We stayed for one week in a Superior Villa, 2nd row, but very close to the beach. The staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful. They come to the room in the early evening to prepare the mosquito net. Be careful in the bath, because the floor is slippery. |The place is very quiet due to the fact that the villas do not stand very close to each other. If you need to go to the pool, restaurant etc. and do not want to walk, you can ask for a golf cart to pick you up. They have 2 pools, the one near the reception is the better one.

This is really great 2 nights stay on Koh Mook, the services from all staffs are beyond my expectation, they show genuine friendliness and willingness to serve. We enjoy having conversation with everyone. The room (deluxe double) is nicely decorated and shower is clearly separated from toilet.Location is good as it is within walking distance to village, restaurants, shops and everything.Breakfast is also good,a combination of both local and western varieties. The dining area is set on the cape with both indoor and outdoor area, so though not tried but believe the atmosphere in the evening must be great. Perfect spot for morning photos too.We will surly consider staying here again next time we visit Koh Mook

The place is magnificent, two excellent strips of fine sand. The resort is not; It is a long stretch of bungalows that they euphemistically call "villas", of which, passing through the main central path, you can only see the back with air conditioning and drains. The gardens are kept to a minimum. The bungalows are made of wood without charm, the walls are 4 cm and the wooden roof without insulation, forcing you to stay with the air conditioning on because, as soon as you turn it off, the room heats up in an instant. The "wardrobe" is made up of a one-meter long rod with a small chest of drawers. In practice you are always moving full suitcases. To say the bathroom is basic is an understatement. The bungalows overlooking the sea have their own sun loungers on the outside patio and in a good position, for the central ones, without a view, instead there are only old and very uncomfortable "deckchairs", all attached, on one side of the beach. The sun loungers, 10, exist only in the small and shoddy swimming pools. The food is very basic, breakfast is borderline decency and the food is low quality. Fried food prevails and all the dishes seem the same. They also have “Italian” dishes that I won’t even describe. Apart from the seafront there is nowhere to turn and say “how beautiful”. Minimal and impersonal service. The price, high compared to the rest of the offer, is only worth it for the location.

Well it started from booking the resort. They ask for 50% payment up front and send you a link to make the payment. They sent me 2 completely different names and dates for my payment. The third time they nearly got it right except they called me Mr when I’m a Ms. They never replied to my query about an airport transfer so I made my own way there (which was a lot cheaper anyway). When I arrived I’ve never felt less welcome at a resort, hotel, restaurant, anywhere. No smiles, no welcome, just sat in a very hot lobby while they took my credit card for the remaining 50%. Oh, I did eventually get asked to tick a box for which cool drink I wanted which was all alcoholic. I think I smiled, said thank you and please more times than the staff. For what you pay, the rooms are average. No air con in the bathroom area. The safe is useless, the aircon only works when the room key is left in (and you only get one), the power by the bed needs to be “opened” and as far as beach towels go - bring your own. Twice I asked at the pool, both times none were available and when they eventually arrived they were small and stained. ||On day 1 I asked to go to Emerald Cave. They told me 8am. I turn up to the “tour desk” at 8am and get told to come back at 9am. I specifically got up early and wanted to go at 8am to beat the crowds. When I said you told me 8am, I got no apology, nothing. Turns out I was the only one on the boat at 9am so I still don’t know why we could not go at 8am. The restaurant staff made up for the rude welcome I received. They were lovely. Except they did forget the water I ordered on night 2.||Overall, lovely location but train your staff in customer service and treat your guests better. For the prices you charge, you need to upgrade the rooms. At least allow for the aircon to be on without the room key, provide beach towels, replace your safes, renovate the bathrooms and most importantly start providing decent service. Try smiling at and welcoming your guests when they arrive and don’t look unhappy if a guest calls you to their room for a problem with the safe. I’m|Afraid I cannot recommend this place.

Friendly and helpful staff. COmfortable beach front villa. Just came back and i enjoyed staying there so much. Though the weather didnt permit us to go visiting the Enerald cave and had to stay all day and had our lunch and dinner at the resort. We found out that food was so good. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The massage at the spa was great too.

Very nice resort at a fine white sand beach. Nice setting with palms. Bungalows had better days but pretty cool to open the windows and be 2 steps from the beach. Lovely staff, breakfast was good and plentiful. However, despite the good service and location, there's a CONSTANT NOISE from longtail boat from dusk till dawn (even in the middle of the night which woke us up many times). Forget about sleeping in your bed or chilling on your sunbeds while listening to the sound of waves as you'll be met by constant rumbling of exhaustless boats/black smoke/smell. Same during breakfast, it's non-stop. It's a nightmare and ruins everything. Honestly, I read some comments about that and didn't think I would be such a hassle. It is. It's not the fault of the resort (even tho some boats are unloading people directly on the beach) but it's really something to take into consideration. Staff should pass at the beach and collect the rubbish left by the tides (I even found a used oil filter still dripping old oil stucked in the sand at low tide). This beach is okay but in general Koh Muk is pretty filthy/dirty with plastic everywhere. Next time I'll probably stay at Koh Kradan or Koh Ngai.

The island of Koh Mook is a real tiny community, with no cars on the streets and is filled with lovely locals. This was our 2 of 3 hotels in our Thai holiday itinerary and was by far the worst. The location is on the beach although many rooms do not have a beachfront location, which is a shame. The room was more like a shack. It didn't have windows in the bathrooms, just mesh, the fixtures and fittings were broken and poor quality and it was generally very run down. The electric shower was just plain poor. Even the 'refurbished' room we were offered had been repainted and had windows fitted but wasn't worth the effort to move. This was the first hotel with a mosquito net over the bed which was because of how exposed the room is. Thank god it's right next to the sea (which isn't swimmable at high tides as it's on a peninsular) as the pools are knackered. Tiles are cracked and broken and a trip hazard. The pools are dirty and in poor condition. The spa was nice, though again, for the price it was no better than any other spa or massage elsewhere on the island. Thai hospitality is wonderful, friendly and excellent value, but not at this hotel. During meals, staff disappear or congregate on their phones. At times you have to go find a waiter to get a drink or to order, for example. The food was around 3x or 4x more expensive than the village, which provided a friendlier and better experience every time. Even if you have breakfast included, get out of the hotel as there are some brilliant places within a very short walking distance. This is in stark contrast to the other places we stayed in Thailand where you were served well and they made good revenue and tips from us because it was such a nice experience. Access to the hotel is through a working school, and it's so lovely to be amongst locals and see the local community. However, the school gate gets locked during school hours and you have to clamber over ditches, rocks and walls to get into the village, which isn't very safe at all and was pretty perilous in the dark. There are better places to stay on the island and much better places to stay elsewhere in Thailand, and who'll deserve your custom much more. I have to say that the hotel staff weren't especially kind or helpful and this cascaded through every level of the hotel.

They look after you well here, the location is geographically amazing, a short walk to the town area. The breakfast was really good. The rooms are comfortable with kettle and fridge/ mini bar and turn down service to prepare the mosquito net etc. Massages are very good- worth paying more for! A buggy comes to collect you from the pier.
