Kokin Restaurant

The sushi here is actually very nice, very fresh and great taste, but portions is small so I guess is still worth the price. Customer service is actually good, very friendly and you can see they are trying their best, However I really think more training is needed as they keep bringing dishes to the wrong table and the food does take time to come out and I do hope this can be improved. Overall is a beautiful place, the chef has passion with his food and the team is nice.

We have just had the most fantastic lunch at Kokin Restaurant with family. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is delicious. We chose from the extensive lunch menu which is wide ranging and really good value. As well as the set menu we chose some delicious starters all of which arrived at different times which gave us time to savour every bite. You can see from the photos how much food we had expertly prepared for us. For dessert we had a delicious selection of ice creams. We were in the restaurant for three hours and looked after really well, the staff are very professional, friendly and attentive. On hot summer days there is an outdoor seating area where we hope to be seated next time. Thank you. Highly recommend either for a great lunch or dinner or a special occasion.

This is my favorite restaurant now! If you visit, definitely try the tuna — it’s really well-prepared and delicious. The staff are super friendly, and the interior is beautiful. I’ll definitely come back!

The food tastes authentic and is also very creative.
The staff are professional but friendly. There’s a nice terrace where you can watch the chef grill the meat.

Excellent experience at Kokin! We had the set menu lunch which were absolutely delicious and very good value for the amount and quality of food you were getting! The food tasted incredible and the fish was super fresh. The cocktails were beautiful and the ice cream was very nice! The staff were very attentive and nice and the atmosphere was brilliant. Would highly recommend! Thank you and I look forward to coming back!

Absolutely incredible dining experience. Every dish was refined and beautifully presented — especially the wagyu and sashimi. The service was warm and attentive. One of the best Japanese meals I’ve had in London. Highly recommend!

Chef Daisuke-san is a genius! I’ve been following his journey for over 10 years from Umu to Hannah and I’ve always loved the way he takes traditional Japanese flavors and makes them feel fresh and exciting. His menu at Kokin shows him at his best: sushi, sashimi, tempura, wood-fired grilling and smoking etc. You can tell his kaiseki training is behind his commitment to freshness and flavor balance. Every single dish hits! I came with my mother and girlfriend. We each ordered a lunch set with a few snacks to share between us and loved every bite. For this level of quality, the price is a STEAL. Chef Dai and his amazing team (shoutout to sous chef Zoe) haven’t just picked up where they left off from Hannah, they’ve taken it to a whole new level. I’ll definitely be back again and again, and can’t wait to witness the next decade of Chef Dai’s cooking. Note: the lobster tempura is a must-order!
