Absolute love for this island! Almost no cars (apart from the local taxis) and you need a motorbike to explore this beautiful island. Great beaches, good food and coffee. Amazing sunsets on the beach sipping your cocktail. I could spend here days on end!

Koh Kood, the fourth-largest island in Thailand, is a stunning gem that embodies the essence of a tropical paradise. With its breathtakingly beautiful beaches, powdery white sand, and crystal-clear waters, this island is a must-visit destination for any traveler seeking relaxation and tranquility. One of the standout features of Koh Kood is its ease of exploration. Renting a motorcycle is a breeze, and cruising around the island is a joy, thanks to the minimal traffic and well-maintained roads. This freedom to explore allows visitors to discover the island's hidden coves, secluded beaches, and lush forests. As a seasoned visitor, having returned to Koh Kood for the fifth time, it's clear that this island has a special charm that keeps drawing you back. The island's laid-back atmosphere, friendly locals, and delicious seafood only add to its allure. Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or simply a chance to unwind, Koh Kood has something for everyone. Its natural beauty, ease of exploration, and warm hospitality make it a tropical paradise that will leave you enchanted and eager to return. *Recommendation:* Rent a motorcycle and explore the island's hidden gems. Don't miss the stunning beaches, waterfalls, and scenic viewpoints. Return to Koh Kood, and you'll understand why it's a tropical paradise that keeps calling you back!

What truly stood out was the rare Island and sandy beach - stunning views, crystal clear and safe (flat, unlike some Andaman beaches) for swimming and water sports.

What can we say about the island "Koh Kood" and well it's simple: it's a big scam I will give you irrefutable arguments 1) Hotel way too expensive compared to the quality (I compare with Phuket, krabi, koh Chang, Koh Lipee and the places I've been visiting for 25 years) 2) It's a garbage island whether in hotels or worse outside 3) Excursions are 1 in 2 chance of being ripped off (for the same price you have a van that drops you off directly at a boat with a canoe or a paddle with a good meal or a van that goes around several hotels so, waste of time on your excursions, a punnet of rice with 40Gr of meat, a fishing trip and a snorkeling proposal at the mouth of the port with disgusting water 4) Prices explode for everything with the excuse "it's an island" while on much more remote islands (example said above) like a tiny portion of fries at 120Bath 5) In short, the worst thing is that you are sold this island as a paradise with few people and of course it's exactly the opposite. Tourist tomes with as many Thais and their Cambodian slaves (I speak Thai and I have notions of Khmer). The only positive point is the few beaches of some hotels that are clean and pretty (Andaman remains more beautiful if you avoid tourist traps) I'm not going to stay here again anytime soon and wish you the best possible experience on the trash island

This is one of the best place for vacation, all the beaches are clear with soft sand. Food prices are normal. Quiet and romantic.

Probably it depends on the time you go. Wasn't impressed, nothing different from other islands around Thailand. This one was far not the best. The beach is OK, not many attractions to visit, just 2 waterfalls. Would not come here again. Too far, not worth the time

Amazing island however beware prices are extortionate for what’s available. Not a single cheap restaurant in most of the bigger areas (so I’d recommend getting a motorbike). Hotels here are also WAY too expensive for what they are, I’d recommend other areas of Thailand… Most restaurants want 120+ for any simple curry or rice dish. Cheap food or accommodation just isn’t available here…

This island is wild! 4 stars because I came in August and most of the restaurants were closed cause of low season finding it a bit hard to find a place to eat especially if you follow google opening/closing times, I recommend to just drive and stop in an open place hopefully it has everything on the menu. Not much going on if you’re looking for activities, besides snorkelling and diving. But! the beaches are beautiful…white sand clear water. The waterfalls are stunning! It’s rainy season so lots of fresh and clean water with swimming holes. Be extra careful with sandflies, always use insect repellent.
