This Korean restaurant is at the Live Casino and Hotel located adjacent to the Arundel Mills Mall. It is the only restaurant that has both excellent food and reasonable prices at this location. Unlike any other business in this entire complex, Koho provides Bonchon ( small appetizers) with your entree for no additional cost!! The Bibimbop was served in a large bowl ( generous portion) and consisted of a soft boiled egg, vegetables, pickled vegetables, and shredded beef. It was served warm and came with a cup of complimentary miso soup. I also had a spicy seafood stew.
There were 4 bonchon, kimchi, broccoli with chicken , chicken gizzard and a bean sprout dish. They were all good. The kimchi was very spicy and crunchy, just the way I like it!
The bibimbop had the crucial soft boiled egg on top which was done to perfection and served as a sauce for the rest of the dish. The beef and vegetables were cooked properly and flavorful. All of these ingredients are served over a bed of warm rice, however, the meat and vegetables dominated the dish; it was not just a bowl of rice with a small amount of other ingredients on top.
The seafood stew was very spicy ( which I like, but be warned, the stew was very hot in temperature too. Don't touch the metal bowl it's served in. It was chock full of squid, shrimp and mussels which were all properly cooked and tasty.
Both the bibimbop and the stew were enough for a meal on their own, especially with the complimentary bonchon and miso soup. The bibimbop was $19 and the stew $18, which I consider reasonable given the complimentary items.
The service was attentive and the atmosphere is modern. I recommend this restaurant highly ( I loved the lazy Susan in the middle of each table so you could reach the various dishes with out reaching over your companions)
