"This collaboration between Narda Lepes and Inés de los Santos, one of the standout new restaurants of 2023, has been a roaring success. This semicircular wood structure on the corner (hence its name) of Castañeda street is definitely striking and comes with enough discreet Japanese design features to make you feel as though you’re sitting in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Make sure you start (or finish) with a drink at the bar upstairs, perhaps sipping an “Ash”, its own version of a martini. The open kitchen is fully respectful of the traditions and flavours of Japanese cuisine, so don’t expect any extravagant combinations. The gyozas are a good way to kickstart proceedings, and then we recommended moving on to the Temaki and Nabe sections of the menu: the former come with delicious flavours and marvellously contrasting textures, while the latter will definitely warm your soul!" - Michelin Inspector

"Kōnā Corner, a 76-seat restaurant in Buenos Aires, is the ultimate expression of acclaimed Argentine chef Narda Lepes' lifelong passion for Japanese cuisine and culture. Located in the leafy Belgrano neighborhood, the restaurant blends traditional Japanese dishes with a modern twist. Executive Chef Pablo Chinen and Head Chef Fernando Kanashiro lead the open kitchen in creating an array of dishes that are faithful to Japanese roots and techniques, while presented in a contemporary style. The place is cool but that’s pretty much about it. Service is random, food is not impressive and wine list is ok. It’s not a disaster, but I don’t get what Michelin has seen in here. Maybe is sympathy for the effort to have a Japanese in Buenos Aires.

We came to this Kona just to have a few bites, and we were very surprised by the delicious sushi, service, and ambiance of this restaurant. Even though we only had a few dishes, each one of them was great!!

One of my favorite and most memorable restaurant experiences in BA! The food and service is impeccable - we were a group of 5 and let the staff pick our dishes. The cocktails were delicious and inventive (try the Sakura). The design of the space was warm and sleek with excellent low lighting - and the DJ added to the great vibe. We got there at 8pm and stayed for more than 4 hours. We could have stayed all night!

Amazing place Menu is diverse and very attractive All the food was great and above The only reason I discount a star is I think the price is a bit higher than it should This is specially the case for the main courses: they are x3-4 times the price of the starters and I assumed their size would make up for that, but the sweetbreads are very scarce: I would expect either a bigger ration or a lower price so one can order more variety of dishes Will return for sure

okay! hear me out, this might be a long review, but I will do my best to keep it short, * the food is amazing, I tried sashimi and niguiri, fish is as fresh as you can get, its all prepared in front of you, beautifully crafted and decorated, it even shares some subtle flavors from the decoration * wine selection was simbiotic of what you will want with the menu, there is no wine without any matches * after the sushi delight, I went to the cocktail bar where you can find a wide variety of classic and author cocktails, with a mix of japanese licours, they have plenty of sakes to choose from * last but not least every member of the staff knew their stuff, obviously michelin level attentiveness TL;DR: I will 100/10 come back for the food and/or drinks

Tough to give it three stars but it just wasn’t it. Decoration and atmosphere is a 10, the service was great too. But the food was not where it should have been. Not even close to the best sushi Ive had but one of the more expensive places I’ve gone to for it. Food a solid 7/10 but price/value dropping to a 6/10. About $30 usd for 8 piece rolls. Yummy, but nothing close to blowing my mind.

Food was amazing, the ambience was chic. All the staff were just so kind, especially Victoria, who took the effort to explain things to me in English. 10/10 would recommend this establishment to everyone!
