Kohaku

One of the best Japanese restaurants we have visited anywhere in the world. Awesome selection, great fresh exciting dishes in a comfortable environment. We were only in Rome for 5 nights, but were compelled to return here for another meal. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality Japanese cuisine.

Went here for dinner, ordered à la carte, however there was also a set meal option. Loved the design of the restaurant, the staff were friendly and professional, knew English and Italian. The food was amazing, everything tasted very fresh and was worth the price which is towards the higher end. In all think it was definitely worth it and will be back! Also something I appreciated was the offering of a free appetizer and dessert as part of our dinner, both simple but taste was amazing!

We discovered Kohaku restaurant in Rome by chance, as we were staying very close by, and it turned out to be one of the most delightful culinary surprises we’ve had. I visited together with my husband, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the kindness and attention of the staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is truly attentive. One detail that really stood out was when the waiter noticed I was holding my backpack on my lap and immediately brought a small basket to place it comfortably next to the table, a small gesture, but greatly appreciated. We were welcomed with a complimentary appetizer from the house, and then we enjoyed three dishes that we shared. Everything was delicious, and at the end we also received a sweet treat from the chef, which was a lovely surprise. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience offered. We felt wonderful and very well taken care of, and we will definitely return when we travel to Rome again. We highly and warmly recommend Kohaku!

We had the omakase menu. Although the chef was talented, I would prefer the restaurant to offer an elevated menu with premium ingredients. I would also recommend the restaurant, when they serve hot items, ensure the temperature is hot, for extra, soups and chawamushi. It tasted different when the temperature is not right.

I particularly enjoyed the selection of raw dishes—fresh, delicate, and perfectly balanced in flavor—and the eel, which was prepared with remarkable precision and depth of taste. Definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and sophisticated experience.

Japanese ramen in Rome The Japanese ramen spot was a revelation: a chic, spotless interior that still felt unmistakably Asian in spirit. The broth was rich and layered, the noodles springy, soft thick meat and the toppings thoughtfully arranged, easily surpassing many bowls found even in Tokyo. Courteous, attentive staff and an overall calm atmosphere made the experience more than just a meal; it was the perfect bowl of “oishi” ramen to end a long European trip and reset an Asian stomach before heading home.

High end exclusive excellent Japanese restaurant. Professional staff and very quiet atmosphere. Food is fresh and delicious. Its truly an experience. Beautiful restaurant, outside seating available as well.

I loveddd their Akaebi Sashimi! So fresh so sweet!❤️. The bento was also a pretty huge portion, with a cute touch of Matcha Salt! Very unique🍵. Amazing service team as well, very friendly and helpful.
