Kolache House Bakery

The kolaches were good. They are cold and pre-made. All of the items available will be found behind the counter. If you like a popular flavor get there early. They can also, warm them up for you in the box. I was expecting the buns to be just as full as they were when they catered at my job. All in all they were decent I just needed a little more filling.

5/2/25 I placed our order over the phone with Eva and picked the order up on Friday. Eva’s customer service is top notch! Kolache House delivered an exceptional experience with their mouth-watering selection of kolaches, making our breakfast meeting a memorable occasion. They were even able to accommodate some of our gluten free team members! Everyone at the meeting raved about the food and left satisfied and happy. A must-try for kolache lovers! 7/9/25 update: stopped in for another round of Kolache House for the crew. Once again, they were raving about how delicious the kolaches were! Eva politely greeted me, and she took and filled my order swiftly and efficiently. If you are looking to change up your office breakfast orders from just donuts or bagels, you have to check out Kolache House. It’s a crowd pleaser for sure.

Super friendly staff and awesome, freshly baked Kolaches. I wish we lived closer, but I suppose my waist line is happy that we don’t… Regardless these are fantastic people and pastries and you should definitely go check them out

First time i ever had a kolache was from this place, If you are a bread lover like myself, You will absolutely love this place. We had the sticky bun, Chocolate croissant, Key lime breakfast tart, Raspberry breakfast tart, 2x Chorizo & egg buns Chorizo specialty bun, Vienna beef Philly cheeseteak, Jalepeno & chorizo And the jalepeno popper Everything was top knotch I have lived minutes away from this place for years and have never noticed it or gave it a shot, This is one of the best bakerys in denver forsure. Id even venture and say a good breakfast kolache is better than a good breakfast burrito.

Raza (the owner) is a super sweet lady, and a big Broncos fan! Izzie at the counter helped me to figure out what combination of kolaches I wanted and was extremely pleasant and friendly. I will ABSOLUTELY be back. Ps: I loved the jalapeno popper kolache and the sausage cheese and jalapeno, the gravy one was also good, but not my favorite. My coworkers also gave good reviews on the pizza (unfortunately I didn't get to try it... Next time!), the basic sausage and cheese. As a Texan that grew up on kolaches for breakfast, these are incredible!

The Kolache’s were really good. We tried breakfast, fruit, Philly cheese steak and Vienna beef ones. We also tried the cinnamon rolls and twist and a chocolate croissant. Everything we had was very good. Fantastic customer service! Restaurant was clean.

Small tiny little kolaches that are no bigger than your hands and for like 4 50 each?? Nah and then we asked for them heated, they were lukewarm. I'm from Texas and kolaches are MUCHHHHH bigger there. This was a letdown honestly. Sorry to the owners im not trying to harsh ur vibe but broooooos make better bigger kolaches.

What an amazing find! A bakery filled with delicious treats both savory and sweet! Everything was tasty and light, not too sweet and service was incredibly friendly! Highlights were the spinach disc, fruit kolaches, and hot dogs were to die for!

Yikes! Quality of bread (soft, buttery) and filling ratio - 2 key components of a good kolache that this place unfortunately doesn't deliver on. Bread was dry.. almost crusty.. and wayyyy too much dough vs the filling. Prices are high for what you get. The bread on the sweet kolache was good - I wish that's why they used for the savory options. Friendly service but won't be back unfortunately. Heads-up - if you've eaten kolaches from a donut shop in Texas (these are not the same). If you've had the kolaches from a traditional Czech bakery these aren't even remotely close!

Yum yum yum. Nice people, great food. I wish they had a coffee bar for lattes but that's a big expectation for a small shop.

Cute store. Went around noon on Sunday. They were sold out of the seasonal pumpkin spice kolache. The Vienna sausage one was really great! Loved the sausage and the dough was soft and yummy. The vegetarian pizza was yummy and loved the toppings. The caramel apple wasn't too sweet and the dough was soft. The chocolate cream cheese was my least favorite. The cream cheese was hard and the dough was really dry and not good. I thought the cream cheese would have chocolate in it but it was just a chocolate drizzle. Service was quick and nice. They even warmed up our savory ones without asking.

What's a Kolache. We are definitely now having Kolache cravings after just having our first one. Thay can be filled with just about anything. We had scrambled egg, sausage and cheese. DELICIOUS. Tha gal at the counter was so nice. We took a couple dessert Kolaches home and I don't think they are going to last long. You have to try this backery. YUM

This place is great. The kolaches are delicious. The staff is friendly. I ordered poppy seed, which have to be ordered a day ahead. When I arrived the next day the order was ready at exactly the time they said it would be ready. I'll be coming back frequently.

Amazing food and service! This little gem is tucked away so don't drive too fast or you'll miss it! When we got there is was a little past 10am so I do suggest getting their early! We still had plenty of options to choose from :) The cinnamon roll was so big and it came with amazing tasting frosting on top! The guy working there was so helpful and quick! There are a few seats if you wanted to sit down there but we decided to take it home to enjoy :)

I tried a prior version of this place well over a decade ago and the day came to revisit when I sprung out of bed uncharacteristically early and was showered, out the door and ready for some exploring before retuning home to start another day of remote work. Denver isn't an early riser kind of town unless heading to the mountains, so when I visited, I was the only patron when I was there around 7am. That is just fine with me. I opted for multiple treats. On my visit, they mostly had savory items stocked, which is my preference generally. I opted for a bacon, egg and cheese croissant and that was a surprising delight. It wasn't top of mind but I am glad I threw all caution to the wind despite this being a house for kolache lovers. It was packed with a bounty of fixings that were well balanced and the croissant itself was nice and flaky but stood up to that wonderful bounty. I also opted for a chocolate croissant which wasn't as successful. I think it simply was taken out of the oven a few minutes too early. It otherwise would have been much better. This happens to the best of us occassionally. I also grabbed some kolaches of course. That lightly sweet and soft dough is quite delectable. The most memorable of the bunch was the sausage & gravy. We also tried some with eggs and meat and these really didn't standout. They weren't bad, just not as good as the sausage & gravy one or that bacon, egg and cheese croissant. There weren't any spinach available at the time we were there but I'd give that a go if available next time. The person I interacted with was great! I will be back sooner rather than later and will live to tell others about this gem.

We stopped at this bakery when we wanted something lighter for breakfast. We had never had kolache before but will definitely have them again. Delicious. The server was friendly and helpful. Not a large seating area but was clean. My favorite was the chocolate croissant'

They have a kolache/pastry for any time of day, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, desert and gifts. I always stop here when I am in Denver. Try the mashed potato kolache and the stuffed croissant, they are heaven!! Everyone working is always so nice, a gem of a bakery

We were in the area getting coffee and decided to try this place out since we are rarely this far down Colfax. The space is clean and cozy and service was friendly. Trays of fresh kolache greet you upon entering and the chalk board menu has the options listed with prices. I went with the Southwest, the Chorizo w/ egg and the Jalapeno Popper. These little buns were full of tasty filling! The Jalapeno Popper was spicy and I could have eaten many of those - dangerous. Both the Southwest and Chorizo were perfect. These are a great breakfast on the go and at $3-4 a piece, they won't break the bank.

Yes! Visiting Denver, we were turned onto Kolache House Bakery, and it makes me genuinely sad that I do not have something similar in my town. Kolache house largely does one thing (to be fair they do have a few other limited menu items but not many) but they do it extraordinarily well. They make Kolaches, a ton of different kinds of them. Sweet, Savory, meat filled, vegetarian, just a ton of options. They cost just a few dollars each and let me tell you that 1-2 of these things will fill you up, but they are so good you will want to eat 5-6 of them. You can have them cold or heated, and they will package and label them for you if you request. We tried 7 different kinds, and while we had our preferences (I loved the chorizo &egg, and sausage & gravy) There wasn't a bad one in the bunch. I felt like they were going to have to roll me out of there because I wanted to eat well past my stomach objecting. I cannot wait to go back and try more types that I didn't have the opportunity to on this visit. TL:DR - Get in your car and go to this bakery right now. You won't be disappointed

Went in and they had a nice selection of Kolache's I tried a variety and they were all good. The jalapeño popper has a nice kick to it I really like the spinach and cheese and the chocolate and cream cheese was amazing as well. The customer service was excellent too!

The breakfast sausage kolaches are my favorite. Sometimes the jalapeño cheese ones can be a bit too much on the spicy side, but some people might like it like that. Service is great and it's always clean when I stop by.

Creamer expired 3 months ago. Sweetener expired year and a half ago. Staff didn't seem to mind, said they "refill bottles" but I saw her open the one. Kolaches small. Will not be returning.

What a great spot! Got there at 12:30 on a Saturday and they had run out of some of the most popular items but still had plenty left that we wanted to try. The jalapeño popper had a great spice level, and the chorizo egg & cheese was my personal fave. Kolaches are perfect for a snack, picnic, road-trip, or pretty much any occasion!

Surprised by all the good reviews. I've had Kolache Factory in the past and this place seemed to be a clone but I was disappointed in the size, taste and quality. Staff were polite but not very efficient. Placed our order and she asked if we wanted them warmed up and I said "yes please". She processed to hand me one item (not warmed up) and then went to the back. Finally a young man came out to help finish my order and nothing was warmed up and nothing labeled on the bag to tell us which kolache bun was which??? Breakfast kolaches were meh, sausage and gravy was nothing special, sticky bun tasted kinda stale and the middle piece of it tasted like straight yeast, also got chocolate cream cheese pastry which was just a bun with a little bit of cream cheese and then covered in chocolate syrup. Came home super unsatisfied and later me and the rest of my party who ate got sick so we won't be coming back.

The past two times I've been have not been very good. The egg and cheese is very dry and the last two times I've got sausage and gravy. I end up with something other than what I asked for.

Yum! I don't know why it has taken me so many years to finally make the stop here. I am sorry it did! This was a visit on a very quiet weekday mid-morning. The space is so cute and inviting with very wide-open seating area and a view to the back where the Kolache's were being made as we walked in. My friend and I were greeted right away by the young man working the counter who really seems to enjoy his work and had the best smile. Everything we could have needed, he could answer completely as well as offer recommendations and explain how to order the day before which - for me - is a huge win because, I absolutely will be ordering the poppyseed and prune that can only be ordered the night before. I was also advised you can mix and match to make your own custom version which is such a great thing to offer! There are many options with nearly any fruit you can imagine and savory versions as well. For this visit, we opted for 2 savory and 2 sweet. The Chocolate cheesecake, the Raspberry, the Green Chile, Egg, and Cheese, and my friend had the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese. As they are premade for obvious reasons, our server popped them into a mystery machine (I could not see nor hear what the heating element was, don't judge me ;-) below the counter in front of me and soon plated them up for me nice and warm and ready to be devoured. I had to dig into Green Chile, Egg, and Cheese first and it was quite good. I could have used a bit more of the filling but, not major complaints here at all. Next, was the raspberry - I cut this and the Chocolate Cheesecake in half to share - they were both delicious. I am so glad I finally made it in and hope that more people will stop in for these delicious treats. As we left, I turned to see the owner who was in the back working, look up and I yelled out to thank her as she waved back with a bright smile. This is how you can see that love goes into these bites of goodness and how much appreciation is shown to the customer. Can't wait for my next day off to order some poppyseed and prune kolaches!

What a gem! Waiting for my car to get serviced on Colfax, I stumbled on Kolache House for coffee and wifi, without knowing what a Kolache was. I ordered my first Kolache: pumpkin cream cheese (it is September 1; I am rejoicing!), and wow. Every bite was magic. While I have no prior experience to measure Kolache House against, I don't think it is totally necessary. It seems to boil down to the quality of the pastry dough, and the filling texture/flavor. I got the pumpkin cream cheese Kolache (HELLO, SEPTEMBER 1!), Dough freshness - 11/10. And when I say 11, I mean otherworldly. (Plus, a very subtle salt sprinkle to delicately cut the sweetness. Perfection.) Pumpkin cheesecake filling: 10/10. If the cozy feels of Fall and the comfort of Thanksgiving dinner had a palm-sized pastry baby, this is it. Creamy texture with a bit of fluff. I am really picky when it comes to mixing sweet and savory, and this filling struck an exquisite balance of the two. Yeah, I said 'exquisite'. Very kind employees behind the counter as well. There were a steady flow of customers the whole time I was there, and their popular Kolaches appear to sell out before noon. I'm so glad that Kolache House was my first experience with this Czech fare. It will be tough to beat if I ever have to venture away from this place.

Baked goods are delicious and looked really good. But the customer service are not so great. I've never been to this bakery before. And me being from out of town my knowledge on what they're selling in none. The lady behind the counter is not helpful at all and acted a little rude when I asked about the bread that they are selling.

My boss brought a variety of these for a breakfast spread and me oh my!!!! They were delicious. The bread is incredibly soft and delicious. The perfect texture. The filling for the sausage and gravy was so flavorful... well seasoned. I gave my son a left over one and he loved it, and he's an incredibly picky 11 yo eater but after it being kept in the fridge for 2 days before he ate it, his feedback was that it was delicious and he loved the softness of the bread. I was surprised that he felt the bread was still soft but he loved it. I cant wait to make my way back into that area to try some others. I checked the menu and already have my eye on 9 of the flavors.

I enjoy these Kolache so much so many to choose from. The only downfall was the Kolache hardened the next day even after warming them up. Hopefully it will be better next time.

Really love this unique hole in the wall. Would be nice if they had a deal for a dozen kolaches. The first two times I went were amazing and kolaches were soft. Third time they seemed dried out and stale.

What a great spot! Found myself across town in need of a morning bite and decided to give this place a shot. So glad I did! Friendly staff behind the counter, wide (and interesting) selection of both sweet and savory kolaches and croissants, very reasonable prices, and swift service. Loved the jalapeño chorizo kolache: a subtle but discernable bit of heat enveloped in pillowy dough. Ask to have it warmed. I was astonished they didn't already have a greater number of glowing reviews but now realize it's only because the shop is relatively new. Relieved to know I haven't been missing our and eager to visit again the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Finally! I loved this place and I'm so excited its back! I can't say too much changed in the new location, the dining space feels a bit cozier with the colors used, but the same size. I did feel the food could use a bit more lighting to showcase the rolls, I'd also love to see them put the fruity, and crossaints in a more prominent display location as viewing those can sway my decision to add one on. The traditional kolaches all look the same from the exterior so less visual appeal to seeing the full assortment of them. We ordered 4 kolache and a cinamon twist. One of the kolaches tasted a bit off, the bread was tough and despite being warmed with the others it was cold. Not sure if it was older or what.

This place is a must stop! It's the perfect spot for a yummy Kolache! They are amazing, the sweets are yummy and the cinnamon roll....OMG! The owners are amazing and you will feel like family the minute you walk in.

This is the best hidden gem in SLC! We love coming here on a Friday morning to start off our weekend! It's also the best thing to take to a work breakfast meeting. Highly recommended!!!

The cream cheese chocolate Kolaches are my favorite here! As well as the cinnamon rolls and the cinnamon twists! The pecan pie is a new flavor they have that I really enjoyed.

Holy crap is all I can say. This is a bit of a drive for me but worth every mile. I stopped mid food to write this review. The jalapeño popper is mind blowing good. The bun exterior is soft yet structured. Warm and they don't skimp on the filling. Support this place. I'll be back.

Texas transplant here to say these are the best kolaches you can get in Colorado!! If you don't know what a kolache is, you're in for a treat! Most people think of the sweet fruit pastries but the savory kolaches are what you want to try. They have plenty of flavors for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

This place is a gem! I've been craving a kolache for a while and was happy to have stumbled in here after a night shift for breakfast. To start I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese kolache and the spinach kolache. Both were delicious and savory with the perfect balance of the filling and bread pastry. I then got the chocolate cream cheese kolache which was a sweet treat to finish ok! Nice space as well. There were numerous kolaches so I'll certainly be back to try another combination.

So happy it's back! It's the perfect, cozy, mobile meal. Perfect for my almost toddler to eat as well. Yum!

This restaurant is not the Kolache Factory. These are not as good nor is the service the same. This is not the store that was on Kipling and Colfax. These are imitation kolaches. I think this business uses the confusion to make customers think that they are at the Kolache Factory. The name on Google says Kolache Factory but the website is Kolache House Bakery. They also put a Kolache House Bakery sign at the old location of the Kolache Factory to further deceive their customers. I took my wife today to have a Kolache and I had to apologize to her for what they served here. The popper was the closest thing I tasted to an original Kolache, however I ordered two and got one Popper and some BBQ something in the other. The guy behind the counter charged us for more than he gave us and couldn't give us change. Don't fall for this resteraunts so called kolaches. There are many donut shops on Broadway that serve real kolaches not these imitations.

I stopped in early Sunday morning just to try this place. I ordered 3 Kolache's to take home for my wife. The first one was raspberry and it was soft and fresh. It tasted great. The next one was apple and it was hard, obviously not made that day. The third one was cream cheese and it was outright stale. I guess I should have checked before I left the store. Next time I will ask for only Kolache's that were made that day. Never mind, not worth it to go back, I'll just try a different bakery.
