Austin German Beer Garden Koko’s Bavarian Closes for Summer | Eater Austin
"An East Austin German beer garden, brewery, and restaurant co-founded in late 2021 by Jesse Herman, Konstantin Prinz von Bayern (who goes by Koko), Charles Attal, Tim Love, and Nick Swerdfeger, this spot served sausages, schnitzels and German-style beers from the 4715 East Fifth Street space. It announced a summer closure starting June 5 to address maintenance, upgrade its alfresco areas, and complete other improvements while the on-site brewery continues producing beer. The operation has also expanded into venue locations such as the Moody Center, Acrisure Arena, and CFG Bank Arena, with additional expansions planned later in the year." - Nadia Chaudhury
Came in last week with my family absolutely love their food here if you’re looking for a great hole in the wall place to eat some phenomenal sushi. This is the place to go. Great pricing great atmosphere amazing service would highly recommend this place if you love seafood and sushi.

Mid food and bad service. The lady was mean and rushed us out of there. We were not even there for an hour. Also, my friend was refused a kid’s meal just because she looks slightly older than 9. The oyakodon was mid. The sushi was mid. The chicken noodles were below mid. Too salty. Also the oyakodon had barely any chicken and egg. Would not recommend and will be back. Ever. For several reasons…

Incredible sushi find in Johns Creek. Tucked away in small retail center off Jones Bridge. Excellent service, 3 sushi chefs, really fresh sashimi and sushi.

This is one of my favorite places outside the perimeter. As someone who lives in the city I regularly drive to Koko just to feel that authentic mom and pop feeling. They always remember me and are the sweetest chief duo for miles. I genuinely feel you can taste the love in all the food they make. Authentic Don boxes and delicate care in their sushi are highlights of the menu. I highly recommend the Unagi Don and Agedashi Tofu!

Delicious tasting sushi. The sushi is reasonably priced and the hot tea is good. The fish on the sushi is fresh. The rice is well cooked. I recommend coming here if you are craving some good sushi.

Phenomenal food and a very large menu lead to an original dining experience. The decorum was lacking for what I would expect at the price point.

I’ve been coming here for about ten years and they’ve never once disappointed me. Always consistent very good food and high quality fish. The staff is also very friendly. Best neighborhood sushi spot around!

Alpharetta’s sushi gem. I’ve been coming to koko’s since I was a teen. They’re the ones that got me to like sushi by giving me a tuna hana sample, since then no other sushi restaurant has compared. Amazing quality, service and staff.
