Koko Kakigori - Review - Mills 50 - Orlando - The Infatuation

"If you’re in the mood to eat a massive kakigori under an equally massive tree, go to Koko. The kakigori and ceramics specialists operate in a house the size of a very nice closet. You may have to wait in line outside since the space is so tiny. When it’s your turn to walk in, you not only get to choose your kakigori, but the bowl it’s served in, which the staff made themselves. Presentation is half the fun here. The towering kakigori is a vibrant, symmetrical work of art and digging into it feels like taking a spoon to a glacier. The flavors involve matcha, strawberry, black sesame, seasonal fruit, and more combinations that are never too sweet. Even on a blisteringly hot summer day, the kakigori doesn’t melt too fast thanks to shade from the bodhi tree." - Ryan Pfeffer

The Best Shaved Ice In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"This is the best place in Miami to get kakigori. The little Design District food truck has fluffy, delicate shaved ice and a bunch of different flavors. Each order of kakigori also gets its own custom whipped cream. So, if you order the passion fruit mountain (which you should), you will also get passion fruit whipped cream—not only on top but also buried inside. Besides that, we also love the tiger tempura, which tastes like cereal milk in frozen form and is topped with Frosted Flakes." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, carlos c olaechea

Different than any other Orlando restuarant and cafe, here feels peaceful and I‘m in love. All desert is amazing delicious and resreshing, and hand made ceramic pieces are gem too ❤️ you must visit here if you are looking for cool spot in Orlando!

Google
What a hidden gem! This place is tucked in the back and not the easiest to find, but that just adds to the charm. Only one party allowed inside at a time just cause it is so small. I LOVED it and it was very cute. The presentation is amazing, and the flavors are great! I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends!

I was disappointed that their midnight Café didn’t come with shaved ice as that’s the reason why I came here. We decided to get one of the recommended drinks, which was the sago lush. I’ve had a decent amount of mango, sago, coconut smoothies, and other parts of the United States however this one was my least favorite. The flavors didn’t go too well, there was a crunch whatever that came from, which didn’t pair well with the textures of the other things and a drink. Mango would be much better than whatever fruit they used here. It was a bit too tart for my tasting.

Google
The shaved ice cream here is amazing—so soft and delicate it melts on its own. I had the matcha with strawberries and it was mind-blowingly good. Unique, refreshing, and absolutely worth coming back for. But the service really took away from the experience. When we got there, we told the guy at the counter how excited we were—it was our first time, and we were genuinely hyped to try it. But he didn’t say a word back, didn’t acknowledge it at all, and just made us feel kind of stupid for being so enthusiastic. No smile, no suggestion—nothing. Then it started raining, and as soon as I stood up, a staff member immediately took the chair and put it away, without even waiting for us to leave or saying anything. It felt like they were rushing us out. Later, we noticed there was a covered seating area nearby, but no one told us we could finish our dessert there. A simple, “Hey, feel free to sit under the shelter,” would’ve made a big difference. The ice cream itself is easily 5 stars, but the service was cold and dismissive. I’d come back for the dessert, but I really hope they work on how they treat their customers.

Google
Fun and unique experience! We drove over an hour, and it was totally worth it. Fun flavors to share or keep all to yourself! Outdoor seating only. But quaint shaded area with bistro tables and picnic benches. Melon - 10/10 Kuro Mistu (Black Sugar) - 10/10 Matchta - 9/10 Presentation - 20/10 - it's beautiful! Seating - quaint vibe under the trees Parking - 5/10. Find street parking and walk a block. Totally worth it. A little pricy at $16-18 per dessert. Again...worth it. **Don't forget to tap that ❤️ at the bottom here 😀!

What a cute spot! I love it! (bring a friend) What I got the Kuro-Mitsu from their classic series. I love that I was able to get this dairy free as well. The serving was quite big, perfect for 2 people. Not too sweet, just right. There is mochis and warabi mixed in layers, made with love and care Environment The store is super tiny, like so tiny, you can only have 1 party inside at one time. The seating is only outside and under the tree in the open space, and the seating can be limited... I can't imagine summer days! But very very cute place Niceness of the staff Super patient and nice staff. There was only 2 people working, and they bring the food out to you as well! I can tastes the quality of time spent on crafting this, they love what they do Dollar It was 16$ for it and the specials is 18. It is a good portion for 2-3 people. Yes I would recommend this to people and would go here again.

Google
4.8/5 stars After trying a couple disappointing places around the area this place really improved my mood. Owner was very kind and this place and the sitting area here is cute (although watch out because since it’s outside it can get hot). I got the strawberry matcha shaved ice it was delicious though the matcha cream on top is not like the typical over sweetened fake matcha so it has a slight bitter note to it. Inside the shaved ice there was some pieces of red bean and mochi (good chew to it but it does indeed taste like nothing). While it was messy to it (probably user error) I loved it. - Went back a second time and I got the Mango yuzu. Topped with a cream and passion fruit I really enjoyed it but it’s definitely made for people with a taste for tart things. I would say though I personally prefer the matcha strawberry.

Google
I LOVE KOKO KAKIGORI — the authentic shaved ice and variety of special and classic flavors are fantastic! My favorite is the Ichigo Matcha, but the Melon is also very refreshing. They also sell their own printed t-shirts from FRUITS — their art initiative which I love so much as it bridges creativity and community together. Please check their website before you visit to stay up to date with their flavor offerings and schedule. It is only outdoor seating and one group at a time is allowed inside to place your order. There is plenty of parking and on street parking too — closeby Kaya.

Yelp
I tried Koko Kakigori for the first time and had their seasonal Matcha Shiso Kakigori and wow, it was amazing! The shaved ice was the softest I've ever had, almost cloud-like, and inside it was filled with red bean and mochi for the perfect chewy and sweet balance. The matcha shiso cream on top tied everything together with a unique, refreshing flavor that wasn't too heavy. One of the most fun touches was that you get to pick out your own ceramic bowl for the kakigori. It makes the experience feel even more personal and special! Sitting outside was such a nice bonus too, the seating is shaded under a beautiful big tree, making it the perfect spot to enjoy something cold and refreshing. Only thing that I would change is the hours. I always want to stop by here for dessert on our date nights, but they're always closed. Overall, such a yummy experience and definitely worth coming back to try more flavors!

Yelp
Orlando~I REALLY wanted to love this little shop. It's cute, it's tiny, it's unassuming, sitting in the back of a parking lot. Difficult to find, but once you do, there is plenty of parking. Their menu is very limited, and they have actually expanded their hours from just a couple of days a week. I let my girlfriend choose the dish that we would try. She said the only thing that sounded good to her was the Strawberry Matcha. I've only had Matcha one time, and that was at Starbucks, so my Matcha expertise is limited. We sat outside under a beautiful big tree and patiently waited for our snowy mountain to arrive. It looked absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, it was probably the worst tasting dessert I've ever had. The Matcha tasted like dirt. There was only a tiny bit of strawberry on top. Mochi, buried somewhere in the middle, had zero taste...And I mean no taste whatsoever. Just a glop of tasteless, rice cake with absolutely no sweetness. (Yes I've had mochi several ) Also, the snow, or shaved ice as we would call it, tasted like water with no syrup, sweetness, or flavoring. There was some sweetened condensed milk drizzled on the ice, but it missed most every area and when you dug into the snow mountain, there was no sweetened condensed milk inside, so it was just melted ice water. I had maybe two bites and my friend had a few bites them we threw it away. I was so disappointed and felt like this was an epic fail because I had been wanting to come here for months. I have been waiting for them to change their hours so it was easier to find time to go. I'm headed back to Saigon Snow where every bite is scrumptious!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this since they opened, and FINALLY went this weekend. It was totally worth the wait and lived up to the hype. The sweetness of the mango with the tartness from the Yuzu work together in the best way. The gummy bits in the middle were a perfect texture contrast to the ice and made it perfect. We were fortunate to get there when there wasn't a line, but it's important to note that they are a small space and only one party can be assisted at a time. This means that they can only take your order once the previous customer's order has been made. Don't let that deter you, because I will gladly wait for this sweet treat. It's worth the wait

Yelp
On a hot day, Koko Kakigori is always on the mind. My friend and I usually head that way if we wrap up a meal at Kaya (next door) at a good time. You get so much for your buck and it never disappoints.

Yelp
It's a cute little Japanese shaved ice cafe. Outside seating only. But there is a big tree for some shade. The shaved ice menu is small but unique with seasonal flavors. The two of us shared a mango yuzu shaved ice. We even got to pick the pottery dish for serving. I love that idea. We enjoyed our cooling dessert on a hot summer afternoon. I want to go back for more.
google avatar

Yelp
I've always seen people rave about this place and honestly I can see why! The shaved ice is really different in comparison to the others around the area; its actually very light, and the ice is very fine. I got the mango yuzu, which is their seasonal and it was soooooo refreshing!! The passionfruit topping complements the yuzu and mango notes, and theres just the right amount of topping for the amount of shaved ice there is. They also have a straw to help get all of the goodness that melted, which is very thoughtful! Hopefully they add more fruit flavored ice to their menu!!

Yelp
Brought my out of town family here to try something they aren't able to get back at home. I ordered the earl grey match and shared the mango yuzu. I always enjoy the flavor combos Koko comes up with and my family did as well.

Yelp
Shaved ice was yummy! It is a cute store on Colonial. Perfect for the sunny hot Florida weather.

Yelp
So so good!! Adorable spot, good food and drinks, and kind staff. I highly recommend ordering the strawberry milk kakigori and Vietnamese coffee! Everything tasted perfect: fresh and not too sweet.

Yelp
The pictures online looked unreal so we had to come and try this place out. It's so tiny but so cute! Just a note, you don't eat inside they bring it out to you outside on the table. There's only a few flavors to choose from but they all looked so good. You also get to choose the bowl they put your shaved ice in, very cute! The presentation is beautiful. The flavor and texture was amazing. I am so sad that Pistachio Lemon is a limited time flavor. This was the best shaved ice I have ever had out of all the places around here. This was next level. You need to come here and try this place!!

Yelp
We stumbled upon Koko Kakigori after dining at Kaya, and I was so glad we did! As a huge fan of Taiwanese shaved ice, I was immediately impressed by the delicate, finely shaved ice and balanced flavors of the ube coconut kakigori I tried. It seems like their presentation has been evolving based on their past photos, or maybe it just depends on who's making them, but I wish them continued inspiration in honing their craft and making even grander creations! Just a heads up, they only allow one party to order inside at a time, creating an intimate experience. There's plenty of outdoor seating available to enjoy your kakigori, then just dispose of everything in the provided bus bucket and waste basket outside the store. I'd love to see more shaved ice spots like Koko pop up across the US, and I wish them all the success in helping to create a larger trend!
google avatar

Yelp
I thought it was nice and had a good uniqueness to it. We had a melon one and a coconut one. The melon was better than the coconut it's very difficult to eat in the heat as it's just melts too fast. It's great to try new things but hard to have me to keep coming back. I would say this was one of those I don't need to come back right away but it was good..
google avatar

Yelp
An absolute gem. Nothing is better than Koko Kakigori on a hot day in central Florida. Seating and menu is limited but it's worth it. You can taste the quality in all the ingredients they use and it's super cute that they let you pick out your own bowl to eat from. It's not too sweet either, so perfect for Asian parents with the non-sweet, sweet tooth. Enjoy the sunshine at their outdoor seating area while munching on this delightful icy treat.

Yelp
I'm officially a kakigori fan! This is one of the most refreshing, unique desserts I've ever had and it's become my favorite summer treat. Koko is located behind Kaya in a cute tiny little shop with an ordering counter. There is no indoor seating, but there's plenty of shaded outdoor seating under the stunning Bodhi tree. The flavors of their Japanese shaved ice rotate regularly, but so far I've tried the Mango Mint and the Pistachio Lemon. Both were phenomenal! As you're eating these fun desserts it's like digging for treasure and finding more yummy stuff packed in the middle. I also love that you get to choose the beautiful bowl it is served in from their wall display of handmade ceramics. The ice is very light and fluffy. My husband & I usually share one, but I'm not going to lie -- I could probably crush one all by myself lol. Dinner at Kaya and then Koko for dessert is my favorite date night combo! Be sure to check their IG for their hours as they are typically only open Fri-Sun.

Yelp
This was such a hidden gem! It's very small so only one group is allowed to go in and order at a time. The menu outdoors isn't very descriptive, so it was helpful to see the breakdown in the menu indoors. I got the kiru mitsu. It had two types of mochi, a big round one (dango) and a thin spreaded one, kinda like chewed gum consistency (warabi). It wasn't overly sweet, the ice was fluffy enough it melted in my mouth right away. It wasn't rough. The red beans were good. The sugar powder was very lightly sweetened. I requested to remove the milk sauce cause I wanted it to be dairy free. The sweetness was perfect. They take tap pay. There's a small restroom indoors. No diaper changing station. The seating area around the tree was in a shaded area. It wasn't too hot but I came in April. I think it would be very hot in the summer to be seating outdoors. Very limited parking available that's shared between this place and Kava next door. It has handicap parking.
google avatar

Rocky M.

Yelp
The Ichigo Matcha shaved ice was so delicious especially for strawberry matcha lovers! The matcha cream on top has a rich and strong flavor, with the strawberry syrup and fresh strawberries balancing everything out. The mochi bits adds chew that makes the texture really pleasant. The restaurant itself is really small so only one group can go in to order at a time. Luckily there's a lot of seating options outside.
google avatar

Olivier L.

Yelp
Small business with great food and vibes. I was not a fan of this kind of sweet from other places I have tried and this spot completely changed my mind. Amazing!
google avatar

Carnette V.

Yelp
I had visited Koko Kakigori earlier this year with a few girlfriends and we had the best time. It was a bit cold on the day we went but we still craved a shaved ice dessert after our brunch. Our server was super sweet and offered us tea while we waited for our kakigori to arrive. We shared the Toasted Soy and Ube Coconut kakigori. I loved that the desserts aren't too sweet and have just the right amount of flavoring throughout the shaved ice. I'm definitely a fan and plan to come back whenever I'm back in the area!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Need a (not too sweet) sweet treat? This is a cute stop. Their ice cream is large enough to share between 2-3 people. It's a small yet cute place which merch from local artist(s). You'll find street parking nearby and a couple of outdoor seating options.
google avatar

Vivian P.

Yelp
Koko Kakigori offers shaved ice, it's fluffy and is not too sweet. The red bean filling inside was delicious. Ordering is a fun experience; you can choose your flavor and pick the bowl that would hold your shaved ice. The outdoor seating is charming, perfect for enjoying your treat in a relaxed atmosphere. While the small interior, where you order, gives off Japan vibes. Overall, Koko Kagigori is a great spot for anyone craving a refreshing dessert that isn't overly sweet.
google avatar

Yelp
It was a typical sweltering summer day in central Florida, and my friend and I were in the mood for shaved ice. I'd been eyeing this place for a while and am so glad we made the decision to come here. Koko kakigori is a cute little shop with plenty of outdoor seating in the shade surrounded by a green oasis. There were 5 flavors to choose from, one of them being vegan (ube coconut, $15) which my friend and I shared. I love that you can customize your experience by picking the bowl for your kakigori treat. The shaved ice tasted phenomenal; eating it was like uncovering treasure in every bite. Each scoop into the soft ice would reveal something different--coconut creaminess, a tart mango, the unique texture of agar jelly, or soft red bean. Truly a magical sensory experience. It only took about 5-10 minutes for the dessert to be ready, and it was brought out to us which was nice. I just wish they were open more than 2-3 days of the week (usually weekends), so that more people can enjoy this hidden gem! Parking was also extremely limited even in the decent-sized parking lot across the street--we were lucky that someone was leaving just as we arrived.
google avatar

Cat T.

Yelp
The cutest little dessert spot! It's in the smallest, cutest little shop and service is so friendly. They let us pick our own ceramic bowls for the shaved ice to come in, which makes the experience that much more special. We ordered the ube coconut and strawberry matcha shaved ice - and they were big! Both shaved ices had the most milkiest, melt-in-your-mouth snow as the base. The ube and matcha flavors were prominent and I love that there were hidden elements and textures within each of the ices. My absolute favorite was finding secret coconut jellies! I love that the flavors rotate and every one we tried was so so good. Make sure to support this local business selling the most delicious and refreshing shaved ices. It is small and there were only 2-3 tables outside when we went, so be prepared to wait if there is a line. Will definitely be back to try their other yummy flavors!
google avatar

Taylor T.

Yelp
I absolutely loveeeee this place!! Their kakigoris are the best shaved ice desserts I've ever tried. You can really appreciate seasonal flavors since they experiment with different ingredients all the time! I like that they also have fillings and the most gorgeous toppings. They're not too sweet and just so refreshing. The service is friendly and nice and you get to eat at picnic tables under a tree, which is so cute! The only thing I don't like about this place is the hours. They have such an odd schedule and close so early for a dessert restaurant, in my opinion. I would go so much more often after dinner on Mills/E. Colonial if they were open later! Anyways, I will keep coming back to try their new creations despite my frustrations with their opening/closing hours because they're just that delicious!
google avatar

Simran B.

Yelp
We visited koko kakigori during Kaya's birthday festival and Oh My this place is awesome. While there are definitely other shaved ice places around, nobody else really does it like them. Each flavor isn't just a syrup drizzled on the ice, it's a whole dish. We got the starfruit yuzu and it was such an experience. The jasmine balls with the starfruit jelly and the yuzu all together made for an awesome bite. The ice is super fresh and the perfect texture. It's not cheap, but it can definitely feed 2-3 people. I'll definitely be going out of my way to get here again.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Orlando. Delicious & refreshing, variety of flavors with dietary accommodations. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Melissa F.

Yelp
Such a sweet and authentic vibe. generous and yummy. It's a tiny shop and you eat your dessert outside.
google avatar

Salina S.

Yelp
Amazing shaved ice. Supper refreshing on a hot Florida summer. We got the mango yuzu shaved ice which has fresh passionfruit. Also got the matcha earl grey which was well balanced. Would recommend, plus has a cute seating area outside.
google avatar

Sagir P.

Yelp
Unique dessert but overpriced. Not the sweet fix if that's what you're looking for. $18 for one. Would have liked some more fruits or something sweet in it.
google avatar

Hikari N.

Yelp
A great place for a sweet cold treat! The outdoor seating is very cute under a big tree creating a calm atmosphere while you eat your Kakigori. You get to choose what bowl you want your kakigori in and they bring it out to you whoever you're sitting. We got the ichigo matcha and that was $15 plus tax and tips so we spent roughly $20. Definitely will be back in this hot summer
google avatar

Danny K.

Yelp
I have been looking for shaved ice in Orlando, and haven't come across any that were legitimately good until I checked out Koko Kakigori! While they are only open 3 days a week, it is worth visiting the spot. It's hidden in a small parking shared with Kaya. When you walk in, you place your order and have a selection of ceramic bowls to pick from to use as your base. I ordered the Ichigo Matcha, which was $17. While I selected the special, the non-special options are $15. The good: Love the flavors in this shaved ice. I was impressed with the softness and consistency of the shaved ice, and it was the best one I've ever had in Orlando. The toppings were delicious and tasted fresh! The bad: Nothing, except it's outdoor seating only so be prepared to eat your dessert quickly before it melts. Overall, I will happily splurge and spend $15+ on shaved ice because this is by far the best spot for any of your shaved ice cravings!
google avatar

Chantel H.

Yelp
Upon my initial review, I didn't realize how much I would love Koko Kakigori in the long run. Yes, I still feel the price puts them in a "once in a while" treat category in my opinion, but that's literally what this is. A special treat, only open 3 days a week, a cozy and quaint atmosphere. It's a unique experience in the Orlando area that I look forward to whenever I go and have to say I feel it is worth every penny.
google avatar

Winnie Y.

Yelp
Koko is kind of tucked away in the back behind a restaurant. They only have outdoor seating but it was so cute under a tree with string lights. The shaved ice was amazing. The matcha flavor was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised the ice itself was sweet. There was also red bean tucked away in the center. I wished I lived in town so I could have it on a regular basis
google avatar

Marcia P.

Yelp
Best shaved ice in town! We had the matcha milk which consist of red beans and mochi. The matcha topping was just perfect, it was creamy but not too sweet. The ice was light and fluffy which pairs it well. It came out to be about $16 and it's enough for 2 people. It's quite hidden and the parking lot is small. There's tables outside, which makes the atmosphere even nicer. The staff here is very sweet and definitely made our first time memorable, thank you and we will be back to try more flavors!
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
In a discreet location in Mills50 there is Koko. You can easily miss it but it is not a place to pass by. The shaved ice is a must get. The flavor and texture of the ice is so similar to ones you get in Japan. A small detail that makes the experience is the unique ceramics which they serve the shaved ice. Each curated and made for the shop. Outdoor seating is nice especially on a cool day. Just make sure you're not sitting in a sunny spot!
google avatar

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
Found this place from a YouTube video that Tim tracker went to one time with Ricky from tasty chomps so wanted to try this place out for myself. I got the ube flavored and it was so good! Parking can be difficult to find since it's such a small location and it kinda looks like a little house but different flavors to choose from and the portion size is huge!!!
google avatar

Matthew O.

Yelp
Blink and you might completely miss this place. Tucked away on a side street mixed in among various houses is a dessert spot that is the definition of a hidden gem. Koko Kakigori serves up some of the most delicious shaved ice desserts around. On a blazing hot Florida summer, this dessert is everything you hope for to cool you down. The Mango and Mint shaved ice is absolutely refreshing. The drizzle of passion fruit on top takes it up another level, giving that nice balance of sweet and slightly sour and tart, all mixed with the refreshingly fluffy shaved ice and mint. The inclusion of tarp balls hidden in the shaved ice provides pleasant chew to the dessert. Really amazing place that everyone should visit! Just be sure to come early as they sell out fast! :)
google avatar

Jackie P.

Yelp
Fluffy shaved ice with fresh flavors and textures is what is advertised and it is exactly that. Both delicious and a work of art. The outdoor seating under the tree is great for a sunny day. I enjoyed the flavor, frothiness, and sweetness of the matcha with the shaved ice. Would definitely come back for the shaved ice and vibes!
google avatar

Yelp
This Japanese shaved ice place is so cute!! I went with my friends this weekend and they had so many fun flavors to select. I loved how this place is tucked away and located in a quiet little spot off the side of a busy street. Parking was not too bad - we just parked on the side of the street. Koko kakigori is in a cute little home with just enough room for a handful of people. I really enjoyed how you can pick your own bowl for the shaved ice to be plated on. We tried the ichigo matcha and it was so yummy! The red bean and mochi were nice touches. It was not overly sweet which we liked and had a good matcha flavor as well. I loved the seating outside and it being under a big shaded tree. It was a space that was good for relaxing and catching up with friends. I will definitely be going back to try other flavors in the near future. Try this place out it might be my new go-to place for shaved ice
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
This location is a bit tucked away, but so adorable. Everyone there was sweet and kind. Matcha Milk Shaved Ice - My siblings and I loved this so much. The matcha flavor wasn't too strong. I really enjoyed the milky taste, red bean, and mochi. Tangerine Cream Shaved Ice - Citrusy and pulpy. Interesting flavors.

Such a cute shop for some a delish sweet treat! I also adore the interactive option to choose your dish. We ordered 2 different flavors and enjoyed every second of it. They were considerate enough to bring one at a time allowing us to enjoy and finish each dish. Definitely a must try!

Yelp
Refreshing treat after brunch at Kaya. Located in the same plaza ~ please be sure to check their website for Operating hours. After selecting our flavors we were instructed to order a vessel. Seating is outdoors in a beautiful area by the tree.

Yelp
Koko Kakigori is tucked away in a cute little shop with an arrangement of bowls and ceramics that you can pick to place your kakigori in! We tried the ube, matcha ichigo and mango mint. All three were delicious but matcha ichigo was my personal favorite. Be prepared to spend some time outdoors because there is only outdoor seating available! We brought our own bug spray to prepare ourselves for the surrounding mosquitos. They will come and serve your kakigori to your party. Remember it's only open on the weekends!

Yelp
I'm so happy Koko Kakigori finally have a brick and mortar store! I've been following their pop-up for a while and they just had a soft opening of their store today. Located in the same lot as Kaya, this small shop is super cute and make a great addition next to Kaya. Kakigori is a Japanese shaved ice (more like fluffy ice) and it's a delightful dessert. Even though their soft opening was during Filipino fest with a lot of people, the service was painless and it didn't take them long to make my order. There were only 2 flavors available at the moment: Ube Coconut or Apple Berry Chai. I chose to go with Ube Coconut since I can't resist anything with Ube. The shaved ice comes in a paper cup on a wooden tray so you can easily enjoy the treat without the messiness. The shaved ice was so fluffy and the Ube coconut topping was to die for! It was creamy and nutty, and below the shaved ice were some yummy that I couldn't name but they were all delicious and added nice flavors & textures. Overall, I couldn't be happier to have a kakigori place to stop by after my routine visit to Kaya!

Yelp
Just found my new favorite spot in Orlando! This place serves the fluffiest, most flavorful ice treats you'll ever have. When you walk in, you get to pick a gorgeous handcrafted ceramic bowl before ordering at the counter. They fill it with snow-like ice and chef-curated ingredients that are simply divine. We tried the ICHIGO MATCHA, a delightful strawberry matcha mix with red beans--an absolute must-try! You can enjoy your treat in their beautiful garden, perfect for those hot summer days. I'll definitely be spending a lot of time here!

Yelp
Super cute spot! Very small shop with a few tables outside to sit at. You get to choose your own serving bowl out of the various options they have. The dessert itself is absolutely adorable and very shareable. We got the Ube coco flavor and it was delicious. It had red beans, jellies, and jackfruit inside. A perfect treat to cool you down in this hot weather - would definitely recommend Koko Kakigori for your next sweet craving! I'm excited to come back and try their other flavors.

Yelp
Fun little spot that sells flavored shaved ice with a menu that changes regularly. It's only open on the weekends but I came on Friday afternoon so there was only a couple other people. Sufficient amount of parking but may be trickier during Kaya's open hours and on the weekends. I guess since it's eating ice outdoors, people won't stay overtly long in case the ice melts but still. It operates out of a cozy little shack and there's outdoor seating by this nice big tree so even in the middle of a hot May day, it wasn't too bad because of the shade. The flavors all sound so fun and interesting. We got the ube coconut today and it came with pandan jelly, red bean and jackfruit inside the ice. Quite yummy, very fun. The ice takes awhile to come out but at least it's not too hot outside while you wait. They also sell soymilk ($5 for plain and $6 for flavor of the day) and it was quite tasty, similar to the ones I've had in Asia. A little pricy for the size though, it came in like a little 10 oz-ish cup. Overall very cute and fun concept, would love to try their other flavors!

Yelp
I love shaved ice, especially the type of shaved ice that this place has! The ice is very soft and melts in your mouth, and isn't in like big ice chunks like snow cones. When ordering your shaved ice, you're able to pick your own bowl, which is a really neat concept! All of the bowls are unique and really pretty. My friends and I were pleasantly surprised that there was more to the shaved ice than just the flavoring and ice! Each flavor had additional toppings inside it. I loved the ichigo matcha flavor one a lot. The strawberries and matcha whipped cream went really nicely together. The black sesame was pretty good too! The coconut flavor complimented it well. There's a decent amount of street parking, along with a decent amount of spots to sit at. The only downside would be that it's a bit pricey, but as an occasional treat it's pretty worth it. Overall, I would give it a solid 4/5
