Google
Hello, I’d like to report an issue with the service I received during my recent visit. When I asked to try a sample, the staff member responded with hostility, offered me scraps instead of a proper sample, and then became irritated when I asked politely for a regular sample. She proceeded to charge me for it without explaining why. The experience was uncomfortable and felt unprofessional. I hope this can be addressed so future customers feel more welcome. Worst worst experience!…. Taking her personal grudges at work and then serving rudely to customer who are paying their hard earned money is not OKAY. It was an old lady. I paid 30$ including for sampling.

Was very excited to try this chocolate shop while in town on vacation. The woman working behind the counter let us taste the coconut and earl grey flavors while we were making our decisions. We ended up purchasing a box of 9 bonbons and my husband also got a scoop of stracciatella ice cream. My favorite flavor was the special 82% dark heart following by the 72% dark and the red wine. Didn’t love the raspberry flavor but I attribute that to the fact that I don’t really care for milk chocolate. Would certainly come back!

After biking the Napa Valley Vine Trail from Napa to Yountsville, my wife was anxious to get some ice cream. This was one of two places that came up on Google and it was so much better than the other. I had the White Peach Champagne Sorbet which was unique and packed a punch of flavor. She had the Espresso which was robust and rich. Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, had no space left to try their incredible chocolate selection

Google
These chocolates are so exquisite and so good!! We got a box of 9 piece for $27. I know it sounds expensive but they are really expertly crafted. The chocolate has a super thin shell with different flavor ganaches on the inside. They are sweet but not too sweet. A few that I really really love and will come back for are: 72% dark chocolate, coffee kahlua, whiskey and red wine. We walked in randomly to this historic looking building not event knowing there is a chocolate shop in there. The shop is big and very clean, half the shop is retail and the other half is the chocolate making area I believe. The displays are so beautiful. And service is fantastic. Staff give great recommendations! Definitely wanna come back for my favs and try more~

Google
Kollar Chocolates, nestled in a beautiful brick building in Yountville, is a charming spot for a chocolate fix. They typically offer samples, which is a great way to explore their flavors. I tried the coffee kalhua, but the kalhua flavor was disappointingly muted. The staff explained that their liquor chocolates were infused and filled, but based on the coffee kalhua, that wasn't entirely accurate. On a brighter note, the raspberry chocolate was a winner! The tartness of the raspberry really shone through. Their ice cream was decent - not overly sweet, but also a tad lacking in smoothness. My friend, however, absolutely raved about the affogato, so that might be the coffee option to go for. Overall, Kollar Chocolates had some hits and misses. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is friendly. If you're looking for unique flavor combinations, it might be worth a try, but be prepared for a bit of a gamble with the chocolates themselves.

Google
Must say - If you are in Napa you have to totally try this place! One of the best chocolates in the USA! Yes? They are expensive but really worth it.. I really like most but if you ask for my favorite, it would be the coconut and matcha one 😏

Julie T.

Google
They technically close at 5:30 pm on weekends, but they ended up closing early at 5 pm, so definitely go as early as you can. Thankfully, they let me in and I bought a 6-piece truffle set, all of which was beautifully-crafted and super tasty. And I also ordered the Ferrer rocher chocolate bark, but unfortunately, it melted in the hot sun. Even so, we ate it after it had changed form, and it was still delicious, even though it was not in its normal form. Definitely want to come back!

Google
We came across this place by chance and decided to try their ice cream. Absolutely delicious! Such a wonderful surprise — I’d definitely come back again.

Yelp
Terri seems to love her job and it shows! She's very proud of all the chocolates and boy are they delicious! She gave me a sample of a passionfruit truffle and that was my breakfast this morning! It's such a beautiful chocolate and they make everything from scratch. I've never been to Dubai but I love the chocolate!

Yelp
Living up to their reputation, Kollar Chocolates is truly worthy of a visit. Located in the heart of Yountville, this chocolatier is quaint and gourmet wrapped into one. We were warmly welcomed and offered a sample of some of their award winning product. Gift boxes are available as are bags of chocolate covered treats. Watching the crafts persons do their thing is simply mesmerizing while you inhale the amazing smells of this wonderful little shop. You simply must stop here!

Yelp
I go to Napa Valley often for photography and dining. When I'm in the Yountville area I almost always stop at Kollar Chocolates to buy a box. While I don't have a big sweet tooth, their chocolates are the best ever. So rich, flavorful yet light. Aesthetically they are beautiful as well. (I'll be sure to add photos next time). There is usually a small line sometimes out the door but it moves quick so I would encourage you to wait and try their chocolates! The other nice thing is that the V Marketplace has a large parking lot so it's easy to access.

Yelp
Good chocolates and delicious gelato. Got some samples. Poor staff person was running the shop all by herself.. she did a great job but I hope that's not normal on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Yelp
One of my favorite chocolatiers in Northern California! Each bon-bon is a work of art, from the colors and textures to the sculpted form and most important of all, a unique, delightfully balanced tasting experience. Love them so much! Perfect for gift-giving. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Had a hard time finding this place. They are located inside a brick building in the V marketplace. We were given a sample and it was pretty good. The chocolates are mostly dark chocolate which we are not fan though however we bought four pieces and it was pretty pricey. Nice little store and friendly service.

Yelp
If you are ever in the Yountville area - make sure to stop by and get some of their yummies! The truffles are mouth watering. The s'mores are made of dark chocolate. Service was phenomenal- free samples will win me over! Space is open and pleasing to the eye. A little pricey but so worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
A quaint shop with plenty of chocolates to choose from. I am a huge consumer of gourmet chocolates and they were certainly worth trying.

Yelp
Located in the Ferry building, the chocolates here can only be found here or Yountville (I was told this by a store associate). Since, I did not make it to Yountville on my trip, stopping by I was able to purchase these delicious chocolates. The Bon Bon chocolates were decorated to look like a "galaxy" of chocolate and each chocolate was a different flavor, such as orange grand marnier and pistachio amaretto. Very light in flavor, not too sweet, and these are chocolates to be savored to really enjoy the flavors! You can also order online if you are not visiting California any time soon. There were other items in the Ferry building store to purchase such as hot cocoa mix, larger boxes of chocolate, bark candy, etc. If you are in the area, stop by and grab something yummy to take home!
google avatar

Yelp
The staff was super friendly and I couldn't pass up the fact that they had a passionfruit chocolate - these are my favorite!

Yelp
Kollar chocolates are beautiful, delicious, and make for a great gift, but I personally think they're a little pricey to buy for yourself. However, we come here for the chocolate flops! At $8 for a bag of 4 flops they're $2 a chocolate which is still pricey, but they're a great way to try a variety of flavors of these high quality chocolates at a slight discount. The chocolate flops are still very nice - there's nothing wrong with the flavor and they're not cracked, they usually just have a slight flaw in the paint job. If they're available they're in a small box near the register, but sometimes they don't have any.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped into Chef Kollar's place and actually had the opportunity to meet him. Such a kind man who shared some stories with us. The chocolate and gelato were some of the best I've ever had. This is why Chef Kollar was named one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in North America. We will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
Kollar Instinct The award-winning brainchild of Chocolatier, Chef--and Chopped Champion™ (S42:E1 "Sweet and Salty Success") Chris Kollar, Kollar Chocolates puts the high in high-end as their chocolatey confections are out-of-this-world fantastic. Located in the V Marketplace, they might be the best reason to visit this area--which is saying something with Bouchon Bakery just across the way. The Good: *Each piece is a work of art and almost too beautiful to eat. Almost... *Maybe the smoothest chocolates I've ever had, and their flavors are so strong, just like a punch in the tastebuds. The Meh: *Shop is a touch small and not much room for milling about *They sell ice creams but not in the winter? I know I'm weird, but that's literally my favorite time to eat ice creams. :( The Ugly: *Pricing is outrageous but I'll gladly pay it for these as they're definitely #worthit TLDR: Pricey but fantastic! Must-stop if you're in the area and a fan of chocolate (i.e., not a commie).

Yelp
Little chocolate shop in a market building. Very high quality product. Service was considerate - bagging our purchase in temperature-conscious packaging due to the very hot weather.
google avatar

Teresa B.

Yelp
This isn't your average chocolate shop. Kollar is a place where chocolate is art, both for the eyes and the tastebuds. My sister-in-law hand picked a custom box of chocolates for her kids. I just got a single chocolate for myself. I chose the caramel peanut butter option, which looked like a robin's egg ($7). The shell is a very thin layer of hardened sugar, basically the thickness of a chicken's egg. The caramel was thick and luxurious. The peanut butter was light and creamy. The bottom was a layer of milk chocolate. Super good!
google avatar

Sadi G.

Yelp
Sooooo goood! That's all I have to say. I tried a few different items but ate them before I took a picture. Everything was so delicious and I highly recommend you stop by and pick up some chocolate.
google avatar

Doug L.

Yelp
They run on bar time plus. Don't try to get there at 5:15 or later. Very disappointing for them to turn off the lights with me standing at window at 5:15
google avatar

Steven K.

Yelp
You may go to Napa Valley for the wines, but have you gone there for their chocolates? Nestled in the heart of Wine Country, Kollar Chocolates is what I'd call one of Napa Valley's hidden gems. And "gem" also describes these chocolates. Every truffle on display is a work of art--almost too beautiful to eat. With flavors ranging from matcha yuzu to fennel pollen, these chocolates are a treat for the eyes and the soul. I got the sixteen-piece assortment (enough to share with friends!). The chocolates gleamed in the light and melted smoothly in my mouth. The flavors were nicely balanced with the chocolate itself. If you could take any flavor and reimagine it as a chocolate, you'd have a Kollar chocolate. Suffice it to say, I was delighted! If you're looking for fine chocolates in the Bay Area to try yourself or gift to friends, Kollar Chocolates is one place I'd recommend!
google avatar

Rose F.

Yelp
I eat a lot of chocolate and you can tell when it's good. This chocolate is seriously SO good and so beautiful! It's worth the visit if you're in yountville. You can taste the quality!
google avatar

Ashley O.

Yelp
Beautiful chocolates that were more enjoyable to eat than they were to look at...and they are darn pretty to look at. Their truffles are pieces of art. When I cut into my raspberry truffle (with the intention of sharing) there was a snap of the perfectly thin chocolate shell filled to the brim. No sharing happened, it was just too good! They have a fun assortment of options in the store. The beautiful truffles in the case beside the popular gelato and then a little wall behind with a variety of bagged chocolates. The shop filled up soon before closing but the staff remained so courteous and welcoming.
google avatar

Alicia G.

Yelp
Voted one of the top 10 chocolatiers in the country! These sweets are incredibly beautiful and decadent. The vibrant colors are stunning. And they have some really fun flavor combos. You can watch them make the chocolates in the shop too. They also serve coffee and gelato. This is a must stop in Yountville! Pro tip- buy a bag of the "discards". Maybe they aren't perfectly beautiful, but they are still perfectly tasty!

Yelp
As we were in Yountville and well right across the street in a building was a chocolate spot. So why not try it out? Kollar Chocolates is in a building with other shops. It's a small spot that sells handmade truffles, chocolates, and drinks. We opted to get a box of 6 truffles. Their employees were quite patient and helpful as our group was trying to figure out what we would like. Each truffle was $2.50 each. Quick round up: ~ Sunflower seed butter - smooth creamy. If you like something peanut butter like this is it. ~ Raspberry - surprisingly not sweet. Doesn't taste like artificial raspberries. Slight tang balanced well with the chocolate. ~ Dang Hazy - crunchies and a hint of hazelnut ~ Earl Grey - Smooth and earl grey present and has the bergamot flavor but not super strong. ~ Fennel Pollen - Savory which was unexpectedly good. If you want a little savory with sweet, this is for you. ~ Passion Fruit - Tart, sweet, and definitely a winner. I would definitely come back to try out their other chocolates. All of them were not super sweet which is how I like my chocolates. I like how each had their flavor profile but not so strong that it overpowered all the other subtle nuances. Yes, the price might be a little tough to swallow, but you'll see what you're paying for. High quality truffles that are hand made. There's some artistry and work that's being done to make these beauties, so I don't mind paying for something I know I cannot do. I highly recommend trying them out!

Yelp
I've been to Kollar Chocolates on a few different occasions. Mostly to kill time between wine tastings, or before a dinner reservation, but everything I've had here has been excellent. For this most recent visit I can really only speak to the Iced Chocolate and the S'mores Bar because the other items were for other people and they didn't share (so they must have been delicious). The iced chocolate is yummy. To clarify, this isn't your run of the mill chocolate milk. This is more like melted chocolate over ice. It's very rich and chocolate-y (duh), but I appreciate it's unique-ness. I've had something similar to this one other time, at a similar confectionery store at Disney Springs in Orlando, FL. The S'mores Bar is exactly how it sounds, but similar to the iced chocolate, I appreciate it for what it is, and it satisfied my need for what is typically a camping exclusive snack without having to go camping...or going to the woods...or the mosquitos.

Joe S.

Yelp
Wonderful service and amazing, yummy chocolate. They even had the viral Dubai Chocolate.
google avatar

Ble H.

Yelp
This place has one of the best vegan chocolates I've ever tried. Super impressed to the point where I bought more online from them. They lose 1 star for asking for letting their retail machine ask for default tips on buying packaged chocolate. Tipping culture has gone way too far. You should not need to decline a tip when buying a bar of chocolate. Insanity.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Beautiful to look at and flavors are insanely scrumptious. Truffles are already an art itself, but the simple yet elegant designs on these truffles bring it all together. I love that you can customize each box to your preference. I can't say I have a favorite because I like them all! The kollar krack is another mouth watering treat. Think of it like pop rocks mixes with chocolate. I love to get the strawberry flavor sometimes to have with champagne, but because I don't drink champagne as often the regular flavor is my go to. Pro-tip- look at the "flops" basket near the register. These are the truffles that don't meet the high standard of looks so they pack a few in a baggie and sell them at a discount. They don't look that bad and the taste isn't affected. Check this place out if you are thinking about it and order a few more than you think you want because like potato chips...you can't eat just one!
google avatar

Dana K.

Yelp
We got 4 truffles: - whiskey: love this. Didn't care for the hard shell chocolate cover. Liquor and chocolate marry each other perfectly, nothing overpower anything, smooth and decadent. - Lavender and bergamot: pretty sure they use artificial flavorings instead of the real thing. Both have strong chemical taste that do not blend in well with the chocolate. - wine truffle maybe. Unremarkable. I already forgot about it.

Yelp
Great find. Gelato and chocolates in the heart of Yountville. Can't go wrong. The easy parking is a plus.
google avatar

Pranjali S.

Yelp
Super interesting chocolate shop with some complex flavors in chocolate making. You can make your own box or pick up some of the prepackaged stuff they have. You can also watch them making chocolate. They have gelato and coffee too. We got the matcha/yuzu, dark chocolate zinfandel, orange grand marnier with dark chocolate, raspberry with milk chocolate, milk choc with fennel pollen, espelette chili with dark chocolate and the poppy saffron white chocolate bar. In descending order of likes, fennel pollen, orange grand marnier, raspberry best. Then we liked zin, chilli and matcha because I hated the matcha (and I LOVE matcha tea and ice cream but the yuzu wasn't working) and liked the chocolate in the Zin and the chili but didn't really taste the Zin or much of the chili. The poppy bar is a MUST. It's a delight to look at and to eat, very interesting flavors!!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
We stumbled across this place as we walked around v marketplace! We needed coffee, and decided to try cold brew with chocolate milk. The cashier said people do not usually ask for that but she said it might be good! We can confirm that it's really good and highly recommended if you want to try something different! We also tried the matcha Yuzu and earl grey tea chocolates, both pretty and tasty! Would definitely come back to try others!
google avatar

Celine F.

Yelp
This place gets one star less than perfect only because the customer service was awful. I buy these chocolates online and look forward to every seasonal offering. I'm like a Kollar chocolate fangirl And always tell friends they are the only chocolates I buy online to send to people as a gift. Thought originally they were in Napa, but found out they were 18 minutes from there and made the drive today only to show up and have customer service be really short with the attitude of hurry up and go. I'll continue to order online and never make a special trip there again
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Always nice to see such fabulous creations and very delectable chocolates. California Kollar roll is back for a limited time.
google avatar

Rachelle P.

Yelp
First step into this little shop and I notice the Chef Kollar who makes these highly quality artisan chocolates has a sign posted saying he is 1 of the top 10 chocolatiers in North America, that's pretty amazing! Upon walking up to their display case I get an woof of dark chocolate that instantly awakens my senses and I know what I want, their 72% Dark Chocolate Ganache Truffle! As I began to taste this decadent chocolate, it started to slowly melt in my mouth, I was in heaven with each bite, mmm!! I would highly recommend stopping into this chocolate shop that serves ice cream and chocolate drinks as well, with both helpful and sweet staff! I'll be back for more dark chocolate as an occasional treat, since it's healthier and delicious!
google avatar

Carolyn L.

Yelp
If you're in the Yountville area, you have to check out Kollar Chocolates! My family and I love this chocolate shop! They have a variety of chocolate truffle flavors from Coffee Kahlua to Matcha Yuzu to Passionfruit! My favorite is the Red Wine! The Red Wine flavor is Napa Valley Zinfandel and dark chocolate ganache! Their chocolates are super rich and flavorful. They also have drinks, chocolate bark, and gelato!
google avatar

Alejandra D.

Yelp
We stopped here as part of our Yountville Food & wine Tour. The shop is small but cute. You can see them making the chocolates from the outside through the window. We tried 2 truffles, a passion fruit one and the famous fennel chocolate. I'm not a truffle snob, so my standards are low and the chocolates were good. The fennel one was green and looked too pretty to eat! After the tour, we came back to get a coffee and try the gelato. We also got 10% off from being w/the tour. I was disappointed in their coffee options. I ordered a latte but they have no flavorings whatsoever, so I could forget about getting a caramel latte. They don't even have a basic simple syrup. Maybe because they don't want any other flavors to interfere with their chocolates if you pair them together? The gal pointed me to the little table set-up w/sugar packets - which I ended up using because my coffee has to be sweet & creamy. The spumoni gelato was delicious and had a crunch to it, so I appreciated the different textures.
google avatar

Catherine N.

Yelp
Bonbons are sort of weekly luxury for me, so I love trying new flavors whenever I can. Kollar is located in a small market place in Yountville and is the perfect spot to pick up gifts after dining at TFL air wine tasting in the area. They have delicious flavors like Dang Hazy (hazelnut praline) or egg nog! The shells are perfectly thin and crisp, with luscious fillings. The staff was also super helpful and friendly, so we couldn't resist coming in a second time to pick up extra treats! We came home with around $50 of chocolates, all which are so delightful to try!
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
I can't think of a better stop after some wine tasting all day, then a gelato and some hot chocolate from a chocolate shop. I always like to think and hope that a chocolate shop could put out some mean hot chocolate, don't you think? The hot chocolate wasn't too bad, not as deep Lee rich as I had hoped and wanted. It was a little bit watery, but that's normal for most hot chocolate. The best hot chocolate is when you take real chocolate, lots of it and melt it down and then add milk. Still the chocolate helped to counter act the dryness of the red wines I've tasted all day.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
This place is in a building I could see being easily be mistaken as a random building next to a parking lot. I definitely didn't know the place existed, until I saw the doors were open and they had a sign for an art gallery happening. Cute little place right as you enter the building- I'd say a hidden gem! Quick service and friendly staff! I came here for a quick pick me up of some cold brew coffee and their gelato, so I sadly cannot rate their chocolate. Cold brew: It was great and they asked if I wanted some creamer, which was fresh and served in their little creamer cup. You are able to put as little or much as you want, which was quite nice for someone who doesn't like a whole ton in mine. Strawberry gelato: Amazinggggg. I had to get their seasonal one, since it comes and goes. Nonetheless, it was very creamy and I could taste the strawberry very well. Definitely melted way too fast on a hot day, so I had eat it QUICK- still delicious, I just wanted it to last longer! The chocolates looked good and someone else ordered an affogato, which also looked VERY good, so I'll be updating once I get to try more on the menu!
google avatar

Lucy T.

Yelp
OMG I had the most amazing orgasmic chocolate! I had an iced chocolate drink with almond milk that was so good! It had the most amazing taste which makes my mouth water! I also had their dark chocolate truffles which had the most amazing flavor! Whenever I would take a bite it tasted like it was so fresh and made right there!
google avatar

Yelp
Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon 7/26 there were three workers facing the entrance in close proximity to us not one person greeted us at all! It was silence crickets, it felt so awkward!! I expected more from the great Yelp reviews, I expected at least a hello or a welcome in, good afternoon but not one person flinched. The lady behind the counter just stood there and stared at us. My husband looked up and started the conversation and asked for a box of 9 chocolates. The initial terrible interaction honestly made me want to walk out of there and not purchase anything. The chocolate tasted good, but for the price of 9 pieces of chocolate I expected much friendlier customer service. The owners should train their people, customers would be more likely to return and purchase more.
google avatar

Yelp
High end delicious chocolates for those who appreciate something a little bit better than a Hershey bar. The chocolates are more expensive than See's so savor each bite.
google avatar

Manda Bear B.

Yelp
If you are chocolate lovers, hurry up! If you are a gelato lover, this is a must visit. They offer a pop up right outside at the courtyard! Get a scoop, share with your pup. They will live you very much! Ask my Nugget Bear, poodle mix, she went cray for the vanilla bean, at 95 heat afternoon, I can surely take a break from wine tasting for a cold gelato any day!
google avatar

Joanna S.

Yelp
The chocolates here are beautiful, creative and yummy. I bought too many because I wanted to try a lot of different flavors. They are pricey, but hand made on the premises.
google avatar

Yelp
If everyone had customer service Like Kollar this world would be a better place. The chocolates are delicious. They have a variety of unique and creative flavors along with standard. If you are looking for something special try these chocolates.

Yelp
I am in Yountville a few times a year but am usually in line at Bouchon Bakery or trying out one of the restaurants. Even though it is just across the street from Bouchon, I have never been inside the V Marketplace until recently when I took my friend for her birthday in Yountville. Since we arrived early, she wanted to check out Kollar Chocolates which are artisan chocolates handmade on site. With a case full of different truffles that you can choose from, it goes a step beyond as they made an innovative chocolate sushi pack. Think rice crispy outside with a fruit pate and ganache filling and served with candied ginger on the side. This is not made everyday so if you have your heart set on it, call to confirm availability as it is normally made close to the weekend. The only thing that dropped a star for me is the sign for the sushi pack said it was a passion fruit filling which is what sold me on it but it turned out to be blood orange that week, so check the ingredients on the package itself to confirm before purchasing. At $25 for about 6-8 pieces, I would like to get what I paid for.
google avatar

Yelp
Best chocolates around! I've tried many chocolates around the Bay Area (other states as well) and these have to be my favorite! The designs are unique and the flavors are incredible!! No matter what the flavor is you get it in every bite. The coolest thing is you can actually watch the chocolatiers making them right there, how awesome! They also have gelato and coffee available all equally delicious. They even have iced drinking chocolate made with almond milk!!! If you are in the area I recommend you stop in and try something..if not one of everything!

Yelp
This cute chocolate shop is inside the V market place, neighbored by wine shops and art galleries. There is a small seating area enough for 4-6 people inside the shop but plenty of seating outside. Upon entry we were greeted by free samples, a passion fruit based and a rum based chocolate. The shop has a variety of products including lattes, hot chocolate, gelato and wrapped gifts. We got a six pack for $13. Our favorite picks were the passion fruit filled chocolate, lavender truffle, earl grey truffle, coffee kahlua, white chocolate ganache and yuzu gel, and sunflower ganache. The artwork on the chocolates is also so beautiful almost difficult to eat!
