A very unique experience both in terms of the food, space and atmosphere.
It was just the chef working alone in the open kitchen, and 6 clients (us 3 and another 3) on the counter being served directly by the chef each of the course plates.
The first few entrees were the best. The pasta is homemade but to be honest was not my favorite texture and flavor wise, but nevertheless it was of great quality.
A lot of attention and care was being given to using of local seasonal ingredients, and local Japanese ceramics which were so delighting to eat from.
Overall, the flavors and ingredients were VERY Japanese, so more of an Italian cuisine I would say it’s a chef’s interpretating Italian ideas wish Japanese flavors and ingredients.
If you love Japanese food and want a unique and intimate experience- go for it! It felt very special.
