Kolonialen Bislett

"Close to the stadium you’ll find this popular neighbourhood bistro, which was previously a grocer’s shop for nearly 80 years. The concise, keenly priced menu includes oysters, cured meats and wholesome Norwegian classics that have been brought up-to-date. There’s a diverse selection of wines by the glass." - Michelin Inspector

Food is tasty. We had 4 dishes among us ! Tartare was good, parmesan soufflé with bisque (real bisque in aroma & taste) was very good. Then we shared fish and pasta! In my opinion main course is not the right amount, as it costs 3800 NOK per portion). No adequate space between tables . Service is pretty good and they mention what ingrédients have been used .

Very nice food, service, and location. The meny was full of surprises and loved all that was served. The wine meny was big, but a little complicated to ordere from and missing cava and prosseco. The selection of Italian wine was also limited.

I had a great time here with my friends. The place is nice, clean and cozy. The service was attentive and very professional. The waiters explained us all the food and the wine we were having. The food was delicious, balanced and full of umami! And the wines paired to the food were very good too. I will come back for sure

Great food with a menu that changes all the time. Very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant and a convenient location not too far from the centre of Oslo.

Kolonialen was my favourite restaurant in Oslo two years ago. Now it’s still good but not fantastic place as it was. I really love tartar with buckwheat popcorn, not with corn as it is served now.

Amazing place to eat! The staff is extremely friendly! They explained every detail of the food on the plate. A nice place to hang out. The food is delivious especially the herring and the brownie. Those are a must try! I liked the catch of the day, the oyster and the Chardonnay too!

One of the best restaurants I've been at Oslo so far. The quality and combination of flavours is great. The service was very good. Even though it was full, it has good acustic, you can enjoy a good chat without rising voice. Good variety of wines.

Not sure why such high reviews for this place. the food is bland, the menu is all over the place with no recurring theme or cuisine. and most importantly, the prices dont match what you’re eating. A lot of show for appearances, hipster menu with Biggie at the bottom, inside it looks like a NYC keith mcnelly restaurant. It is visually quite appealing. However, the food lacks a lot. The service is hit or miss, depending who you get. Some waiters are nicer than others. Honestly this place was sooo hyped to me and expectations were so high, while you can actually get cheaper better food at Olivia Hedgehausveien. (Yep, i am comparing you to a chain, thats how bad the food is). Wont be going back
