The 19 Best Desserts In London

"Konditor is the kind of nostalgic cake shop that’s been around since 1993 and is still a go-to for homemade-tasting bakes. Their signature cake is the Curly Whirly—a dark chocolate sponge with vanilla frosting—but our favourite is the vegan chocolate raspberry velvet cake. An unbelievably moist chocolate sponge with layers of tangy raspberry compote to counteract the richness of the cake—this tastes like a Mini Roll for grown-ups. Their Grays Inn shop is our go-to because it has a couple of outdoor tables where you can perch with your cake." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager

The 14 Best Mince Pies In London

"Konditor is a nostalgic cake shop that’s been around since 1993 and is still a go-to for homemade-tasting bakes. These mince pies are available by the boxful, are filled with vegetarian mincemeat, and you can get them delivered nationwide. Don’t leave without trying the chocolate cake too, it’s one of the best in London. Head to the Holborn branch where there’s some seating outside." - sinead cranna

The Best Birthday Cake Delivery In London - London - The Infatuation

"Arrival time: same-day delivery for London postcodes if ordered before midday It’s the one time of the year you’re allowed to be a bit of a diva and no one can say anything about it (at least to your face). Which to us reads as the perfect time to decide you don’t want to settle for a single, boring flavour—you do that every year. This year it’s time to mix things up, so go for the half and half cake from Konditor. This cake shop has been around since 1993 and continues to deliver excellent, homemade-tasting bakes. The half and half means you can get their signature Curly Whirly (a rich dark chocolate sponge with vanilla frosting) and their light and fluffy carrot and pistachio cake—because, balance. " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Rianne Shlebak

Stopped by Konditor in Holborn for cake and tea, a patisserie which I always see in waterloo. Dined here because they had seating and got the hazelnut cake which was tasted just like ferrero rocher. It was good there were cake samples to help you decide. They also had savoury muffins and artisan jam to offer.

The best apple pie that I ever ate!! The almonds and lemon Moon cookies are also a thing you must try, but... The service, oh, it's totally the best. At the next time I'll be visiting London, I'll drop by first of all because of the excellent service. A real pleasure!!

An amazing place to satisfy your sweet tooth. #Cake slices or whole - of all sizes - , off the display or customised, muffins, #biscuits and wide selection of #brownies that would make you drool; they even have #vegan brownies ! I tried the salted caramel and they were sinful! They serve coffee and other drinks too. Staff are welcoming, friendly each wearing a beautiful smile. Definite sweet craving / celebration needs destination. The best thing about this branch is strategically located opposite a speciality coffee place which makes it a good combo 😍. Wheelchair accessibility can be improved.

Lovely little hidden gem. After googling and looking for somewhere with nice cakes near by I found here. Cakes galore with loads on display. We had a latte and a brownie each. The cake selection is huge and the staff are lovely and friendly. I would say only downfall is not a lot of seating, mainly 1 large table and also no toilets available for customers. We didn't let this bother us and had a lovely experience here. Latte was lovely and brownies very tasty. Price wise it can vary. For 2 lattes and 2 brownies cost us about £11. I would definitely recommend specially as the selection is plentiful and staff very polite and friendly.

I recently visited Konditor & Cook, and it was an absolute delight! Their brownies and mince pies are nothing short of perfection—rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor. I took a box of brownies back to my colleagues, and they couldn’t stop raving about how delicious they were. Definitely a crowd-pleaser! What made the experience even better was the fantastic service. Antonia, who assisted me in the store, was incredibly polite and friendly. Her exceptional customer service and cheerful attitude put a big smile on my face. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure customers have a great experience, but Antonia nailed it. If you’re looking for amazing baked goods and top-notch service, Konditor & Cook is the place to go. I can’t wait to return for more of their wonderful treats!

I can remember in about 2017 I bought the best cake ever from this place. At some point after Covid it was saying “permanently closed “ but thanks it seems to be it’s back again.

Absolutely delicious cakes and fantastic/professional service. I personally tried the carrot and pistaschio cake and it was heavenly (see picture). I would highly recommend this cafe/bakery to everyone without hesitation. Too bad their outlets are limited and concentrated in the city.

The shop window was full of promises, with cakes, brownies and tarts, looking fabulous. I purchase two cakes and a brownie and was totally disappointed. Cakes were dry, tasteless and overpriced. I can say the salted caramel brownie was good. But over all felt 'No Joy for cakes.'
