We stopped into Koko coffee for a quick drink & snack and had a great experience. I don’t drink caffeine and they had ample caffeine free tea options, so I ordered the ginger lemon tea which was delicious. I also had the almond raspberry gluten free bread which was also delicious! Looking forward to coming back here!

Lovely spot! Good vibes and great matcha! I saw one very negative review of Koko’s and could not DISAGREE more. This place is cute, not too busy, and has great matcha. I also love love love the drawings they have on the windows. I will definitely come back! It’s also a great place to work while having coffee or food :)

* My response to the owner: As someone who used to run a coffee shop, I understand how challenging it is to operate a small business - and I don’t take writing a 1-star review lightly. But as a customer, I gave that rating based on a real and disappointing experience, not out of emotion or without reason. I understand that your matcha latte is served unsweetened by default, and I appreciated the initial syrup adjustment. But when I mentioned it still didn’t taste right, the barista simply poured in what felt like half a cup of syrup - without asking or explaining anything - which completely ruined the drink. At that point, he could have offered to remake it, or at the very least asked how sweet I wanted it. Isn’t that standard practice? Especially when the café isn’t busy? There were only two customers, including us. This wasn’t a rush-hour situation. Sure, I could’ve asked the barista to remake the drink, but after asking twice and receiving the kind of dismissive service I did, I honestly didn’t feel comfortable doing so. At that point, it didn’t feel like a drink worth fixing - it felt like a situation best walked away from. The issue wasn’t the unsweetened default. It was the lack of communication, hospitality, and care - especially from a shop that’s new and still building its reputation in the neighborhood. And while all of this was happening, someone I assumed to be the owner or manager was sitting nearby, watching - and said nothing. That silence was honestly disappointing. I could’ve reached out directly to discuss this further - but frankly, instead of showing any real understanding of why I was unhappy, you seemed more focused on defending what happened - despite having witnessed it yourself on-site. That’s why I’m choosing to leave this additional note here rather than continue the conversation privately. I believe it’s important to share my experience transparently with other customers so they can decide for themselves. I hope this is taken as constructive feedback, not as an attack. I genuinely want to support small businesses - but I also expect professionalism and respect in return. --- 😎 Time Visited: First time - I live nearby and was excited to finally check it out at first. ☕ Drink: Ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and an extra scoop of matcha powder - something I get regularly elsewhere 🙅🏻‍♀️ Service: Unfortunately, the staff didn’t know how to make the drink properly. When I asked for vanilla syrup (it came unsweetened, which is unusual), the barista added it in a way that felt dismissive - like I was bothering him - and ended up dumping in so much syrup that the drink became undrinkably sweet. 💸 Price: Standard for the area, but not worth it given the poor service 🏠 Atmosphere: Nice interior, but hard to enjoy when the experience is that unpleasant 💁🏻‍♀️ Would I revisit this place? Definitely not. I’d much rather go to Blank Street or even Starbucks next time. Disappointing experience from start to finish.

Expensive, but so is the area in general. Staff was kind and speedy. My iced latte w/caramel ended up $7, but it was super tasty. Not sickly sweet, not burnt and bitter, you can tell they care about the quality of their beverages.

I'm absolutely OBSESSED with this coffee place! The atmosphere is cozy and lovely! The real star of the show is the coffee - rich, smooth, and expertly crafted. I love their food, specially the grilled cheese sandwich! The staff is super friendly. I've already been back multiple times and I'm planning on making it a regular spot. If you're a coffee lover, do yourself a favor and check this place out - you won't regret it!

100/10 would recommend a visit to this gem of a cafe,y friend and I ordered an ube matcha latte, golden green tea, and blueberry muffin, all were delish. Drinks tasted “real” and not chemically, which is very hard to find nowadays. Shoutout to Sajni, our barista!!!! She’s seriously the sweetest!

My new favorite neighborhood spot for coffee, pastries, and light lunch. I live in the next building and often stop here for coffee, pastries, and the salmon tartine. Very nice ambience (indoors and outside), a lot of pastry options(my favorite is the pistachio croissant), and lunch options. I highly recommend.

Hands down the best coffee shop in town! The baristas are passionate about their craft and it shows in every cup. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking for a coffee shop that truly understands the art of coffee, look no further. I'll be back every day!

Yelp
I had a matcha latter and zucchini chocolate bread, the matcha latte was great (no added sugar) but not as hot as expected. The zucchini bread was really good and I highly recommended. The barista was really nice and attentive for my order. The place is mid size and you can bring your dogs (bc there was one sitting next to me) not sure about cats tho. Also it's quiet and you can work or study with no problem. I'll definitely come back for their coffee.

Yelp
My order: iced espresso with vanilla and oat milk The Review: Not everywhere will shake your espresso. Nor will they make their own syrups. Nor do they put the perfect amount of creamy, high-quality oat milk. Koko sure does! I was hesitant because I was not a fan of their other downtown location. Turns out, after trying many places, this Koko is one of the best coffee spots in the area. My drink was great--they brew local Broadsheet coffee and serve it in a light and airy café that is perfect for socializing. Great place, will most definitely return.

Yelp
Excited to check out this cafe that opened up near North Station! Walking in, the interior is super cute and the perfect spot for some coffee photos. They also have a lot of outdoor seating for sunny days. I ordered a blondie batter iced latte and chocolate croissant - both were delicious. They were able to make the latte less sweet, which I really appreciated. Everyone working was friendly and drinks come out fast, so definitely check them out!

Yelp
I've been many times, definitely worth a stop, the food and drinks/coffee are very good, very nice staff and owner. Sandwiched between the Garden and North End, with outdoor seating.
