The 20 Best Restaurants in Waikiki, Hawaiʻi | Eater

"After 30 years in the coffee business, including starting (and eventually selling) the Honolulu Coffee Co. chain, Raymond Suiter began Kona Coffee Purveyors to focus on Kona-grown beans. Find the brand’s single-estate Kona and other Hawaiian coffees at this cafe in Waikīkī, along with treats from San Francisco’s B. Patisserie. If you come just for coffee, good luck passing on the pastries and desserts, which could include a strawberry guava kouign amann or a black sesame tart. Know before you go: The pastry line can get long, but if you want to also purchase coffee beans or other merchandise, you can head to the separate counter to the right, where you can also order baked goods." - Martha Cheng

I visited around 11 AM. The line took about 20 minutes and then a few more for the coffee. Cold brew (small - $6.25) was delicious. It tasted nutty and chocolaty, and very smooth. I also had their coconut and pineapple croissant ($6.25) which was surprisingly good. It was not too sweet but definitely had the pineapple flavour. I'll be coming back!

Google
This place was great! The pastries were out of this world delicious. My iced vanilla latte was very good. I’m not a “coffee” drinker but I did buy some to take home because the flavors sound amazing. This place is so busy, I arrived at 6:50am and there were already 30 people in front of me. The line did move quickly so don’t let the long line deter your visit.

Google
Kona Coffee Purveyors is a gem for coffee lovers! I visited around 8:00 AM and was greeted by a long line. The wait was worth it—the coffee is creamy, rich, and bursting with flavor. Paired with their incredibly fresh and delicious bakery items, it’s a perfect morning treat. The vibrant atmosphere and quality make it clear why this spot is a local favorite. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch coffee and pastries!

Google
Excellent coffee. Just as good as Melbourne coffee in Australia. Creamy and strong. No burnt flavour which was great and consistently good coffee. Pastries are divine. I can see why the line can get quite long in the morning first thing. If you’re a coffee connoisseur it’s worth the wait. The beans are locally sourced from Hawaii and the pastries are from San Francisco I believe and won multiple awards. I went back everyday during our stay.

Google
The coffee and pastries were really good. The atmosphere was really cozy and the smell was heavenly!! There was line before they opening but it moved really fast, The toasts looked amazing but unfortunately they serve it after 10am and just till 2pm so have to go back for those!

Kay

Google
Best kouign-amann I've ever had in my life! I came here every day during my stay in Hawaii. There aren’t many seats, but that’s okay — the pastries and coffee are sooo good. Totally worth it!

Vicky

Google
The coffee here is wonderful. Great quality and rich flavour. A bit pricey but worth it. The atmosphere and service is great. We got the Hawaiian honey iced latte and the black lychee iced tea. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

Google
Go early in the morning right when they open, if you wanna get a nice coffee and fresh baked pastries! Banana chocolate almond croissant is die for! They also have grilled toasted sandwiches options from 9:30 am, avocado toast is really good. But sometimes the lines are crazy long and you gonna wait 30-40 min

Alex D.

Yelp
The pastries that I got were good. The espresso not so much. It was super sour which meant that the barista did not make it right. The lines were so long that I didn't bother going back. I just gulped it down for the caffeine and not the flavor.
google avatar

Paul A.

Yelp
Yeah...this is the hottest spot around. The line will be 30 people deep even before they open. Everything is expertly made. Yes, it is all worth the wait and hassle. Do not miss.

Yelp
This place was good but not worth the wait. If the wait is longer than 20 minutes, I would suggest you go elsewhere. I came at 3pm in the afternoon so there was no wait. They did run out of all their espresso-based drinks so I ended up getting the cold brew. The cold brew was solid: strong and good. However, it was nothing more than I would expect from a legit coffee roaster. So, it met my expectations but it didn't live up to its hype which to me was exceptional coffee. So recommend I going but don't go with very very high expectations. I got the Maui Pineapple coconut almond croissant. I regret getting that one because I am not a fan of coconut actually. But I felt obligated to get it since it was a local flavor. lol. I would have been much happier with a plain butter croissant. There is inside seating and outdoor seating. The interior is modern. It's located in the International Market Place.

Yelp
This place always has a really long line in the mornings so since I'm in Waikiki at 4:00pm there's absolutely no line & very little by the way of pastries to chose from. There were a few regular croissants left & one lime, mango croissant all by itself so I chose it. I noticed the sign on the counter they said they poured only 100% Kona Coffee so I inquired about it since I didn't think anyone could make that claim. They confirmed it was, so I decided to have a cup - until I saw a sign for iced chai. That was it for me! I almost fell over when I saw the price rung up: $14.40!!!!! Whoah!!! I decided to bite the bullet & bought myself a treat. The croissant was crunchy & soft & very flaky & delicious. The chai was delicious & not too sweet (I had them use soy milk). Now I know why this place is so popular - even at these prices.

Yelp
Girls outing in Waikiki! Parking was so easy at the Intl Market Place, take the parking ticket they validate! Don't be intimidated by the line it will move and Trust me it's worth it!!! We came specifically for the amazing Kouign Amann found here. Unfortunately I couldn't get a honey latte since their steaming machine was down so I enjoyed a brewed kona coffee. Efficient friendly service and their pastries are amazing. They said the most popular one is the sesame Kouign amann and they were spot on! I also got the avocado toast tartine which was just okay.....it was a perfect morning in Waikiki, delicious goodies, plentiful parking, kona coffee and girl time! Well be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was amazing! The pastries was to die 4, especially the kouign Amanda! It was the BOMB!!! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Never fails. This place is a knocked out. It's in Waikiki just half a block from our hotel. We got in line when they opened and there were 20 people In line already. Since they opened, we've been coming. Amy pastry you get, you won't disappoint. If you want to buy their beans, you don't need to be by the long line. There's a separate line for beans and you can order your coffee any pastry, as long you buy a bag of beans.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're staying or visiting Waikiki, this place is a MUST for pastries and coffee. Line is always out the door especially in the morning but it goes by pretty quickly as they are very efficient and organized in taking your orders. Price point is a little steep but so is everything else in Waikiki. Lol. Not a lot of seating areas inside but they have some tables right outside the place. Their pastries are heaven sent! Not only do they look good but they also taste amazing. Our most fav one is their Chocolate Banana Almond Croissant! I've always been a fan of chocolate and almond croissant and adding banana to that is literally a cherry on top for me so this is perfection. The flakiness of the croissant is one notch away from croissants in Paris! Also, you would think that it's super sweet and overwhelming but it's not, taste wise it's really good! Another thing that we love is their Mushroom Gruyère Tartine! It's so cheesy and gooey and just so amazing! I can probably eat like 10 of them bc it's so good. These things are only available from 9am-2pm btw. For the coffee, I've also tried both their mocha and cold brew. The espresso they used in the mocha was very rich and full of flavor. But I think their mocha sauce and milk choice could have been better. The cold brew tasted light but it was just decent imo. As the day goes by, this place gets less crowded and busy. However, just keep in mind that their best seller pastries might also be sold out by then!

Yelp
I just came here for the Kouign amann, and it was the best treat we had on our Waikiki vacation. It was crispy, flakey, sweet (but not overly so), and yummy. We didn't try their coffee, so this review is just for the Kouign amann.
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
Unless you're a croissant, don't flake on this. We came for the coffee but stayed for the pastries! *The tartines are not available until 9:30am and can only be ordered in person! Mushroom gruyere and ham and cheese tartines/toast were good. Banana chocolate croissant was amazinggg. All the kouign amanns were good also. On the last day of our trip, we stopped by to grab 5 croissants to bring home (6hr flight) and it was still good. Lines are ALWAYS long, but you can skip the line by purchasing their beans/products that's on the right hand side; there, you can sample some of the coffee too. Limited tables inside but plenty outside and/or throughout the center.

Yelp
KEEP CALM AND DRINK KONA COFFEE | don't be alarmed by the long line out the door - it's all worth the wait! From the freshly baked goods and the best coffee I've found in the nearby area so far, Kona Coffee is a must to start your day in Waikiki. They have standard coffee and espresso beverages, as well as cold brew, specialty crafted drinks and teas. Definitely recommend their nitro cold brew and you can't go wrong ordering any of their espresso drinks, like the grapefruit espresso spritz I had most recently. They also have speciality pourover coffees for the coffee snobs and connoisseurs. Don't be afraid to ask for pour over samples before purchasing the beans, because it can be quite pricey. They're sneaky for putting the pastry display case along the line - so of course I ordered the strawberry guava Kouign Amann, which wasn't too sweet. My only regret is not also ordering the black sesame Kouign Amann that I was also eyeing. Definitely my go-to coffee shop in this area. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Sheena G.

Yelp
We got there right before opening and there was already a line but it moved really quick. They only had hot kona coffee and liam's punch at the time. We got their black sesame kouign amann and banana chocolate almond croissant, both very good! Also got their chocolate chip cookie, it was huge but very hard. Unless if you're into hard crunchy cookies, I wouldn't get it again. Highly recommend going there before opening because the lines get really long.
google avatar

MyLien P.

Yelp
The pastries were AMAZING. They had an enormous chocolate chip cookie that was delicious. We ended up also getting the black sesame Kouign Annan. It was salty but also sweet. This was my favorite. There was some stuff inside but even with it the crispiness remained, Highly recommend their pastries. There was a salted Carmel parfait that paired really well with the coffee. Service was quick and they were friendly. Would come here again!

Yelp
We had a good first time experience here but it's not somewhere I would search out the next time I'm in Waikiki. Luckily we were 7th in line because if you weren't there at exactly 15 minutes or earlier before they open, the line gets wrapped around, it was wild to see how fast it formed. We had the Kona nitro with vanilla, a cappuccino, 4 different pastries, 2 desserts. At an unreasonably costly morning, the nitro wasn't awful but the cappuccino was not to our liking. The scones were dry for the most part, but the kouign amann pastries were so good! Desserts were a good balance of sweetness and I'm not a fan of matcha but the matcha tiramisu was good. All in all nice customer service, don't go for the coffee, try the kouign amann.

Yelp
I was really excited to check out Kona Coffee Purveyors while in the area, as this place seems to be a huge favorite amongst both locals and tourists alike - There is always a line that formed 15+ minutes before the cafe opens, and the line continues to grow throughout the morning. We actually got there early enough to be firsts in line, which was great - we ordered: +a Seasonal Kouign Amann - the flavors change, but we had the strawberry guava +a Pineapple coconut Almond Croissant +lattes The savory items don't get released until after 10 AM, which is weird - however, on their online ordering system, it's available a few minutes after they open, so not sure if they prepare some for those orders? Unfortunately, the pastries, which seemed to have been baked the morning of, were not good - they were very dried out, almost stale-like, so not sure what the situation was. It was not the flaky, buttery, yumminess that one expects, so it was unenjoyable. The lattes were okay - it had great latte art, but I did request mine to be prepared 'extra hot', which it wasn't. The price point is definitely higher, which doesn't warrant with its quality. With this hype, I was pretty disappointed. Service was friendly, though, and the line does move pretty quickly. +avoid the pastries +okay lattes +friendly service +long lines

Yelp
This is a famous coffee spot that tourists enjoy. It is very picturesque and all the pastries and coffee do look pretty! In my opinion, the infamous Kouign-amann pastry was extremely buttery but very nicely flakey. We tried 3 flavors: original, pineapple mango, and black sesame. There wasn't a whole lot of black sesame filling at all, and it didn't taste like it at all, just tasted like butter. The bottom of the pastry was so overly saturated with butter that it just fell apart. The original was honestly the best tasting and least buttery. The pineapple mango jam was decently filled. At $7.25 each, not worth it in my opinion. For the espresso based drinks (latte and cappuccino), they use their Waikiki blend, which is not Kona beans. The specialty drinks were not worth the $7.50, there wasn't a strong taste of coffee, it was just sweet. I had high hopes for the black sesame latte, but it didn't taste like anything at all. They had a picturesque beautiful design though. The venue had good seating indoors and covered seating outdoors. The milk and sugar station was a bit overflowing with trash, and there isn't a return plates/dishes location, which should be implemented otherwise people leave dishes on tables or you return them to the serving counter, which seems unsanitary. They do sell a lot of merchandise: Kona coffee beans, thermos, mugs, coffee appliances and accessories. Although busy, the line moved really quickly. They do validate parking. Servers are nice and quick!

Yelp
Such a cute place with its calming trendy wood interior! It's located in the International Marketplace downstairs. This place always has a line and luckily when I went it wasn't too busy. I was able to grab all the pastries I wanted. We ordered the sesame kouign amann, banana chocolate croissant, and cinnamon roll. My fave is the sesame one!! The staff is also amazing! They're so welcoming and patient Also the coffee is amazing! I've gotten the coffee beans before Check it out!
google avatar

Cynthia W.

Yelp
Just another 5* review for this amazing place. Their kouign Amann was absolutely delicious and it's the best I've ever tasted. Buttery, rich, crispy. Definitely worth the wait! Staff were very nice and friendly despite the long line. There are tables inside and outside the cafe. Big counter table for standing customers. Love the vibe and atmosphere it provides.
google avatar

Yelp
On a rainy day, we ventured into international marketplace for our Friday coffee safari, and were pleasantly greeted by Kona Coffee Purveyors. The coffee shop and patisserie is incredibly crowded, but the baristas are young and lively and move the lines along fast. Most of the diners we saw were tourists, likely staying in the area. However, we'd come back again to enjoy the people watching and delicious 100% kona coffee, also available in nitro and cold brew form. Seating is pretty limited, but the mall has lots of chairs and benches a short way from the storefront. There is also a food court right next door in case delicious baked goodies are not your jam. We weren't hungry upon arrival, but will be happy to try their assortment of tartines, croissants, and scones next trip!

Yelp
This was an amazing coffee shop that we enjoyed almost everyday/morning for amazing coffee and coffee drinks and their amazing pastries. I could write paragraphs, but I'm going to let the photos do the talking for my 5-star rating!! When I come back to Honolulu, I MUST be within a 5-10 minute walk for Kona Coffee. The only challenge - in the morning, expect to be welcomed with a LONG LINE for 15-20 people to get your coffee and pastries!! But, oh, it's well worth the wait!!
google avatar

StaciLei T.

Yelp
If you're in Waikiki early in the morning, Kona Coffee Purveyors is the spot to be for coffee and pastries. There will most likely be a line, probably a long one -- but you can skip the line if you're buying bags of their coffee beans. I came by around 7:30 am and the line took about 30 minutes. We also ordered a pour over that took an extra 20-25 minutes. The wait time definitely goes down throughout the day, but with that so does the pastry selections. I had been craving a black sesame latte for a minute, and I'm so glad that them here! My boyfriend wanted a hot coffee and I meant to order him the Kona drip coffee but accidentally got the pour over -- not sure if he appreciated it and it did take a long time for them to prepare. Our pastry selections: - Almond, chocolate, and banana croissant. It's like a traditional almond croissant but next level with frangipane inside and on top but with the added chocolate and banana added. - black sesame Kouign-amann, which is like a round croissant but even more buttery and a caramelized outer layer. - savory cheddar and bacon scone, in the best way it reminded me of cheddar bay biscuits. The staff and service here is amazing and if you have the time to wait or catch them without a line- be sure to treat yourself!
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
This spot is a hotspot in Honolulu! The lines are always long and go through the door. They have a wide variety of pastries to choose from as well as coffee options. The coffee tasted a tad burnt, but was still enjoyable! The pastries are where it's at though. They were all perfectly buttery and tasted so good. The wait might be a bit long but it is worth it. The service was really nice too and explained everything to us when we had questions. The interior was so nicely decorated, too, since we visited during Christmas season. If it wasn't super crowded this would definitely be a very cute spot to meet with friends or even get some work done. This was definitely worth the wait!
google avatar

Sunny V.

Yelp
Very popular pastry and coffee place. There was a long line so prepare to wait and be patient. Trust me though, the wait is worth it! There was limited seating since it was so busy but we were able to find a table. We ordered a variety... two Kona Cold Brew Coffees, Avacado Toast, Mushroom Gruyère, Butter Croissant , Classic Kouign Amann, Seasonal Strawberry Guava Kouign Amann, Chocolate Kouign Amann, and Black Sesame Kouign Amann. Staff was very friendly! The coffee was so good! I recommend getting the Mushroom Gruyère for sure and the Strawberry Guava Kouign Amann is a MUST!! Overall I had an amazing experience and will hopefully be visiting again soon!
google avatar

Lewis C.

Yelp
The lines in the morning are extremely long, but the pastries are top notch and worth the wait. On the wall above the pastry display case is a sign that reads "b patisserie", which is a nod to a partnership agreement with the highly acclaimed pastry shop of that same name in San Francisco that makes incredible croissants and Kouign Aman. We went to KCP two mornings in a row and tried several of their baked goods - the chocolate chip cookie, the pineapple almond croissant, the chocolate banana croissant, the banana bread, and the Kouign Aman. Every one of them was excellent. Especially the croissants. And the chocolate chip cookie.
google avatar

Albert K.

Yelp
30 minute wait. Coffee and pastry line is different. Their pastries are some of the best I've had. Specially the ones with chocolate. Croissants are top notch.
google avatar

Alice Y.

Yelp
We did not think we would like such a touristy spot but we ended up coming here 3 times during our short & sweet babymoon! Our personal favorites: -BEST ham and cheese croissant we've ever had. Flaky, savory perfection. MUST GET. -Liam's kouign aman (seasonal, passion fruit filling). Wow so so so good!! -mushroom tartine. Also so good!! We wanted to try the prosciutto one but they were out Coffee is also solid from the little sips that I had. My husband was impressed by the coffee here, and that says a lot. Staff works like a well oiled machine. We came at around 6:30-6:45am and were one of the first few people in line! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
It was 8 in the morning on a weekday and there was a long line out the door. My dad being a coffee connoisseur, I decided to line up in his behalf to try their coffee. It ended up being a 30 minute wait till I placed my order for just a cup of coffee and a pastry, the black sesame kough aman. After ordering it took another 15 minute wait for the coffee. Similar to Starbucks, you get the sugar and cream on the counter by yourself. There is also plastic cutlery available. I saw other people had proper cutlery so not sure if they just forgot about it when I told them I am dining in. Anyway, was the coffee worth the wait? No, not really. The coffee wasn't anything special. The black sesame kough aman was buttery but unfortunately too sweet for me and lacked black sesame flavour.
google avatar

Veronica A.

Yelp
Great tasting coffee.... super long lines in the morning . The service is friendly. There are pastries that go with the coffee and they're pretty good. We tried the croissant... ! The place is cute & cozy. If you like good coffee, this is the place. Just be ready to stand in line in the morning when it gets so busy.
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
Their coffee is good, but what I love is their pastries!! Got the ham & cheese croissant, and it was absolutely delectable! Always a line, but so worth!
google avatar

Myra G.

Yelp
Best coffee! Best pastries! Line is always long for a reason! This is a great place to get 100% Kona Coffee beans. Every once in a while, I love getting the box to go for my accounts. This time I took one of my friends here who was visiting to bring back coffee beans back to the mainland. If you're going to bring back coffee beans make it 100% Kona Coffee Beans!
google avatar

Marissa K.

Yelp
Love this place! There's usually a long line but it goes by pretty quick. We ordered their famous kouign Amann, butter croissant, ham & cheese croissant, and butter mochi. We also ordered their cappuccino. We can pretty much scarfed everything down because it was so delish!
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Found this gem in Waikiki while we were staying at a nearby hotel. We fell in love with this place as their iced latte were perfect! We tried both the Kona beans and the Waikiki beans. My husband liked the Kona beans and I liked the Waikiki version as it was more smooth and less strong. We even bought a pack of beans to bring back home and we used it right away. We didn't try any of the pastries, but we did order the Prosciutto and Burrata during one of our visits. This cafe is always busy and seating is hard to come by, but the line is always worth the wait. If you purchase merchandise, you can skip the regular line and join the line at the right of the bar. We visited almost everyday of our visit to Oahu and look forward to eventually coming back again in the future!
google avatar

Johnny M.

Yelp
Kona coffee is complex, not too acidic, and has a memorable aftertaste. The pour over is $12/cup, which may be too high for the ordinary consumer. Even if it's made from 100% Kona beans, the cost is not justified compared to other prestigious beans grown in renowned regions- for example the Blue Mountain Jamaican beans retails for $8/cup. Cost and wait aside, their pastry is on a class of its own. The pineapple almond croissant and black sesame kouign-amann stole the show.
google avatar

Andrea O.

Yelp
This place instantly became the obligatory breakfast place during our stay in Waikiki, despite the constant long line. Yes, staying in line is totally worth it and btw if you need to buy coffee beans or merchandise you can skip the line and go to the cashier on the right and order coffee and pastries too. All pastries we tried were exceptional, chocolate kouign Amman, pain suisse, chocolate chip cookie, tart flan, macadamia nut chocolate opera cake and lemon tart. Everything was fantastic. Coffee was delicious too, I always went with my fav, breve cortado, fantastic. Also, they're very organized and the service itself is pretty fast, so you get your coffee pretty fast after ordering. Definitely recommended.
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
The lines are extremely long in the morning, but they move at a decent speed. The key is to go straight inside and go to the right. They have essentially 2 cash register areas. The main one that everyone lines up for will lead you to the showcase of their pastries while the other line doesn't have much besides their coffee beans. BUT, you can order the same menu items. The con is, you just have to know what pastry you want. I highly recommend the kougin amann in any of the flavors they offer. It's the best pastry I've ever had. It's like a super crunchy, light, croissant. The employees there are also super nice and positive and makes the experience all the nicer. I bought a few beans to go and it is pricey, but worth the flavor.
google avatar

Marian D.

Yelp
Liked - Liked - Liked - Liked - Liked - Liked - Liked - Liked Black Sesame Kouign Amann Regular Kouign Amann Quiche Coffee with Honey & Vanilla Everything I had here was delicious! This is located right outside of a market place, there is seating, though limited. Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked The line was incredibly long and this made some people kind of aggressive and that was not cool. I'm sure there's not much they can do about that, but it was a very awkward element to this visit.

Yelp
One of the spots I wanted to go to with my wife. Fancy atmosphere inside with a ton of options of bakery goods. I went with the traditional cold brew and butter croissant. Seating inside and outside so you have options and the service was super friendly even wiping the table outside for us.
google avatar

Michelle K.

Yelp
While the line was long, it went quite fast! We got to take our pastries and coffee drinks outside to consume, and we especially loved the kouign amann because it was sooo flaky and tasty. The lilikoi and black sesame were addicting. The coffee overall was okay given its hype. The service, though, was so excellent. They have a parking garage btw right next door, and you can get your ticket validated for the first hour free.
google avatar

Kim T.

Yelp
My friend recommended this place, and it did not disappoint! Be ready to wait, though, because there is a big line. I think we waited about 30 minutes both times I went. We had the Kona coffee latte, and it was good, but it didn't stand out to me. The reason we came back for the second time was because of the pastries. Being from the Bay, b.patisserie is a very popular bakery. This coffee shop makes b.patisserie pastries but with a twist. They have seasonal kouign amann, such as matcha cream, our favorite. They also had a black sesame kougin amann.
google avatar

Adam T.

Yelp
Well worth the wait. I prefer iced coffees, which often gets overlooked at coffee shops, but Kona Coffee absolutely crushed it. One of the best iced coffees, black, that I've had in a long while. Not too bitter, not burnt, not generic. Vibrant, balanced, and full bodied. Kona coffee needs to open in the Bay Area! Pastries also on point, a b.patisserie bonus.
google avatar

Saha S.

Yelp
I got a chocolate banana almond croissant from here, and it was delicious. I finished it so fast that I forgot to take a picture to show. The croissant was nice and flaky and had a nice chocolatey filling. I ended up coming back here numerous times, and even bought a bunch in my last day to bring back home and share with others. I will now make it my life goal to learn how to make these.
google avatar

Jenelle S.

Yelp
The line was out the door and that's a telltale sign of how popular this place is. Even though it was long it moved pretty quickly considering the amount of people that were waiting. It has a very modern look inside, big windows to let the light in and of course the gorgeous smell of coffee and butter in the air from the flaky pastries. We ordered dirty chais and tried a few of the pastries. 10/10 for everything, we were just disappointed they ran out of ham & cheese croissants. Pastries: Chocolate banana almond croissant, Cheddar chive scone, Savory mushroom & cheese croissant, Quiche, matcha filled kouign amann.

Yelp
With nearly 3,000 reviews, I won't spend too much time complementing their coffee and food but let's discuss waiting line. It can get to 45 minutes wait. Is it worth it? Up to you to decide. But if you want to avoid the crowd, go early in morning when they open at 7AM or starting 11AM when the breakfast rush is over. You can also order online and pick up, might be the best option :-) This business is legit amazing. They also do business in San Francisco and are also outstanding.

Yelp
The line looks very long but actually only takes 15 minutes to get the coffee and food. Got the sesame latte and iced latte. Both are average. Their pastry are amazing though!! Especially the Kouign amann. We got the choco, pineapple, and the sesame. Very crispy and flavorful. The price is a little high since it is in Wakiki. Will return to try other pastries next time if the line is not too long.

Yelp
Im not a huge coffee person but the coffee here is amazing... just a black americano or drip with one of their pastries is *chefs kiss* They list their best sellers, but we loved the almond pineapple croissant and the kouign amann

Yelp
There's a long line but that's because everything here is delicious as can be. I love getting an affogato daily when I'm here and they come out quickly, the service is great and prompt, the pastries are also delicious namely the black sesame pastry I love that it's across the street from my hotel and I'll come here every day I'm here 3 years later and still 5 's from me

Yelp
Kona Coffee was right next door to our hotel so it was the first coffee shop we tried. I think I got a Hawaiin honey latte and a sesame kouign everyday for 4 straight days. The latte is very honey forward so if you don't like the taste of raw honey, I wouldn't recommend it but there are lots of other drinks to choose from. I will say that the sesame kouign might be one of the best pastries I've ever tried. Black sesame is really popular in korean cuisine, especially their desserts so it was cool to see that this was one of their best sellers. Only downside is their wait. They have two registers for drinks/food and one on the side for "purchasing goods". I heard that if you buy a bag of beans you can just order your food and drinks at the side register but let's be real, nobody is paying for a bag of beans every time they come here.

Yelp
This place is still a fan favorite. Long lines in the morning. Maybe wait until late morning for your coffee and to cut the wait. Coffee is good. Can't complain. Their kouign amann is my FAVORITE. Black sesame. A bit sweet for my taste but it's so crispy, flaky, buttery. Be careful or else the birds will try their luck on your morning pastry too. Will come back for their pastry. Decent coffee, better than the chain coffee shops imho

Yelp
Located inside the International Marketplace closer to Kūhiō side. The interior has major aesthetic appeal - actually let me rephrase that, everything about this place screams . . . bougie! I'm quite certain they have more tourist visitors verses locals but as a local, I would still recommend this place. The line can be daunting but the wait wasn't too bad during my visit there. Went in on a Saturday in the middle of peak tourist season, August, and the line just reached the entrance. We waited in line to place our order for about 15-20mins and our items were ready in less than 5mins once we ordered; so their staff are very efficient! My friend and I chose to share a prosciutto and buratta tartine. Note: they offer four different types of tartines and they are only available from 9:30am - 2:30pm daily. So a tartine is pretty much an open faced sandwich. Everything about the prosciutto and burrata tartine was delicious except THE BREAD, insert crying emoji! I noticed that they pre-slice and pre-toast the bread, I'm thinking it's sourdough, but it was rock hard. Other than that, the balance of flavors between the prosciutto and arugula were delightful. For the caffeine fix we ordered an iced vanilla soy latte and a cappuccino - $1 up charge for the soy milk. They offer a large variety of pastries and I felt their prices were reasonable, especially since they are located in a high tourist area, Waikīkī!
