Hands down, this is the best resort to stay at in all of Kauai! The property is immaculate, and it has the best pool you could ever imagine! My kids never wanted to leave the pool, even to go to the beach! The staff and management were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are extremely spacious, well appointed with high-end Wolf appliances and nice upgrades everywhere, and was better than I could’ve imagined. The balcony and views absolutely made it feel like paradise. It truly did make our family vacation the best we have ever had! I will certainly be back and I highly highly highly highly highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone. I hope you get a chance to enjoy all of its greatness, it will make your vacation truly one of a kind and one to remember!

Had an amazing stay at this terrific on Kauai. We were celebrating a milestone birthday for my wife so we splurged and booked a 3 Bedroom Villa for the family. It was awesome! The well furnished unit had a full kitchen, great living room and dining area plus a wrap around balcony. The staff was exceptionally well trained and full of the Aloha Spirit to please. We will definitely return and look forward to another great stay.

We spent 3 nights here after 5 nights in Maui. Our room in Maui left much to be desired and Koloa Landing did not disappoint. Nani at the front desk could see how stressed I was from our Maui stay and was able to put us into 2bedroom unit on highest floor facing ocean. It was unbelievable. Two king beds, two bathrooms, two|Balconies, big washer and dryer. Room is well maintained. No issues at all. Would have stayed there a week!|My 10 and 13 year olds loved the pool complex. So much to do and pool is in pristine condition. I am a a pool snob and this was clean. Chairs filled up early but there is another family pool that you can use. Beach access is not near hotel but you can drive to Poipu Beach and see turtles.|We ate at the restaurant twice and it was great both times. Drinks were reasonably priced and strong. ||We will try to come back and spend more time in Kauai!

We enjoyed our stay at Koloa Landing! The resort was beautiful and pools were fun for the kids. Everyone who works there was super welcoming and friendly. We had amazing meals at the various restaurants just minutes away. The hotel also offered nice meals at its restaurant- I particularly enjoyed our final breakfast on the last day (which was our first day eating breakfast at the resort restaurant). The French toast was so good and unique. We took advantage of the grab and go and cafe food at the little cafe onsite most days for breakfasts/lunches. The rooms were nice.

Our party of 9 spent a week here in 2 and 3 bedroom apartments overlooking the family lagoon pool. It was like having a private pool! While the main pool had lots of fun options, the kids and adults enjoyed the quieter and less crowded family pool for most of our visit. Service was top notch across the property. Can’t say enough about the staff. Pools were spotless and well maintained, towels plentiful. Apartments were comfortably and beautifully furnished and immaculate. Landscaping was beautiful. Our family enjoyed complimentary ukulele lessons, a s’mores party, and a family soccer game on the soccer field. Holoholo Grill has delicious and fairly priced options for everyone. Off site restaurants were plentiful and walkable. Parking is complimentary and near the rooms. Registering and checking out was organized and a breeze. The convenience of the little market off the lobby was welcomed and helpful. We had stopped at Costco on the way in for food, and were happy to learn that we could donate to the food bank any unopened, non perishable items at check- out. We appreciated the resort’s thoughtful planning that provided such a comfortable and luxurious “home” for our extended family’s vacation.

This was a beautiful, family friendly resort. We felt so welcomed and comfortable through our whole stay. Every person we encountered from the welcome to housekeeping was so friendly and helpful. Lots of food choices for children, as well as great options for adults. The pool was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back someday.

Google
We had an amazing time at this resort. The main pool is fantastic with 3 different levels. There are two slides, one is larger around 50’ - 75’. It’s open from 11a to 5p. The smaller one is just 8’ and is open all day with the pool until 10p. Staff are great and they even clean your dishes! Don’t forget to tip. The QR code tipping does not go directly to your housekeeper. It gets shared with all the staff FYI.

Overall good resort for families. Pool was great, location was good. Rooms were clean but not often serviced. We had to request towels everyday and have the room's trash taken out. Front desk was very helpful accommodating us during check-in. Thank you .||Other than the rooms not being serviced , good overall and would recommend to others.

Yelp
Joslyn at the @holoholo pool bar went out of her way us with condiments our 2 year old needed. We so appreciated her expediting the condiments to keep her from a complete meltdown. Mahalo Nicky at the pool bar was very friendly and knew we were famished after a long flight! She expedited our order and just give kiddos to the back kitchen staff. The food hit the spot!!!

Yelp
For the second half of our Honeymoon we flew into Kauai for 5 nights, and chose to revisit the Koloa Landing Resort as a sort of vacation from the first half of our vacation, and while it was rainier and windier than our previous visit, we still enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a one bedroom villa identical to our last stay. The villas are comfortable, and include a balcony with outdoor seating, full kitchen, dining area, living area, washer, dryer, shower and toilet in one room, and separated room and counter and sink with a bathtub. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The villas are probably some of the nicest I've ever stayed in. The Holoholo Grill located on site is still a gem, and the staff, particularly Nicky, and Dustin who we'd met during our previous stay and were pleased to see again, and Limar and Anthony who we met during this stay, really make staying at the Koloa Landing even more worthwhile. They are friendly, provide excellent customer service, banter, and drink, food, and even excursion recommendations available on site, and in the surrounding area. The villas really make you feel like you're staying at your own home, and the staff at the Holoholo grill make you feel like Hānai, or second family. We'll miss Kauai, the resort, but it's the people who make this place special most of all.

Yelp
Update: This might be the corniest, most dad-style update I have ever written. The main reason being that we made some very real friendships here last year, and the staff here have gone out of their way to connect with us online, to get to know our family, and to become a part of our network over the following months. We are officially back, on Day 6 of a 10 day visit. And we are so, so incredibly happy that we were able to make it. Same exact employees and staff. Same exact attention to every little detail. Same perfection and care for all of the little things that makes this place so magical, and such a good financial value for parents, kids, and everyone in between. It's like we never left, honestly. And I mean that very sincerely as someone who also works in hospitality and understands how rare a commodity that is. Our older boy is now 10, and has been able to enjoy the full kid-friendliness and safety conscious environment offered by the resort, all on his own. And our younger, Autistic boy has been able to vibe and thrive just as if we were visiting with cousins back home. The folks here have helped us to become "Kaui professionals" in the sense that they've guided us to every possible cost-friendly place and activity on the island, and they've been so kind and helpful about helping us take our little one to inclusive, safe-spaces for special needs kids. I am so in love with Koloa Landing, as is my wife. This place is now a permanent part of our family network. If you have kids, and the ability to do so, I highly recommend this place on every possible level. You will absolutely not regret it

Yelp
Three weekends ago, Koloa Landing Resort was the location for my cousin's wedding ceremony, reception, and most of the family's hotel reservations were also booked here. The wedding ceremony was a Hawaiian Style outdoor event, and wedding reception was held inside the ballroom. Fabulous time with family and friends, lots of memories, excellent hotel staff, hotel room, and very beautiful hotel grounds. Me and my other half stayed 3 nights for this occasion, we both enjoyed our stay. Wedding Block Group Rate was offered if booking was at least a minimum of 3 nights and had to have been booked prior to April 27, 2024. Since this wedding affair was about a year in the making, I booked a King Room which included a Sofa bed with Island view and Balcony. This room was huge, not as huge as the bride and groom's room. But our room had a kitchenette and a washer/dryer. Upon check-in at the hotel, we immediately noticed how beautiful the hotel lobby looked, self parking, greener than green hotel grounds, and was told that they were voted Best Swimming Pool in America 4 Years in a Row! Once we got into our hotel room, I have to make sure water is running, lights are functioning, TV can turn on, air conditioning is cold, bed is made, towels are folded, closet is empty. Then I found a small box of chocolate macadamia nuts and bottles of water on the coffee table, nice touch. The whole entire stay was comfortable and relaxing as this was our first time staying at this hotel also attending a wedding at the same time. Checking out was simple and easy. Seems like will be staying here again in the future, we both got a nice impression of Koloa Landing Resorts. Pro's: - The layout of the rooms are clean and simple. Balcony overlooking either a garden with a partial view of the ocean. Bathroom fully furnished with extra towels. Extra toiletries, coffee maker, kitchenette, and other items can be easily obtained upon request. Excellent and knowledgeable hotel staff. The resort is centrally located in Poipu, and the driveway into the hotel is positively serene. Con's: - I honestly can't think of anything except the nearby beach isn't the safest beach to swim in, but the swimming pool definitely makes up for it with two water slides, cabanas, and restaurant on location. Pro Tip: Marriot Bonvoy points to accumulate from staying at this property.

Yelp
We loved koloa landing resort perfect location close to so many beaches and restaurants the rooms were perfect if you're traveling with families like us and the pool is super kid friendly the staff is so friendly and attentive and they have so many amenities We will definitely be back

Yelp
We felt the Aloha from the moment we got there and the resort is beautiful! Our ocean view room was comfortable and spacious and the bathroom, especially the shower, was also pretty big. We want to point out Carla, an amazing young lady that served us breakfast at the Holoholo Bar and Grill. She's a real gem! They offer Kama'aina room rates and discount at Holoholo, which we really appreciated. Even though we only stayed one night for a little weekend getaway, we can definitely recommend the Kōloa Landing Resort. Mahalo nui to the whole team, and until next time :) Aloha!

Yelp
Koloa Landing was awesome! Had a great experience there with everything. Very accomodating to all needs and loved the pool! #bestpool. The staff were exceptional as well. Really loved all the help that Dreana and Resa gave to us and our party down at the pool at the snack shack! Thanks Everyone!

Yelp
This resort is gorgeous, comfortable, and well located. The grounds have multiple pools and walking trails with nearby shopping and dining, some of which is in easy walking distance. My favorite thing is the gym, which proved to be an extremely comfortable place to work out. There's water, snacks, and lavender-infused towels to wipe the sweat from your face. My biggest criticism is the lack of dining options in the resort itself. While some of the food at poolside dining is delicious, some is average, and all of it is expensive.

Yelp
Can not recommend Koloa Landing enough. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the rooms are lovely. We had 15 people over a week long stay. We got two, 3-bedroom layouts and had an incredible time.

Yelp
This review will be worth the read. I promise. Accommodations: We booked through Costco. Our villa was in building 7, close (but not to close) to the largest pool on the property. We had a one bedroom with 1 bath and a pullout couch. This was perfect for a family of 5. The kitchen had utensils and great appliances. You will need to bring your own food, confinements and spices though. There is a washer and dryer which was so clutch for our family (bring your own detergent). I cannot recollect hearing neighbors inside my room either. They offer room cleaning on request but if you forego daily cleaning and get it every 3 days you can get points or a resort credit. Pools: The pool is amazing. First, there are at least 3 pools on the property. The largest one was voted best pool in America and I agree. It has something for everyone! It's maximum 5ft deep with areas for babies to adults. In the large pool there are 2 hot tubs and they are large. There is a waterfall with a grotto/cave feature that kids love. The pool temperature adjust and although it's cold at first, you will acclimate. In the evenings the pools are slightly warmer Food: the restaurant onsite offers great pool side service, and is also a sit down restaurant. It is a little pricey but the service is spectacular. We loved every bartender we had. There are many other great places into eat around town so Yelp or YouTube food spots. This hotel is dope. The service is excellent, the amenities are great and they have thought of almost everything...even umbrellas...lol... What really sold my husband and I was when our 5yr old was injured. Unfortunately he fell and hit his head. It was pretty traumatic. He bled quite a bit and needed stitches (shot out to Dr Poog at the urgent care down the street). The team checked on us that night by stopping by, called the next day to check in again and left him a sweet plush toy with a note later on that night. It was such a thoughtful and genuine gesture. my son loved it and has parents we appreciated the intention. This was our first time in Kauai and stay at Koloa landing was one of the best decisions we made. We really loved and appreciated our time there. The stay was comfortable and the pool was excellent.

Yelp
Everything was spectacular The pools are amazing and kids love the slides The customer service was phenomenal from every employee at the resort

Yelp
We had an incredible 8 night stay at this resort. We enjoyed the kitchen and laundry facilities in our room! As well as a great fourth floor view of the adult pool & island cats / roosters out our window! Location is perfect. Walking around the hotel grounds is comfortable and beautiful with all the plants & flowers. The different pool options are great, as we chose a quiet pool instead of the busy loud pool. The gym is very nice!! Appreciated the water & snacks provided. Also appreciated the birthday treat given as we were celebrating! The opportunity areas would be more comfortable beds / new mattresses & better on site food options - but again the location is so close to other restaurants we were okay with it!

Gabriela ..

Yelp
The pool here is so much fun with waterfalls and slides but the service is outstanding. We spent nearly a week here and never encountered any staff that was less than happy to help. Dreanna and Rylan were super helpful getting us settled into the cabana we reserved. The cabana has a TV, ceiling fan, mini fridge stocked with water, 2 chairs, and a huge chaise lounge that could be made into regular seating and long ottoman. Jocelyn was also exceptionally attentive as our cabana server. She checked on us regularly to make sure we enjoyed our cabana experience.

Yelp
Update: Stay was "okay" at best, but their marketing efforts after have been incredibly invasive, while simultaneously demonstrating incompetence. They've texted me many times (even after I told them to stop). Additionally, they write emails asking for high scores on their pool... desperate much?!?! If you want to be a highly-regarded resort... perhaps start acting with a little class... I'm truly embarrassed for their management team... the Hyatt wouldn't do crap like this!!

Yelp
I hadn't been here since they renovated a few years back and it's now my favorite resort EVER!! I have a degree in Hotel/Resort Management and I was amazed at every point of interaction here. The staff was amazing! I brought my parents here to celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary and Lixie from Front Desk surprised my parents with a gift basket of goodies. The 1 bedroom (I slept on the pull-out couch of course ) Villa we stayed in was so nice! Full kitchen, full washer and dryer, separate rooms for bathtub and shower. The full washer and dryer came in clutch. I also liked the free and the abundance of parking right next to our Villa. The coconut shrimp at HoloHolo Grill was fire and the cocktails were (Koloa Tai!). The entire property was wonderfully curated. I low key loved the huge front lawn space where the you could just lay out in the soft grass. The pools are literally the best designed pools I've seen integrated within a resort. If you're looking for a more romantic setting I would probably caution a bit as there were a lot of children running around. Maybe visit during school season instead! Lol All in all a wonderful experience staying at KLR. Def on the pricier side but I think it's warranted given the quality of rooms and amenities, pool, free classes, etc.

Yelp
This water slide was a blast and Resa was so friendly and helpful while keeping everyone safe! The two turns made it exciting , and the 21 steps made the climb a little workout. The ride was short and refreshing. Definitely recommend for moderate thrill-seekers!

Yelp
Even single thing about it! Customer service, cleanliness and quality of amenities. We cannot wait to return.

Yelp
Stayed here last month, and overall it was a 4 star experience for us. LOOOOOOOVE how large and spacious our 1 bedroom villa was, with the full kitchen and washer and dryer too. Parking was just a couple minutes' walk away, which isn't bad at all compared to other resorts. I loved the scent of the toiletries here too. :) The downside is that the washer was insanely loud - and fridge was also loud when it was running. The sleeper sofa was unprepared - no sheets, pillows, blankets - and when I called down the front desk, they simply sent us the sheets and stuff for us to make the bed. I didn't come on vacation to set up bedding. The pools here are of course outstanding. I do wish there was a snorkeling beach nearby, but there's one not too far away (just not really walkable with gear and stuff).

Yelp
Can't recommend this resort enough. The place is beautiful, has a lot of amenities and has the best pool in the US (literally), with waterfalls, slides, hot tubs and an infinity pool section. The entire experience from check in, room service, pool, food was fantastic. The staff is friendly and ready to help. This is one of the places where I didnt have to call room service for something that the room was running short on. The service was proactive. Also, the resort is fairly close to Poipu beach and is located in the dry part of the island, which means it was mostly sunny even when it was pouring in Hanalei (northern part of Kauai). I would definitely stay here again when I visit Kauai in future.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at Koloa Landing in April with pretty high expectations, and they exceeded those expectations. I'll fully admit that we didn't take full advantage of most of the amenities that were available to us, but this stay was one of the highlights of our trip (stayed at a few different hotels in different locations). We absolutely loved the washer and dryer units in the room, which made cleaning up after a hike a breeze and actually made it very nice to return home with clean laundry! The tranquility pool was well used. We're not bothered by kids playing in the pool, but since we weren't traveling with any, we used the tranquility pool to sit out and read. Such a peaceful and quiet setting. The room was clean, updated and spacious. The grounds were beautiful. While not on the beach, they made up for this by having incredible pool options. It'll be tough to stay somewhere else the next time we visit Kauai.

Michael V.

Yelp
.- Slippery trails to the pool, it sometimes rains and without a good grip on your shoes you might end on the ground. Dangerous for older people .- Housekeeping wasn't steady, it felt like you had to remind them after leaving room to do housekeeping. .- restaurant food, decent!

Tony C.

Yelp
Our server at the pool was exceptional! She was friendly and constantly checking on us! Next time you're at the pool, look for Star if you want the best service!!

Yelp
Brenna and Shay were awesome on this busy thanksgiving holiday greeting us with a big smile and helping us find chairs in the shade. A great group of employees and it made our day being treated so kindly when they are working on the holiday

Yelp
Kudos to Koloa Landing for taking immediate action with us to remedy the situation. It is a shame it came at the tail end of our vacation and truthfully, it still sucks experiencing such a headache on what's supposed to be a relaxing vacation. But I commend the hotel for trying to make things right. With that, I would definitely consider returning to the property on my next trip to Kauai if there were no major events happening at the hotel. The days without events were bliss and I hope their future event days take into consideration this feedback to make a seamless experience for future guests.

Yelp
OMG one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed at. Stellar customer service the whole week - lots of Aloha spirit here Stunning ground and pools - near everything - local mall, coffee food truck, beach. Our 2 bed room condo was gorgeous and opulent Highly highly recommend!

Yelp
Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu is a beautiful resort, at a prime location that has your bases covered when you are traveling and need more than just your basic "hotel" offerings. To preface my review, I had banked up years of miles from work travel and finally decided to cash in and did TONS of research on hotels over in Kauai before landing on this one and I'm so glad that I chose to commemorate a milestone here as this resort was the smoothest part of my trip. To start, it's close (roughly half an hour) from the Lihue airport, right by the famous Poipu beach. It has plenty of parking spaces, one onsite restaurant, Holo Holo Grill, a spa, a little marketplace that offers coffees and baked goods, huge pools, and a gym (along with weekly events and fitness classes you can sign up for while you're here). A few call outs re logistics, the Holo Holo grill hours were open "late" (e.g., 7 AM) and closed early (like 9 PM ish?) compared to other resorts I've stayed at which had better options to accommodate for early birds and late night arrivals. Regarding cleaning services, they come every three days for a full cleaning but do daily trash and towel refresh which is nice. You can also ask them for extra supplies that you need as you go if you run out which I did, and they were more than accomodating. The best part about this resort was the rooms because I booked the most "basic" room, the deluxe studio and it came with a basic kitchenette and a full-size washer and dryer which was the biggest appeal for me to stay here as all you will probably agree that the trick to traveling light calls for being able to launder your clothes for longer trips along with being able to cook your own meals instead of always relying on restaurants or coffee shops can be such a much-needed break. The ability to eat and cook simple meals in my room and wash my clothes as much as I needed was the game changer of staying here, especially with consideration to the hours that the restaurants around us also operated on. This location can be a little tough if you're not really able to walk to the beach or the nearby shops, but they offer a shuttle service to the nearby area (if they're available) which helps, but given Kauai's infrastructure, you're better off just renting a car otherwise you'll feel pretty "stuck" on the resort unless that's your goal! I tried to ask for a late check-out which they weren't able to accommodate due to other bookings which was fine but I was surprised how high the fee was to have a later checkout than noon (they quoted me at 175$ USD for an additional four hours alone) which was disappointing given I've been able to always get later check-outs at other Marriott associate resorts and hotels for no additional fees. All things considered, I had a great experience and stay here and would not only stay here again, I would recommend it to others if their goal is to be by a great beach, shopping areas, and snorkeling opportunities.

Yelp
There are a lot of great things about this resort! The checking in was quick, staff was friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the pool was amazing and the rooms were clean and fully furnished (kitchen was fully stocked with supplies). The resort is in a great location, walking distance from many restaurants and stores. Even walking distance to the luau we went to! The reason why I couldn't give 5 stars is because I would have liked the check in time to be at least an hour earlier than 4pm(I just feel 4 is a little late to check in) and the only other thing is the poolside servers(although very friendly) are not very fast and it was easier for my husband and I just to walk over to the bar and get our own food and drinks. Over great experience!

Yelp
We loved our stay at Koloa Landing. We got a 2 bedroom Suite for our family of four and it was very spacious with a large lanai (first floor). The unit comes with a full kitchen and washer and dryer which was used daily after our pool and beach visits. There are three pools on this property although we mostly stayed at the main one with the slide for the kiddos, but the other two will suit your needs if you want something quieter. Holoholo Grill is the one restaurant on the property with very tasty food and there is poolside service as well. The resort is perfectly sized where you don't get lost nor have to come hours ahead for a pool chair. There is a full gym on site and they offer some fitness classes through the week. The service at the resort is top notch and they can communicate to you via text messages and they are quick to respond. The maid service comes every 3 days for a full cleaning and a daily trash and towel refresh. If you want to take care of the trash and towels yourself, the resort will credit you with Marriot points or you can choose a $25 resort credit a day. The resort is walking distance to the beach and there are beautiful views everywhere. I have not one negative criticism of this resort and we will be staying here our next visit to Kauai.

Yelp
Awesome!! I'll lead with that!! Let's start with the pool, which I think is the highlight here!! I constantly saw signs saying this pool was voted best pool in America, yes, I can definitely see that!! The pool has levels, top is the infinity pool, next level you get to a decent sized water slide, which leads to a smaller water slide and the bottom level. There are 2 big hot tubs, waterfalls, just a lot going on. I never even made it to the adult pool cause this was the place to be. The rooms are great also!! Every room comes with a kitchen, either a mini kitchen or full kitchen, fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Every room also has a washer and dryer for your clothes, to me, that was one of the highlights. And they give you complimentary washing powder. This resort is pretty big, so it took me a minute to find my bearings and find everything. The Holoholo Grill is the only restaurant here, very good food, drinks and great, friendly service. Also, this seems to be the unofficial meeting place for most people. The lobby is great, there's always complimentary tea and water there, and also Leis and beads. It's also a short walk down to the beach, walking distance to a nearby shopping center, a 24 hour fitness center, and a small marketplace. I came here for a friends wedding, and we all thought this place was fantastic, had a great time here!!

Traci W.

Yelp
We had an awesome anniversary trip! The resort is absolutely beautiful & the pools are fabulous & amazing. It was exactly the relaxing & pampering trip we were hoping for. I'd like to send a special shout out to Megan (@ the front desk) for going above & beyond to try & make our trip special & extra memorable. In todays time, it feels harder & harder to find people who go out of their way to exceed one expectations simply for the purpose of being altruistic. Megan was a big pleasant surprise to us & we truly appreciate her!!

Yelp
Our room was 2600 ft.²! We had the beautiful botanical gardens as our backyard with 100% privacy. This was the perfect home away from home! To top it off Chris at the spa there was amazing! Unfortunately, we got sick at the tail end of the stay and an urgent care was right next-door that took care of all our needs. Shopping was right there as well! The Merriman's restaurant just a mile away was the most amazing food!Perfect location for the beach. I

Where does one begin... I was here in Sept 2023, and it seemed OK ( not spectacular by any stretch..) so I returned in October 2024.... 1. Front desk agent was livid that I came In To check in...there was nobody in the lobby other than me...she had to put her phone down as I interrupted text discussions. I actually think I will start using the app to check in so I can avoid the nastiness. ( and perhaps it's time to upgrade to AI check in..) 2. The room/property is quite dated..., the rooms are so early 90s hard to believe that an Autograph can still hold the status..., while the room(s) still has a coffee machine from the early 90s, mine as expected , didn't work at all. So it's a broken product placed in the room to use...really cool IF the vibe your are looking for is (partial) Retro, which may actually organically just happen if they keep their current decor. ( pretty much everywhere) I digress. I was Embarrassed for the room...to even consider placing something as outdated as a 90s non working coffee machine in a guest room, but here we are. Oh and speaking of decor, The chargers on (also 90s ) lamps which look like they belong in the Southwest, several outlets don't work. But at this point that's minor and to be expected of something that looks so outdated for this type of hotel.. 3. I asked the front desk agent only one thing , since she was so upset I came in to check in ... to place me in a room with a washer AND dryer, I had this set up Last year, it was a big plus.., so naturally given this experience...I was given the opposite of what I asked for, the Combo washer /dryer , which left me clothes damp when I was checking out....takes time to dry clothes in combos...but I had to check out. 4. The breakfast , I was there around 7 am, there were 3 occupied tables including mine... Between the time I sat down and the time I was asked what I would like to order, 15 minutes went by, yes not even an ice water. But, there were MUCH more interesting things happening at the restaurant ...the entire staff was heavily engaged in personal story telling and making fun of others. Literally heard the entire deep discussion bc they were so loud. I finally got my coffee around 7.30...again just coffee and my avocado sandwich arrived at 7.50 am.. ohh! And my fave as far as absolute lack of Any professionalism, was when the waitress referred to me as "hon"... again super cool if it's the Retro rebranding you are looking for. Felt quite Diner, actually. 5. Since I'm an elite member , I asked for 2 o'clock check out. This is when I was lectured by the operator that it doesn't mean much against availability...It is difficult for me to believe my one room being pushed to 2 pm was going to absolutely skew all hotel operations. The irony...multiple mentions were made that the cleaning crew was available from 9 to 5, but at this point I expected no less .... 6. My breakfast was to get $ credit since I'm an elite member, so naturally I was charged for it, when I called to ask to adjust , I was given a Speech by the agent that it applies to dinner..., I got in around 9.30 pm Wasn't gonna start eating at 10 pm...the agent said I can use it for breakfast during my check in... Absolutely will never stay here again, and will be sure to let everyone I know not to come anywhere near this place. I stayed at the Autograph on the Big Island, NOW that's an Autograph! Next to the level of professionalism and customer service, Koloa Landing doesn't qualify for the status. It's some kind of a misunderstanding Koloa holds a luxury status at all. Only 2 positives, Bellman who helped me with my luggage was a very pleasant individual. The pool is great as long as you don't have 150 children screaming as you're trying to swim. For quiet and smaller crowd, night swimming is great. I did it last year, it's a very nice experience. I really hope the Owners of this hotel will actually read this review. That's who needs to see what's happening. Anyway, we'll never return , and certainly hope you guys will embrace AI much sooner than later, so guests dont have to experience so much unprofessionalism, and employees no longer have to work in ( very basic) hospitality they seem to know nothing about. (Certainly no aloha here, but didn't expect such an elevated experience after the chilly check in) If you've never been to Kauai, highly recommend many amazing wonderful properties where people are very pleasant. I have been to several properties on Kauai. I have met fantastic employee, and had lovely experiences. This wasn't it .

Yelp
Beautiful yet somewhat disappointing. We checked in to our first 1 bedroom villa which by first appearance looked amazing ; but by the first evening we had a small roach in our kitchen and the washer was still full of someone else's hair. There were other things I noticed with cleanliness as well. They offered a small credit and to move us rooms, which they did, across the property with a side view of the trash area behind the ballroom, so we almost always had a wafting smell of something nasty. Only one restaurant on property and you cannot order room service until Noon, so forget it if you want breakfast in your room one morning. There is no immediate beach access; just a FYI. Location is great though and close to shops and other restaurants by a long walk or short drive. I liked that they offered free lei making, ukulele and then some other classes for a fee. My daughter and I did a painting class we enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchen and washer and dryer in the room. Spacious enough for us and our two teenagers. Housekeeping is only every third day; in between is just towel refreshing. (Another thing to be aware of).

Yelp
This is my all time favorite spot to vacation! We've stayed there twice and and are trying to figure out how to make it back for a third time soon! The pool is amazing, so we'll kept, and great service. The spa staff are so perfect and make you feel so comfortable. The front desk hospitality staff are so helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable with great recommendations. And then all the great activities on top of it all is just the icing on the cake. I seriously can't say enough great things. Kauai is our favorite and we visit all the time but Koloa Landing is the by far the best place to stay in Poipu!

Yelp
Best vacation ever for our extended family of 16 with six kids!! I called in advance to get the lay of the land and Abby at the front desk was amazing and so helpful! Check-in was easy and our bags were in our villa before we even got there. The three bedroom villa in building 2 room 301 was immaculate and overlooked the laidback lagoon which also had two barbecues. Hawaiian Reggae music played throughout the main pool and lagoon, so you don't even need you own speaker. The kids loved the slide, the main pool and lagoon. Even though there isn't beach access, there's many nearby. Our favorites were Poipu Beach and Kiahuna Beach. Restaurants and shops were within walking distance and the on-site market and restaurant were great. This place has it all and I can't recommend this resort enough. We just got back to the states and I can't wait to go back next summer!

Yelp
Very relaxing location with great pools for kids. The water slides are fun when open.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong the hotel is fabulous! However... leaving the property gave very limited options unless you had a vehicle. Beach access was much further than anticipated. The shower was pretty awful. It did not look like it had been cleaned properly. The view was breathtaking from the lobby but cleanliness and access beyond the property definitely was something I was not expecting or happy about.

Yelp
This place. Words cannot describe how happy I was with it. We opted to get a two bedroom/2 bathroom villa. It was clean when we got there. There was enough space for all of us to spread out. I always prefer to get a place, when possible, with a laundry and kitchen. It saves food costs this way. The kitchen supplied a sponge and dish soap. There were also packages for the dishwasher as well as the washing machine. Other replenished items were coffee, tea, shampoo, soap, and conditioner. The pool was also really nice and we spent a couple afternoons there. The location is walking distance to some shops and restaurants, which is convenient. All service personnel we interacted with her kind and professional. If we opted to visit Kauai again, we would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This is a great resort for families! We got a 1 br 1 bath apt and it was Spacious! Fully stocked kitchen, LR, DR, 1 bathroom but almost like 2 with shower, toilet + sink in one and bathtub with two additional sinks off master, and washer and dryer! Great for drying those swimsuits or washing hiking gear! Better than airBNB! No cleaning fees!! We opted to not have maid service for a $50/night hotel credit (or you can get points if you are a Marriott member). Gorgeous grounds and the main pool is the best on the island. We went in April so it was a lil rainy and cooler in the evenings- which was great for when they had s'mores night. Beach access is a short walk away. TIP! The resort only has one restaurant. If you want to have dinner there, make reservations ahead of time.

Yelp
The first time we stayed at Koloa Landing Resort was back in November 2021 for our honeymoon. My husband and I loved it so much that we decided to come back with our 6 month old this past week (January-February 2023). I honestly can't see us staying anywhere else when we visit Kauai. It's true what they say, this place has the best pools for all ages. I love staying here and you won't regret it if you book here. During our most recent stay, they actually upgraded us to a two bedroom villa near the kiddie pool area. I will note that I am also a Marriott Bonvoy member so that might be the reason, might not but either way they really made our first trip with our baby boy that much more special. The rooms are pretty large. Our villa had a large kitchen, large dining area and living space. There were two bedrooms, one had a king size bed and the other a queen size bed. Two full baths and a large balcony. There's also a washer and dryer - perfect to wash those wet clothes before you pack it in the luggage. They also offer different activities throughout the week like lei making, yoga and other fun family activities. They have a market place for small things but if you don't see what you need from there, there's a Longs down the street. Big plus, on-site they have our favorite restaurant, Holoholo grill. From breakfast to dinner, if you don't want to go out and drive around, you can call room service. Overall, I really really enjoyed staying here and can't wait to come back with the rest of my family! Note: Pictures are from Nov 2021

Yelp
Great hotel. Great rooms. Great service. We were leaving the hotel by 7:30 AM and I wanted to see if I could still get free shaved ice for the scavenger hunt I did. An old man at the market desk gave me a card. But it turns out that the time frame that you could go down to the pool and turn in the card was 10:00AM - 6:00PM or something like that. I felt disappointed but the guy at the counter then told me that I could have a free stuffed chicken as a souvenir. I thanked him as many times as I could. Mind you this was $10.99 plus tax and a shaved ice is likely less than that. Aside from that situation the rooms were nice and the holoholo grill by the pool had good food. Came during thanksgiving and got to go to the thanksgiving dinner at the banquet hall which was alright. Both the main and the lagoon pool were nice. Never got the old man's name but all I know is he worked a Sunday morning.

Yelp
Koloa Landing Resort was the location of choice for my wife and I's honeymoon and they played an impactful part to making it an unforgettable experience. The rooms are very spacious and offer an breathtaking view from the balcony. The restaurant Holoholo grill is a walking distance from any building on the resort. It's a great place for local eats and they even have a full bar. The property itself is a walking distance to the ocean although there's not really a beach. Last but definitely not least, the pools here best set of pools that I've ever seen in my life. There's just so many filled with water slides, water falls, hot tubs, and even a secluded place for the adults. I've enjoyed this place so much that I'm actually writing this review a year later because we had to come for seconds. If you're in Kauai, you haven't experienced the island until you stayed here. This place gets the highest of my recommendations.

Yelp
After doing a Yelp search for nearby breakfast spots with good reviews, we decided to pay a visit to Koloa Landing Resort. Upon arrival, we checked in with the attendant who informed us that there was a 30-45 minute wait for a table (this translated to 1.5 hours because we were both starving). However, she quietly mentioned that there was no wait if we chose to sit at the bar (which was empty at the time). Thankful for this option, we elected to sit at the bar. When we arrived at the bar, we were warmly greeted by Jake (bartender). He quickly provided us with food and drink menus. We both opted for the Pork Hash, and ordered two MaiTais. We patiently awaited delivery of our food as we sipped on our deliciously refreshing MaiTais. Roughly 20 minutes later our food arrived. Accurate to Jake's suggestion, we both thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Hash. After devouring our food, we ordered another round of MaiTais and chatted with a couple sitting next to us. Jake did a superb job of working the now busy bar, be ensuring that he was attentive to everyone. We had absolutely no complaints. I suggest checking out this outdoor, poolside restaurant & bar if you're craving delicious food and drinks!

Yelp
This place is a dream! Staff were all very friendly. It's the perfect place to come back to after a day of adventuring Kauai. The food was good and no more expensive than the local restaurants. It's walking distance to beaches but also they have a shuttle that will take you anywhere in Poipu if you need. The room wasn't anything extra but it was a clean, nice space to relax so it worked for us! We booked the most basic room and it included a kitchenette and washer and dryer which came in handy. We skipped on house keeping and got a $25 credit to use each day which was a plus for us. This was our honeymoon so we splurged a little by staying here and it was absolutely worth it!

Yelp
Pros: looks nice, washer and dryer in room, small kitchenette, pretty pool with several hot tubs, very comfortable bed Cons: not on a beach, many loud annoying unaccompanied kids (like 9-12yr olds) in hot tub at night, the comfy bed doesn't matter when you're not allowed to sleep past 4am due to 2hrs of incessant rooster crowing. When we mentioned it to concierge we were understanding that they wouldn't be able to do much about the birds themselves but I figured that we can't be the only ones bothered by it so they must have some suggestion for a solution (earplugs, white noise machine, capture the birds idk...) .... But no. The front desk girl could not care less. I've had better service at a holiday inn in Thailand than here. I asked for a fan to generate white noise and she said she'd try to find one for us but suggested we go buy one from target!! and she never bothered to follow up. I called 5 hrs later just before bed to ask again and once I again, didn't hear back. I called again and was told they don't have fans. Worst customer service ever!! We can't be the first ones to complain about this so obviously they don't give a crap about their customers comfort or they'd have earplugs, white noise machines or fans for anyone who wants them. It would be such a small gesture that would show they're at least trying. We are SO frustrated that we are leaving our vacation more sleep deprived than when we arrived! For the price we paid for this room I expected much better service. Never returning. We also had a giant flying cockroach in the room despite keeping our door closed and no food left out, and again the front desk girl didn't even bat an eye... this must happen all the time and she's just so used to it. Anywhere there are a ton of places to stay on the island, I'd recommend finding a different hotel that cares about their customers. To Jessica Castillo, if you're genuinely interested in connecting please leave me your contact information otherwise I have no way to reach you.

Yelp
Exceeded our expectations in every way during an annual mother, 3 daughter trip to Kauai. Unfortunately our mom suffered a massive stroke while staying at Koloa Landing. Quiana, guest service manager, and her team worked with us to ensure all our needs were met between resort stay and time at hospital. We call them our aloha angels. Additonally, the grounds and pools are Hawaii perfect. Location excellent for meals and shopping. Only left to be closer to hospital. We are grateful for our lengthy stay at Koloa Landing.

Yelp
We had an excellent vacation at this superb property. My family and I have high expectations and this property exceeded our expectations/guidelines and hopes. We highly recommend. The pool is fantastic. Clean with lots of amenities. The staff is great. And I must make a special shout out to a few staff members that far exceeded our expectations: Dreana and Resa are wonderful and helpful. Very kind and friendly young ladies who offered great beach suggestions. Tin and Jordan at the pool booth were also great and helpful. I am especially indebted to Dreana because I am told that she is the person who recovered my brand new pink swim shirt and turned it in to Tin at the pool booth. I appreciate that as I had never worn it (brand new). I felt lucky and grateful. Our trip wouldn't have been possible without the assistance from the best concierge Kiana on site at the property. She was so informative. And Mary and Liese at the front desk were also lovely. These employees made our visit feel like home. Mahalo to the best staff and property. We plan to come back and visit in the future.

Yelp
Beautiful resort. Had a great stay here. Beware of pool servers. Actually, just don't use them. Go to the bar. Servers give minimal service (hourly rounds, maybe you'll get the drink you ordered, maybe you won't) and charge 20% regardless if you write down something else. It wasn't an accident, she left without collecting the book. I walked the check up to the bar after we watched our server walk off the property. Even if she didn't collect it, the ticket should have been transferred to another server and closed out with the correct amount. This was just straight up theft. 5 stars otherwise but will not be coming back.
