Kokum Curry is an absolute delight and a must-visit for anyone craving truly authentic, home-style Goan Saraswat cuisine. This isn't just a meal; it's a genuine taste of Goan culinary heritage. The Special Fish Thali is the highlight—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying, accompanied by perfectly balanced curries and sides. I also highly recommend trying their signature seafood preparations, as the freshness is unmatched. The use of ingredients like kokum and traditional spices, without unnecessary oil, makes the food feel light and deeply flavorful. The ambiance is cozy, welcoming, and reminiscent of an old Goan home, and the service is warm and attentive. If you're looking for the real, traditional Goan seafood experience in Panjim, look no further than Kokum Curry. It’s a gem!

I’ve been living in Panaji for last four years and have dined at the place several times for lunch dinner as well as snacks. Talking about positives; The restaurant has a great location and great ambiance. The entrance to the place is rather humble and once you go up a small stairway, you are treated with a warm earthy tasteful interiors. The brick clad walls, raw laterite, green marble tables with typical chairs set the background for the meal. With this prefect setting; meal and service is disappointing to say the least. The general oil content in food is quite a lot. I’ve eaten prawns rawa fry here multiple times and the general observation is the same. Talking about the thali, They serve chapati in the fish thali which was again quite oily and hard. On one particular occasion we had to return the chapati which was refused by the waiter. The Chonak rawa fry: classic staple Goan rawa fry had too much oil on the fillet of Chonak ruining the taste. One could squeeze the oil out of the fish. Staff: The general service and staff is decent but lacks warmth for such a place and cost. Staff is vastly unaware of the dishes and on multiple occasions it is very difficult to get attention of the waiter. Couple of occasions we were handed a bill without even asking for it and we felt unwelcome in such cases when we asked to return the bill. The bar: The bar has good selection of alcohol and the bartenders have some good taste. We have always enjoyed the drinks at this place. However, they are very reluctant to any small customisation we asked for (asking for less ice or asking for minor suger adjustment) Overall, it’s a fantastic ambiance, good bar ruined by the underwhelming food and underwhelming service. Would appreciate if the general oil content is reduced from the dishes and focus more on the delicate flavours of fish and incredible fresh produce around used in Saraswat cuisine.

Nice tasty Saraswat cuisine : starters were very good. Chunak steamed, bombil fry, batata kaap, batata podi and chicken kebabs . The starters were served fast too but main course took time. Mackeral combo was good . Bharli vangi was nice but more sweetish

Kokum Curry has become my go to spot, especially when I’m craving authentic Goan cuisine. Their fish thalis are an absolute favorite..fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with traditional Goan touches. Apart from the thalis, I love their dishes like sungtache daangar, sungtache bhuzzane, bharille bangde, chicken skewers, xinanyo rava fry. What I also appreciate is that Kokum Curry offers plenty of vegetarian options too, making it a great place for everyone to enjoy. A special mention to Madam Sapna Sardesai for preserving that nostalgic, authentic Goan taste and bringing it alive at Kokum Curry. The ambience has a charming rustic feel. reminiscent of old Goan houses, which adds to the overall nostalgic dining experience. If you’re looking to savor authentic goan flavours thn Kokum Curry is definitely a must visit.

We usually order take-outs from this restaurant during festivals or birthdays. Goan sweet delicacy like Sukurundo, Salharbhaat, Myndoli kelleacho Haalwo, Shevyo are must try! Their Ansaachi Karamm is yumm.. muga gathi can be improved. We had visited during Shravan month when they provide authentic veg thali. Overall it was good. But kokum curry can be improved. It reeked of garlic. We only tried vegetarian dishes.

Located near Old Immaculate Church, near parkimg spot. A good place with vibes, but the service is bit slow. Ala Carté menu is small, thali options are plenty. Special Fried Fish Thali: 4/5 Chicken Fillet: 3/5 (had better) Virgin Mojito is a must try, they have added ginger ale into the mix which makes it special.

Lovely Goan authentic restaurant in a sea of different non-Goan cuisines. I really appreciate Sapna Sardesai madam's and the other cooking staff's efforts to maintain the taste as our Goan grandmothers or mothers used to cook. As far as the ambience goes, it kind of had that 'आदले गोय' vibe to it. Service was okay considering the crowd situation at the time.

Lovely place for a nice heavy thali Multiple choices of fish to choose alongside with your thali and some combo deals aswell 1: Bombil all time favourites 2: Papad stuffed with crab meat was a suggestion by our host Lovely thing stuffed with crab meat 3: massive thali with to many types of curries which is good but sometimes it can get confusing what exactly you are eating (Soo i think limited amount of curries will certainly not harm your thali) Tried goan based fusion cocktails Which were a delight Certainly dont remember the names of it (edit- Goan Weekend And Kokum Mojito)
