Have shopped here on and off for more than 10 years. Am happy with the items and gifts purchased here. My last purchase was 5 bath towels in March 2025. Staff is helpful and polite. The return and customer service areas get the job done by nice people.

People are friendly but I'm pretty angry. I returned some Amazon today and they handed me 20% off next purchase in store or 40% if apply for Kohl's card. Not bad... Find some Nike shoes let's use the 20%... NOPE!!!!! THEY LIE TO YOU. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Apparently it has to be a kohls brand..... Would be nice if they Tell you that before thinking you can make a purchase on their FALSE ADVERTISEMENT CLAIM OF 20 % off next purchase in store!!!

I came into the Kohl’s Store looking for a Dress Shirt and Dress Shoes. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The associate DilRuba who checked me out was very pleasant and helpful with my Questions. She took the time to explain their rewards program and how to use it. My Father and I come here to this store in Sterling Virginia because of the easy to shop aisles, selection of products, and great customer Service!

I don’t usually write bad reviews as I know everyone is just trying to make it through the day. But the experience I had here yesterday warrants it. I was with my mom and she was returning some purses. The individual at the return desk was rude from the start but didn’t think anything of it. My mom’s card was stolen so she couldn’t get the return back on her original method of payment. No big deal if that’s the policy. We were calmly and politely asking questions about the policy when he said “I’m gonna leave while you guys figure out the policy” I responded “we are not trying to be difficult I'm just trying to help out my mom” he basically then said he didn’t care and since it was my mom I did speak up and tell him he that he didn’t need to be rude I was just trying to help my mom. He again stated he didn’t care so I told my mom to grab her returns and we will go to another location. We would have happily accepted the policy obviously we just wanted some clarity and were met with rudeness, even after I explained that I was helping my mother????? Do not shop here. Go to the Leesburg store instead!!

Only had 1 register open and the line was 15 people long. It is 2 weeks before school starts, they shouldve anticipated it would be busier. The 2 cashiers were not in any hurry and working 1 register and took 5+ min per person. This is unacceptable, call another cashier or the manager for help. People were abandoning their purchases and leaving they were so slow.

I generally like this store. Granted, it takes digging to find what you want if the clothes are picked over, but usually it isn't too bad. But I am very concerned about something I saw in the elevator while I was there. The photo says it all. Is it really possible that no one is inspecting the elevator in this building, or even looking at it from time to time? Normally I'd not even notice this kind of thing, but wow, three years out of date? That elevator has always been terrifying (even had a kid refuse to use it once), but this made me even refuse to use the thing. I mean, c'mon Khols this a bit much.

** Amazon Return Only** My visit consisted of getting a few things returned to Amazon that were no longer needed. Unlike other locations where the return kiosk is visible upon e try, this location requires you to go upstairs to complete the process. Strategic in a way as you have to walk past alot of merchandise in various departments to get there. Anywho, the process was super easy. There was a line but it went by quickly. Your return receipt comes equipped with a coupon good for seven days on non name brand or premium brands. The store was clean and well organized. There is plenty of parking as well.

I might not work at Kohl's Department Store anymore, but they still have great prices and allow you to combine discounts with your Kohl's Card. If you have gift card or merchandise return credit, you may use that too; however, at least one penny has to go on the Kohl's card if you want to full benefits. Find a nice shirt and plan on wearing it tomorrow. Kohl's in Sterling Virginia was very quiet when I entered today. Nevertheless, I found what I wanted and was about to leave when I remembered I had a gift card. I went to the second floor to make use of my gift card. Kohl's has a great no hassle return policy to which I know has been abused many times. I know they take the loss, because of the mass amount of buys people make. The lady was as able to put the charge on my gift card and refund my pervious payment on my check card. On my way out, I gave my left over balance yo a woman who was looking at the fine jewelry. Now it's time to go home and get something to eat and do my homework for tomorrow's job training. Glad Kohl's was near my new potential work place. Need to pass the test to get hired. Now I have a more comfortable shirt to wear for the class tomorrow. Thanks Kohl's

Recently visited a Kohls's in Albuquerque New Mexico. Had jeans to return that didn't fit. The return went quickly which was great. Continued shopping, wife found shoes she liked and went to pay for them with a $10.00 off coupon. Apparently, they said that the $10.00 off coupon got applied to the returned jeans and would not be applied to the sale of shoes ?????. The jeans had a discount that was applied when she had purchased them, so not sure why it was not able to be used for the shoes.... confused me, to say the least, but... not at all surprised after reading some of the reviews here and elsewhere. We are no longer a Kohl's shopper. 1-star rating for them from me Michael

I often come here with my husband as he found a particular pant he likes in a color he likes, not to mention we get sucked in with the sales. For my husband he finds what he is looking for and then some. For me, I've actually found some great clearance deals but you have to be willing to have the patience to dig through various racks and they aren't always the most organized but it can pay off, if you're willing to deal with it. The store seems to have a bit of everything, housewares, clothes for adults, kids, and babies, toys, and shoes. There are parts of the store that are a bit messy but to me its no more messy than other discount retailers in the area. Not to mention they occasionally have coupons in the paper and we end up spending enough to get Kohls cash to return for another follow up visit. Depending on the time of day there can be a bit of a wait to check out. The cashiers seem eager too to try and get you to open up a Kohls charge account, last time thankfully I didn't have my ID with me so that took care of that. :-)

If you've been to one you've been to them all. It's a little sad inside. I pop in occasionally when I'm looking for something simple (think socks) and usually browse around and end up picking more than intended. There's usually a huge clearance section in the back. I knocked a star for the checkout process. I get that their corporate overlords probably push for Kohl's credit card sign ups, but my God the last time I was there it was basically a two minute argument with the woman who was trying to get me to sign up. I was incredibly patient but she kept going on and on about signing up. It's a giant turn off and will make me think twice about returning.

Came in to get socks. The sign clearly says buy one get one half off but the sale ended apparently. Why are the signs still up confusing customers. Never returning here again.

I've had a credit card with Kohl's for probably 20 years or more. I'm not a big shopper, the most I've ever had on the card was probably 300.00 to 350.00. In the last few years it rarely gets over 100.00 or so. I've always paid on time, with the exception of maybe a hand full of times since I've had the card. Usually they charge a very healthy late fee when that happens. In Jan., my bill due on the 12th, for some reason I totally forgot and thought of it on the 19th and immediately made the necessary payment. On the 18th a letter was generated to me, which I received yesterday regarding my delinquent account, and threatening to collect the balance, which is 71.00 . I was told I had 30 days to dispute the bill if that was the case. It was the most insulting letter I've ever received in my life. One week late and they are basically after you for the balance, which I am now paying and closing my account. This compute age is great, but it doesn't allow for common sense and good customer service. All that is out the window.

Sign light was clicked off already 30 minutes before closing time. Found plenty of fitted pants for work at very affordable prices. The staff weren't very knowledgable about their inventory, to my puzzlement. No career sets, but I was happy to mix'n'match with suitable jackets, despite the one floor lady's claim that they didn't have anything in the way of blazers... while standing within 50 feet of two options. Some cute shrugs in not so cute colors. I'll probably end up at the one closer to home to spend my $60 in Kohl's Cash.

Came in to return some items I received during the holidays. Naturally we took the store credit. As I understand that having or making returns to customer service is more convenient, what isn't convenient, is having to go upstairs and then to the back of the store. We searched the store, was surprised to see that Hallmark was a third-party vendor with their current merchandise/Gift Wrap is being sold in Kohl's. So there's a positive. Skimmed through the electronics and toys sections before heading down to the Men's Dept. Once in the Men's Dept., tried browsing through the graphic tees. Then headed over to the "Big & Tall section, which I wasn't aware that was in Kohl's, for men at least. Anyway, as expected with Kohl's, everything just seemed disorganized if it wasn't on a particular sales rack or on a wall display. Found some flannel shirts, but in order to to get the right size, we had to get the assistance pole ourselves as no one had asked if we needed assistance. That to me can fall into the Guest Safety category. Found some shirts to try on, found the dressing room and went about the process. Finally found the one that fit right, and it was time to head to the check out. We were called up by a young lady who was trying ask if we wanted to sign up for the rewards program. But you just couldn't really hear or understand what she was saying. I'm not sure that this experience will bring me back to Kohl's.

Some outstanding fashion options, but really high designer prices. I'd recommend shopping if you have a gift card (which I had), but sticking to clearance and sale items otherwise. Unfortunately, this Kohl's had no shopping carts available. I went on a Sunday, the last day of the tax-free weekend, and although it didn't seem terribly busy, I guess they under staff their carts. Regardless, this made my experience suffer a bit. Thankfully, the changing rooms were readily available, so I could try clothes on at my leisure. Also, the check-out lady really pushed for me to sign up for a Kohl's credit card, as if her life depended on it. I had to reason with her that I was not interested in the card, and she just about glared at me. I hope Kohl's isn't so hard on their employees that they make them this rabid. I like the clothing styles Kohl's has, but I was glad to get out of there after checking out. My favorite go-to for clothes, Walmart, has cute attire as well, minus insane high prices and severely stubborn check-out ladies (I'm a fan of self-checkout anyway).

I really like how this location since the remodel took place like the other yelper had commented about. It allows for more stock within the store. I am not a fan of having only one door access into the store where as many other Kohl's stores have a main entrance into the men's department as well as the female's department. It was strange to have an upstairs section in this Kohl's which include children, women's underwear, shoes, household goods, travel, and seasonal. This location has a big parking lot and every time I have been there hasn't been that crowded.

I like Kohl's. I like it a lot. When I come here I can always leave with a lot of things that fit me awesome and the price is always right. This visit though..scary. I haven't seen Kohl's this messy since Christmas. Maybe they were short of staff but things were all over the floor and racks. I couldn't tell the difference between the clearance rack and regular racks. Usually it's not this bad when I come so maybe I came right after the rush..I don't know. I ended up just buying a new wallet. A disappointing trip but I'm not giving up on this store yet! I'll be back!

This Kohl's underwent an extreme makeover recently. It looks super nice! I've always liked this location because it is two stories...so if the first floor isn't overwhelming enough with a huge selection, you can go upstairs and shop for the kids or check out the home items. They seriously have unbeatable prices at Kohl's. I don't shop there too often because I usually just post up in the mall, but when I do, I'm always really satisfied with my purchases. I really like the newer and trendier women's lines. They have a lot of day-to-night looks you can choose from.

I don't go to Kohl's often as I once did. I just don't find the clothing or shoes I am looking for anymore. The shoe section is often such a disaster I can't find anything and walk away annoyed. I have been a few times recently for housewares and towels. The selection is fine. What is keeping me from going back to this location is how pushy the checkout staff have been about opening a Kohl's account. I don't want another credit card and it seems like each time I have to explain multiple times that I'm not interested and it just makes the entire transaction and experience there miserable. I don't want to open it and pay for it immediately - every time there is an inquiry to your credit, it can hurt your credit so STOP ASKING ME after I politely tell you I am not interested.

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Kohl's in Sterling to see if I could exchange a piece of defective merchandise. Although I did not have my receipt with me, the store manager, Shelly, allowed me to do an even exchange or was willing to credit the money back to my Kohl's account. This was a totally hassle-free process, quite unlike other establishments where I needed to do an exchange or get a refund for defective merchandise. I highly recommend this particular store, due to the excellent customer service that I received there. Thank you, Shelly!

The store itself is pretty organized and clean, the prices are pretty good, and the staff is good. The only thing I have a problem with is some of the other customers. They are very rude and I have seen plenty mess up the store, it makes it hard on the other customers to find things, and hard on the employees, they're the ones who have to clean it up.

I ordered online to pick up at the store and they only have one person working so it is a waste to pre order. It is taking 15 minutes per customer. Useless to order and pay in advance. !!!

done with this store. customer service is always a hassle there, always! this was the last straw. I had to make an exchange, took the last item they had on the rack, but it was a return with out tags but matched my new item i was exchanging for the right size. the woman at the counter said she could not make the exchange as the one did not have a tag. i pointed out it was the same item but mine had all its tags the other was used but the size i needed and still she said she could not do anything with out a tag on the store item. i asked her why she was in the customer service desk when she cant help people. my husband got so mad about it all, he cut up my cards and I no longer shop Kohls. not like there are not other stores who are helpful. this place doesn't deserve to stay open.

This was my first trip to this Kohl's location, where I wanted to buy a pair of Sketchers shoes to replace the ones I have that are getting worn out. The shoe department was hard to find (it's upstairs) but I finally found it. The Sketchers shelf was a complete mess!! Boxes on the floor, shoes everywhere, utter chaos. I took a picture but not sure how to add a picture to a review. When I managed to find a box that showed the style and size I was looking for, the box was empty. Then I found another one - also empty. I don't know what happened in the shoe department but I'm glad I wasn't there when it happened. It looked like a tornado went through. I didn't buy any shoes, but I did buy a nice handbag on sale so that made the trip (sort of) worthwhile. I won't bother going back to this location in the future.

The prices are good but what a horribly dirty place to shop. I wish I would have taken photos as proof. I recently went to this Sterling store to purchase pants. This was a Saturday morning so I cannot think of a reason or excuse why it would have been so messy at that time of day. If this store (the Men's department) had been a restaurant, it would have been shut down. If not for the 30% coupon I would not have gone there. Maybe I will try the Herndon store next time. Sorry Kohl's management, I once like to shop here. You have really gone downhill. Additionally, I never did find the size pants I wanted.
