"The ground floor of this restaurant is home to a café and an opulent delicatessen offering a huge selection of hams that are cured and seasoned on site – the theme continues on the first floor, where guests pass a display of hams on their way to the dining room. It soon becomes obvious that this bistro-style restaurant with a covered terrace is dedicated to local specialities such as seasoned hams, pork chops and delicious pork scratchings. The seasonal dishes include delicious brawn served with pumpkin oil and seeds, smoked prosciutto with fresh horseradish, and calf’s liver with polenta. One of Our All-Time Favourites in Slovenia! Kodila is truly a gem, we make a point to stop here every time we’re travelling through the area, and it never disappoints. From the very first visit, we’ve been lucky to have the same wonderful waitress, Tadeya, whose warm smile and genuine kindness always brightens our day. Her excellent recommendations and amazing service elevate the whole experience. The food? Absolutely next level. Everything is incredibly fresh, well seasoned and filled with flavour. The tartare and steak are a must try .. Kodila consistently delivers both in quality and atmosphere, and it’s become a special part of our travels especially cause of Tadeya✨✨ Highly recommend to anyone passing through!

The food was amazing, the staff is amazing and the atmosphere and location also amazing. Many things you eat in the restaurant, you can buy them also in the store under it, where they sell only local products from nearby farms and farmers. Also a fine selection for vegetarians, but a must go for meat lovers, they really know how to cook and prepare meat. A nice selection of wine and natural nectars also available

Excellent! These people know how to treat a good piece of meat. Whether cured pork or dry aged beef. Everything is amazing and they also serve very good wines to accompany the dish. We went here twice! And that says a lot. We never go somewhere twice when on our holiday, but this place really deserved it. We went a bit earlier the second time around to have a look at the shop and buy some goodies to enjoy at home. The staff is very friendly and very proud of their products. Keep it up!

Great place to enjoy a fantastic dinner! A spectacular display of ham welcomes the guests!! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.... Great quality of steaks as well as all kinds of pork bacon as starters. Do not forget your passport when crossing over from Austria!!

I am really thankful to my Host family. Take me on this beautiful place. I really enjoy real traditionally Slovenian food. I don’t know the name of dishes, but it 3 course meal because this week they are not serving à la cart only they have meal veg or non-veg. It’s very tasty food very hygienic and at most super staff is very friendly. Maybe location is out of the way, but it’s very famous in local people if you are going on this way I definitely recommended this beautiful restaurant, once you can try the real traditionally food, please notice they serve only eat, then you can try the vegetarian food
