I love their tiger milk tea, The brown sugar syrup is rich and the boba is soft and chewy, just the right texture. It’s not overly sweet, and the flavor is well-balanced.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to! The food was flavorful, fresh, and came out quickly. The portions were big and very reasonably priced. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, this place is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Komodo is a very stereotypical Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. The menu here is slightly smaller than your run of the mill (Americanized) Chinese food joint, but with the added bonus of having a boba tea bar inside. They do a great job of keeping the interior neat and clean as well, a plus. That said? The food is mediocre to 'fine', depending on the day you go. The biggest issue is that most of what I've gotten in the past has been rather bland; there's not enough ginger, garlic or soy being used in the cooking, making dishes taste rather 'watered down'. Beef with broccoli and chicken with garlic sauce both tasted mostly of steamed vegetables, with the light glaze of sauce doing it no favors. Bubble tea here is decent! But IMO there's better places in town for food. Prices are fair, at least.

Came in right before closing and they still took my order with a smile. Super grateful for that! The food was fresh and tasty, way better than I expected at that hour. Definitely coming back again.

I did very enjoy the homemade egg rolls and freshness of chicken broccoli. The staff was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place.

My favorite Chinese that's close to home. The food never disappoints me. We don't order out often but I always try to make it komodo when we do. Can't win them all.

I truly cannot understand the amount of positive reviews for this place. I have never had such bland Chinese in my life. Maybe we had an off night but 3 bites into our meal the table all agreed to never go here again

I found a long piece of hair in my food. Like it was cooked well into it. The store said they cant refund because i ordered thru door dash. Doordash issued only a $4 doordash credit when that food item alone was well over $15

Visiting family we heard about this place having a great boba tea bar and pretty good food. What we heard was great and it turned out to be true! Awesome duck sauce! Good general tsoas. Good ribs. Great fried noodles. Okay not great not bad pork egg rolls. Great boba. Easy location in a plaza. Staff were nice enough

Yes! $9 still for a lunch special that's delicious, hot and comes with a soup or side still with todays highs prices I'll take it. One of my favorite Chinese spots to go to when I'm cravimg Chicken & Broc. I tell them just how I like it and it's perfect. I do recommend telling them your preference just so it's to your liking. Great service with floor seating or stool top and on top on serving Lunch , Appz or Dinner go check out the Boba

Tasty Spare Ribs! I've tried both boneless and regular (on the bone) and they're both great! I usually get my food to go, but the inside has some tables and you can eat there, even though it's not a large space. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make this place a definite Go To!

Let me just say that me and my wife used to like this place but after getting sick quite a few times from eating here, we've decided to never eat here again. After getting food poisoning one too many times, I have to wonder how sanitary this place is. Never again.

My personal opinion was the food was blah. First off the website was impossible to use, finally went to restaurant to order.

It's a little pricey. That being said I'm still trying to find my favorite Chinese food in Brick and I've been here almost 4 years now. I ordered enough food to feed an army! The Spareribs on the bone were delicious! Fried rice is yummy, it came in the combo but if you order it on its own you can add egg for $1 which I will do next time! Shrimp in lobster sauce were a good size but the lobster sauce is a little lack luster. The chicken chow fun is really really good and had a lot of chicken in it! I will definitely order here again! Oh, I ordered through their website or maybe through Yelp I guess and it uses GrubHub - I rather order through the GrubHub app for better updates!

Consistently good food, lots of choices on the menu. They don't offer delivery, a bummer. I tried to order through GrubHub, with whom I have Free Delivery for 1year; GrubHub's total price was $3.00 More than Komodo charges for the same exact order‼ Needless to say, I ordered with Komodo & drove there myself!

The online ordering system works great. They provide you with a specific time when your order is ready for pick up, providing you with a no wait benefit. The food is always freshly made and plenty of it, hot and delicious. Moderately priced when compared with other restaurants in the area. You will be pleased!

First visit yesterday ... Girls at the counter could not have been nicer ! My Shrimp with Lobster was delicious ... Passion Fruit Slushy was tasty too ... Will be back again for sure ...

Went here last night, the inside itself was very nice. Food came out hot which was nice. It just seemed average to me, all of it. The shrimps were a little fishy and one not even cooked. Fried chicken was too greasy. And wonton soup and lo mein were okay. Nice people working, but definitely better options

Great Food NO MSG (that was major for me) The place was clean, neat, organized, and bright. The workers was nice. It was very family oriented. Family business. They have nice big screens with the menu, and prices on them. EVERYTHING is made fresh! They are on top of everything. Very helpful. They have a bubble tea bar, and a soda machine w/fountain beverage. They also have a drink case to choose from. My food came nice, and hot. They give an abundance of food. It was Delicious. Everything was just right. I got brown sauce aswell. Goes on well. However, it was cooked to perfection that I didn't even need any sauce. I had so much leftover to go. I recommend trying. Nice for dinner dates, night out, quick lunch. They also have outside seating. Very recommended. 10/10

We ordered QT gen Tsao chicken, QT sesame chicken, steamed pork dumplings, pork lo mein, fried rice, edamame and BBQ boneless spare ribs... everyone loved their food. We qualified for FREE QT of food that the server advised us of... we were very happy with service too.

Amazing food! The service was quick and pleasant and the store was clean as a whistle. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was so tasty and just what I was in the mood for. Can't wait to go back!

A pretty great local spot for (American style) Chinese food, now that there's new owners of this place. Komodo opened up a little bit ago, during the height of the pandemic. The original owners here tried to use machines to cook the food - why, I do not know, because it ended up tasting like something from a vending machine. Thankfully, the new owners have turned this place around, and are actually wok cooking the food in the back. The menu here is smaller than you'll see at your typical Chinese food joint, focusing on what I'd call "the basics"; things like general tso's, chicken and garlic sauce, etc. So far, the highlight has been their orange chicken, which has pieces of orange peel shredded throughout the dish. The pork fried rice is OK, although imo it could use a little soy sauce or sesame oil or something, it's a little one note. Bubble tea is also sold here, a plus, although it can be hit or miss - sometimes it's pretty good, other times it's kinda watery, or comes without ice (warmish). I'll probably get my bubble tea fix elsewhere if I'm being honest. All said, this is now a solid choice in the area if you want Chinese food. Friendly staff, quick service, and good food. I'll be back.

A little pricey on some items, but the food has always been good, and we've tried many different items. My kids also love that they can get bubble tea while we wait.

I switched from my favorite Chinese spot to Komodo, the spicy chicken dishes kick, and is currently the best Chinese food I've tasted!!

Mediocre food. The fried rice wasn't good (very bland). This is unforgivable for a Chinese place. The ribs were ok.

My boyfriend and I LOVE bubble tea, and we stumbled across Komodo online. We were surprised to find out that they had a bubble tea bar with a ton of flavors! We tried 4 flavors- strawberry, taro, chai, and tiger milk tea. They were all great but our favorite was the tiger! It was so sweet and yummy. Great and friendly service as well! Will definitely be returning to try the food.

Such a mistake when there are better places in town. Every meal my family ordered was sub par, and the bubble tea didn't have any tapioca...

If you ever want to experience what Chinese food would taste like in places where you would assume Chinese food wouldn't be very good, then I would totally, absolutely recommend this place. The fried rice was terrible. No egg, no seasoning, frozen veggies. The meats were undercooked and undersauced. Big miss.

This spot is welcoming and comfy. The customer service is GREAT! And the food was spot on! We drove from Jackson over to check them out! Must try if you're local!

We have lived in brick for 5 years and have been searching for a good Chinese place! We tried a lot of them, hated the place that was in this location prior, but gave it a shot. We loved everything we got. Chicken lo mein was very good, small pieces of chicken, not thick or chewy.we always judge a place on a the fried noodles you get from Chinese places (a lol of places switching to the fake ones !) this place had really good ones ! Dumplings were good too (a little oily but still good) would deff order from them again

komodo / is under new ownerdhip / im writting this on 5 / 8 / 2022. the current owners are chinese. the previous owners were not . i belive this explains the improvment. i was not impressed by the previous owners . they were nice people but did not understand chinese cuisine. the new owners are very good at what they which is making delicious chinese food . give the new owners a try / im sure you will agree . im a regular customer . they know me as a regular customer and im treated like a v.i.p. but they seem to do that with everyone . the food is fresh / fast / and always correct . they always pit extra sauces / forks / spoons / chop stix / sometimes the throw in extra egg roll or extra soup. its just a great choice . i think youll agree ....

I was passing by Brick to visit a friend when I saw Grand opening signs for this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find a joint like this one in Central Jersey! I ordered the BBQ chicken skewers and mango slush. The chicken portion was HUGE!! Also very happy that the chicken was ACTUALLY BBQed instead of BBQ sauce slobbered over my skewers! I have to say I usually don't see this at a Chinese take out restaurant! The chicken chunks were THICK and JUICY. Unlike other restaurants, Komodo cooks the meat to perfection so it is not overly dry or stale. Chicken is lightly coated in BBQ sauce so the chicken is not overpowered. YUM! The mango slush was just the right amount of sugar and ice. New blenders ALWAYS makes the best slushies. =) I can't believe they EVEN have brown sugar bubble milk. The hype is here! Overall a great protein meal for a quick stop! Will stop by for the famous Komodo Chicken next time!

I can't comment on the bubble teas since they aren't my thing, but the food was average at best. I've learned that the food is made my machines, which is why the food tastes the way it does, you need a human to be able to alter and adjust; many of the dishes we ordered were too salty and not properly cooked/prepared. Would be willing to revisit if they hire a human chef.

This place is on point. Used to be another Chinese spot so when I was craving I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a new place. Clean, quick and delicious. The Komodo chicken is fire it's nice that they have real bubble tea and plenty of choices. Great addition to the neighbourhood.

I usually can't eat Chinese due to the high levels of sodium/MSG crap that's in some of the typically places around here. I pretty much stopped eating Chinese unless I'm up north or in NYC. However, I tried this place based off of the reviews and I love it. It's lighter, but tasty and I haven't had one bad thing yet. I really like the Komodo chicken. The egg rolls and spring rolls are basic but still tasty. I'm happy that I have a new go to Chinese restaurant. Oh...the boneless spare ribs are pretty awesome too!

So far I've tried the boneless spareribs, Komodo chicken , general tsos , lo mein , and pork fried rice. All I'm a local and i love Chinese food. The food is absolutely at par or even better then los garden.

AWESOME PRICE ON TIGER MILK TEA!!!! This will be my go to place going forward. Great food with fresh ingredients for Low price.

No flavor, dry(boneless ribs), chewy beef, mushy broccoli (beef and broccoli), charged $4.50 for house special upgrade with barely any meat. First and last trip here, awful!!!! Spent $23 and tossed it after a few bites

Awesomeness, Best Chinese restaurant in the area. The first time my family and I had dinner here I was so surprised at every dish that I had to come back two days later just to make sure what I was eating was for real. And yes it's for real! (for the area)

Been around the Chinese food scene for a while now and this is as best as they come. Everything we tried was really fresh, and super consistent (they've got robots making the food!!). Seriously check this joint out it's awesome. Top 3 bubble teas I've ever had too. Staff super friendly, we'll be back soon.

We had the Komodo Chicken, chicken wings, egg roll, and Bubble tea of course. Everything was fast, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The robots cooking the food was about the coolest thing I have ever seen. I was disappointed I did not have my kids with me and cannot wait to go back so they can see the robots. The Bubble tea was some of the best I have ever had.

Not good, not bad, just mediocre Chinese food. Everything tasted processed and loaded with sodium. It's clear the food is made on a production line by machines. The peach green tea tasted like perfume, the pork fries rice had minimal pork in it and the beef with broccoli had broccoli that was barely cooked. If you're in a pinch, order, otherwise find another option in the barren Brick, NJ Chinese food landscape.

Food was good but unfortunately my order wasn't complete when I called they said they would try and bring the missing parts of my order, but there wasn't much they could do bc they where swamped... I never heard back from them and no one ever dropped off the missing parts of my order.

I know Chinese food, I've traveled all over these United States eating Chinese food from Anchorage to Dade County and Komodo laughs in the face of all these Golden Dragons and Lo's Gardens. You want fresh this Chinese food is fresher than Slick Rick and Biz Markie combined. The service is 5 star, quick and polite. The young boy behind the counter gave me enough side sauces to sink another Titanic. The Dumplings delicious just killing the dumpling game. The Rangoons are so good I'm filing for divorce so I don't have to share them with my wife. The General Tso chicken is so fresh my order laid an egg. The wonton soup tastes crisp, clean, and delicious not salty and oily like the typical competition. To be fully honest I'd let my now ex wife bath in this soup and still eat it because that's how clean and fresh it tastes. If your wondering about the Beef and Broccoli stop because I'm about to tell you. That beef was so tender and fresh I heard moo'ing coming from the kitchen. This restaurant obviously kicked MSG to the curb. And the restaurant itself clean as motherf****er the floors shine like diamonds and the walls are whiter than the Republican Convention. I'm basically ready to throw out my oven and be on a strict Komodo diet.

Delicious! Tried for the first time yesterday and was so glad we did! Had the wonton soup, steamed dumplings, pork fried rice and chicken with broccolli. Everything was so good. I would highly recommend. Portions were a good size, everything was packed for take out perfectly. The place is immaculate and the staff are friendly. Can't wait to try some other dishes! A welcome addition to the Brick area.

I should have noticed the reviewers locations. This place was not as good as the reviewers from Italy and NY were stating. Food was not tasty and the portions were the same as most Chinese takeouts. After tasting their signature komodo chicken, I was not impressed at all. I've definitely had better tasting chinese food (Lo's Garden). I did not see the robots cooking my food for I ordered ahead. Be honest, I think I'd rather have a person cook my food the way I want. This is coming from an honest reviewer who relies on these reviews to try out a new place. Sorry I don't have pics, I threw it out.

Two stars is because the price was reasonable and service was quick. Their "fried" rice is really only white rice with soy sauce-not fried at all. Spare ribs are too sweet, Komodo chicken would've been tasteless if it wasn't for the jalapeños. The won ton soup broth was good and scallions fresh but the dumpling was too doughy. I was so looking forward to a good experience but disappointed again.

Loved the food! Especially the roast pork lo mein... and the fast, efficient service! Friendly staff... eager to please!... George is the BEST!!... and don't forget to try the bubble tea... it is worth the trip just for that experience alone!!!
