Kokoro Cat Café

I would strongly recommend making reservations using this place website. I made one two weeks before and I was glad. Be sure to wear soft socks when visiting the cat cafe. You'll have to sign a waiver before going in. There is a vending machine to purchase some drinks and other stuff but I didn't use that. I just wanted to play with the cats. Some of the cats didn't want to be bothered. Some cats had to warm up to me and that's understandable. These cats can be adopted for a fee of $150. They are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. I really wish I could've adopted a cat but I have two already at home and they are not nice to other animals.

we were walk ins but it was slow. there was only 1 other person inside, we went around 5pm. no food was included which is 100% fine with us as we just wanted to see the kitties. pretty cheap, 20 dollars per person for 40 minutes. workers were very kind and knowledgeable. large enough space for the amount of cats(maybe 7-10?). very clean and aesthetically appealing. i can tell they take very good care of the kitties. kitties all very nice and clean. there were 2 with red collars which means they can get a bit agitated.

Kokoro’s Cat Café is such a calming place. The cats truly feel like adorable souls, wrapped in fur and quiet purrs. A special shoutout to Regina and Makita for their kindness and great service they made the experience even better. Highly recommend for a cozy, peaceful visit. Most Cats are active and when they asleep it’s very adorable.

It’s a really cute place to go visit with the cats! Some time spots are busier than others— the first time I went it was all young children who were badly behaved and kept trying to bother the cats by hitting or chasing them (not the cafe’s fault, it was the parents). It was chaotic and not relaxing. But the second time I went there was SO peaceful and quiet with only 4 guests! Highly recommend a reservation and also upgrading to the premium package. You get a wet treat for the cats and also a photo, a drink, and a coupon to visit the next time. The cats were cute, some napped and some played. All different personalities and up for adoption. The price is fair for the area. I will go back again. The only way they could improve is PLEASE make an adults only time slot or an 18+ time slot for people who want quiet time with no children! This is an option at other cafes which can be very enjoyable if you have a quiet personality and would prefer to spend peaceful time with the cats :)

Regina and Winona were the perfect hosts for our kitties session with our kiddos. They're accommodating, friendly, non-judgmental, and just made the visit nice and pleasant. This place is worth the visit for something cute and quirky to do on a quiet afternoon.

I want to adopt them all! 🙂‍↕️It’s an amazing experience. Cattos are clam and well behaved. The fish treats made the place a little smelly, but you can’t complain because cats! 🥹

The place is well kept with a lot of cute cats. I think the only part that I was mislead about was the cafe part- you just buy from a vending machine. I thought there would be freshly made beverages. Otherwise, I had a nice time. My feedback is some of the children that were there did not know how to interact with the cats and were sticking toys in their faces/ throwing things. The worker did ask them to stop but the parents were hardly involved. Maybe the age range should be higher? The cats all looked well cared for and sweet. I hope they all find loving homes some day. I'd definitely go again on a weekday when there's (hopefully) no kids with inattentive parents lol.

The place was very nice and welcoming, but unfortunately I arrived about 20 minutes late for my appointment due to construction on the train, which delayed my trip considerably. My session was cut short from 40 minutes to 20 minutes. I understand that the delay was beyond the control of the employees, but I would have appreciated a bit more flexibility or an alternative solution. Finally, the cats are beautiful.

I LOVED THIS PLACE. I spotted this place in Tangram Mall when I was visiting my family in Flushing and I immediately made an appointment with my dad to play with some cats. It's ~$20 for 40 minutes and we did the +$9 add on which included a drink, a cat popsicle (worth it! The cats will fight over it), an instant photo of you and the cat(s), and a BOGO coupon for next time. Considering the cats can be picky and moody (because they are cats), the cat popsicle will bring most of them to you! A perfect place for cat lovers.

Located in Tangram Mall, Kokoro Cat Cafe has adoptable cats that you can interact with. The cost is about $20 for a time limit of 40 minutes Make sure you come on time as they are strict with the timing of each session. If the session is not full, they also allow walk-ins. In the waiting area, they ask that you take your shoes off and you sign a waiver. Inside, the space is pretty spacious with plenty of room for the cats and people to move around. It was also very clean. If you leave a Google review, they give you freeze-dried treats that you can give to the cats. Depending on the time of day, the cats may be active or napping but once they know you have treats in your hand, they'll approach you very quickly. There is also plenty of toys that you can use to interact with the cats. I personally think there's a big ratio between the amount of people that are let in and the amount of people they allow per session. Other than that, I had a positive experience. I hope these babies are able to find a furever home soon!

If you like cats, you will love this place. Adopt a cat! Came here with my little niece who got so happy and excited to come here! She has family members who are allergic to cats, so coming here is the next best thing. It's best to reserve online to make sure the time you want to go is available. Admission is $20 for 40 minutes. You can also do walk-in if they have spots available. They limit the number of people who can enter at every hour. Get there early, for time to sign a waiver, and go over rules. Shoes must be removed... So make sure your socks don't have holes in them. The lobby has benches, coat hooks and shoe cubby holes for your possessions. All cats are available for adoption! Right now, they have 11 fuzzy kitties to play with, but all may not be available for playing. They may be sleeping or otherwise occupied. All the workers here are nice and helpful. The interior is Japanese inspired, with cat trees, shelves and pillows everywhere. One con is this place would be even better if there were more cats available to play with. They seem to work with one cat rescue team. There are plenty of other worthy cat rescues organizations out who would be more than happy to bring over more cats. I know some if needed. The second time we came here, it felt like there were more people then there were cats available. Maybe some were hiding? My niece had to wait around before being able to play with a kitty. At 3:20PM - 4:00PM, they are closed in order to clean and feed the cats. You can watch this happening from the outside windows. Don't knock on the windows, offending them. They do have some cool Japanese drinks available for purchase. Plenty of seating available.

Cute cafe! Big space and lots of cats to play with. However don't like how they are asking for tips when you book your appointment. Who am I tipping, the cats?

Loved it! It was so much fun and the staff cares so much. I love that all the cats are up for adoption. The place is clean and aesthetically cute. You can buy different packages for the cats. But if you buy food for the cats they will come to you more.

Very cute and unique spot--definitely one of the few cat cafes in NYC that's worth checking out if you're a cat lover. The cats here are super cute and well taken care of, and the entry fee is a good deal whether you're looking to adopt or just hang out with some furry friends for a bit. They only let a few people in at a time, which actually works out great because you get more space and time to interact with the cats without it feeling crowded or chaotic. The space itself is cozy and clean, and even if you're just walking by, you can peek in from outside to see the cats lounging around. It's a relaxing and wholesome way to spend an hour.

I understand that this may be a sort of "luck of the draw" situation for whether the cats are awake or not, but I saw a total of 4 cats. Most stayed out of the reach of people, and those that walked by didn't want to be touched. I get it, cats can be moody, but I didn't expect a place calling itself a "cat cafe" and charging over $20 for admission would only have 4 cats that don't seem to like being around people. You can see more cats at your local bodega. I took my 6 year old her who had been dying to go since we've agreed to get a cat, halfway through she asked if we could leave as the cats were not friendly, and really weren't anywhere where you could even see most of them. As we left I complained about how there were only 4 cats in there and even my 6 year old wanted to leave. I thought I may be offered a raincheck, or maybe a refund, but I was told I should leave a review as the owner would read it. They also reached out to the owner about a refund, and they said no. To the owner: you have a pretty sweet scam going here. I'm sure you get the cats for free, charge people to feed them, and are making hundreds of dollars every 40 minutes and don't have to provide any value or actual experience. Did you start with a flea circus? We will be visiting rescues and shelters from here on out. They don't have the audacity to charge you for wanting to see adoptable cats and actually do some good around cat and adoption advocacy.

i've been to many cat cafes in nyc, but in terms of ambience, customer service, and cats, this place is by far my favorite. the interior looks amazing, and the cats are so adorable. i def recommend going before lunchtime, as they are more active. the people who work here clearly love the cats, and it's so great to see establishments like this take in sheltered cats to look for a home. definitely recommend!!

Good experience. Girls that work there were friendly. The cats were cool. Most of them were sleepy which I didn't mind. Only thing that would have made this experience way better is limiting the amount of people. There are only like 6 active cats moving rest are sleeping and like 20 people in the room which means kinda hard to spend personal time with the cats. As not enough of them. Another note is the black cat and the one in this photo were aggressive. I got bit by the black one which hurt , luckily the worker said they don't have diseases so should be fine. Price is reasonable too. 20 bucks is not bad for a unique experience in New York City .

I can't believe I'm the first person to review this place lol I made a reservation on a Saturday around noon and although the mall itself was packed, inside the cafe, it wasn't that packed thankfully. We got there a bit early as they recommended us to check in to make sure we signed the waivers and go over the rules. We had to take off our shoes in the lobby area and after going over some basic rules, we had to sanitize our hands. Upon entering the cat paradise, I noticed it was very clean and spacious and all the cats looked very healthy and comfortable as a lot of them had no issues sleepy soundly around everyone. They had such soft and shiny looking fur, I had a hard time resisting the urge to touch them. At first I had a hard time getting any of them to come to me, but once I had a toy they liked, they started to play with me. I had so much fun that I didn't realize how quickly 40 mins had passed. I think during my time slot there were 2-3 groups besides mine, which was great because it gave everyone enough space to play with the cats and gave the cats enough space in case they felt uncomfortable around a crowd. For around $21, I think this was a great experience. I actually liked this cat cafe much more than the one I went to in Manhattan and it's nearby too. I hope to come again soon since the cats were so cute and lovely.

Cute and cozy cat cafe with adorable, adoptable cats. Art work on the walls of the different cats is so cute and the staff is very friendly.

Cute concept. Nice folks working here. I'm not sure it was worth the $ to play with cats though. We spent $10 on a cat lollipop and a photograph and beverage - I asked if we could trade the beverage for an extra Polaroid instead and they politely declined which is fine but after spending $100 here you think they'd let us get a Polaroid for each girl rather than buying another $10 package just to get an extra picture so they could each have a photo on their own. This is definitely a one time experience for us.

I have been trying to get in touch with someone for the last week since we had missed our session due to an emergency visit to the ER to see if they could do anything for us. A reply back would be nice but there is no phone number and they do not seem to respond to email, Instagram, or Facebook...

This place is awesome ! I came here with my daughter who is neurodivergent and she enjoyed herself . The staff is very nice and accomadating . The cats are so cute ! 10/10
