I recently visited KODE, a new pizza shop in Bellevue Square South Tower, and overall, it was a great experience! My friend had the cheese pizza, and she described it as “delicious, not American lol, with a good crust." Another friend tried the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed the dough, saying it tasted fresh and the flavor was on point. I had the spicy pork pizza, which was flavorful, and the pork was cooked perfectly. They also served a mysterious green sauce with it that surprisingly wasn’t bad at all! It’s worth mentioning that KODE gives free sauce with their pizzas, which is a nice touch compared to places like Little Caesar’s. Prices are reasonable, with slices priced between $4-$5 and whole pizzas ranging from $15-$20. It’s definitely filling and worth the money. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Google
pretty good pizza!! tasted hot and fresh and a little spicy in flavor!! the staff who work here are okay and could’ve been better, but there was one guy behind the counter who had phenomenal customer service skills, so shout out to that guy!! we got our pizza pretty fast and there were multiple seating areas we could choose from. what I really liked about this new restaurant is the fact that you are able to get pizza BY THE SLICE, which is rare to see in the city. two slices are about $11 with tax & fees of course so, pretty decent especially if you consider the quality of the food. all the pizzas come with a free side of marinara sauce, as well!! i do wish however they would add more side dishes/foods and different kinds of drinks to add to our meal, though. overall, if im in the area again, I would def come back and eat here again because of that guy and the delicious pizza!!

Google
Kode Pizza is a hidden gem inside the Lincoln Square South (level 2). Blending Detroit Style pizza with Korean inspired flavors it’s a MUST visit that won’t break the bank. The pizza comes out quick which is a nice change of pace compared to traditional Detroit Style. The flavor combos are captivating and delicious. I love that you can get a box with different squares so you can try one of each if you’re feeling adventurous. The spicy dipping sauce is awesome if you like a little heat with your pie. As for drinks, the Club Seltzer’s are out of this world, they are also a non-profit! Run, don’t walk, to get some Kode Pizza ASAP!

Google
I ordered by the slice due to time constraints to make a movie upstairs. Being located in the food court, I could see wait times becoming an issue during the lunch hour. There were backups at 8pm on a Thursday with a few people waiting for their orders due to how long it takes to get a full pizza cooked and pushed out. My slice was tasty. The Detroit style was on point, thick and crispy. The cost ($5.50) for DT Bellevue isn’t bad. I do wish they had kept the pizza under a heat lamp or low grade oven to keep it warm. It was lukewarm by the time I got to it.

Google
It's great to have another detroit style pizza option, especially on the eastside. The crust is not quite as fluffy and light and the toppoings aren't quite as good as Kobo, Moto or My Friend Derek's, but it's closer to home and easier to get so an extra star for that. My favorite flavors were the corn cheese and the bulgogi. The warm marinara is really nice to dip the pizza in.

Tim

Google
Marinara was put on our pizza without asking. When we took it back we were told it was a normal thing and that we we were supposed to specifically ask for it without the sauce on top? Edit 12/24/24: was reached out to about getting a refund, emailed the email they gave, never heard anything back. Edit 12/27/24: I eventually got an email back with a gift card as well. Raised rating as other places never get back to you about these things…

Google
Great pizza, premade and heated up. Service was TERRIBLE. Forgot our order, did not say sorry after they did for 20 minutes, then I proceeded to remind them of my order and the guy replied with “ okay “ Terrible and needs training with customer service and non-verbal gestures. Gal was nice enough to apologize and greet us with customer service after the mess-up, but first impression just matters a lot and even offered a pizza to make up for it.

Iris Peng

Google
i got one slice for $6. they have the slices premade and then reheat it. solid flavors for the bulgogi kimchi but the bread is more soggy than i’d like. the cheese could also be more sharp. the pizza came with a side of marinara which was delicious. it makes for a filling snack. is $6 worth it? yes for the heftiness, but if it was a thin crust then definitely not.

Yelp
firstly- great location for a bite while visiting the offices upstairs. I've been in and out of this building a few times but only recently stopped by for a slice of their pepperoni pizza. Took a minute to get it, but that makes sense with how many people were getting food. The design and environment is clean and inviting. Even with all the buzz in the area you don't feel rushed. I am happy to report the slice was better than most detroit style slices i've had. I'm more of an nyc style guy, but was happy to make an exception for this and will come back to try the other selections. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I didn't have much expectations of this place but they were pretty good. I ordered the bulgogi cheese slice and for 6.50, the portion was really good. The overall flavor was good but each flavor was its own corner so you can't really get a comprehensive bite. I think the dough is too wet for the most part but the overall pizza was good. Service was standard. I would definitely come back to try their other pizza

Tony ..

Yelp
I live in the area so I've attempted to come back on 4 different occasions to see if I can get a slice of the corn cheese pizza. Every time they've either been sold out or request me to buy a full sized pizza. Their other slices were fairly decent though, I'll have to return to try the corn cheese one.

James L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing pizza, the crust is a bit chewy but I think that is Detroit style. The kimchi bulgogi maybe phasing out, got eat if you can!

Abby Y.

Yelp
Stopped by on a weekday to try Kode Pizza and it wasn't too busy. It's tucked away in a little food court area with seating around. Service was just okay. It's hard to gauge because you order via tablets and they just hand you your order so there isn't much interaction. The pizza flavors seem interesting and tasty but not all the flavors were available when I visited. The Pepperoni pizza was sold out and some other flavors like Corn Cheese were unavailable. There aren't that many flavors to begin with so I found this to be disappointing. If they do rotate flavors, I couldn't find any schedule of what's offered on each day. The pizzas were good but I'm not sure if it was worth the price paid. Spicy Pork tastes better than the Kimchi Bulgogi in my opinion. The Spicy Pork wasn't too spicy and it was savory but lighter than the Kimchi Bulgogi. The Kimchi Bulgogi pizza tasted bland and was messy to eat. Maybe I came on an off day but the bottoms of the pizza were also burnt. I might have to come back and give them another shot on a better day!

Megan G.

Yelp
Great flavors and a nice twist on traditional pizza. It was little doughy for my liking. They have a self serve bar for jalapeños and pickled onions.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Located in the Lincoln Square South 2nd floor food court area. I've walked by this place since it opened and finally got the chance to try it out. I have to say... it was just okay. The menu sounds amazing but I think they may have just had an off day on execution? You can order individual slices or a whole pizza that includes 4 slices. Of course the better deal is to order the whole pizza which is individual sized. Since its somewhat thick crust, it does fill you up though. First miss was they didn't have the bulgogi kimchi pizza that sounded amazing. The worker there said that they just didn't prep the materials. Well okay, I guess I'll have to try that another time. Second miss was their crust. I could tell that it should be crispy and felt like it should be amazing, but it ended up just hard. It wasn't piping hot either which makes me think it was just sitting there for a while and they popped it in the oven to heat it up which likely added to the hard chewy crust. The win was their sauce. Wow! I could literally drink that stuff! My 1 slice came with 2 containers and I was dipping, drizzling, and yes, drinking that sauce. It's a tomato based sauce but has a slight kick to it which was added amazing flavor to everything. More of that please! The only pizza options I had was Spicy pork, pepperoni, and cheese. So I opted for the spicy pork. It was just okay. Pork wasn't very spicy and there were some inedible bits. It looked fantastic and the flavors seemed to gel well, but I didn't really get much spicy pork flavor. I feel like it could've been any meat really. Maybe 'spicy meat' would have been a better name. Overall, I feel like this is an awesome concept and that if made fresh, would have been the difference maker. I'll likely come back to try their bulgogi kim chi flavor. Maybe I'll opt for the full pizza so its not a stale heated up slice.

Julia Z.

Yelp
Pretty tasty spot, I really enjoyed the flavors, but I hope they get to a place where we can do a full choice box! When I went we could only have cheese, pepperoni, or bulgogi as single slices, and I really wanted to try the random flavors more. I found these pizzas kind of more doughy than I expected. I've had Detroit where that wasn't the case, so I don't think it's supposed to be that way, but the very middle was a little under baked. I might get another slice of the corn to try it, but I don't know that I would eat this place regularly given the bake. :/ The people working were really friendly though! And the marinara and Sriracha ranch were both very tasty.

Arielle Glenn F.

Yelp
Tried the Bulgogi Kimchi pizza slice and it was amazing!! The crust was very tasteful and crunchy, and the flavor of the pizza itself was very savory and tasty. Food service was quick and pizzas came in a perfect slice serving size for one. The price point is not bad at all. I wish they had more flavors, but I will be coming back for the Bulgogi Kimchi very soon. :)

Yelp
I'm so glad the Lincoln Square Food Hall is making a comeback post-COVID and has some new eateries to check out, including KODE Pizza. KODE Pizza is a Korean-fusion, Detroit-style pizza that's pretty tasty and is worth checking out if you're around Lincoln Square. We visited KODE Pizza on a Friday night and the place was busy as it was one of the more popular places to eat at. You can see the staff making the pizza in the open kitchen and oven. At the counter, you can order and pay on the touchscreen. Since they have a variety of flavors, there is an option to mix and match, which is what I did and recommend if you want to try different kinds. For my mix and match, I ordered the bulgogi beef, the pepperoni, the supreme and the spicy pork. The food took about 15 minutes to get, and the pizza includes two sides of tomato sauce to top or dip your pizza in. Of the four I chose, I liked the spicy pork one the best. The pork was tender and had the sweet and spicy flavor that is just like what you'd get at a Korean spot. I liked the pepperoni one the least as the pepperoni was overcooked, so had more of a jerky texture and was hard to eat. The Korean corn cheese one was sold out when I visited, but heard it's worth trying if you see it! Overall, KODE Pizza is a solid spot for Detroit-style pizza with Korean toppings. I like that you can mix the different flavors if you get a whole pizza. But a whole pizza is one you'll want to share as it's hefty. It made for great leftovers as one pizza slice was a big portion. Glad to have checked it out.

Christy K.

Yelp
I was skeptical when I first heard about combining Korean and Detroit-style pizza, but KODE (KOrean + DEtroit) nails it! The crust has all the classic Detroit-style qualities: thick, airy, and with perfectly crispy edges. My favorites were the Bulgogi & Kimchi Pizza and the Spicy Pork (Daeji Bulgogi). The bulgogi was perfectly seasoned, and the kimchi--some of the best I've had, and I'm Korean!--was ideally fermented, not too raw or too aged. Each topping tasted authentic, making this fusion thoughtful and absolutely delicious.

Mei Jie W.

Yelp
I ordered the build-your-own box to share with another person. It came out to be around $22 which is really reasonable. We wanted to try the sides but didn't see an option for them when ordering on the iPad so not sure if they ran out already that day. We were both full by the end. There were tons of seating since it's located in the dining hall of Lincoln square. Very convenient to the mall. My favorite was the bulgogi and kimchi. The bulgogi was tender and not too sweet. I was surprised how many pieces of pepperoni there were for the pepperoni slice. It was crispy, like a chip but it kept falling off. I don't usually like thick crust pizza, but this Detroit-style was really good! Not too heavy or too thick. The bottom crust still had a crunch to it. It also came with two small cups of warmed up marinara sauce.

Rosette T.

Yelp
My mom and I saw a sign at Bellevue Square for Kode Pizza and was thought we'd try it out for lunch on Saturday. It's located in Lincoln Hall right across the mall on the second floor. They have a small menu but it's nice that they offer familiar flavors such as cheese, pepperoni, and supreme while also offering Korean inspired flavors such as corn cheese and bulgogi kimchi. We got two slices and it came out to around $15 with tax and tip which is pretty reasonable imo. The pizza came out fairly quick and was good but salty. The bulgogi kimchi was my favorite as the sweetness from the meat balanced out the saltiness a bit better but the supreme was a salt overload especially around the crust area. Maybe we just got a bad piece? Hopefully they expand their menu when they officially open. It's great to see more food options Lincoln Hall.

Kevin N.

Yelp
I was very excited to see what the new options were going to be with the expansion of the food hall in Lincoln Square, so when I saw a Korean Detroit pizza spot as one of the new occupants, I had to stop by. I stopped by around 11:30 am on a Sunday during their soft opening. I ordered two slices, which were plenty for a meal for one person. I used their self-ordering kiosk to order a Supreme slice and a Kimchi Bulgogi slice. The square slices are sitting out for you to see the toppings on each, and then once you order, they heat them up in their oven for you, which takes less than 5 minutes. I first tried their Supreme, which had a great mix of sausage, red onion, peppers, olives, and mushrooms. The sausage is very well seasoned, and has great texture due to it not being overcooked. And I actually was pleasantly surprised about how prevalent the red onion's flavor came through. The Kimchi Bulgogi was next, and I was glad that they didn't skimp on the bulgogi itself, which was extremely tender. The flavor is that of a very standard bulgogi, and then you add in the slight spicy, acidic hit from the kimchi, and it results in a great pizza. I wish the bulgogi and kimchi were more evenly dispersed, as I had a lot of bulgogi on one part of my slice, then kimchi on the other part. Both slices came with a side of their marinara, which was a pleasant acidic sweet sauce to complement the heaviness of the pizza itself. Pricing is actually pretty reasonable. It was $5.50 per slice, and you can easily feed yourself with two slices, which gives you a pretty cheap meal compared to other options in the area. Being in Lincoln Square's food hall, there's ample parking options, including at Lincoln Square itself or the mall parking lot and garage across Bellevue Way. There's tons of seating as well, so it's great if you need a quick, easy, and affordable bite by yourself or with a group. I look forward to their grand opening and what other flavor combinations will be offered!

Jay K.

Yelp
Pretty creative and tasty. Pizza was hot & flavorful and would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for Detroit - style pizza remixed with Korean ingredients. Service was ordered through a kiosk, and self pickup. Not much interaction with staff. Pretty typical food court setting.

Gen V.

Yelp
Overall, I give my visit a 3 star rating. Workers seemed nice. I liked the spicy pork pizza but otherwise, thought the food was just ok. The dough felt dense and a bit too heavy.

Stefanie T.

Yelp
The pizzas at Kode Pizza place are delicious. They have unique flavors and the prices are very reasonable, especially for Bellevue. If you want to try something delicious this is the place to go. You might need more than one slice to get full. It's located in the food court. Remember to get your parking validated.

Iris P.

Yelp
i got one slice for $6. they have the slices premade and then reheat it. solid flavors for the bulgogi kimchi but the bread is more soggy than i'd like. the cheese could also be more sharp. the pizza came with a side of marinara which was delicious. it makes for a filling snack. is $6 worth it? yes for the heftiness, but if it was a thin crust then definitely not.

Yelp
We came up from Portland and were so excited to try the corn cheese pizza! Unfortunately, they were out of it on a Friday afternoon around 4 pm. You order from an iPad inside the mall. So we got the spicy pork and bulgogi kimchi. See the bulgogi photo. There's literally two pieces of bulgogi and kimchi. While the beef tasted okay, the crust was burnt. It felt like they burned bread and laid the pork and beef on top haphazardly. Really disappointing because I love both Detroit style and Korean flavours!

Joan S.

Yelp
I hope the owner or owners read this : Because of all the pizza places I have eaten this was HORRIBLE HARD CARDBOARD and I got ripped off to say the least - we could not slice it. Chew it, digest it, ugh! I rarely give reviews this bad- but just go somewhere else to eat !!!! Joan

Jennie K.

Yelp
Well, I came back sooner than expected since they opened for their soft opening last week. I really wanted to try their spicy pork pizza and that's what drew me back sooner. The food hall was busier than the last time I was there, and there was a line for Kode as well. I waited about 13 minutes for my two slices of pizza: corn cheese (which I liked so much that I got it again) and spicy pork. This time, I also added a side order of gochujang sauce. With the busier environment, it was louder and somewhat hard to hear when your name was called, so it's best to stay nearby. It would be nice if they also assigned a number to the order, as I feel that numbers are more unique and easier to hear than names. Once my name was called for my order, I picked it up and opened my to-go box (which was in one of the flimsy wax lined boxes rather than sturdier pizza boxes) to check content. The pizzas were indented by the marinara sauce cups and seemed a little more burnt around the crust than last time. I noticed there were two sauce cups instead of three (even though I ordered the extra gochujang sauce). I asked one of the staff at the ordering kiosk about the extra gochujang sauce, and he asked the person who put the orders together. That person said the order normally comes with one sauce but gave me two. However, he never clarified if one of them was the gochujang sauce (which costs $2 a cup). Last time, I got a marinara sauce cup for each slice when I ordered two slices, so I'm not sure how he gave me extra if I ordered an extra cup of sauce for an additional charge. Unless, they only give out one sauce cup per order? I was already running over my lunch break due to the longer wait time, so I didn't want to pursue it further and left with my order. In terms of the taste of the pizza, the spicy pork was good, but unfortunately, the crust was a bit charred for my liking, leaving a slight burnt taste that detracted from the flavor of the spicy pork. It will probably be a while before I come back for more. Hopefully, after their soft opening and a few more rounds of high customer volumes, they'll be able to handle it more smoothly in the future. And hopefully, they'll also have new toppings or side items. I was hoping to give a higher rating, but the experience from this visit didn't seem to meet my expectations. **TL;DR:** I visited Kode's in the food hall after their soft opening and found it busier than before. I waited 13 minutes for two slices of pizza--corn cheese and spicy pork--and added extra gochujang sauce. The pizzas were slightly burnt and poorly packed, and I received fewer sauce cups than expected. While the spicy pork tasted good, the charred crust affected its flavor. I'll likely wait a while before returning, hoping they improve service and offer new toppings.

Larry V.

Yelp
I recently tried this restaurant in the Lincoln Square Food Hall, and it's quickly become my go-to. The pizza was crispy and cheesy without being greasy which is hard to do for Detroit-Style. Really impressed with the mix of flavors and quality of ingredients used, especially the meat. I was able to try to a couple of their dipping sauces which added great flavor. The spicy pork pizza was my personal favorite. I have never had marinated meat like that on a pizza before, so much flavor and the fresh green onions added a refreshing to balance. The price is really affordable for the amount of food you get. I felt full and satisfied without slipping into a food coma, which is always a win. The combination of Korean flavors and pizza is a fantastic concept, and I can't wait to try their other slices!

Charles K.

Yelp
Love seeing this new concept open in Bellevue -- Detroit Style Pizza with Korean inspired flavors. Each pizza comes with a dedicated sauce from Marinara or a Spicy Gochujang marinara. Full pies are fired upon order or you can get slices heated up in the stone oven. Also, the team is working on a bunch of new dipping sauces, can't wait. My favorite is the Spicy Pork pizza. Love the airy white ambiance, plenty of seating.

Faith H.

Yelp
Tried the combo box - flavor was okay, edges were burnt and the pizza was hard. Ended up getting something else from the food court.

Aaron W.

Yelp
I enjoyed trying the different kinds of pizza, the crust was hard as a brick. It was clear to me that the pizza had set out for a long time and they simply reheated it before serving it to me. It was a good place to try once, but I don't see myself returning.

Bo P.

Yelp
I love pizza. Mostly any pizza. But this is just not good. I was with a party of 4 and we unanimously agreed. It's too dense, overly cheesy, flavors are subpar, ingredients aren't the best. One of the slices were undercooked too. I would, unfortunately, never visit again.

Mimi W.

Yelp
I got a slice of pepperoni pizza today, I didn't appreciate the guy talking over my pizza. It seemed like he did it intentionally. I honestly didn't eat it, I threw in the garbage.. another thing they stopped giving the side tomatoes sauce for the slice of pizza.

Darek M.

Yelp
Great food great service. A delightful time all around. Highly recommended.. especially on the east side.

David W.

Yelp
Decent pizza, with a couple Korean flavors. just a tad too salty for my taste. I ordered a slice of the kimchi bulgogi and a slice of the spicy pork, which weren't bad. I wanted to try the corn pizza but that's only sold as a whole pie, no slices. Horrible service as they don't have napkins and aren't very welcoming. Did I say they don't have napkins? A pizza joint that doesn't provide napkins is wild.

Susie D.

Yelp
The phone was out of power, so they didn't take photos, but their pizza was really not delicious, the side was burnt, and there was a very bitter taste.

Grace L.

Yelp
Got every single slice except corn (they were out). First off: SALTY. EVERYTHING WAS SALTY. OVERLY SALTY, DISTRACTINGLY SALTY. SO SALTY IM STILL THIRSTY 2 HOURS LATER. Bulgogi: first bite was great, and it went downhill after the salt slapped you in the face. Meat was tender and kimchee was surprisingly good! They should swap out the cheese (which is overly salty (I cannot emphasize this enough). Spicy pork: sweet meat and again, the meat was tender. Pepperoni: they use the cupped kind of pepperoni! Cheese: salty. Supreme: wasn't bad but not my cup of tea. Seems like the ingredients they use and source are pretty good. I think they tried really hard with the type of cheese they used and overdid it. So unfortunate bc the location is so convenient. Service was slow but understandable since it's a soft open. Plenty of places to find seating. If you like salt, come to this place... or maybe this is why they're connected to the seltzer joint, to get more folks to drink something? One would say I feel salty about this establishment. Random but their pizza boxes don't close properly. The top part pops open and doesn't stay shut.

Huang W.

Yelp
We ordered 4 different slice and they are all pretty good! Bulgogi and kimchi is my favorite.

Jesse V.

Yelp
We tried the Bulgogi Kimchi Pizza. Was pleasantly surprised, flavor was amazing and good service. We'll definitely come again and try the others!

Griffin S.

Yelp
Great flavors and solid Detroit-style in Bellevue. I recommend as Bellevue has quite few pizza options and those that are available are otherwise basic.

Pizza Lover A.

Yelp
Wait time is terrible. Literally takes half an hour to make a tiny slice of pizza. They have 2 people working there, probably need like 10 of them to be as fast as any other place, or improve their efficiency by an order of magnitude. The place doesn't even look busy. I imagine what it's like to get lunch there - it will be ready by your dinner time guaranteed!

Sebastian H.

Yelp
I'm not usually one to write Yelp reviews, but my experience at KODE has truly been exceptional, and I felt compelled to share it! From the moment I walk into this bustling Bellevue food court gem, I'm greeted with warmth and smiles from the friendly staff, even during their busiest hours. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers. I've tried the Spicy Chicken, Cheese, and Pepperoni, and each one has been a delightful treat that never disappoints. KODE has quickly become my go-to spot as an employee in the Bellevue area, and I find myself looking forward to my visits. If you're in the neighborhood looking for pizza this is the place to be!

Matt B.

Yelp
The fusion of Korean flavors and pizza at Kods is an absolute must-try! If you're into bold, creative eats, this spot delivers in the most delicious way. And can we talk about those floating pizza boxes? Such a cool touch--they totally drew me in! As someone who loves the little details, this place had me hyped before I even took my first bite. The pizza didn't disappoint--it's fun, flavorful, and full of flair!

Tim Y.

Yelp
This is fire. I've been waiting for a place like this in Bellevue for years. I love the staff they work their tails off and make sure customers are taken care of. I'm going on my second day working my way through the menu. If you have a taste for a good original slice of pizza at a good price you can't miss this place. Loving it to

Nicholas D.

Yelp
Loved the pizza here and can't wait to come back! I'm a big lover of Korean food and seeing it in pizza form is so cool! Great experience and overall vibe as well.

Jason V.

Yelp
waited over 45 minutes for 3 slices of pizza! cow. talk about a wait.... slow ... very slow. to the point where I may ditch the pizza
