"There are a bunch of good places to get ice cream in Ocean City. There are even a lot of really good places. But if you were to play a word association game with your friends out on your Wesley Ave deck, and the prompt was “ice cream,” 10 out of 10 times their immediate reaction would be to yell “Kohr Bros.” This soft-serve spot with a few locations on the boardwalk has been around longer than most people on the boardwalk have been alive, and is known for its twists. In addition to the classic vanilla/chocolate combo, they have options like orange sherbet/vanilla, mint/chocolate, and peanut butter/chocolate. You can get your custard plain or dipped in sprinkles, and it’s piled so high you’ll have to take a few laps around the boardwalk rides next door before you head home." - Sydney McElwee

I love Kohr Bros and won’t go to any other place on the boardwalk for ice cream, but today was, unfortunately, frustrating. Two young men were too engrossed in their conversation to help me with my order. I tried ordering 3 separate times and they blatantly ignored me. This won’t prohibit me from going and I certainly understand talking to coworkers at work, but there comes a time and place.

When you go down the shore, Kohr Brothers is a must. Get yourself a classic vanilla orange sherbet twist in a cone. It’s easily the best I’ve ever had. There was no wait, our ice cream came out quickly, and it was decently priced. Highly recommend everyone get a Kohr Brothers while in the area.

We never miss the opportunity to stop here at least twice when in Ocean City. The custard is delicious and the flavors unique. Since our last visit, they added Dulce de Leche and it's amazing - rich but not overpowering - but I still love the orange+vanilla twist. A boardwalk must - perhaps after a dinner of Thrasher fries.

This place has been a must go ever since I was a kid. Not anymore. All three of our cones were stale. The peanut butter custard was as good but after visiting a local custard shop for the past few years their custard is not in the realm of quality custard that I thought it was.

This is the only ice cream (technically frozen custard) I eat when I am in Ocean City! It's so delicious and creamy, and the flavors are just on point. I go back and forth between chocolate vanilla swirl or chocolate peanut butter swirl, and sometimes I even dip it in chocolate. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out! I can't wait to go back soon so I can have my Kohr Bros.

The boardwalk debate is always whether to go here or the nearby Dumser's. There's no wrong answer except for doing neither. It all depends on what you want in your frozen dessert. You won't find hard, hand dipped ice cream here. Kohr does the custard thing. I go here for the creamsicle. You can mix it up with a number of flavor combinations but I'd recommend the vanilla and orange. It's even featured in their signage. Fair warning, this is a fast melting cone. It'll be 80 and cloudy and you still have to move quickly before this becomes a tasty puddle.

I love frozen custard and Kohr's custard shop did not disappoint. There are several Kohr's custard stands along the boardwalk at Ocean City in fact. I had the peanut butter and chocolate, and also tried the pumpkin spice and cinnamon, both of which were amazing. The custard was creamy but not overly rich, and the flavors were spot on. This will be my next time when I'm back again!

They have soft serve orange sherbert ice cream! That right there is enough to make this a great ice cream shop. I don't like many flavors of ice cream, if it isn't orange or rainbow sherbert I don't want it, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this place only has three options, four if you count the vanilla/chocolate swirl and for one of them to be orange sherbert it makes me so happy. Prices are decent and expected for a place on the boardwalk. As long as they keep orange sherbert as a menu staple, they'll have a fan in me.

I'm a sucker for this stuff every time I'm on the Boardwalk in OC. I've tried multiple varieties over the years at multiple locations in Maryland and New Jersey but I always come back to peanut butter as my favorite. Kohr Brothers is just a little different from any other type of soft ice cream/frozen yogurt I've tried and in my opinion is one of the best. I know some folks prefer hand dipped ice cream but I'll take this stuff any day of the week. I'm an unabashed fan who likes to get my fix multiple times in a summer.

Our favorite ice cream in DelMarVa. Always delicious and super creamy. Many people don't know it's made with egg whites so it's lower in fat and calories. Service is very good. We've been to several locations in OCMD, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island. YUM!

This stuff is AMAZING! If you like the way cool whip in the tub taste when its frozen then this is your place. Line moves fast and you get a lot on the cone. Many flavors to choose from and soooo worth the money! We get it every year we visit!

I had a small vanilla cone, husband had a small pumpkin for $9 total. Delicious, possibly the best ice cream I have ever had. The small size was plenty, enough to be satisfying but not tiring. Delicious!!

I set out to find a good waffle cone and was losing hope when I decided to stop at Kohr brothers. My friend and I both got the ultimate waffle cone. The custard is creamy and flavorful. My favorite part was the chocolate jimmies...they actually taste like chocolate, not flavorless wax like most places! The girls working we're super efficient too... They kept the line moving way faster than Dumser's
