The 38 Best Restaurants in Calgary, Canada | Eater

"It may be physically impossible to tire of Koji’s pork katsu, with its crisp golden coating and shattering crunch. Owner Eric Jung serves up the breaded cutlet in a variety of traditional ways: atop a hot soy dashi broth, in curry, smothered in miso gravy. The cheese katsu is like a magnified deep-fried mozzarella stick, only better. [$-$$]" - Dan Clapson

Absolutely the best katsu place in the city! I've basically tried all the katsu resto in Calgary, and I can say -- the breading here at Koji is definitely the best. My favourite is the ebi (shrimp) set. Reasonable pricing. Would definitely continue to return.

It's a quaint little family-run business that specializes in katsu and while the service was very friendly and accommodating, the food sadly missed the mark for us. We ordered their chicken katsu curry and teriyaki bowl and both were just wayyy too salty for our liking (the curry in particular). The chicken itself was super fresh and crispy, and the additional cheese katsu I got was also really good. Unfortunately, the overwhelming saltiness made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal, but it might have just been a one off based on other reviews.

Phenomenal food. I was only in Calgary for a couple of days but this was by far the best place I ate during my stay! Would absolutely eat here again. The chicken katsu-don was soooo good.

Small diner - feels like Tokyo. Good taste and portion sizes! The shrimp were cooked perfectly. A side cabbage (with dressing) was a nice compliment to the hearty curry.

best Katsu I had in Calgary. Little cozy restaurant. Friendly service. Small menu (Katsu only) but on point. Highly recommend their signature curry Katsu.

Every time I come here with my friend, we’re both very satisfied with the amount of food and its taste. I personally like and recommend trying the Teriyaki katsu, and the service is really nice, too.

I had the signature Koji pork sirloin curry Katsu and absolutely loved it!!! The portion sizes are amazing! The perfect amount of crunch and flavour in every bite ☺️

If your craving japanese katsu this place is a good location to get your japanese katsu fix, my friends and I came here around dinner time and we ordered four different dishes: cheese katsu set, cheese curry katsu, mixed katsudon and pork katsu nabe. The portion sizes were good and fair for the prices, everyone got pretty full from it. The food itself was crispy and flavorful, I highly recommend the katsu nabe but the cheese classic set is top tier as well. Just note that not all dishes come with salad and soup, if that's what your expecting. Although the menu is diverse the drink menu is pretty standard with only having water, soft drinks and tea which isn't a big deal personally but to some it may be. The location itself is easily accessible near west kerby station. The restaurant itself is pretty small yet cozy so just be aware there is limited seating during busy hours. There is a washroom. Service was good and really friendly and did make sure to check up on us if our food was good. Overall I do recommend this place.
