The Best Ramen in Portland and Beyond

"Koku brings the contemporary Korean-Japanese restaurant model to Beaverton, and it brings along with it some solid bowls of ramen. The soups here — such as the mala tonkotsu, its midweight broth blotted by chile oil — stand on their own just fine; however, quirky accompaniments like “cocktail sacks,” fruity and floral adult Capri-suns, along with the beautiful modern wooden décor, ultimately contribute considerably to Koku’s lure." - Zoe Baillargeon

My husband went to a tap house for lunch with his friends, but the food options were too limited and left him unsatisfied. So, as soon as he got home, we went to this ramen place together. The interior had changed, giving it a more spacious, stylish, and inviting atmosphere. We enjoyed some beer and cocktails while sharing a bowl of tonkotsu ramen and gyoza. Unfortunately, the broth lacked depth and wasn’t quite satisfying for a tonkotsu lover. However, the chashu was large and melt-in-your-mouth tender, reminding me of a ramen shop we used to love in downtown. Also, the fact that the gyoza were pan-fried rather than deep-fried was a big plus!😊✨

Google
When this place first opened food we ordered was bland and I didn’t think this place would last. Today’s visit the food was delicious. The waitress seemed odd, but the food was good. Back on my list for where I might go when we go out again.

Google
Ramen was so delicious... Ube frozen drink was just as good.. will definitely be back. Have been here quite a few times. Tonight we were not impressed.. we got our appetizers before we even got our drinks. ( They were not busy) Did not like that just because we were a large table. 20% is added which I understand. But the server needs to come back and check on that table.. we saw him one time and that was not even to bring our drinks!

Good place for Ramen. I got the miso Ramen with karaage chicken and my husband got the mala tonkotsu ramen with Chasu pork. The broth made up of chicken and pork was great and noodles were good. Ramen Egg was okay. Karaage chicken was wonderful. Overall a good experience and good and quick service. Great ambience and ample parking available.

Google
Koku Ramen & Bites has quickly become one of my favorite spots for comfort food. The tonkotsu ramen is rich and full of flavor, the karaage chicken is perfectly crispy, and the rice bowls are consistently delicious. However, just a heads-up — they have a strict policy on limiting how many credit/debit cards can be used per table. It makes group dining inconvenient, and unfortunately, it’s discouraged some of my friends from coming back despite how good the food is. Food: 4.5/5 Customer Service: 2/5 (mainly due to the card policy)

The restaurant's environment was pleasant and the service was great. The waitress even actively asked us if we wanted straws. However, the food was not very impressive/of average taste and quality, especially considering the price.

Google
This is our absolute favorite place to grab ramen. My kids love it. The Tonkotsu is just perfect. My gentle complaint is their table cleaning solution has a really strong smell and hits you when you walk in. It’d be great if the first thing you smell is the ramen & food instead - because it’s delicious!

Google
So I want to rate this place higher but the Miso ramen I ordered was just so bland! The broth was lacking, the pork was dry even though soaked in broth. It's not *bad* ramen but it is *not* a 15 dollar a bowl ramen. It's a 8 dollar bowl of ramen. The tempura shrimp was over fried and the little flakes on it were so dry I actually choked on it a few times. I at all of them because despite being dry they tasted pretty good. But a few moments less in the fryer would have gone a long way for them!! There was a delivery guy hanging out loudly talking to someone on speaker phone and the employees didn't bother to ask him to beat bit quieter. I just wanted to eat in peace but he was quite loud. It ruined my ramen and chill vibes. It's just not worth the price you pay for the product they serve when other places at a similar price point in the area are just much tastier.

Yelp
Dinner and we were greeted right away, asked if what utensils we preferred and seated. We ordered our drinks and food since we knew what we wantws. We got a shrimp bun and pork gyoza. A Miso ramen with chasu and extra green onion. A vegan ramen with no tofu and added egg. The appetizers came out fast and the shrimp bun had actual pieces of shrimp you can see (not all minced), fried to perfection and had great texture with the crisp vegetables and the wasabi aioli that really brings everything together. The gyoza was cooked to perfection, the nice browning on the bottoms as well. The ramens were really good. They were both filling and the portion of vegetable toppings was quite more than we have had at other restaurants. The addition of the mala in the Vegan broth is a level above, especially with the cabbage too. We got ube and matcha panna cotta too. They were creamy and flavorful, not too heavy to end the meal. There's quite a few drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, the house made frozen cocktail looked fun! There is also a little snack display from Japanese seasonings, potato chips, jelly, and Pocky. Also, mochi ice cream and actual ice cream selections too in the side freezer. Eating an appetizer, entree, and dessert was definitely filling but so good! Make sure to bring your appetite and take pictures with the egg wall, bench sign, or the cool casual interior space.

Yelp
We really wanted Ramen but didn't want to go to Portland. We got in about an hour before close. The restaurant itself if very clean and modern. Service was quick and kind but almost felt rushed. It could have been our timing. We had calamari, Karaage, Miso Ramen and Tonkatsu. The Karaage was not great. It lack flavor and was the pieces were far to big. Both ramens were ok. It hit the craving but it was far from the best ramen we have ever had. Overall it was not terrible but we would likely not go back.

Yelp
Koku bites is generous with their portions and friendly service! They have a well curated menu and you can find something for the whole family. I enjoyed all the dishes but my favorite bites are: - Karaage - Garlic edamame - Mala Tonkotsu Ramen - Princess Peach cocktail special Get the delicious Karaage, it is juicy and crispy! The Mala Tonkotsu was a moderate spice that kept building. It had a creamy rich broth with wavy thick noodles, bamboo shoots, mung bean sprouts, green onions, two pieces of nori, and a halved soft boiled egg. The garlic edamame is so tasty and comes in a huge pile! Lots to share with the table. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and modern. They also have framed illustrated Portland artwork on the walls as well as egg print wallpaper, large lamp shades, and wood accents. They are in the same plaza of Zab Thai so you know they're in good company.

Yelp
They opened a few years back and I didn't try until now! This placed used to be Go Go Vietnamese restaurant but it seems like they split the place up so there are two things to try! Environment: The setting was nice with a lot of lighting and it has a kind of wood-like vibe and a lot of music. Staff: They checked on us frequently and they were nice. 2 ordered two things: 1. Karaage: this was appetizer. They didn't look like your Japanese karaage but they were fried nicely, juicy, and you don't really need the sauce. 2. My family all ordered the same thing which was the tonkotsu ramen with park. THE CHAR SIU WAS SO BIG, TENDER, and IT MELTED IN OUR MOUTHS. WOW! At first I was a little hesitant because the price of the ramen was a bit more than others but this char siu was a game changer! It was the size of maybe 2.5 char siu at other places and most importantly, it was delicious. The eggs looked overcooked but when you bite into it it was good. The soup base was good as it wasn't too salty. The noodles were also nice, not too hard, it was a good texture was us all. There were also other veggies too. Yes, it was a little salty at the end, felt the MSG coming through a couple hours later but I enjoyed it and the portions were very reasonable. I would come back and try another soup base but the char siu is a must get!

Yelp
Nice spacious interior with modern design and plenty of parking. Our server wasn't the best as she had no personality and was super monotone with a RBF. Food was good and really enjoyed the fried chicken in the ramen bowls. Although, if you don't eat it quickly, the chicken gets soggy which defeats the whole purpose of it being fried. I had the Tonkotsu and my partner had the Mala Tonkotsu. Both were delicious but oddly included a cold egg. Would have been nicer if it was also nice and warm.

Yelp
Visited Koku Ramen & Bites and had a great experience. We got the tonkatsu ramen with Tofu and a miso with karage. The ramen and karage was delicious, but the karage was a little dry. The service is very friendly and the ambiance is good. In fact, Koku has one of our favorite interiors in the Hillsboro area! :)

Yelp
I did not eat in, I did an online order with third party delivery. So I don't have anything to add regarding their service or the ambiance/cleanliness. My review is strictly food based. The Ramune was delicious as always, ice cold and tons of flavors to choose from. Gyoza was varying degrees of burnt yet somehow floppy/dough like up top. Maybe they just throw them in a hot pan and steam them, but the bottoms were clearly getting too much heat. The dipping sauce was good, very light, kind of sweet. Ramen was a big let down. You have to pay extra for garlic in your broth, and it didn't even have a garlic taste so now I question if it was in there at all. Looks like it but no taste. They gave me way more broth than necessary, which seems wasteful, but usually I'll drink the broth so if it had tasted good I wouldn't have complained about the quantity. Noodles were good, basic, meat was falling apart it was so tender but also lacking in flavor. Lastly... my ramen egg was more like an overdone jammy egg/soft cooked egg. Ramen eggs, at least everywhere else I've gone, have a runny center and when it's opened adds to the richness of the broth. I paid for an extra egg since that's my favorite part and was double disappointed as both were overdone. Don't know that I would necessarily want to come back to try it again... maybe eating in is better?

Yelp
This place hits every time! On this particular visit we ordered our usual favorites, the tonkotsu ramen and Karaage rice bowl, along with a jar of kimchi. Food was delicious, per usual. Thank you for the consistency in quality of food, ambiance and service!

Yelp
Food was delicious BUT I found a chunk of wood in my ramen and they gave me hardly any soup (especially compared to if you dine in, this order I picked up).

Yelp
I'm a fan of Japanese curry. When I saw it on the menu at Koku Ramen & Bites, I looked forward to trying it. As a vegetarian, I'm pleased that the curry offered here is not meat based. In fact, it's Vegan. Customers who enjoy meat can always add that so everyone wins. The menu did not say whether or not the curry is house made. After tasting it today, I felt that it came from a package. The flavor reminded me of the prepackaged Tasty Bites Indian foods. It was not what I'd hoped for. The Veggie gyoza and sweet potato fries I ordered were good. I got my food delivered so I can't critique the service or ambience. The food did arrive on time and was nicely packaged. Someday I may return to try some ramen here. I've heard it's good and it may be the best option here.

Herb K.

Yelp
I was so happy when Koku Ramen & Bites opened! The tonkotsu is rich and flavorful, the karaage chicken is crispy and juicy, and the rice bowls are super tasty. Definitely a go-to spot for comfort food. That said, be aware: they limit how many credit/debit cards can be used per table, which makes dining with a group a bit of a hassle. It's a bummer, because the food is great, but several of my friends avoid it now just because of the payment policy. Food: 4.5/5 Customer Service: 2/5

Yelp
The Food was really delicious and flavorful. The Ramen is a good portion and the broth is so warm and filling , definitely a good place when you want to eat something comforting. The Veggie gyoza is delicious i've never tried anything like it and the sauce is the cherry on top! The waitress was super sweet and helpful when looking at the menu and helping me make my own ramen. We were sat in a corner of the restaurant which was a little disappointing there wasn't much to see. Overall was a good experience i recommend trying if you're in the mood for some good ramen!

Yelp
It's our usual stop for lunch with office colleagues. Sometimes during rush the service could be slow, however, most days it's quick. The food is good and offers something to meet various dietary needs. The ambiance is casual. They do offer chili oil, just request some if you want to make it spicy. By default there is none added. I like their version of vegan ramen and would recommend them to everyone.

Yelp
Good ramen, nothing amazing but also not disappointing. Food and service were both quick.

Yelp
Solidly decent. It wasn't extraordinary, but it was good. I'd go,gain if I was hungry and in the vincinity.

Yelp
We stopped here because I had a craving for "men" lol. "Men" is the Japanese phrase for noodles. I was a bit skeptical when we pulled into the parking lot and the lot was quite empty for lunch. I noticed the place next door had more cars and was curious if we should go there? Nonetheless, my hubby told me we should still try Koku. We were greeted immediately and our server/hostess was very friendly. I knew what my main go-to ramen faves are and that's what we ordered. We ordered: Pork gyoza 3/5 it was pan fried correctly but the taste fell short of what I'm accustomed to. Miso ramen-3/5 it tasted ok, nothing noteworthy. Tonkotsu ramen-1/5 downright below average. Was disappointed just by the color of the broth, had very little taste of the Tonkotsu broth. Tonkotsu should be creamy in taste and color. I swear it tasted as if both our broths were the same if you did a blind taste test! I was even more disappointed when my hubby told me that they share the same restrooms as the Pho place next door. Which probably explains why the broth isn't authentic to my Japanese palate. Wish our experience was better, the place is really cute and homey. Hope you have a better experience than we did!

Yelp
Stopped here on a rainy day. The weather was perfect for ramen and we got the mala tonkotsu ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful. It hit the right spot. The staff was friendly and kind. It's a great simple spot to grab a comforting bowl of ramen.

Amelia W.

Yelp
This is one of our go-to ramen places and we're usually snobs about ramen. Their vegan ramen is SO good. The broth is out of this world, and I'm not a vegan I just usually have a personal preference for pork-free options. I usually get the vegan ramen with a soft egg added and sometimes the karaage chicken. The noodles are a great consistency and flavor. The bagged cocktails are super yummy and the service is always swift and friendly. The ambience is pleasant and the restaurant seems clean and consistent. They don't have a kids menu which is too bad but my 3 year old is usually good with a side of rice and a little bowl of some of my ramen.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here when they first opened. It was a disappointing experience then and unfortunately, wasn't much better tonight. Young man who greeted and seated us was very nice and prompt. The service overall was the best part of the meal. Everything came lickety split with a smile. We were checked on several times while dining. We started with the calamari. The squid was tender with a nice portion of tentacles to rings. I liked the aioli which had a gentle kick afterwards. Hubs ordered the karaage chicken curry. He enjoyed the curry and said the karaage was good. I tasted the curry. It was neither lively nor complex. Now the truly bad news. I ordered the Tonkatsu ramen with extra green onions ($1). When the ramen arrived, I thought they forgot the extra green onions. I am used to having a pile of top. There was the usual amount floating around the bowl. Besides the noodles, there were tons of bean sprouts (that amount seemed excessive, maybe the chef got mixed up?), a nice jammy egg and maybe four thin slivers of bamboo. Topping it all was a beautifully cooked pork slice. That was delicious, but that was where the deliciousness ended, unfortunately. i have never had a more tasteless ramen broth ever --- besides the last time I ate at Koku. There was not a hint of meat flavor, let alone the long-simmered deep tastes I seek in my ramen bowl. It was like slightly salty water. The noodles were okay, a bit blah, not enough chew maybe?? This may seem harsh to bump two stars for a lousy ramen broth. However, in my book, if ramen is in your name, your ramen should be the star of the show. Maybe they should change their name to feature something else. I noted when we left that we were the only Asian faces in the place. That's not a good sign. We won't be back.

Yelp
We love Koku! One of the few ramen places that will charge less for my kids to order ramen with the noodles and broth only. Most other places do not accommodate, so I very much appreciate this at Koku!! We also enjoy the gyoza, chicken karaage, curry and ube and vanilla panna cotta. Trendy restaurant and good service. My family enjoys coming here.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This is a decent ramen spot! The service was great and timely. I enjoyed the decor and ambience, it was pretty cute. The gyoza was so fricking good, I could have had three more orders of it all to myself. The ramen was hot, had great ingredients and tasted amazing. Second bite in, I found a hair so I had to ignore that as best as I could (yikes)! Nonetheless, The noodles were a great texture and this was a minuscule mishap. A happy hour or drink deal would be a great idea to bring some more people in here as we were the only ones eating at lunch time today.

Yelp
The very first time I tried it here, the ramen was so flavorful and savory that this place was like an automatic 5-stars. Excellent first impression! But when I recently came here, the ramen was just OK. I mean I liked it, but I didn't love it like the first time. My craving for ramen just was not fully satisfied, and it ended up feeling like a 3-star. Why, idk. Here's a bit of a breakdown about this little ramen joint: ::::: Indoor Dining ::::: - It's a good sized dining area with about three big tables, one private room with a large round table, and most of their tables that can accommodate two to four people all align along the side windows. Again, its pretty spacious! - Clean dining too! I have observed the staff wiping down tables as well. Plus one! ::::: Ramen & Bites ::::: - Hmm? That sounds familiar... Oh yeah, that's the name of this place! So for bites, we tried the calamari ($10.50) and kaarage ($8.50). Both with just a burst of that mild spicy, yet soft crunch bite of "uh mmm F-yeah this is IT!!!" Yep, I remember it! It was take-out and it was still delicious after the short ride home! I'd also say that their appetizers are reasonably priced too. - In regards to ramen, this is where the 5-star rating dropped to a 3-star. I hate to say this, but it's between their Chashu Tonkotsu ($14) and Mala Tonkotsu ($14.50). The chashu tonkotsu was just bland and lifeless. While the Mala packs all the spiciness and heavy flavor. Very well made I must say! As far as the ramen noodles, they're pretty firm and cooked just right. ::::: A Small Bite Review ::::: - This is probably the only good ramen joint in the area. There's only a couple of others, but not as yummy as this one imo. Their ramen is delish, but GET THE MALA, not the regular Tonkotsu. Dining is well maintained, and service has always been top-notch. During lunch time, it does appear to be a decent place for large work groups. They use Square, so it's so freakin' convenient when paying for your order at the end. If you haven't been here, it's worth giving a try. I'll be back!
google avatar

William G.

Yelp
We went there for lunch in early November and had some very tasty ramen I had the miso base with Chasu pork and my mom had the chicken, plus we ordered gyoza. The service was also great.
google avatar

Arun S.

Yelp
Yelp should be updating dine in rates rather than take out rates in the page. It really doesn't make sense when looking up places and see exaggerated rates when it isn't. This is a local family run restaurant and very friendly staff.Karaage and Mala tonkotsu were amazing.chashu pork is bigger than any other ramen place I been so far. Good Service and dine in area is big enough. Do try this place
google avatar

Iris L.

Yelp
late post: Ramen came out hot and loved the noodles. Broth was a bit not enough flavor for me and the char siu was a bit too cooked but overall good ramen. It was fairly decent price for lunch and comparable to surrounding businesses. Ample parking and spacious interior to dine for large groups such as birthday or companies lunches. I did not get the chase to try out other things and I always appreciate ramen places with limited items as their focus and specialize in ramen. Menu is created simple yet precise to what you want/need or available for you to add.

Alli A.

Yelp
I am obsessed with this place. Such an adorable place with great service. But the food. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD. The best ramen I have ever had. My go to is the Miso but everything is so good. Even the appetizers and sides are great, I recommend the edamame and the gyoza.

Olivia B.

Yelp
Service was great! Food was not. No vegetables in the Ramen and all the chicken was fried. I prefer food that has vegetables.

Yelp
Decided to try out a new ramen spot instead of going to our usual place. Spent a good amount of time browsing places and eventually decided on this place. Sure it was a little far out but for a good food it would be worth it. This place is located in a small shopping center with plenty of parking! I will skip over some places where it's street parking only with no available public parking lots. I really don't want to go to war to find a parking spot. Service was good but we were the only ones in the place so it was easy to keep things flowing. I ordered the Mala Tonkotsu Ramen and karaage. Karaage was yum! Ramen was good but I do have to knock it a little bit. I do like my ramen spicy but I felt that the spicy masked the flavor of the broth a bit. To start off I ended up scooping the broth from the top to get some of the spicy oils out and about halfway through it was at that right balance of spicy and broth flavor. Not really a big deal. Oh and one thing I though was awkward was the spoon....handle was a bit long and at a big angle so if you're holding it at the end and sipping the broth your hand goes to the top of your head. Oh and before I forget, they give you a BIGGEST piece of chashu ever! Literally was like a mini steak in my ramen. Overall not a bad place.
google avatar

Nerissa T.

Yelp
Koku is a new favorite for me! We dined here on a Saturday night at around 7 pm with a group of 8. The staff was very accommodating when we walked in. They seated us at a more secluded area, which was nice for our large party. Love the interior and the design of this place. Very warm and welcoming. We had a couple of Asahis along with sake to start. They also have fun cocktails that come in a light up pouch. There are a few small bites to choose from like chicken kaarage and gyoza. On to the ramen - I ordered the mala tonkotsu with pork and no bean sprouts. The thick and curly noodles were very enjoyable, it paired nicely with the flavorful spicy broth. I also like that you are able to choose your meat option (chashu pork / karaage chicken / fried ota tofu). I prefer my egg yolk to be a little more undercooked so it has that "jammy" texture but it was still tasty! If we lived closer, I'm sure this would be a weekly spot for us.
google avatar

Jillian D.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to place - food was delicious and staff was friendly, and I have no problem generously tipping for take out when I'm super excited to eat the food. However, you now have no option but to tip 10% on takeout... I paid for extra broth ($4) and didn't get it, while I had to remind them to include the additional sauce I paid for in advance (with a tip). On top of that, last night's meal caused us huge stomach upset. Unfortunately, the website doesn't have a "contact us" option and the phone wasn't answered when I called to air these issues directly with the business. Hopefully they'll consider this point of view from a previously-loyal customer. Sadly, we'll have to direct our loyalty elsewhere & look (again) to yelp for suggestions on great Ramen nearby (I hear there's lots!)
google avatar

Eliza M.

Yelp
Food was great, service was great, and they handled my food allergy well! I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch if you're nearby :)
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is really hip. The sake is great! I got the karaage ramen and it was excellent! Sometimes the service is slow BUT the staff are very kind. The ramen overall is good. I wouldn't say it's anything to go crazy over, but still worth the trip. Especially in a rainy day. Give it a try if you are craving some ramen!
google avatar

Mohanaa T.

Yelp
Food is quite okay, if you prefer a really good spicy ramen, it might not satisfy the spice cravings.. however its good for a decent spice level..

Ananya P.

Yelp
Great family owned ramen place. Excellent flavors and service. We had their fried shrimp bun, mala tonkotsu with karaage, and their Japanese curry. The portions were great, and we enjoyed all the dishes. We also tried their cocktail Hanabi. Not too sweet, and really nice flavor!
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
If you want great service! This place is it! Coming in the vibes are great. What is awesome they have the signs that talk about if you have Xenophobia or racism you shouldn't come. This is a great reminder that these kinds of things should not be here. On top of that servers are welcoming. We were seated and ordered. Ramen- the ramen is delicious! There is a lot of umami flavor in the broth and the broth is always my favorite. The noodles tasted fresh. Definitely made by a great company. The pork was moist and it was decently fatty. Overall it was great! Overall I definitely will come back. I am not from Oregon but when I visit I will come back! They have what I like... service with a great smile. Flavor of the broth was really good and paired up with the welcoming vibes you definitely should come here!

Yelp
So yummy! The service was spectacular and the ambiance was very modern. I am definitely coming back!

Yelp
Drinks: - The Shimai Toshi Yuzu Lager/Hazy IPA: Would pour this into a syringe and inject this directly into my blood stream Food: - The Mala Tonkotsu: Also Would pour it into a syringe and inject this directly into my blood stream - The Matcha Panna Cotta: Would mix it up into a more liquid paste, pour it into a syringe, and then shoot it directly into my blood stream - I really like the bamboo shoots, it adds a real nice texture to the ramen - The karaage is undefeated, and the sauce it's served with could also be poured into a syringe for me to inject into my veins Ambience: - Lots of creative liberties went into the internal design - The back room with the big space doesn't have walls but large slits from planks being arranged in a opened striped pattern - The egg patterned wall makes for a good place to take pictures - The ceilings are high and the place is very clean Overall: I've spent a lot of money here, and I don't regret it one bit.

Yelp
Truly, the best Ramen I've ever had in my life. The fried chicken is to die for and knew as soon as my olfactory picked up the aroma when walking in that this was going to be a super special treat. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Walked in at around 6:45 pm on a Saturday night. There were only 4 groups of people in so we were immediately seated. Everyone here pays attention to details. Before giving us utensils, we were asked if we prefer chopsticks or forks. I was hesitant to order the Mala Tonkutso thinking it's too spicy, server assured me spice level is medium. I'm glad I got this because it is very very good! Broth is rich and flavorful. The Chashu pork and noodles serving is so much more than other great Ramen places in the area. Server checked on me whether spice level is ok. Servers keep checking to make sure we don't run out of water. We feel we're being taken care of here. Hubs and son got the Tonkutso, but mine is soooo much better!!! Oh, we also ordered the sweet potato fries for appetizer, it was great but portion is small. We love the mayo-wasabi dip. We would definitely come back!!!!

Yelp
Nice vegetarian ramen with Ota tofu. While the broth was flavorful with plenty of bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and tofu, the ramen was a bit skimpy on the veggies. It just came with the standard bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, fresh garlic, seaweed, green onions, roasted sesame seeds and a ramen egg that are offered as default in all the ramen. Mushrooms, bok choy, and corn would have been nice! The option for light noodles is great and so glad I picked it as I was able to conquer the ramen and left a clean empty bowl!

Yelp
Cute local ramen place! This is a great addition to the little food plaza off of Baseline! First, the space is inviting, clean, and has lots of open spaces. They even have a separate space for larger parties in the back which is super nice. They share a bathroom with the bar next door. Second, the food: Appetizers are ON POINT! Both the Fried Calamari and Chicken Karage were crispy, juicy, and flavorful even without the sauce! The sauce is sweet and creamy, to me it tastes like a mix between mayo and the sweet chili sauce? Whatever it is, it goes great with the fried goodness. Ramen - I got the Mala Tonkotsu ramen which was flavorful but wasn't very spicy for me. But do you see the size of that pork slice?!! It was thicc and was breaking apart as you pick it up to eat. The regular Tonkotsu my friend got was just as good. She's on keto so she asked for no noodles, extra veggies and an extra egg. Very creamy and umami. Third, the service?!! Our waitress Jane (I hope that was her name - that's what it said on my receipt and she checked out out) super attentive throughout the whole experience. We felt very well taken care of and was happy with our food and dining experience. I've been here another time with other people and our waiter was amazing too! A lot of accommodations and recommendations can be made without making you feel bad. I will definitely return every time I have a ramen craving!

Yelp
Not the most authentic or flavorful Tonkatsu but the portion was generous. Calamari and Sauce were delicious. Service was great. Overly loud music made it difficult to hear dining companions.

Yelp
First visit today. Tried Mala Tonkotsu...or something like that. Spice makes your nose run, which I like. Large portion loaded with goodness, very good broth. Fast friendly service. Try 'em out.

Yelp
Was pretty disappointed. Ordered the miso ramen and it tasted nothing like miso. Was really lacking flavor. The noodles also didn't have any flavor and tasted like chicken noodle soup. The egg was way overdone and yet online it was advertised as a "ramen egg" but ramen eggs are supposed to be very jammy in the middle and this one was nearly just a hard boiled egg. I eat a lot of ramen and am from Seattle so maybe Seattle just does it much better but I had hope because of all the great reviews. Definitely would not order again.

Yelp
Super yummy! I had been looking for a spicy ramen spot...I have found it! Super friendly staff, nice and clean environment, and the most delicious and I think healthy adult beverage that sparked with changing lights Thanks! We'll be back!!

Yelp
A staple ramen place in Hillsboro that is super inclusive and inviting! Their broth bursts with flavor and is super rich in flavor. Their noodles are perfectly thick and chewy. I always get the tonkatsu broth and the chicken karaage is pretty great! Service is super quick and fast as well

Yelp
It was our first time trying ramen. This place is near us, the service was really good, our server was super nice! Don't skip the sweet potato fries, the wasabi aioli that comes with it is really really good!
