side but they could cut down on the added sugar. I did said medium spicy for my entree and the chili oil wasn't spicy either. We asked for Thai chilis and they did bring that but I don't want to bite into Thai chilis. I think they should be able to cater to those who want more spice and flavor. The service was great and I look forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Yelp
Service was pretty decent. The noodles were told to us to be similar to like "drunken noodle," They were incredibly bland though when they first came out, it looked like they were cooked perfectly, but it was missing any kind of flavor like a soy or the brown gravy sauce just something was missing - got a side of soy sauce to add some flavor. The green curry was really good, but I think I only remember having maybe three pieces of chicken in there or four, there is hardly any chicken at all. No eggplant. Spice level goes from 1-3. Papaya salad was great at a level 2 but again, not a great portion for the price. We did it as an appetizer. They don't offer any kind of lunch specials or Happy Hour so not sure how it'll last with having Spice like a block away. Service was good, plates and silverware were fancy. Very cool building inside and statues. Bathroom is on 2nd floor...weird. Will return to try after they work out the kinks.

Yelp
Great summer cocktails ( Lichee lover ) were the start of a nice Sunday dinner of Thai food on Magnolia . The Tom ka soup was some of the best we've had and the salad rolls with smoked salmon were a great spin. We came early and got sat right away. The decor is modern Thai elegance in brass tones and cinnabar. I think we found our Thai food fix finally here in Fort Worth.

Yelp
New Thai addition to Magnolia...laid back atmosphere with both outdoor, indoor, and a 2nd floor for more seating or a large event. We went for a lunch date, and all entrees were flavorful. Although there were no separate lunch menu, the menu had a large variety of price points to accommodate all. Menu had great Thai staples with typical stir fries, noodles, curries, salads, and more.

Yelp
Ko Thai is a welcome newcomer to Fort Worth's Thai food scene, offering a clean, modern atmosphere and attentive service that already feel well-established. We tried the Pad Thai and Kraw Pao--both solid, flavorful choices with portion sizes that felt balanced and satisfying. The highlight of the meal was easily the curry puffs: flaky, well-seasoned, and one of the only items on the menu that felt distinct from the standard Thai fare in the area. On the downside, the spice level was underwhelming--even at medium--and the overall menu leans safe, lacking bold or original interpretations. The entrance layout is also a bit awkward, which could be confusing for first-time visitors. They're still in soft opening, and the pacing of the meal reflected that, with some timing issues still being ironed out. Even so, Ko Thai shows strong potential and is worth visiting for a dependable Thai experience--and hopefully more standout dishes like those curry puffs in the future.

Yelp
I enjoyed all the dishes. I look forward to coming back to try other items. Service was good, they were on the slower side to bring water but that's just soft opening kinks. Otherwise very friendly! I love that they have out door seating! On a Tuesday night people were out and the patio was nearly full!

Sam P.

Yelp
Everything here is good...went with the family and everyone was happy from service to food and the staff is very attentive! Eggrolls, chicken satay, curry rice, the minced chicken dish and the pad Thai was really good make sure to order all their spicy sauces add so much flavor! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This spot is a hidden gem! Food was super flavorful and well put together. We started off with the lychee lovers cocktails (a must), and the Gyoza fried dumplings for the apps. Wifey got the pad see ew and I got the yellow curry chicken and shrimp. We both really enjoyed both of our plates. Our server Lal, was very much on top of things. The table was perfect for two, but could get "busy" with all the dishes, and he always made sure our tables were clear of clutter and our waters were topped off. The vibe is definitely an original. It's welcoming with the upbeat tunes, and the lighting still intimate enough for the perfect date night. Will we be back again?? Does a one-legged duck swim in circles?? Absolutely...

Yelp
Best dumplings and gyoza I have had in Fort Worth. Beautiful restaurant. Service was good.

Yelp
I travel a ton for work, and I know what good Thai food tastes like......but KO is a step above (when talking flavor/and freshness)! Easily the best Thai restaurant I've been to in the past couple years. I had the Yellow Curry with jasmine rise, and the dumplings....wanted to order more but had no room. Additionally the cocktails were delightfully, which paired nicely with the amazing service! In short this is a fine restaurant that will not disappoint and isn't overly priced!

Yelp
Delicious first experience. I had the tofu pad thai and it was so flavorful, especially when I added the chile oil. (I did medium spicy.) it was very green onion heavy, but I actually really enjoyed that aspect. 10/10!

Diana S.

Yelp
Very good food! Nice setting, the servers were great. Definitely recommend. Enjoyed it all!

Elle C.

Yelp
without a doubt, the worst Thai food I've ever ever had. The pad Thai was extremely bland and literally tasted like plain noodles. I also ordered a stirfry and it was like unseasoned chicken floating in a bland sauce.

Tierra P.

Yelp
Stumbled across this restaurant by accident but it was very good, they've only been open for 2 months but we were very pleasantly surprised. Had the Tom Yum and it was very good. Very tomato-y and super good flavor. Service was good too, the hostess was just chatting with us about love island and was super nice. We had a group of 7 and they were very accommodating and moved tables together for us. It was so pretty in there as well, great vibe. Would love to go again the next time I'm in Fort Worth.

Steve B.

Yelp
Beautiful place with great food presented well. Easy parking in the garage behind the restaurant
