I've been going to Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia since I was about 15 years old and did not know that they built a cafe. What a great addition to the church! We stopped in today before 3rd service and wow! It was packed with people, smelled amazing and had a great selection of bagels, sandwiches, donuts, muffins, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
The cashier said it has been open for 2 years now! Which is crazy cause I had no clue- although I've smelled coffee in the air when I went to church.
They gave Veterans anything we wanted and for free! So me and my dad got a few things, and my mom had to pay for her coffee and banana bread. I ordered donut holes with raspberry syrup on top, a peppermint hot chocolate with whipped cream, and an everything bagel with bacon, egg and cheese and WOW! It was so tasty! Everything was fresh and tasted so good!
My dad got a coffee with a muffin and he was happy with that. My mom enjoyed the coffee but wasn't a fan of the banana bread, I tasted a bit and didn't care for it either, it didn't have much flavor. But everything else was great. While we were eating, they also had TV's showing the chapel and the worship band singing. I guess if you wanted to, you could sit in the cafe and do church which is a cool option. Definitely recommend the church and the cafe! Can't wait to see what else Calgary does to extend the fellowship!
