DO NOT TIP AT THIS PLACE, THE OWNER KEEPS ALL TIPS AND DOESNT SHARE WITH THE EMPLOYEES ACTUALLY DOING THE WORK. Really good, fresh poke bowl. The fish was fresh and tasty with good topping choices. It's a bit expensive but it seems like everything in Miami is getting pricey. Do not tip at the place, the workers said they do not get the tips!!! Totally shady. But the food was great. Edit: if you've read the owners response I just want to note that the employee I asked knew exactly what I was asking, she spoke good English and when I made it clear I wouldn't tip she agreed.

Google
This is the by far the freshest and most delicious poke I’ve had in Miami 😍 I’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints! The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is immaculately clean. I really like the “build your own bowl” option. So far I’ve had spicy salmon and lobster poke bowls and the seafood is always fresh and tender. I also love the variety of veggies, sauces, oils and topics like the crispy shallots, ponzu sauce and sesame oil. They have acai bowls, premade poke bowls and sushi burritos which I look forward to trying soon!

Google
One of the reasons why i loved this place is you can create your own poke bowl. All ingredients were super fresh, the place was extremely clean and staff were super attentive to any requests. It’s located in the center of Miami Beach and just a few minutes away from the beach! Great place! Highly recommend!

PICTURES 2/3 are from another place. Great disappointment. I’m from San Antonio and a huge fan of poke bowls. First thing we noticed-price. 20$ for 2 scoops bowl is a lot but it might be good, we thought. However, not only they don’t have a lot add-ons options, they also not trying to fill the bowl with available ones. Cashier literally was counting slices of radish she put on, like come on, its 90cents per lb. 😂😂And you’re counting slices. Bowl was half full and 3/4 of this bowl was rice. For reference, pics 2/3 thats how you get 2 scoops in SA for 13$. I’m not comparing prices here, its Miami. But we definitely didn’t expect the bowl to be made that poorly for this money. Pure robbery. Def won’t be back ever again

Google
Nice place, tasty fresh food. Clean inside and super cool area outside. 2 min from all the restaurants at linking road, but definitely has different vibe. As you can see this place was empty when we came. Next time I’ll try their sushi, there are at least 10 different types 👌

Google
This is a great choice if you are looking for something fast and healthy! The Kia Poke offers delicious bowls (poke) and sushi. Everything is prepared fresh and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable and the quality is great 👍

Google
I really enjoyed the different food options they had here. For instance, you can add siracha to your sushi!. From premade poke and sushi rolls to build your own roll or bowl, there are tons of options to choose from. The food was super fresh, the ingredients were good quality, and the line moved very quickly. I liked it.

Google
The poke is delicious the lady that served me even opened and cut a new fresh avocado she was also patient. However it’s not really cheap but it’s ok we spend in total 51 dollars for two pokes and a can of Coca Cola. The price is normal for the area and the quality.

Yelp
Freaking delicious!! Best poke bowl I have ever had. Period. We tend to eat poke at least 1-2x/month and we're so pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The protein scoops were plentiful and the topping options were a perfect match. Very happy!!

Kevin S.

Yelp
A bit disappointed with Koa Poke and Burrito. My poke bowl came to $34. Mind you, I'm someone who has a large appetite. So when I saw that two tiny scoops of protein was all that a standard poke bowl came with, I knew I needed to order more. I got two extra scoops. Even with 4 scoops of protein and nearly of every topping added, there wasn't enough base rice to leave me feeling satiated. At that price for a poke bowl, I would expect much more. The quality of the fish itself was fine. Didn't have that melty, succulent, just-caught-from-the-ocean, fresh taste. But it was still good and got the job done. 2 stars for the disappointing price to portion ratio. 4 stars for the decent quality. 3 stars in totality.

Yelp
Beautifully presented, but this Acai Bowl is frozen solid. I can't eat it! U guess i'll wait for it to thaw Huge chunks of ice. Blueberries are quite literally frozen rocks. For a $16 acai bowl, you can at least make it edible

Christopher P.

Yelp
TLDR was the poke bowl was excellent but the service was grumpy and the value pretty meh. On the plus side, the poke bowl itself was one of the best tasting (and quality) poke bowls I've had. Family said the Acai bowls were good as well. For two poke and two acai bowls (and tip), the cost was a $88. Okay, chalk it up to Miami Beach, which is pretty pricey. My main complaint was the lady working the register - very grumpy, scowled when I asked for forks and napkins. I really regret tipping them (I did because the woman preparing our bowls was nice) 20%. We for sure would have went back if not for her. It's rare where I get this annoyed with service but she achieved it.

Nicholas P.

Yelp
We were in town for a night staying at a hotel around the way and stopped in for an early dinner. Went with a poke bowl. The fish seems fresh and the options for toppings and sauces were really good. They were pretty generous with the proteins I ordered and were really patient explaining the options of what went on next. I also got white rice and arugula, which is different than my usual poke order, but will be a new addition going forward. The place is small inside with some seating, but there is plenty of seating outside. Overall good experience and the food was just want we were looking for.

Jessica A.

Yelp
The açaí bowl had a ton of toppings and was filling. It took around 10 minutes or so for the order to be brought to the table which was fine.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the food , you get to pick what to put in it and make it your own. Everything was delicious . Super helpful staff ! Definitely have to visit if your in Miami !

Jack S.

Yelp
Always wanted to try a poke burrito, and it was a cool experience. Kind of a marketing scam - it's just a very large sushi roll. Needless to say, the fish here was very fresh. Was the amount you were given worth $20? Absolutely not. I've gotten Poke bowls elsewhere with similar qualities for $12-$15, but you're paying the tourist tax here. Worth checking out for a quick and healthy snack.

Ande W.

Yelp
Convenient location to the Leows hotel so I decided to give it a try as I love poké. It did not disappoint - I did the build your own bowl with spicy tuna and the tuna was fresh as so flavorful. The toppings were great I especially loved the pickled cucumber and chili oil shallots. If in the area will definitely be back.

Terri E.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, stopped in here earlier in the week and quickly turned around when my group saw the $20 price point for a poké bowl. I love poké but that was quite expensive! And I do realize we're in Miami Beach but I've also had excellent poké bowls in Vegas and Los Angeles for less. I think a reasonable price is $15. Needless to say, we ended up at Joe & the Juice next door. Today, I'm working in the area again and decided I wouldn't mind spending the $20 for a poké bowl because I didn't eat breakfast and I wanted a good meal since I'm working a super long day and not sure what I'm going to eat for dinner. Ha. Funny rationalization. I opted for the Build Your Own Bowl for $20. Pick one base, two scoops of proteins, unlimited veggies, unlimited toppings and sauces of choice. Here's what I had: - Arugula - Tuna & Salmon - Edamame - Red onion - Seaweed salad - Mango - Masago - Crunchy shallots - Chili crispy shallots - Toasted almonds - Pickled ginger - Scallions - Truffle ponzu sauce on side - Spicy mayo on side My bowl was made to perfection. I love that it wasn't too heavy and I love all the different flavors and textures in each bite. The mango was not quite ripe and it was a little too firm and not at all sweet. But it was still good because it's a mango! I loved the chili crispy shallots option. Shallots make food taste better. It's a fact. Ha. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with each step. The options can be overwhelming but make it fun and get all the stuff you like. Can't really go wrong. My poké bowl was worth the $20!!! Even though I wish it was more reasonably priced at $15. Lol.

Joanna C.

Yelp
Was staying right around the corner from Koa Poke and had a ton of work to do so it became my go-to food spot. Acai and poke bowls are my jam so was pretty happy about that. Prices made me less happy, but it's Miami Beach. Food was fine, nothing to rave above, but good enough for me to come back multiple times. The tuna in my poke bowl was fresh and the toppings were solid. The acai bowl would've benefitted from more acai, but appreciated all the fresh fruit. Service was nice, albeit a bit slow. Not a place I miss, but a place I would come back to.

Brandis S.

Yelp
This was great poke! Very fresh, and friendly service. I got a bowl with sushi rice, salmon, and shrimp. I tried to get the Maine lobster but they were out, unfortunately. While the price point is high compared to what I'm used to, it's Miami Beach so I get it. I always need an extra scoop of protein in my bowls, but I got one this time ($4) and it was maybe too much. There wasn't a huge variety of toppings but I enjoyed by seaweed salad and tobiko. Overall, a very good bowl!

Puja D.

Yelp
The only thing I could dock this on was the price. I believe I paid about $20 for this but honestly, it was worth every penny. First of all, the fish was SO fresh and mixed so well in the sauce. All of the toppings were crisp and yummy. They were not at all stingy in the bowl either, there was so much food I could not finish it by myself. This is honestly a must go to place. If ever in Miami again, I will be coming back.

Nina S.

Yelp
We ordered two açai bowls that were $15 and $15.50. It took about 15 minutes for them to bring them to us and when they arrive to the berries on top were frozen when I asked for the manager, he said he would give me my money back if I didn't want them but that's how they do it here they put them on frozen because we're in Miami and they will thaw fast. So I took it back to the table and decided I would wait to see how long it took the large, frozen, blueberries and extremely broken up, frozen raspberries to thaw. Then the manager came to the table and told me I was being rude, and that he was not forcing me to eat the açai bowl. I looked at him with incredulity and I told him I was just waiting to see how long it took the berries to thaw. At that point my husband said just give us our money back so as I was sitting there, writing the reviews, the owner came out to the sidewalk table and told us we had to leave the tables outside are dirty, with dried up food splatter on them and it's not even busy season! By the way, we live here in Miami Beach. The owner called me a Karen. In case you don't know, I Karen is a person who falsely accuses somebody of breaking the law. A Karen is not someone who asks you politely to leash your dog or follow some other ordinance or law. And Karen is not someone who states the fax at a restaurant that is serving frozen berries. We did return these and get our money back.

Ravida S.

Yelp
Great customer service! Clean inside and always space to eat ! Love their food a lot !

Andrey Z.

Yelp
For a person who experienced poke for a first time, it was an example of quality, balanced taste and price. Amazing place. The stuff is welcoming and helpful. Many glory years to you guys!

Sergio F.

Yelp
I was feeling particularly healthyish after getting my vitamin IV next door - and prior to going for a run - so I stopped in for lunch. I hesitated at first, since the menu is seafood centric other than dessert açaí bowls. However I saw they did have chicken as one of their proteins. Food prep is what I call "paint by the numbers" where you select a protein, base and veggies. I of course ordered their popcorn chicken with sweet chili sauce (yes it was mildly spicy), plenty of fresh arugula, cherry tomatoes, and a dash of scallions. Heck I even took extra chicken. I was so hungry I forgot to photograph it! My acai bowl came out at the same time, and this is where they get the extra star. Since acai and fresh fruits are better eaten cool, the manager offered to keep my bowl in the freezer while I ate my main to keep things cool. Oh and yes, as you can see in the photo, my "Berry Energy" dessert bowl was topped with fresh bananas, goji berries, strawberries and blue berries.

Nicole R.

Yelp
Wow! I've never built my own poke bowl before! A learning experience, but the staff was friendly and helpful! Wish I could have went more than once during our trip but they are closed on Sundays.

Denise D.

Yelp
E X P E R I E N C E Walk in. Order like you're in subway. Quick service! I N T E R I O R Open. Clean. Simple. Casual. F O O D poke bowl 2 scoops, salmon x2, edamame, red onion, seaweed salad, redradish, mango, masago, dogs, ginger, scallions, ponzu: tasty. Fresh. You can try the sauces before you commit. Love it! The portion size is pretty small especially considering the price but ig it's Miami and it's a good location, next to the beach P R I C E 18.35+ tip = 23

Olivia C.

Yelp
Honestly, I just can't justify paying $20 for poke and $18 for an acai bowl. The poke was pretty good and quite fresh (would definitely recommend this instead of the acai bowls). The acai bowls, however, were not fully blended so there were chunks of frozen acai in the smoothie and the blueberry toppings were frozen! So disappointing, especially considering the price point

Kadeesha L.

Yelp
Some of the best poke! Fresh! Great toppings and nice and attentive service. My poke bowl was soo delicious. Although it did come out to be a bit more money than I expected, it was worth it! They also make acacia bowl& smoothies. The bowls are filling! However the sushi burrito looked pretty hearty too. They also had every kind of topping I'd want- black & green seaweed salad, chives, crispy onions, the list goes on. Definitely check it out.

Andres G.

Yelp
The burrito's seaweed wrap is soft and chewy (should be crisp and crunchy). And the açaí bowls are not so good.....açaí is runny / half melted and peanut butter is clumpy. I wouldn't return.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Excellent, fresh, great value poke bowls. I recently discovered how much I love poke bowls and Koa did not disappoint me at all. Ample seating outside and inside. Very friendly service that was patient as we created our own bowls! The value is amazing. You can pick basically as many fixings as you like with TWO proteins! So many options for toppings, all very fresh to make your perfect bowl (loved the plantain chip topping!) Definitely returning on my next trip to Miami

Jewell C.

Yelp
I randomly stopped by this place while exploring Miami and it was so good! I must say customer service was not the best, the employees are so monotone but the food was good and that's what matters. It was a huge bowl and everything seemed very fresh. I highly recommend to anyone who likes really good fresh poke.

Kristina S.

Yelp
Excellent poke burritos! Take your pick of toppings and sauces to make it just perfect for your taste buds. Staff is super friendly too. And they sell Kamsa probiotic water, which is super hard to find where I live. There is both indoor and outdoor seating so take your pick. I really liked this place!

Jordan B.

Yelp
Not worth $20+ Not only is the food portion so small but the staff are not friendly and act all stuck up.

Diana C.

Yelp
Loved the staff, they were very friendly & fun! Was in and out with my delicious sushi burrito in 5 min! There's also a nice outdoor patio seating area Would definitely return when I visit Miami again!

Jacqueline E.

Yelp
Pretty cool place. I just got into Miami Beach. It is pouring rain, thunder and lightning. This is the only place l can go to that l dont have to swim to. It was coming down like that. Sushi was NOT on the radar at all. But after long and careful thought, l ordered a shrimp tempora roll and Salmon roll. It was the best Sushi l have ever had. Nice, very nice with a little Wasabi and soy sauce, it was delicious.. My lips were poked out when it seemed like none of my food choices were going to work. But this Buttercup sucked it up and she smiled and blossomed after the universe fed her and she had a sip of Stella. All was well in her world.

Jazmin V.

Yelp
Fantastic Acai Bowl! fresh whole berries, choco chips, coconut flakes! An absolute delight!! My boyfriend usually hates Acai and he enjoyed it. we faught over it. We also ordered a poke bowl. it was extremely fresh and delicious. I must add the manager and the girl serving us were so so so sweet. over all an excellent place to grab a bite.

Jael's L.

Yelp
Small portions, overpriced, not friendly staff or manager. Find yourself something else.

Jane A.

Yelp
I have been going regularly to Koa Poke since it opened and the food is very tasty and fresh . Last night we got there at 7:30 . I ordered the poke bowl which is the most expensive poke bowl anywhere $25! The serving size was half of they normally put . I kept asking for a bit more and she literally picked up a crumb each time!! And we got rushed out of there . Never had such bad service! Very disappointing!!

Ron B.

Yelp
If you are a foodie and want to enjoy a gourmet level poke bowl then go to KOA across the street from Loew's Hotel in South Beach. I had the Spice Tuna which was incredibly fresh and spiced to my liking. The eggplant was roasted and smoked, cut up, mixed with sesame seeds, miso sauce and sweet chili garlic oil. The cucumbers are marinated with a slightly sweet vinegar that blends with the spicy tuna perfectly. The miso soup comes with a refreshing hint of onion greens and maybe a lit roasted garlic for the summer. The seating out side is very nice.

Adele M.

Yelp
We were really im the mood for something fresh and this place was perfect. I highly recommend getting a bowl with an extra scoop of rice in a separate bowl and an extra scoop of protein and sharing with someone. Also, go crazy with the toppings. I loved their wakame salad. The tuna was some of the best tuna I've had in a while

Sarah F.

Yelp
We did take out since we were very sweaty after a long run. The staff was very welcoming even though we didn't match the local attire and the service was amazing! My boyfriend ordered spicy salmon/tuna bowl and the team catered the spicy-ness to his taste! I truly mean catered, as i ask him how much chili sauce and other spicy condiments. I love the portion size, it was very filling and the prices is affordable as you can get for the tourist attraction location. Next time I visit, I'll make sure to try their açaí bowls!

Rachel M.

Yelp
The poke bowl was soooo good. Very fresh and flavorful. We got mango in our bowls which was a surprisingly good addition. This was great to bring back to the beach!

David S.

Yelp
Surprisingly good despite the staff being pretty clueless. On the expensive side but fresh and filling.

Jenna G.

Yelp
Walked by this place on Christmas and decided to give it a try. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, food and, service. Best poke I've had so far in Florida.

Rania N.

Yelp
I've tried dozens and dozens of poke spots and wanted to believe the $21 for a poke bowl here would be some magical experience. Nope. Average size bowl, tasted no different from the dozens of poke spots I've tried in CA. This is the most expensive poke bowl I've tried and I can only report that it was average. Pros: The interior is very clean. The girl that took my order was very nice. Plenty of seating.

Nina L.

Yelp
Look no further. This should be your poke stop. The staff was helpful, the place was clean and the food was fresh. Tonight, we tried the poke - we all built our own, with the help of the staff. I had the spicy salmon, my husband and daughter had the salmon and crabmeat - and you can add as much sides (mango, edamame, seaweed salad, etc.) For the area, the price wasn't bad at all! Highly satisfied!

Ana N.

Yelp
We had a blast here! Food: Amazing poke: some many toppings choices, large portions, fresh ingredients. And mind blowing acai bowl Supreme Leader. Staff: Super friendly, welcoming staff, they made us feel so comfortable and cozy Location: Clean, organized. We also were quite lucky to be the only ones there then

Eni A.

Yelp
So worth the $18 for a poke bowl, we went twice during our three day visit to Miami. The quality was amazing, every morsel was fresh and delicious. I wish we had poke this good in Houston!

Cbl B.

Yelp
I ordered their salmon and shrimp tempura sushi today. Loved loved naturally! Sushi is fresh and so delicious. This place can definitely heat NY Sushi bars! I am coming back for me.

Alexis S.

Yelp
The food was great and they had a variety of toppings and sauces to choose from. This was hands-down the best poke that I've ever had so far. It was a bit pricey but they gave a good portion of fish, unlike most poke places, so it was worth it in that sense.

James G.

Yelp
We wanted poke and Koa was top rated in South Beach. It looked like a good place and I liked the burrito or poke but poke is better. We went for lunch and were a little taken back by the price for the poke or burrito at $20. Yea, it was fresh and good but the value really is not there. I have good poke in Chicago and LA but they weren't as expensive. Overall, it was good and fresh, but for a counter service take out place, the value was not there. On the plus side, they has sushi and free WiFi.

Jessica M.

Yelp
A Nice little fresh lunch. I ordered the salmon poke bowl with half cauliflower rice and half sushi rice. The salmon is really fresh and tasty! I'm very picky with my sushi but I was delighted with this little fast sushi fix. I also stopped right next door to joe and the juice so convenient!

Larissa K.

Yelp
Great vibe, fun toppings and very fresh fish! Being somewhat of a poki connoisseur, I rate this place on top! Worth every bite!

Michele R.

Yelp
Amazing poke bowl! I love the fact that they had novel toppings like marinated mushrooms and banana chips, and they even had the option to do lobster as your protein! Definitely going again before my trip is over.

Kat M.

Yelp
Very clean! Fresh food! Delicious poke! Spicy salmon roll has a lot of fish!!! Excellent service!!! Thank you so much!!! Will definitely come back again!!!

Felicia K.

Yelp
Omg! You have not eaten delicious Poke and Açaí bowls until you come to this gem restaurant. I live in NYC and have never tasted anything like this. The food is soooo fresh and they have amazing ingredients to make your bowl custom made. I'm staying across the street at the Loews and have been here every morning for an açaí bowl and a few times in the evening for a poke bowl. Sebastian and Max, the owners, welcome me and my dog Prince as if we are family. I'll be sad to go back to nyc. Thank you, thank you.

Elisa B.

Yelp
Good food in a nice place. I loved every plate but the best was the sushi burrito that is not cheap but great!
